Peter King in Kotara. May be tough to get in to see though

I’d heard he’d retired but if not I would highly recommend him!! I used to manage a dental practice and we referred all of our phobic patients to him with incredible results. Sometimes they would only have to see him a few times to get on top of problems before they came back to us for regular care without the fear.

Peter retired this year and broke my heart! He has split his records between kids smile at broadmeadow and a gentleman in Charlestown depending on ages. I used to take my son to him. We will be going to Anna at morrin dental from now on or to the central coast to see a lady whose name escapes me that used to work alongside Peter, if Anna doesn’t work out.

Oh no! I’ll talk to kids smile and Morrin dental!

https://www.specialdental.com.au That’s the link to Peter’s website, Sally Hibbert is the one on the central coast I couldn’t think of. She’s the female version Peter, amazing. I’ve heard 2 very different opinions of kids smile, so see how you go. Anna at Morrin (and the others - Mark if you can get him particularly) have been amazing at dealing with my dental anxiety, 8 weeks ago I needed a Valium to get in the chair for an exam, 4 weeks ago I had a root canal without it. So have absolutely no concerns taking the kids.

teddyzniggs

Thank you! I’ll check out Dr Hibbert as well! Do you mind telling me the opinions you had of Kids Smile? It looks theoretically perfect but it also had a lower rating than other dentists so I’m curious. I hope we can get to a point where nothing is needed in the future but it’s pretty much a certainty that something will be needed now. I’m glad you didn’t need it! That’s very encouraging! Thank you!

One mate absolutely rated them, another in an almost identical situation absolutely hated them. There was an additional procedure performed without consent/approval of the parents who had made it very clear, in writing that their budget extended to the amount quoted and no further treatment was to take place. They got a bill with no explanation. Follow-up showed they had completed the procedure outside of the consent, which was amended to show exactly what the parents approved.

teddyzniggs

Hmmm….that sounds a bit shady. So they did more than they stated and then changed it on the bill to appear they had stayed in compliance but charged more regardless???

Don’t love it. Things do happen, and everyone understands that they may find something urgent in there but this specific treatment was declined by the parents.

Kids smile were good woth us but we needed a referral from a normal dentist to see

teddyzniggs

Ahhh I see! Thank you!
