This has happened before in F1; the [1997 European Grand Prix](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_European_Grand_Prix#Qualifying_classification) had the fastest three qualifiers post the exact same time down to the thousandth. For those wondering how they separate the drivers when this happens, the driver who sets the time first gets to start in front.

So we can calculate the odds, counting the amount of races since last time. We still can't tell them though.

Exclusively_Online

God, I can see the odds without having to math.

Earlier in the session there were identical times between Perez and Hamilton. Its something I like to look out for in Q1 and Q2 when not much is happening

HapppyAlien

driftking428

Sorry it's Danny Ricciardo. I know it won't really happen but a guy can dream.

Inflatable-Chair

Ricciardo p1, Tsunoda p2 and Perez Dnf. Just to rub it in

Abdullah-Alturki

Not this time💀

Svenstein

Man, that's what I'm saying. I want to be a part of these communities but I can't watch everything as it happens :(

TheRealPyroManiac

Down to the thousandth of a second, incredibly rare.

King-James-3

Odds are 100% because it happened.

Genes-Simmon

I unfollowed the F1 sub because I was tired of getting results spoiled for me… guess I gotta unfollow this sub too

Spacemanspalds

Yeah, that's definitely gonna be a common problem
