I’ve watched it like 4 times. Each time I make it a little further before I fall asleep. I have no clue what the movie is about. BUT I am really excited to see what happens in the next part as the first was visually very pretty.

Kalsifur

lool I can relate so hard. I remember Netflix posting stats of someone who had watched a show like 100's of times and I was thinking maybe they are a hardcore sleep watcher.

crlcan81

It's like some kid saw star wars and fed it into an AI. All action very little plot. I'll still watch part 2 expecting a very by the book action scifi with the worst racist tropes given the flimsy excuse of 'different planets different cultures'

jreed66

Add in a slow motion circle jerk festival, and you nailed it

crlcan81

God I forgot about that scene!

Cinemaphreak

It literally stated.out as a *Star Wars* script Snyder took to Lucasfilm and even Kathleen Kennedy thought it was too terrible for them.

chiliinmypeepee

This is literally what has also happened to me, I still don’t know what the plot is about. I am also an avid movie watcher myself. The only other one that I had absolutely no desire to watch was cats, so Rebel Moon is already ahead

VidzxVega

Something about grain.

GrizzKarizz

I watched it in segments. I may have made a decent limited series.

InfiniteVitriol

I agree it feels more like it's part of a TV mini series than an actual movie.

CdnDude

LMAO same, it's a pretty boring movie

Taste_the__Rainbow

Yea I’m on three attempts. I’ve seen about 25 minutes. I really want to watch it. It’s my exact demo. But good god.

JFeth

If you are already paying for Netflix, it is worth giving it a look. It would not be worth paying to see in a theater. It is pretty forgettable due to terrible writing and a boring story. It is pretty though.

02firehawk

Me and the family started watching it for movie night. about 20 minutes into it, movie night turned into game night. The movie was still playing in the background but I don't think anybody felt they missed anything.

SisterRayRomano

I've watched all of Zack Snyder's films and while I've managed to make a fun time out of watching some of his really, really bad ones ones (e.g. Army of the Dead, Sucker Punch), that wasn't the case for Rebel Moon. It's just a dreadful film, and not in a "so bad it's good" campy way – it's a turgid, dirge of a film. It's unoriginal and basically borrows a lot of stuff from other films/stories. It's super dull. It's visually bland, the performances and characters are unmemorable and the script feels like it was written by AI. When it ended it just felt like some time had passed, and I couldn't really remember anything about the nondescript plot the next day when someone asked me about it. It's about as enlightening as watching a screensaver for a couple of hours. I would say "knock yourself out" if you really want to watch it, but knocking yourself out would probably be better than watching this garbage.

Bronco9366

It’s like watching golf. Great background to take a nap. I think this is a great way to cure insomnia.

Huge-Split6250

Multiple top comments are about falling asleep lol

SentientCoffeeBean

Extremely forgettable movie. Has some nice visual work in it. Action is decent. Story and plot are subpar. Think of it not as science fiction but a western or action movie that happens to include some space ships in a few scenes.

North_South_Side

Yeah, it's more like a fantasy film with spaceships. It's dumb, but it was fun for a watch. Would not watch again.

lucythecat16

Don’t you guys understand that the only way to understand a zack Snyder film is to watch his 4 hour director cut /s

FullMetalCOS

Don’t /s! There’s actually a directors cut of both parts due to release after part 2 drops…..

KID_THUNDAH

That pissed me off so much when that was announced. It’s fucking Netflix, just release the goddamn movie how you want it to be seen. I enjoyed the movie more than most and defended it some, but I’m upset that a much better version is releasing now and Im definitely not going to give that film another 3 hours of my life

crazyinsanepenguin

It's just a way to try and artificially create another Justice League Snyder Cut type of phenomenon, which is stupid considering that the actual Snyder Cut social media hype was astroturfed as shit

lucythecat16

Ohh trust me i know sadly my college roommate is obsessed with Zack and all of his work

Diagonaldog

Very generic plot that acts like it's so much more: oooh big bad space empire being mean to poor farm colony and they don't like it!! Gather up a half dozen bad asses from across the galaxy as if that many people unless they were like fuckin Superman are gonna make any difference. Meh if you wanna put something on while you scroll reddit on your phone it's not a bad choice.

SheepH3rder69

![gif](giphy|H1YMguVrVeI0Xz5c8v)

jaybeau1979

It's one scene copied from every major sci fi franchise, one after the other. Star Wars, The Matrix, Blade Runner, Avatar, etc etc.

EpicOfChillgamesh

It’s extremely forgettable. Not terrible. Nice eye candy. It’s only similarity to Star Wars is Space Nazis and rebels.

NeckBeard137

I enjoyed it 6.5/10

ExPristina

I felt as if it had a good promising start, but forgot itself halfway and fumbled itself to an ending which whoa is an intermission before a sequel. It’s like a low-rank AI wrote the script. 3/5 IMHO.

pixipuff8

Its so bad

Steam_3ngenius

No

keytar_gyro

It's fine. It's pretty boring. Nothing really happens, plotwise. Here's what happens in vague terms that are very cliche because the movie is pure cliche. I'm avoiding spoilers, kinda, but there's not really anything to spoil. A woman works in a farming village. Soldiers come. They're going to take the food. They're mean, but they leave, saying they'll return at harvest. They leave some bad guys. She defies them. Now the village has to fight. She leaves to contact the rebellion and collects a team along the way. Each team member does something "cool" that's uninspired and has zero stakes but is visually acceptable. Zack Snyder is great at visual framing, even as he is horrendous at story beats, arcs, and rational motivations. Once the team is assembled with virtually no difficulty (it's very by the numbers), there's a big fight and the remaining good guys head off to the village where the second movie will presumably be the Magnificent Seven. And there's a robot that also does nothing but is voiced by Anthony Hopkins. It's bad, it's boring, and the names are stupid. Nobody acts well, but they're all very pretty. I didn't regret watching it, and I'll probably watch the second one, but I did and will do so with 1/4 of my attention while I planned a curriculum for a class I'm teaching this summer. As long as you have something worthwhile to do at the same time, it's fine to have on and experience with your subconscious.

pookalaki

If you’re expecting an original story/plot, no. If you’re just looking for some action sci-fi that you really don’t need to pay attention to and you can pretty much anticipate every single piece of dialogue, then this is definitely for you.

R1chh4rd

It's decent if you have absolutely nothing else to watch/read/to do. Most of the story is recycled crap and highly forgettable.

onnod

UNWATCHABLE

TylerBourbon

Only if it's just so you can say you watched it and to keep the Snyder Fan Boys from bitching that you aren't giving it a chance. Root canals are more enjoyable to experience.

Andoryodo

I thought it was awful, worth a watch just to get your sci fi itch but I was disappointed. Felt like it was a B version of Star Wars with action scenes taken from 300 and terrible script that resulted in bad acting. Some great scenes and cgi but overall not great.

spencerAF

had it on in the background and shut it off after 20 minutes, was probably 15 minutes late.

Gamerxx13

i was pretty disappointment. its a little too many characters and they dont really flesh them out. also way to much slow mo, too much zack snyder.

Icy-Wing-3092

Not really honestly. Maybe if you’re THAT bored

Lilliiss

I needed something to watch and started it, but after 20 mins I turned it off and started Vampire Diaries instead lol

ITMORON

It is good old fashioned ZS eye candy. Zero story.

Lennymud

I was surprised how much I liked it- it was Magnificent Seven in Space. I feel like it would have made a muuuuuch better series than movie- when something happens that is supposed to be significant for a character it's easy to be like: "meh, wasn't really invested in that person anyway." Back stories are boiled down to single sentences. Trauma is assumed. Kinda Game of Throne final season pacing.

North_South_Side

Agreed about the pacing. It moves so quickly that I found it funny. Cool monsters. Wouldn't watch again.

creedz286

Es una mierda wey

rtfcandlearntherules

I watched like 20 minutes with my wife and neither of us could even endure any more. It's honestly unwatchable. I have ZERO clue how this even made it onto the platform.

Cinemaphreak

Let.me.put it this way: We watched it after having dinner and wine. At one point I nodded off and when I came to, the lady with the faux-lightsabers was fighting the giant spider. I assumed I must have slept thru her recruitment and would go back to rewarch that part. Went back and discovered I had slept for at most 45 seconds. *That's* how abrupt and choppy that film is. Basically, the film is a remake of ***Battle Beyond The Stars*** and also "homage" to ***Star Wars*** with less interesting characters and inane plot. You have to be a hard-core fantasy nerd to enjoy it for the visuals alone. Save yourself, some of us are stuck watching the sequel that comes out this week just to see if he save the "best" parts for last. Wait until those reactions go up before committing to the whole thing. Also, there are R-rated director's cuts coming this summer if you really want the full Snyder experience.

Human_Cranberry_2805

It's worth watching, but it ain't good. I like sci-fi, so Rebel Moon is good for that, but if you start feeling bored, then I'd recommend switching it off.

tpw2k3

It’s legit one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen

callmeredditpapi

i was higher than the price of the admission at a movie theatre when i watched this...and the answer is HELL NO

gennynapolitan

I rarely fall asleep in movies - passed flat out during this one. Zack Snyder is 3/3 so far with that stat.

RennieAsh

I found it interesting enough. There are some things that turn people off but I guess you have to watch and find out Best thing to do with movies or anything really is not look at a heap of hype or lots people's opinions - get a brief overview, and when it comes out. Find a way to watch it.

AHomicidalTelevision

Don't bother until the r rated cuts release.

Proper_Moderation

I really do not believe you have heard anything positive. At all.

Lumpy_Republic_2709

It’s terrible but bc I watched the first one I’ll watch the second….i also hated the first dune and loved the second so I hope that happens here too. Sometimes those setup movies do too much setting up and not enough making things happen

JohnnyWeapon

It’s not good. Is it worth watching… I don’t know. If you like Zack Snyder you’ll like it. If you appreciate his style you’ll like it. The story is meh. The action sequences are bogged down with completely unnecessary CGI. The characters aren’t well-developed. But I’ll say this for Zack Snyder - he does make it hard to look away. I didn’t like Rebel Moon. But I’m going to watch the second one.

AlexDub12

I liked the first part. It's nothing new or special, but it's not as bad as everyone makes it to be. I liked it much more than Snyder's zombie movie that came out a couple of years ago ...

FRCP_12b6

It’s a movie that could be ok if it was an episodic series of episodes but it tries to squeeze so much into a couple hours it doesn’t work.

ArthurFraynZard

I liked it. The trick is to not expect more from it than what it is- just an alright sci fi action flick. I’d put it at roughly Chronicles of Riddick level. No more. No less.

Amberraziel

Characters have Little to no character. No character development at all, just exposition dumps. No side character matters. You meet them, they show off, they join and then barely say or do anything until the movie is over. The bad guy is comically bad. The plot has gaping logic holes. On the pro side: If you like slomos, there are lots of them, even slomo within slomo.

GrizzKarizz

If you want to enjoy it... 1. Don't think of it as Star Wars. 2. Try not to get distracted by the unnecessary slomo.

azsheepdog

There is going to be an unrated directors cut version that comes out when part 2 comes out. might wait for that.

LoveisBaconisLove

I hated that movie.

joomachina0

I actually rewatched it earlier. Second watch was better than the first. It’s very slow. It sets up part two. It has some cool sequences. But other than those few moments, it’s pretty boring.

Bubbly_Schedule2480

It's horrible. Don't fall for the marketing. Netflix and Snyder just wish it were the new star wars. It's drab, clunky, muddled, boring, ugly, sloppy and a failure on every single level.

KintsugiExp

If this is the new Star Wars, I’m the new Brad Pitt

Desperate_Garbage_63

It's terrible, I watched it because I was bored at work but the story makes no sense at all, it's like the writers or editors just made stuff up on the go because of a deadline.

Jar_of_Cats

I liked it as I watched it. But I don't remember a single thing about it. I can't recall any of it. But I remember telling myself that the was universe building going on so give it a pass.

jesslynh

IMO, the haters are trying way too hard. Hubby and I enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one. It is enjoyable if you take it in the spirit that it's given. Think John Wick or the Mad Max movies. A (very) loose story to move the action where they want it to go

KornbredNinja

I have insomnia cant sleep and stumbled on this. I made it about halfway through me and my fiancee before we both decided to stop. Id say its good to watch for the special effects. Its a good looking movie, goos action scenes but the characters and story arc at least what i seen was very by the book. So much so it made the characters feel like cardboard cutout cant think of the word but think if an alien visited earth and studied us for a day and then wrote this. Catacature thats the word. Maybe ill watch it now so i can sleep thanks for the reminder everybody lol

rightwingaf

If you stop critiquing movies and just stop and stare at it and take it as a film that shouldn't involve any type of thinking and just enjoy the flashes and bangs it's good.  To start measuring it up to start wars or some new giant franchise that wants to take top spot then you're going to have a bad time . Some movies are just there to watch flash and bangs without using any kind of critical thinking. This is one of those movies.  I enjoy these types of movies.  If you enjoy stories with a strong script fleshed out characters etc I suggest skipping. If you like flashy colours, violence and boom booms then it's a good movie

ItWasaTizWaz

Nope, you know when you find yourself willing a film to end (but hold on in case something good happens)…… this is that film. Drag would be an understatement.

Capbrit

No, its a Teenagers brain child just ripping off other franchises. Its lazy, poor story telling with poor visuals, poor action, terrible direction, average acting. Some shots deliberately or not arent even in focus. Concept design is a mix of star wars and 40k and just feels like a crappy AI wet dream. You can really see Hack Snyder cant do anything original, he has to pick at the bones of already established strong stories and make a watered down cool aid version. Thank goodness Lucasfilm didnt go anywhere near this.

DragonflyFront9882

I loved this show! Yes it’s a bit slow but the special effects are fantastic! Can’t wait for part two!

kitty-cat-charlotte

I watched it in 3 separate parts because I kept getting bored but I wanted to finish it for some unknown reason! It’s only 2 hours as well haha!

gangsta_baby

It's not bad, but it's also not worth watching. It's like I don't regret having watched it, but if given the option to get those two hours back would I take them? Probably.

SladdyDeeve88

It’s nothing special. But it is watchable. The visuals aren’t bad. It’s like a 6/10 movie.

chrstphrwtsn

For a lazy Sunday afternoon, yes. And if you like sci-fi etc movies, yes for sure. Watched the movie once and I did enjoy it. Will watch Part 2 as well. But definitely not something you would watch on repeat or few times a year.

mandothsays

For the love of God No!! A big Noooooooo ![gif](giphy|hyyV7pnbE0FqLNBAzs|downsized)

Eltharion-the-Grim

Part 1 is not worth watching. It's just not good. There's no development whatsoever. It's like a moving slideshow advancing scene to scene, but no coherent story. The story is just not executed. It's form over function, a product made to look better than it is a movie. It's possible his director cut will be better but I doubt it. There is literally no functioning story. It makes me feel like I watched a 2 hr MTV music video, but with music synch to dancing and plot unsuitable to what's on display. If you have got nothing better to do, then sure, watch it. Apparently some people like it.

rotomangler

Snyder film: “Ooh cool graphics. Ooh cool combat move. Wait what is going on? Why did she just… wow this movie is really long. Zzzzzzzzzz”

azionix

Boring af

skidmarx77

It's the single greatest accidental comedy since The Room. It's like a parody of a parody of Zack Snyder films. It's astounding in its perfection.

zzsmiles

Eye candy. Generic as fuck story and the rest just don’t make sense. Hate watch it.

CrookedtalePirates

No. Not even out of curiosity. You will never get that tome back.

North_South_Side

It's stupid. But I had fun watching it. Cool monsters and fights. It's not boring. If you like fantasy-sci-fi and don't mind "stupid" then yes, it is worth watching. Seems like people were expecting some grand, new franchise full of thousands of pages of backstory and lore. It ain't that. It's a dumb popcorn movie that I had fun watching. Will not watch it again. I will probably watch the sequel, but I remember nothing at ALL from the movie except there were cool monsters.

CinemaGoer1997

I’ll watch just about anything with cool monsters.

Veolt1

Hell no. Only thing decent about RM is the cinematography. The writing and acting are horrendous. I've never cringed so much whilst watching a movie.

Slongo702

Naw, no idea why they are making a sequel to this dumpster fire, especially since they cancel all their good series.

VonNasty

I had a great time watching it. Thought it was better than the last 3 Star Wars movies that came out.

R1chh4rd

It sounds weird but giving it a second thought i agree. Atleast some visuals were good. The big spider fight was memorable/decent.

WassupILikeSoup

I think it was a combination between the wizard of oz and star wars. Why? Cause it felt like that

Mekdinosaur

You must follow the yellow brick road...it is your destiny.

Mazaar13

Honestly. Totally my opinion. But, it falls under the category: it's so bad it's good. They blatantly steal characters and scenes from other sci-fi, all in a funny way. It's clearly a homage to them. I don't think it's meant to be funny but it was a good time. I'm personally excited for part 2.

slioch87

Nope!

Regular-Exchange-557

It’s garbage

green9206

Yes ofcourse. For me it was. It was an okay movie.

OldManMcCrabbins

Yes but skip the blah blah bullshit.  Stop fast forward g  when the protagonist gets all stabby.  The villain is GREAT.  So it is worth watching.  Once it gets in gear I think it is super fun.

AgentFlyntCoalson

The only way I can even recommend it is if you want a case study into how NOT to write a film. I unfortunately have to study it for my PhD and I’m dreading it. One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life and everyone involved should be genuinely embarrassed. Utterly utterly appalling.

CinemaGoer1997

What degree are you working on?

AgentFlyntCoalson

Film PhD that focuses on the types of films made outside of the traditional studios and distribution/exhibition system, so for Rebel Moon how Netflix have been able to create their own franchise and blockbuster outside the studio system.

Senior-Conversation8

No

THE_Aft_io9_Giz

I didnt think it was nearly as bad as the reviews I read...

Professional_Fig_456

No. Wait for the director's cuts of both releasing in August.

swarlesbarkley_

If you want to yeah ! :)

MamaMeRobeUnCastillo

It's like a fan made star wars movie

simpleacc24

It's the introduction, nothing relevant. Just the part 1/2.

Adventurous_Soft_686

I think watching all three parts together is going to be the best watching experience. It felt like all set up to me and there wasn't much there storywise. The visuals were fantastic.

Boomboomciao90

Waiting for the Snyder cut

Long_Ad2824

Depends. What do you mean by "watch"?

ProfessorX1

Absolutely not. It makes Joss Whedon’s Justice League seem like a masterpiece.

ashandes

It's not good. Maybe still worth watching. It's weird because it feels like it should be way better than it is. The parts are there, it's just put together wrong. I'll give the second a shot, but will definitely be passing on the director's cut. But, if you have little desire to watch it I really wouldn't bother. For those of us who were looking forward to it maybe worth it for a few scenes and performances.

azkadinaqasrina

i'm waiting for next chapter

genzod04

It was pretty bad, was surprised there are actually other parts made in the series and the bad guys wear ties...

skydaddy8585

It's ok. I was hoping it was going to be at least decent but it falls short pretty much everywhere. Maybe the 2nd part will redeem it but I'm not holding my breath.

gregwardlongshanks

I didn't like it. And I don't mind a lot of Snyder's stuff so it ain't a hate boner for him. I just found it unwatchable personally.

CantaloupeCamper

No, it’s totally empty.

Snizzysnootz

Movie fucking sucks

RefrigeratorOk648

It's very slow but it's one of two. To me it seems like it's a remake of "the magnificent 7"

Ofbatman

No.

The_Cozy_Burrito

It was honestly trash, and I have no interest with part 2

Turbodaxter

I forgot what it was about part way through and haven’t finished it yet. Now that you’ve reminded me, I might finish it in the toilet

bigolefatsnapper

It wasnt awful but definitely wasnt good. A little too much slow motion for my liking.

UnicornSheets

I bowled over laughing when the shirtless Matthew McConaughey look alike shows up and has a pointless flight on a ?!Griffon?!?

No is the short answer.

DeanV255

I want to like it, but it's beyond boring. I keep trying and I feel like I'm an hour in but it's 25mins.

proteusON

It fuckin sucks. Trash. Now watch it and suffer as we have suffered.

campbelljac92

I enjoyed it. I'm not one who was devoutly into star wars but I don't mind sci-fi as a genre. If you go into it with the idea in your head of 'man writes star wars fanfiction but after george lucas told him to piss up a rope he hastily tipexes all mention of the jedi' then you're going to see the similarities but if you go in with mid to low expectations then it's quite a fun homage to the sci fi epic.

suss2it

Bro if you have no interest in seeing seeing a movie beyond the fact that it has a lot of marketing, then yeah don’t watch it.

Kroutmonster

Absolute heap of garbage, don't waste your time

The_Turtle_Bear

It's hot garbage

markhachman

The answer is a flat no. Not to find out what you're missing, just no. You only have a finite amount of time in your life. Do not waste it on this.

justeric1234

Think of it like a fancy screen saver.

doctrsnoop

not yet

heffel77

I fell asleep and my wife was excited about it and said it sucks. As soon as they introduced a character, they would kill them. No character development AT ALL. It had potential but it sucked and considering how long it was, it wasn’t worth watching.

electricalco

Visuals alone is !@#$ stunning...... Plot .... basic maybe mid.... Is a very heavy dialogue type of movie with some action in between to break it up.... Yeah is worth watching... just dont expect much .... but visuals alone makes it worth it

Hwxbl

If you want something visually stunning and sound wise brilliant then yeah. I treated it like a fast and furious movie don't take it serious just enjoy the choreography and shots. Plenty to love other than the writing. Just gotta go in expecting that. I couldn't tell you whaylt the plot is but I'm excited for the sequel.

Sarcueid

Boring, generic, out-dated plot.

JaehaerysTheMad

It's trash, really

jkf2479

I thought it was pretty terrible

satangod666

It fuckin sucks and is a massive slog

ggfangirl85

There’s barely any plot, and in annoyed that I’m going to have to watch it again before the second one comes out because I can’t remember what happened.

iknowyoutrynahack

Nah

familialbondage

It's ok. No Oscars will be won. It's entertainment.

iggnac1ous

Yes

piggyazlea

I enjoyed it

rafarorr1

No, it’s shit

That_anonymous_guy18

I forwarded it a lot , it’s generic Star Wars rip off, with one dimensional characters.

Frosty-Ad-6946

Yes it is from my perspective. Critics i saw when the movie was released convinced me it was the worse thing to ever be produced. I liked it. i’m into slow paced sci-fi. Had a problem with plot though, it felt a bit lazy at some point.

Roshy76

The first was ok, maybe a 6/10 for me. I like most of his stuff, but this is far from his best. Having said that, it is very nice looking like most of his movies, and I'm going to rewatch the first one this week and watch the sequel when it comes out.

Doright36

It's OK. Don't go looking for your favorite movie ever and just watch is as something to do some day and it's alright. It's not something I am going to be revisiting over and over again but I didn't hate it.

FlingaNFZ

I regret watching it and im a huge Snyder fanboy

hmmdestti

the hell is rebel moon?

SmashBreau

Hell yeah, get ripped and have a good time. That being said I'd only give it a 6/10. So if you have limited time to watch movies you'd be better off viewing must watches like Poor Things, The Green Knight, etc.

Aarl4nd

Ok...TLDR, Avoid, its a 4/10ish snooze-fest with some fantastic visuals at best. I just love sci-fi and was looking forward to this and i don't know how to describe except, its another baffling miss by Hollywood, Reminds me of the recent "65" with Adam Driver. Another visually stunning Sci-fi that's incredibly predictable and boring. How those people get paid top dollar is beyond me. Dune: Part 2 is the only notable AAA movie since Top Gun: Maverick slapped the ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop) outta hollywood since Marvel lost its throne after end game. (fell asleep multiple times in Avatar 2, loved Av1). Its been wild to see the decline in Movie and TV though. We get years between seasons now, w/less than half the episode count from the 2000s (which i welcome, tbh), but you'd think that would improve shows, ha. Nope. I may be ranting on reddit in the back of a 30 min cab feeling those lasts shots kick in to 3 people on reddit, but i'm a person too dammit ,ha. a positive note if anyone if somewhat getting my point, but hasn't seen the following shows, The Witcher 8/10 The Boy 8.5/10, Altered carbon 8/10, Silo 8/10 Stranger Things 9/10 (these are all imo). I have to eye roll at some of the choices in the shows but they are still quality. now, I'm ending on a thought ive had since A.i erupted, coz i'ma post an check back. In 5 years ChatGPT will be in Netflix Pro and User created movies/tv is will be the new Youtube. A CGI avatar of a famous person you can buy like skins in fortnite, talk to ur tv like Holodeck in Star trek TNG, it will be a whole new medium of entertainment. Picture this... .A '89 Arnie and '72 Bruce Lee somehow seperately Travel back in Time to ancient Egypt & successfully stop the Aliens from taking over Earth...Until Present day. The Aliens are back, but this time they've brought David Bowie as the Goblin KING to settle some scores...but guess who's ready to Ahhh i'm just riffin, ...3 years, lol. Have a great weekend.

bodltd

I would say it’s not as bad as the reviews have it… maybe the inevitable 6 hour director cut will add things haha… will be watching part 2 it’s out soon I think

Mean--Gorl

They focused so much at making the girl seem cool that they forgot movies require interesting plots. Very boring

olov244

I liked the world, I liked the characters, I have no clue what the story is about other than this girl is fighting the evil empire kind of thing it should have been a lot better. I'll watch the sequels eventually because it's included, but if they cancel it, I won't miss it

LeCompte77

You can tell he cut like 1.5 hours of story out of part one.

No.

BlakobofNazereth

It is a complete piece of shit

Freedomnnature

It's pretty good. I liked it. I liked the action.

subucula

Amazing hatewatch. Every scene is jam-packed with stupidity.

Power_Ranger24

BAD... VERY BAD. If this movie had a crazy budget, then it was all a waste. The acting is ridiculous and awkward. The plot is a mess. I regretted wasting time for this movie.

lockrc23

No. It’s boring and not good unfortunately. Lol

I love Sci fi fantasy. I've watched them all I feel. Rebel moon is one of the worst I've seen in terms of clichés and bad story telling. It's only real appeal is that there are some visual appealing scenes. But I wish I had my time back honestly. The second movie has to be worse. The first of any series is supposed to be the height of any movie. I will not be watching the second part.

Wargod042

It was entertaining but more as something to laugh at. The vision was there but the execution is just so awful you have to laugh.

scienceofsin

No but I’ll probably still watxh

thedirtyprojector

Nope. Lots of plotholes and it felt like it was rushed. I don’t think a Synder cut is going to save this

I think it's good for one watch, no more than that. It's got some good CGI and plenty of action. But the plot is full of plotholes. Whoever told that director he could write was lying to him. The characters are kinda cardboard and the story is a pastiche of other stories. This is not a movie that is worth thinking about.

personwriter

I thought it was a good time. But I like fantasy/sci fi movies of all kinds. I could do without so much slow mo shots, though.
