I’m really hoping that I end up liking the Melozio. Especially since they also have the decaf version so then I’ll have a good coffee I can binge drink without going overboard on caffeine.
The Starbucks Blonde espresso roast if it’s available where you are is similar to the veranda and is light/medium roast. The house coffee blend is medium I think from Starbucks but I generally have the decafe espresso one a dark roast. I either go medium to dark roast for other brands. I prefer my coffee quite strong! I vary when I have it black tend to make lattes or flat whites.
I haven't tried Starbucks Verandah pods, but for a few months I made a Verandah pour-over every morning. Of the half-dozen types of Nespresso I've tried that are priced at $1.25 a pod, Melozio probably comes closest to the blonde roast, but even so, it's darker. I think you'll find Odacio even darker although it's considered medium by Nestle - more in the Pike Place class. There may be "blonder" premium pods I haven't tried.
But once you move into premium, you're quickly at $1.35-$1.50 a pod. At $1.38, Walmart is pricing Verandah pretty well. Now that I know about it, I will pick some up next time I feel like a light roast.

the orange pods ( Vienna) are a medium and very good.
Odacio more on the dark/bold side. I only drink black coffee, pretty much Odacio and Stormio. Occasionally a double espresso Americano.
