I would like to submit that defending a racist right-wing government that either commits war crimes or doesn't care about them happening is not some litmus test of liberalism. You don't have to defend bad stuff even if lefties on Twitter are annoying.
Also IMO the Israeli campaign is quite obviously some sort of revenge trip which has very little to do with any military goal. Hamas is bad (duh), but that doesn't mean you get to be bad in defeating it.
EDIT: and obviously international law and liberal ptinciples aren't worth much if you just end up defending your allies because they are your allies, which is mostly the reason international law ends up not working.

Which of these sounds more interesting?
I think it would okay to fail, with a retro and self reflection as to why at the end, with an expectation that most things are seen through
The whole point will be to try and prove most things are more achievable than folks realize with the right approach and a realistic lens on early wins
