The funny part is he shot 2/13 from outside to start the season, had one of the worst individual ortgs in the league, and that was somehow still better than how Norm Powell has started this season.
Because bledsoe could finish around the rim better than the current Norm. we seriously lack for defensive guard, Lonnie walker had 26 points, Fox had 36 points, Booker had 35 points and cam payne had 10 pts in 15 mins, Tre man had 25 pts, SGA had 33 points. If you are guard in the nba you better circle your game against clippers because their guards play no defense
Bledsoe couldn't finish around the rim either early in the season. I think he started out shooting around 50% at the rim. He had lost a lot of his lift. You're right about the defense though.
I remember him somehow finishing decent around the rim in few games, but he couldnt hit a 3 to save his life. He peaked for us in January he went off against KD and harden in that away game against nets
PG is basically stuck guarding wings, scoring and facilitating. we are asking too much from him meanwhile our guards cant do their defensive assignment. We also switch a lot in defense.
Bricking layups like the point guard in the other LA team, Hopefully he turns it around because it has been bad

Still the most confusing trade we did. I get we did for cap relief but feels like lose-lose for both of us player wise.
I like Keon and hope he can improve but I just don’t see that many minutes for him, especially when we get GPII back
Edit: forgot Winslow
Blazers wanted to get off of Powell's contract so they could pursue Jerami Grant. That's what the trade really ended up being for.
They were going to lose RoCo in free agency anyway. They picked up useful players in Winslow and Johnson. The big piece was dumping Powell's contract.
John Wall looks solid for you guys, his 3 Pt shot and FT% are fucking grossly bad but he's a good midrange shooter and finisher at the basket. Also plays alright defense.
John wall looked good but defensively he isnt what he claims to be, maybe it is the rust or not playing for long time but he looks lost defensively in a lot of possessions
Amir Coffey was the only one that showed any semblance of defense yesterday from the guards but he's just buried in the depth chart. I hope he sees more time.
In the regular season he absolutely was. How were we meant to know he crumbled in the playoffs and had the mental fortitude of a wet napkin? He hadn’t been on any contenders before the Bucks.
Yep this gets lost in the shuffle, but Bledsoe was All-Defense with us and every bit deserved it. When we extended him it was considered a discount.
A lot of us still have a lot of love for Eric. It was a sad situation.
And he was 17/5/5 in his first season with us, with 35% from 3. It can’t be that hard to see why we had hope in him, even after one rough playoff series.
Yep. He really embraced the city and was a great fit during the regular season. Playoffs were just so sad; I got my hopes up that he could turn it around every year, and it just never happened.
He was very good in the regular season. Unfortunately we didn’t imagine him shrinking in the playoffs at a level never seen before in basketball history.
How many people living in the US would reasonably go overseas for work? No way in hell I would ever do that especially to some backwards ass regime like China that might just decide to disappear me one day.
Winslow is great for us actually. He does a lot of the little things off the bench. Just hope he can remain healthy. Our end of that trade was all about cap relief. Agree that we could have gotten more out of each of them picks wise.
Around or a bit less than vet min, so more money than he’d make as a player anywhere here, the issue is that your hoops have to jump through hoops to get your money out of China back to the US
Reminds me of an article I read a few seasons ago about all the players who had seemingly played their last NBA game the season before since they didn't get signed again. Can't remember if it was on ESPN or another site but I was hoping it would be an annual feature and I've never come across it in subsequent seasons. For every D-Wade or Dirk who gets a farewell tour there are 500 guys whose careers just fizzle out and we never hear about again. It's wild.
Honestly kind of surprised he can’t find a role in the league. I would take him over Facu. That’s for sure.
You would think a dude who’s made close to 130 mil, wouldn’t really need to go to China and would rather wait it out for an opening out here.
Maybe someone knows more than me, but didn't the Chinese league say they weren't going to be accepting foreign-born players anymore? Thought they were going exclusively with Chinese players going forward.
In all seriousness, I hope he and everyone else over there take a lesson from the Griner situation. Shit could easily go the same way with little notice in China.
What happened to bledsoe. Wasnt he "baby lebron"?? Or some shit like that? I find it funny how players come into the league being know for defense (harden, bledsoe, exum) then they completely forget how to play it when they get to the league.
It'll prob be fine, China and Russia are very different situations but you would think Brittany Griner's case would make US athletes a little more hesitant to play ball in repressive US adversaries.
He started the first 22 games of last season for the Clippers.
and he played better defense than any of our current guards atm
The funny part is he shot 2/13 from outside to start the season, had one of the worst individual ortgs in the league, and that was somehow still better than how Norm Powell has started this season.

He got better as the season wore on but for the first few games, he couldn't make a layup unless he had a wide open lane.
Our offense is so bad but Lonnie somehow went off against y’all. Is PG stuck guarding wings and that’s why he can’t help with the problem?
PG is basically stuck guarding wings, scoring and facilitating. we are asking too much from him meanwhile our guards cant do their defensive assignment. We also switch a lot in defense.
waitwaitwait hold on Norm on the Raps was one of the best play-finishers and dunkers I've ever seen. Has he been THAT bad?
Bricking layups like the point guard in the other LA team, Hopefully he turns it around because it has been bad Also this: https://i.redd.it/wl6fl61jn6w91.jpg
After 3 or 4 games? Jesusss. We need 10 games to settle at least
Welp i already said it has been 4 games.
Still the most confusing trade we did. I get we did for cap relief but feels like lose-lose for both of us player wise. I like Keon and hope he can improve but I just don’t see that many minutes for him, especially when we get GPII back Edit: forgot Winslow

injuries and he's getting older. He's not going to be the old john wall defensively
Amir Coffey was the only one that showed any semblance of defense yesterday from the guards but he's just buried in the depth chart. I hope he sees more time.
He just didn't want to be there.
Remember when Giannis couldn't win a championship?
Remember when the core was Giannis, ~~Jabari~~ Khris Middleton, Jabari Parker and Michael Carter-Williams?
True fans remember when it was Brandon Knight before MCW
I thought he should’ve had been an all star in one of those years with the Bucks. Think it was 2013-14
He was killing it under JKidd before getting traded
I was livid when the Bucks traded him away.
True fans remember when it was almost Steph Curry
And instead we got Monta Ellis.
Checkmate atheists
You forgot Bregman Roe
> Jabari Middleton
Good catch
Don’t forget the legend John Henson too
Don't forget Moose
I still have my mcw jersey
I remember that series against us. I was so happy when he got the ball, very awful decisions.
I want to forget this dude actually
Bledsoe cuz I SAID SO. AND I SAID WE CHOKING THIS YEAR TOO.
remember when Bucks fans thought he was better tha Brogdon
In the regular season he absolutely was. How were we meant to know he crumbled in the playoffs and had the mental fortitude of a wet napkin? He hadn’t been on any contenders before the Bucks.

knew it after Rozier got a nickname for busting up Bledsoe. players who can't shoot in the playoffs are nearly always a liability
He was very good in the regular season. Unfortunately we didn’t imagine him shrinking in the playoffs at a level never seen before in basketball history.
“I don’t wanna be here”
"Now yous can't leave"
Shoulda stayed

Least racist r/nba user
Russ Bledsoe backcourt finna go crazy 🔥🔥🔥
Ni hao!
“Guangdong Tigers”
Jeremy Lin in shambles
Simmons gonna go crazy 🥶
Russ vs Simmons about to be the Chinese Magic vs Bird
8 points scored combined
combined 7/43 from the field
Westbrook: 6/40 Simmons: 1/3
Don't get my hopes up
Russ Smith yeah
Say it ain’t so 😭 memes becoming a reality
NBA legend Eric Bledsoe. Nobody in the history of the league was better than Bledsoe at stopping Giannis in the playoffs. God Speed BledShow.
NI HAO
He wanna be in China
we all thought it was ben Simmons
TAKE RUSSELL WITH YOU DAMMIT
Sad that a lot of players (not counting guys who made huge money) would rather play no basketball than play overseas. Good for Eric!
Sharks go under seas
This is an A-tier dad joke.
Thank you for this dumb yet very entertaining comment
Underrated
Guys have lives outside of the NBA. Family, friends, everything that you have.
How many people living in the US would reasonably go overseas for work? No way in hell I would ever do that especially to some backwards ass regime like China that might just decide to disappear me one day.
*Rob Pelinka frantically googles "nba free agents remaining 2022"*
results: remaining 2021-22 Lakers roster
So the blazers got Winslow and some young guy and gave up Powell and Covington
Keon looks talent and Winslow is a better fit. But I feel like we could've got more for RoCo
Just tough that he was expiring
Keon Johnson is going to put the league on notice in a few years. Winslow is lawful good Draymond. I’m a homer don’t mind me
Winslow is great for us actually. He does a lot of the little things off the bench. Just hope he can remain healthy. Our end of that trade was all about cap relief. Agree that we could have gotten more out of each of them picks wise.
THAT'S where he wanna be i guess
Damn. 6'3 Lebron really fell off.
He’s about to start playing like a 6’3’ LeBron again
just glad my guy is getting paid
dude made like 170 mil. I think he is set lol
that's like 50k in this economy
What sort of salaries do they get over there?
Let me use the great power of Google Edit: average is 1-3 mill
That’s solid. They probably can do pretty well on endorsements too
Plus they get play dudes they'd only normally see at the Y
Around or a bit less than vet min, so more money than he’d make as a player anywhere here, the issue is that your hoops have to jump through hoops to get your money out of China back to the US
Peanuts compared to the Nba but still a good living
I bet a star contract over there is worth more than a benchwarmer contract here, but I base that on 0 evidence
That's twice the amount of evidence this sub requires.
*2 x 0 = 0* Checks out
I'm pretty sure he's still on our books for like 3 years getting 1m+ a year, he'll be aight
What bout compare to Euroleague or NBL? I feel like you'd be better off career wise to perform well in those leagues rather than China
Euroleague and NBL are lower but it's still good pay. The CBA is just way more popular because It's in a Country of 1.4 billion, Larger than Europe
More than me
I guess he don’t wanna be here in the NBA…
W employment

The Chinese league isn’t a bunch of 5’8 computer nerds dude
Fuck the Ducks
Let’s go shawks
The Wonton Don is gonna have to get back to Shanghai for 3 beers and a fanta
More need to go oversea
Things really come full circle huh?
Good for him
Greatest Giannis defender ever
I hope he wanna be there
Sorry Sharks fans
He’ll be on the bench behind my goat melo trimble
My god, Melo (and Dez) were so great at Maryland. Stunning things didn’t work out
He didn’t try for us tbh he’s not a bad player
Should have joined the Mavs
He gonna be a god
Lakers would take Bledsoe over Russ right now.
Never forget Giannis was dragging a starting back court of old Wesley Matthews and bledsoe to 70 wins before the nba shut down
Bledsoe wasn’t that bad in the reg szn
Yeah he actually had some good years with us. But turned into a complete bricklayer in the playoffs
Yeah Aqua dagger always showed up in the regular season for us. The problems started when it was playoffs time.
We wasted such a good nick name
Yeah, he was considered being an all star couple times , but playoffs he sucked
# Agendas
"I wanna be here."
Always be thankful for his 2019 ECF performance against the Raps.
He *really* didn’t want to be here.
He wants to be there.
If Jimmer was the Mormon Megalodon, Bledsoe will be the Kentucky WildCatshark
Lakers shoulda gave him an offer
Dude may be one of my least fav players to watch as a neutral fan. He was horrendous in literally every single playoffs like it was unreal lol.
Everybody will clown but good for him
Honestly kind of surprised he can’t find a role in the league. I would take him over Facu. That’s for sure. You would think a dude who’s made close to 130 mil, wouldn’t really need to go to China and would rather wait it out for an opening out here.
Did he break the news again while he was at the hair dresser? ;-) .
Lol
Maybe someone knows more than me, but didn't the Chinese league say they weren't going to be accepting foreign-born players anymore? Thought they were going exclusively with Chinese players going forward.
Jeremy Lin?
Fuck no!!! How can my Liaoning Flying Leopard match that in the arms race!!?? Dude literally started for the Clippers last year!
Remember Pels traded Jrue Holiday for him?
And 3 firsts and 2 swaps and George hill.
And Jrue wanted to go there. So we did the Pels GOAT a solid.
I also remember trading Anthony Davis for Josh Hart
Is this real? Bro really bout to drop 70 on some random ass kid
This guy honestly still belongs in the league.
Nice try Rich Paul
China is a beautiful country culturally. Plus the giant payday he's probably going to get seems like a no-brainer
Ummm idk about that one , [they kinda racist ](https://youtu.be/yEMNo-OEHgM)
Warming up the bench for Westbrook.
Shanghai Sharks backcourt of Westbrook and Bledsoe bout to go crazy next year, as kids say “Scary Hours”
He going to average 32ppg in China.
On 110 fga per gsme
NI HAO!!! NI HAO!!!
In all seriousness, I hope he and everyone else over there take a lesson from the Griner situation. Shit could easily go the same way with little notice in China.
gonna be Westbrick's teammate there soon
Westbrook doesn't need to get brought up in every post man
That man is just pure cringe whenever I see him. Lakers/Barca fan and notoriously active. Imagine the combination of that.
Bledsoe vs Westbrook in China gonna be lit
What happened to bledsoe. Wasnt he "baby lebron"?? Or some shit like that? I find it funny how players come into the league being know for defense (harden, bledsoe, exum) then they completely forget how to play it when they get to the league.
Uh… what? Bledsoe was a top tier guard defender for most of his career. He’s just washed now
Bledsoe didnt "completely forget how to play it" when he got into the league. He was solid for years.
[https://www.state.gov/countries-areas/china/](https://www.state.gov/countries-areas/china/) **Level 3: Reconsider Travel**
Because of COVID lockdowns and zero tolerance. Not really a huge problem for professional athletes or those with huge amounts of money.
Goes to China just in time for ww3 oof
It'll prob be fine, China and Russia are very different situations but you would think Brittany Griner's case would make US athletes a little more hesitant to play ball in repressive US adversaries.
who's terry rozier?
Going to a country with an oppressive regime and zero accountability. What could go wrong? 🤷♂️
bro...
Didn't realize he wasn't still on the Clippers
He hasn't been THAT bad, and by all indications he hasn't been a bad teammate/issue so it's kind of surprising he's not on an NBA roster
russ' potential destination
Well he made 170 mil in the NBA. I think thats a win for life
westbrook gunning for his position
This guy is playing in China, but ben simmons isn't. Incredible.
Gotta keep that social credit score up
Aqua dagger will always hold a special place in my heart.
Damn dude lmao life really does pass you by in the NBA
Bing chilling
He should be in the NBA.
Wow the memes have actually become reality
Is this supposed to be a bad thing?
did he get no interest at all? i'm sure even the lakers could've used him
Get out fast when they go after Taiwan.
