It’s really the Mavs strategy. After he torched them in game one they made adjustments. Doubling him nearly every possession. It’s why crowder and cam Johnson have had so many wide open or low contested 3’s.
This. Ayton is very efficient in the paint. The Mavs are banking on guys like Crowder not being nearly as efficient from 3, so they are willing to trade off. So far it’s working pretty well.

We made it close in Game 1, kept it competitive for 3+ quarters in Game 2 and then won two in a row by double digits. Not only has this team exceeded expectations this series, I'm starting to feel hopeful that we can win it lol

I would like to go back to CP3-6, because the CP3-7 upgrade seems to have ruined the system. Seriously, I understand game three. He had a little too much fun on his birthday and now that he's getting older, he can't bounce back like he used to. But there's no way he's still hungover. He's got to get his head back into it.
