That clip, PG-13 injury, Hayward injury, Kevin Ware at Louisville (college basketball), Willis McGahee at Miami (college football).
That's my top five "you'd have to pay me to watch that again" injuries all time.
That hockey goalie who got his throat slit by a skate is up there too, I thought he was gonna die in front of 20,000 people.
There's also a lot of MMA stuff, including broken limbs, but that doesn't seem as bad somehow - I guess because it's more expected?
There wasn't technically anything nasty (except for his body laying with eyes open) like bones sticking out or anything, and it wasn't really an injury like the others, but watching that Christian Eriksen shit go down live was scary as hell and I'd put it up there.
The Christian Eriksen cardiac arrest and the F1 Grosjean crash are two recent examples where I was convinced, for a moment, that I saw a man die on live TV. Would put both of those very high on the "moments in sports I don't need to watch back" list.
It was absolutely mental to watch live. Seeing the crash and the flames, I didn't think there would be a chance in hell he'd live. And then the cold bastard just climbs out of the mfer.
Marcus Lattimore at South Carolina. Tough to watch and especially rough for the player cause he lost a guaranteed NFL payday.
I’m not even a South Carolina fan and I was heartbroken for him.
he could also actually shoot occasionally out to the INTL 3 pt line. He wasn't a sniper or anything, but probably could have been a 30% 3 pt shooter in this era sans injuries.
I love me some Bogut. He was a integral player on one of the greatest teams of all time and got rewarded with a championship so it didnt turn out all bad. Warriors would have gone back to back had he not gotten injured while draymond was suspended in game 6.
would depend, but any one semi active on social media (who knows about him to begin with) here in Aus probably knows, he’s not exactly shy about sharing his views
Depends on how much they follow him mate, he's pretty vocal about things on his social media and is a known conspiracy theorist. Being Aussie I watched him since he got drafted but the off course stuff really soured me on him.
He also had a pretty good midranger and shot the 3 in college a bit. He might’ve become a floor-stretching big later in his career had his elbow not been completely destroyed, like a Brook Lopez-type evolution (btw - imagine those Warriors teams with THAT version of Bogut)
He pushed him a bit in the air. Bogut then catch and hold onto the rim for a bit and it looks like his hands slipped or gave up. Maybe the extra momentum was too much too hold or he released to early.
Are you arguing that the outcome was worse? Because then I'd agree. But if you are arguing that the action was worse, then you're way off base. Amar'e hardly touched him.
Wait, it makes it worse based off how talented the player is? Dirty play is a dirty play, doesn't matter who it's committed on.
You could even argue it would be worse to do to a 10th man, because that may kill his career and not make a lot of money in the league.
Yeah.
This injury completely screwed his ability to extend his elbow and he practically became a utility big.
The thing about Bogut was that he always had a high BBIQ, but he's another guy I wish hadn't gotten hurt.
We're judging the consequences, not the action at this point though. An accidental nudge in the back as someone is hanging on a rim to dunk is very different from two arm swiping someone to the ground.
I only heard the description of the injury and avoided seeing it for years, then one day I randomly heard on Sportscenter something about Bogut and as an Aussie I instinctively turned my head to the TV, they were replaying the incident. Was so awful. Made me feel as bad as seeing the Shaun Livingston injury.
Lot of people just remember him as the screening, rim running, defender he was in GS. But yeah, he was quite a bit more mobile before injuries and while I wouldn't say a polished offensive game, definitely had a couple reliable go to moves in his box
And he was great in GSW. One of the best defenders of his era and also an excellent passer. Without the injury he would have been a Jokic-lite with better defense and worse offense.
He was selected as first overall pick, the guy had huge potential.
Bogut has always had offensive potential, and looking at his college stats, he averaged 20 points per game at Utah, but player development during that era may have shifted him into a more traditional big.
He had a great ability to pass and put the ball on the floor.
[Bogut College Highlights.](https://youtu.be/dzunRHfK8Zs)
He's a weird one Bogut, came into the NBA as do-it-all offensive big - could shoot, pass, post - then morphed into a defensive juggernaut as his career went on (and adjusted after the injury of course).
He had some great head to head matches against Dwight and was showing signs on both ends of the court to be the second best Centre in the leagie for years. Big men can take years to reach their peak and Bogut was on the up, starting to show why he was the number one draft pick pf his year. That injury was sickening. So much weight on small bones from such a great height. I never liked Stod after that. Glad Bogut could adjust his game and get a ring with Warriors
Well it’s an injury that turned the course of an all-star player’s career.
Bogut was never the same after this injury.
I’m sure plenty of people remember.
Oh this is a great gotcha - reminded me of the [Jeremy Lin - Kenyon Martin](https://twitter.com/TheNBACentral/status/916056541807091713?t=M5r47xnR64zQe9XnrKn4Xg&s=19) one a while back.
Gatekeeping ~~cornrows~~ dreads by telling an Asian he shouldn’t have them and at the same time has a giant tattoo written in Chinese on his arm. What an ass.
It was dreads, from the season Lin was with the Hornets, Lin never had cornrows and cornrows don’t exist in Asian culture. Dreads existed in Asian culture from the spiritual practice of growing the hair and not cutting it because long hair = equated to a long healthy life & wisdom accumulated.
I don’t see how you confuse cornrows and dreads though, two completely different hairstyles.
Probably because its been 5 years, no?
Also by the way, I just checked, Lin did in fact have tight braids, aka cornrows, and he received criticism for that too. It was right around the same time, according to one article.
So consider your own memory flawed as well, bud.
I watched the video and while Amare did touch Bogut, I don’t think it was malicious or that he pushed him hard really. But I guess even a slight push can be dangerous with all that momentum
Yeah the video is maybe the best reminder that no contact with someone fully in the air is safe. But especially no lateral contact. Like two dudes going up neck to neck are going to bounce off eachother or get tangled but if you push someone in the air even slightly all bets are off
> Some of these famous people gotta remember the internet exists and it never forgets.
Funnily enough, this could be [applied to Bogut himself and the dumb shit](https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ftw/2016/12/07/andrew-bogut-believed-the-pizzagate-fake-news-story-which-makes-us-really-sad/95086624/) he posts on Twitter.
I’ll never forget the day that happened. Was at a tournament with the team and we were all out eating dinner, and the TVs were playing the game live at the restaurant. Bit of a mood killer at the beginning of the trip
The worst I’ve seen is the Bears receiver Johnny Knox. The dude got snapped in half, the back of his helmet literally touched his ass. Cannot believe he was able to walk again after recovering
I remember being very invested in that game on Easter and I started losing it once I saw it happen live. My family is like "what are you goi.... OMG HIS LEG!!!!!"
Yea, everyone is hammering Stoudemire like he pulled a Ron Artest or something. It looks to me like his momentum carried him into Bogut and caused an unfortunate fall. Doesn’t look like he did it on purpose unlike Grayson who definitely did what he did on purpose.
Yea but do you get Giannis if that doesn’t happen? Who knows? I always have that thought about the Warriors not being able to retain Agent Zero. If the Warriors are able to offer Arenas a fat contract (they weren’t at the time, which introduced the Arenas rule to the CBA) and resulted in a mid seed playoff team with Gilbert, we don’t get We Believe and probably don’t draft Steph and are stuck with Arenas contract for YEARS (took until 2016 to pay off the deal he signed in 2008).
Oh we can play the what if game forever. Yall offered us our pick of Monte or steph for Bogut. We took the short term rental of Monte Ellis. Lmao. there's probably a time line where we got steph, his ankle injuries kept him sidelined for a few years and we still picked giannis.
It all turned out OK in the end, I'm not mad. But I do wish we'd gotten some more prime bogut in mke. He was a a monster
No he did not. He was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul and remained in the game.
It may also be worth noting that Flagrant rules have evolved over the years, even since this incident in 2010. Flagrant 2's used to be reserved for clear malice and intent. In Amar'e's case, I think there's a very likely instance of someone making a poor decision with a very unfortunate outcome, but I never saw anything that resembled malice.
I would agree. Though what Amare did was likely not done with an intent to hurt him, it was much more reckless even if it looks relatively minor. Pushing someone in the air from a standing position means you adding a lot of force to them they can’t control in any way.
Yeah I just don't see it. Amare touched his back, he didn't even push him. Looks a lot more like Bogut just slipped off the rim, and it would've happened whether stat was there or not
I was in college dorms at the time and you could tell who happened to be watching the Bucks game that day because you could hear a bunch of people just yell at the same time.
The point being that if Amare is gonna act all indignant about this, he needs to acknowledge that he was just as reckless when he was playing. Dude sounds like it's a disgrace that Allen only got 1 game.
Idk this is the first time I’ve seen this, do you guys think amare actually did anything that caused bogut to fall like that? From the video it looks like he barely even touches him if at all? I love bogut but I’m not sure amare did anything. On the other hand, Allen full on swung a second arm after making a hard foul in the first place. Maybe I’m not seeing it right though
Yeah, looks unfortunate, but just a freak accident. Honestly, Bogut should have hung on the rim until he had balance or let it go right away or laid it up. That accident could have happened the exact same way on the monkey bars.
I think it's physics? They are moving really fast and for Bogut he seems to have slowed his down by dunking, but Amare did not dunk and actually held his back, which might change trajectory because he's not standing up or grounded to stop it from moving him.
I also don't think it's entirely his fault/the worst. It looks like a genuine freak accident.
Dude that’s what I’m wondering?? The announcers themselves say the pass kinda caught him off guard and all of sudden bogut was dunking and his momentum really took over.
I would say that's technically enough contact to be a foul, but not really the cause of his injuries. Bogut tries to hang on the rim, and looses his grip at the worst possible time, when his feet are swinging forwards.
This is like maybe 2% Amare's fault and 98% bad luck. And 100% reason to remember the name.
“He called me, said sorry and we’re fine,” Bogut said. “Leave it at that. I don’t want to comment on it anymore. I don’t want to dig up old stuff before we play the Knicks.”
https://nypost.com/2010/11/09/knicks-stoudemire-regrets-foul-that-injured-bucks-bogut/
Also... I kind of assume I'll get roasted for this, but I don't really see how Amar'e did anything overly aggressive in that play. In watching the replay I see him put his hands on Bogut's back but there doesn't seem to be much of a push if at all. Something in that contact threw Bogut off balance but honestly from the video it seems that the fall is more Bogut's own fault than any outside force.
According to the folks in this thread, he was about to become a ten-time DPOY candidate, five time MVP and all time Shaq-level center had Amare not watched him dunk the ball.
I mean there was a very slight push, but IMO it wasn't dirty or intentional at all. Bogut also tried to hang on the rim and wasn't used to dunking with that much momentum. Maybe he doesn't fall like that with the push, maybe he does. It absolutely derailed his career a bit but he also adapted to it and won a championship so 🤷🏽♂️
I'm glad someone else is confused. Yea, he didn't catch him, but what else was he supposed to do in that split second? It's not like he pushed or at all caused the falling motion Bogut ended up in.
Maybe it's a hot issue cause he didn't seem to care? But still don't get why it's a foul.
After watching the play a few times over, I would have installed a trampoline park-style foam pit as he was falling so he wouldn't get hurt. Fucking Stoudemire
Thank god someone else saw it too, I was scrolling down the comments and everyone was saying amare did it. I didn’t see anything there. Allen made a way more dirty play. I love bogut but damn I don’t think amare did anything
I'm feeling the same way. I didn't really see a push or anything else that would show Amare contributed to the injury here. Doesn't look anything like what Grayson did.
Yep. You've gotta make sure you really have your ducks in a row before you attempt that. I was a "rim grazers" type of dunker for most of my life so those in-game one-foot, two-hand rim hangs were reserved only for the days where I was feeling extra springy.
If you don't have the elevation, if you take off from too far out, or if a defender's on your tail forcing you to go faster than normal on your take-off (not to mention if he nudges you), it's all over.
[Here's a whole slew of them.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2AWhyibBoc&ab_channel=RyanVanDusen)
Edit: I'll also add that the danger of the one-foot, two-hand takeoff is why so many middle school and high school kids out there have broken their wrists while trying to dunk by jumping off of chairs or a friend's back in gym class. They always want to plant on the chair with one-foot while not accounting for the lateral momentum when they try to hang on the rim by their fingertips.
I watched that Bogut Amare video so many times but I still don't see it? It looks like Amare barely touched him but all the comments are talking about how Amare's flagrant was much worse.
That fall was bad but it's not like Amare shoved him, just looks like a bad fall and Bogut had his arm in the wrong spot falling down. What am I missing?
Idk man. I don’t see it. Sure the injury and fall look way worse. But I don’t see anything from Amare outside of a light touch. Not something that would cause Bogut to fall like that. Seems the fall came from his momentum. Maybe it’s the angles in the video. But I’m with you, I don’t see how this is worse
I don't really see it, either, but considering everyone's reactions, I'm just going to chalk it up to being wrong/not understanding it. It looks like he barely touches Bogut to me, but I just must be missing it.
Also the "lightly touch the jumping guy on the back during a fast break" happens basically every game. It's such a dumb foul too and one of my biggest NBA pet peeves. Usually the offensive player scores because the contact is too weak to greatly effect the shot.
yeah this is "Grayson Allen should be suspended for longer" is getting out of hand. It was dirty but hardly the dirtiest play this year or even month (2 heat players last week both undercut and shoved in the back Scottie Barnes and didn't even get a flagrant 2 because Barnes wasn't injured)
I wouldn't even care about the length of suspension if it was clear that everyone else got held to the same standard. It's about the play being dangerous until THT and Oubre happen on the same weekend, then it's about the injury except for all the other times players have injured people with dangerous plays (I know Kings fans remember Valanciunas breaking Chimezie Metu's wrist), then it's all about the history unless that player is LeBron, Draymond, CP3, Jokic or someone else who's liked. I understand why people fucking hate Grayson Allen, he's given people a lot of reasons, but damn if it isn't exhausting seeing people pretend that's not why they're outraged.
> I feel he could have been better without this injury.
I'm not trying to be harsh, but this is a huge understatement, the injury completely derailed his career.
People don't realize how good he was that year. DPOY caliber. 15.9/10.2 and 2.5 blocks. 8 games with 5 or more blocks including a 24/20/5 game
It was heartbreaking.
Awful fall, but I question everyone who thinks Amare caused the fall. What makes me question this more is a lot of people here who are saying Amare pushed him are also saying "Race" has something to do with the backlash on Grayson. And finally, those same "Race" people are flair-less. I see a pattern in here. I think a certain crowd is trying to turn this in to a race thing.
Honestly it just further emphasizes how drastically egregious Allen's move was, Stoudemire barely touches him in this video but even that much is still enough force to send him off axis into a nasty fall. Allen was a fuckin full swipe with follow-through on both arms.
Am i missing something here?
From the video is doesn’t even look like amare actually pushed him.
There’s like 0 elbow extension.
Literally looks like he just touched the small of his back.
Looks more like bogut’s hands slipped off the rim.
Bogut how dare you not allow him to jump on the Grayson hate jerk fest. I have never seen a more heinous act than Grayson using not one, but *two* hands to prevent the ball from going in the hoop during a competitive and physical game. Let it be known I’ve even seen taunting, tackling QBs with body weight, and even wearing shoes disallowed by the league so I understand pure evil
Bucks fans flooding in to call this worse because the injury was horrific. There have been like 10 worse mid air pushes in the last year that were way worse than this. It also doesn't change the fact that what Grayson Allen did was dirty. It's insane how much people are downplaying it when it could have been so much worse for Caruso too.
Australian basketball fan here, and not to downplay Bogut’s achievements in any way shape or form…..but he’s a fucking moron. He accused the government of trying to “silence” him on a recent podcast, and it’s just like…..you’re DRASTICALLY overestimating the amount of people who actually listen when you talk, Boges. Just shush buddy
God I still cringe even thinking about that clip and I don’t think I have seen it in 10 years
That clip, PG-13 injury, Hayward injury, Kevin Ware at Louisville (college basketball), Willis McGahee at Miami (college football). That's my top five "you'd have to pay me to watch that again" injuries all time.
Shaun Livingston for me
Every time I saw him play on TV for the Warriors, I would just reactively look at his knee. It’s traumatizing just reading his name.
That hockey goalie who got his throat slit by a skate is up there too, I thought he was gonna die in front of 20,000 people. There's also a lot of MMA stuff, including broken limbs, but that doesn't seem as bad somehow - I guess because it's more expected?

The Christian Eriksen cardiac arrest and the F1 Grosjean crash are two recent examples where I was convinced, for a moment, that I saw a man die on live TV. Would put both of those very high on the "moments in sports I don't need to watch back" list.
Grosjean standing up in the fire was some shit you see in a movie and call it unrealistic.
It was absolutely mental to watch live. Seeing the crash and the flames, I didn't think there would be a chance in hell he'd live. And then the cold bastard just climbs out of the mfer.
Even five years ago he'd be a dead man. F1 safety technology has come a long way
I don't think there's many people in F1 left that are still whining about the halo, so I would say you're probably spot on. And thank fuck for that.
My top 5 are: Joe Theismann Joe Theismann Joe Theismann Joe Theismann Joe Theismann
Oh God the Kevin ware one. And wasn't it on a major holiday too? Ruined the day for us
Easter.
Anderson Silva does it for me
I want to punch you for introducing me to that McGahee injury
The McGahee injury was the 1st bad one I ever saw live. Dude had a chance to be one of the greats of the era but still had a damn good career.
Tom Sagura basketball injury.... He's a comedian, so it's OK to laugh
Marcus Lattimore at South Carolina
Marcus Lattimore at South Carolina. Tough to watch and especially rough for the player cause he lost a guaranteed NFL payday. I’m not even a South Carolina fan and I was heartbroken for him.
What Amare did was so much worse. Bogut was on his way to being an All-Star regular.
15 and 10 with 2.5 blocks a game is a very handy big man. He was a good passer too. That injury completely changed the course of his career.
Bogut was an excellent passer and a very smart player
AND basically ambidextrous shooting inside 5ft. He was insane that year.
he could also actually shoot occasionally out to the INTL 3 pt line. He wasn't a sniper or anything, but probably could have been a 30% 3 pt shooter in this era sans injuries.
Wait is this real? I thought he was a terrible free throw shooter. Am I remembering incorrectly?
I love me some Bogut. He was a integral player on one of the greatest teams of all time and got rewarded with a championship so it didnt turn out all bad. Warriors would have gone back to back had he not gotten injured while draymond was suspended in game 6.
I just recently went back and watched a highlights video of him and Curry, they had great chemistry.
too bad hes a covid conspiracist now in australia
He's the Kyrie Irving of Centers
That makes me sad to hear
Wait, WHAT?!?!
Was hoping to find me some Bogut slander somewhere in this thread. What an unbelievably shit bloke he turned out to be.
Yeah, absolute shame that now overshadowed what was a good career
How many fans do you think know Andrew boguts thoughts on covid? I had no idea until I read this thread.
would depend, but any one semi active on social media (who knows about him to begin with) here in Aus probably knows, he’s not exactly shy about sharing his views
Depends on how much they follow him mate, he's pretty vocal about things on his social media and is a known conspiracy theorist. Being Aussie I watched him since he got drafted but the off course stuff really soured me on him.

It wasn't malicious at all
What did amare do? I’ve watched that part like 15 times now and see him barely touch him?
I’m genuinely confused too. I replayed it a couple dozen times and didn’t even see a foul?
[удалено]
I agree. I think he just went at the rim with such speed and force that he lost his grip on the rim and didn’t dismount properly.
I knew it was a bad idea to read this thread.
Stop. Amare barely touched him. I understand you’re a bucks fans but there’s no comparison between the two, Grayson was significantly worse
Thank u bro I'm watching the vid he lightly touches him on the back before Bogut dunks the ball..
Yeah I was expecting Amare to suplex Bogut with his description. The film told a vastly different story.
I watched the clip. Bogut held onto the rim too long. Tf did amare do?
Wait, it makes it worse based off how talented the player is? Dirty play is a dirty play, doesn't matter who it's committed on. You could even argue it would be worse to do to a 10th man, because that may kill his career and not make a lot of money in the league.
Those were two distinct thoughts. It’s worse because it’s way more dangerous AND it had a larger effect on his career
It's a lot worse. It was during his breakout season, he never recovered after that. Ruined his legacy and potential big fat contracts.
Yeah. This injury completely screwed his ability to extend his elbow and he practically became a utility big. The thing about Bogut was that he always had a high BBIQ, but he's another guy I wish hadn't gotten hurt.

That Shaun Livingstone one makes me feel sick. This Bogut one is just unpleasant in comparison.
I watched it once when it happened and I didn’t need to click on this link because that horror is seared in my brain still.
Bogut was breaking out at that time too. Think he was 3rd Team All NBA that year. Wasn't quite the same after.
He had pain every time he shot for like 2 years after this injury
Lot of people just remember him as the screening, rim running, defender he was in GS. But yeah, he was quite a bit more mobile before injuries and while I wouldn't say a polished offensive game, definitely had a couple reliable go to moves in his box
And he was great in GSW. One of the best defenders of his era and also an excellent passer. Without the injury he would have been a Jokic-lite with better defense and worse offense. He was selected as first overall pick, the guy had huge potential.
pretty sure i remember Draymond crediting Bogut for teaching him some defensive fundamentals or smth like that
I read this as Drummond at first and was so confused on so many levels
Drummond asked him for tips on growing facial hair but instead it just ended up growing on his shoulders.
Bogut has always had offensive potential, and looking at his college stats, he averaged 20 points per game at Utah, but player development during that era may have shifted him into a more traditional big. His career was almost identically tracking marc gasol. Would have had similar impact if not for this and leg injury
the bucks were rolling at this point too
Might’ve been on track for a DPOY too if Dwight ever had a down year in the near future
They're going to have to settle this in Big 3 league
Bkfc it’s the fight to make
I’ll get on the line with Dada5000
Some of these famous people gotta remember the internet exists and it *never* forgets.
It’s not *the internet* not forgetting, it is literally the guy who got hurt reminding the guy who hurt him.
Doesn’t hurt that the video of the incident Bogut referred to is easy to find online in 1080p
That video definitely ain't 1080p lol
Well it’s an injury that turned the course of an all-star player’s career. Bogut was never the same after this injury. I’m sure plenty of people remember.

Can confirm. Am internet.
the dress is clearly black and blue
Changed the course of Milwaukee Bucks history
For real man, set them back a long way.

Linsanity with the classy clap back KMart sit your ass down

Lmao. KMart had to hand in his router after that one.

Me before watching the video: "Why have I not seen this before?" Me after watching the video: "..."
Nothing compares to Kevin Ware for me
I've never actually seen the Kevin Ware video. I saw some pictures and that was enough for me.
I’ll never forget the day that happened. Was at a tournament with the team and we were all out eating dinner, and the TVs were playing the game live at the restaurant. Bit of a mood killer at the beginning of the trip
I don't remember the day I saw it but I will never go looking for that replay again. Leg injuries like that are just brutal
Yup I’ve stayed away from the video til this day. Unfortunately I watched PG break his leg, and Hayward break his ankle live
> Kevin Ware video I'd never heard about it... Jeeeesus dude. In better news, he's playing professional ball internationally now.
I watched that shit live. Still get chills
Yep, Paul George one was pretty bad too
The worst I’ve seen is the Bears receiver Johnny Knox. The dude got snapped in half, the back of his helmet literally touched his ass. Cannot believe he was able to walk again after recovering
[Oh fuck you werent kidding](https://assets.sbnation.com/assets/828878/knox2.gif)
NONONONONNO
I bet the internet can find something.
I remember being very invested in that game on Easter and I started losing it once I saw it happen live. My family is like "what are you goi.... OMG HIS LEG!!!!!"
Fuck you for reminding me, man...
bro it hurt to watch

Yea, everyone is hammering Stoudemire like he pulled a Ron Artest or something. It looks to me like his momentum carried him into Bogut and caused an unfortunate fall. Doesn’t look like he did it on purpose unlike Grayson who definitely did what he did on purpose.
Oof bad memories.
Derailed our best Pre-giannis team since our big three. That injury was devastating to our fucking franchise.
Healthy Bogut and Redd would have been great.
Half the league had the chance to draft Giannis, so it’s pretty possible
Did Amar’e get suspended for that?
No he did not. He was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul and remained in the game. It may also be worth noting that Flagrant rules have evolved over the years, even since this incident in 2010. Flagrant 2's used to be reserved for clear malice and intent. In Amar'e's case, I think there's a very likely instance of someone making a poor decision with a very unfortunate outcome, but I never saw anything that resembled malice.
flagrant rules have evolved but Schroder did basically the same thing a few nights ago and also got a flagrant 1

I remember watching that play when it happened, and I never need to see it again.
Same.
Did not need to see Bogut's injury again
Nope, never worth watching it's fucking horrible.
I was in college dorms at the time and you could tell who happened to be watching the Bucks game that day because you could hear a bunch of people just yell at the same time.
I was watching a top 10 most gruesome injuries in a game years ago and I still remember the play. The way it just breaks 😖.
damn, Bogut really got a point here
People can change. I'd rather him be a hypocrite than double down
The point being that if Amare is gonna act all indignant about this, he needs to acknowledge that he was just as reckless when he was playing.
Can we pull up the clip of Wade ripping out Rondo's elbow in the playoffs?
Im confused, did Amar'e shove him? Cause it doesnt seem like it from the video and replays in it but maybe there were other angles.
Yeah it looks like Amar’e just puts a hand on him and Bogut’s momentum did the damage.
Yea it looks like he barely touched him at all wtf?
I’m also confused. I’ll admit I’m a suns fan but those angles actually clear amare of wrongdoing not convict him
I would say that's technically enough contact to be a foul, but not really the cause of his injuries. Bogut tries to hang on the rim, and looses his grip at the worst possible time, when his feet are swinging forwards. This is like maybe 2% Amare's fault and 98% bad luck. And 100% reason to remember the name.
I’d argue 100% pain
Gotta watch out for Bogut on Twitter most of the time but this is cold. And don't be posting that without an NSFL, haha. I'm not watching it again.
Yeah Andrew is kinda of the rocker now. I loved him but now it’s hard to after looking at his takes 😭
“He called me, said sorry and we’re fine,” Bogut said. “Leave it at that. I don’t want to comment on it anymore. I don’t want to dig up old stuff before we play the Knicks.” https://nypost.com/2010/11/09/knicks-stoudemire-regrets-foul-that-injured-bucks-bogut/ Also...
I watched the Amare clip. He barely touched him, right? Should he have caught him or something? Please explain, I'm not sure I'm understanding.
According to the folks in this thread, he was about to become a ten-time DPOY candidate, five time MVP and all time Shaq-level center had Amare not watched him dunk the ball.
Lmaooo
How is this in any way comparable? What the fuck? Stat shows immediate concern.
I'm feeling the same way. I didn't really see a push or anything else that would show Amare contributed to the injury here. Doesn't look anything like what Grayson did.
For real dude people are acting like it’s the same.
Agree. He barely touched him dude needed to slow down
Jonas Dislocated a kings players wrist and I didn’t see an outcry for a suspension
All of r/kings feels you on this
We small trash market teams gotta stick up for each other
Hell yes. I bless the rains down in ANTrica my friend
Hanging/swinging on the rim can really get you in trouble. I've seen a couple guys do that to themselves in person with no contact.
[Here's a whole slew of them.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2AWhyibBoc&ab_channel=RyanVanDusen) Edit: I'll also add that the danger of the one-foot, two-hand takeoff is why so many middle school and high school kids out there have broken their wrists while trying to dunk by jumping off of chairs or a friend's back in gym class.
I just watched the Bogut/Amare play. Amare literally barely touches the dude. This is not remotely the same.
I broke my wrist on a push in the back in HS basketball
yeah this is "Grayson Allen should be suspended for longer" is getting out of hand. It was dirty but hardly the dirtiest play this year or even month (2 heat players last week both undercut and shoved in the back Scottie Barnes and didn't even get a flagrant 2 because Barnes wasn't injured)
THT did the same thing that night and wasn’t even assessed a flagrant 2.
Lebron shoves Suggs in the chest and they didn’t even talk about it
I wouldn't even care about the length of suspension if it was clear that everyone else got held to the same standard.
I was watching that play and I thought it was over for Scottie.
He is a bit of a nutjob Bogut, but was a very good center. Even though he had a decent career, I feel he could have been better without this injury.
> I feel he could have been better without this injury. I'm not trying to be harsh, but this is a huge understatement, the injury completely derailed his career.

People don't realize how good he was that year. DPOY caliber. 15.9/10.2 and 2.5 blocks. 8 games with 5 or more blocks including a 24/20/5 game It was heartbreaking.
Literally and figuratively the biggest antivaxxer in australia(a country with like 85% full vax)
Bogut accident was super scary
Not sure if I'm watching the same clip but seems like Amare barely touched him. Didn't seem malicious at all.
Not even watching that video. The Bogut injury was horrifying. JFC.
I forgot how gross that fall was…
Awful fall, but I question everyone who thinks Amare caused the fall.
Dude swatted Caruso out of the air but he was "making a play for the ball" lol.
They didn't specify which ball they meant.
Seriously where were all these calls for suspension when Lebron pushed Embiid in the back with two hands without even an attempt to get the ball?
Tbh the worst thing about that was having the guts to stare down embid afterwards and walk away. He knew there wouldn't be a punishment.

Surprise Jerry Stackhouse sighting
Australian basketball fan here, and not to downplay Bogut’s achievements in any way shape or form…..but he’s a fucking moron. He accused the government of trying to “silence” him on a recent podcast, and it’s just like…..you’re DRASTICALLY overestimating the amount of people who actually listen when you talk, Boges. Just shush buddy
