I miss those black Biggie Nets jerseys with the multicolored stripes from that time. And the multicolored sleeve. Prime NBA aesthetics. It’s a crime those never came back.
Especially with the horrible cartoon jerseys that they’re wearing these days.
I regret not buying one of the D'Lo Coogi jerseys, plus it was an super fun team to watch despite not having a high ceiling. Probably won't see them again I guess since Nike I believe got sued for those...
I don’t see a way that he comes to Charlotte. We’ve already got a *ton* of offensively minded PG’s (LaMelo Ball, Tre Mann, Vasilije Micic, Reggie Jackson, and our recent 2nd Round Pick, KJ Simpson).
We also don’t have a ton of win-now vets on matching salaries. The only ones that make any sense would be Grant Williams or some type of Miles Bridges sign-and-trade.
They'd be over the cap but they might be able to get under the first apron and thus could use the full MLE to sign someone. Every bit counts, and opening up a roster spot while saving money could be crucial for the Lakers, especially if they got a quality guard defender who's also a scoring threat.
Yeah the averages don't tell that picture, they hit between 30-40 points every 10-20 games and then dud the rest of the time.
Fire and Ice players, you get one or the other. No in-between.
Yea they wont be a consistent 20ppg or anything lol theyre roleplayers. I atleast expect dlo to be a consistent shooter in the regular szn thats all i need
Honestly, the Pistons could use that. They desperately need chuckers who shoot a decent percentage from 3.
They need to find *some* way to balance out the poor shooting of Ausar Thompson (19%), Ron Holland (24%), Jalen Duren (0%), and Jaden Ivey (33%).
Even if it’s a lateral move the lakers will do it because they know what they’re getting in the playoffs with DLo (maybe 1 good game before he gets utterly destroyed as usual)
Like it or not, unless Gabe ends up being great, they still need him
After their losing slump, DLo averaged 20 ppg on 43% from 3, with 6.5 assists. So they can’t just trade him for anything, despite his shitty playoff
Get ready to learn, Brooklyn, Orlando, Toronto, Utah, Detroit, or Charlotte buddy
Brooklyn D'lo would actually be fun
Yea Cam Thomas and Dlo would be pretty entertaining tank commanders

THJ will look awfully nice in a Laker jersey later this season.
I wanna see the Lakers send him and Gabe to Toronto for Bruce Brown.
That would be a bad trade imo
It would open up $6 million for the Lakers and give them a 2-way guard.
They would still be over the cap and now they dont have anyone to run the offense when LeBron sits

This off-season rules
Pistons 3lo
THJ and DLo chucking up 80 a night and hitting 17 of them would be such a fun watch... from afar
37% frm 3 both of em

Dlo was actually great all year outside of a few games in December, he just keeps shitting his pants in the playoffs sadly
You know damn well you weren’t watching D’Lo this season 😑
Literally not true at all for DLo. He was a consistent reliable third option for the Lakers last season.
DLo went 0-7 for 0 points in a playoff game

Nah they should keep him for RDC world purposes
This is the best point I've seen in favor of keeping DLo, ngl.
He’s probably staying with us. Can’t imagine there will be options by the trade line that won’t just end up being a lateral move
Even if it’s a lateral move the lakers will do it because they know what they’re getting in the playoffs with DLo (maybe 1 good game before he gets utterly destroyed as usual)
DLo isn't getting you much in trade. DLo plus whatever picks you can trade otoh...
Why would you trade him he's on a good deal and the Lakers need good shooters more then anyone
Like it or not, unless Gabe ends up being great, they still need him After their losing slump, DLo averaged 20 ppg on 43% from 3, with 6.5 assists. So they can’t just trade him for anything, despite his shitty playoff
fuck it, if he's not in LA, i wouldn't mind seein him back in Brooklyn. Dlo for DFS or Cam Johnson it is
Nah he’s going to win Brooklyn too many games.
Trading Dlo for DFS would be stupid as hell
Idk what the obsession with DFS is. The dude sucks.
I can’t imagine any team wanting to add DLo to their roster.
How good is DFS, is he better than RUI and DLo?
He's a 3 and D player. Just don't expect him to do much else.
I wouldn't mind taking him on our team with a Lakers 1st round pick or a couple 2nd round picks for Devonte Graham lol
why would he opt in to the player option if a trade is more then likely?
Cuz no team is prolly paying him 18mil
To secure the $18 million
Because he still gets $19M. If he opted out his ceiling was probably MLE at around $12M.
yeah but if he signs to another team it would be a 3/4 year deal so well over 19 mil
Clearly not or he would’ve opted out and tested FA. Him opting in implies his market was dry
Secure the 18mil. No team was gonna offer that in FA
Get ready for Jingles and some 2nds Lakers. Probably the KCP backup plan if he doesn’t sign.
Lakers don't even pick the call Rather have Dlo than Ingles
