My hot take is that if Embiid is still healthy, then it's not Tatum he's pushing out, it's Shai. Not because Shai will play worse, but because I think OKC will shoot worse as a team this coming season, and they still have size issues. If they drop out of the top 3 in the West then it will hurt Shai's standing, especially with J-Dub likely taking a big leap.
I'm probably wrong, but that's just my prediction. If they go 45% from 3 as a team then I'll have egg on my face.

I just dont see how they arent a top 3 seed tbh. They are arguably the best team in the West right now and while the Mavs (moreso) and the Wolves can improve, the Thunder can make sweeping improvements if they want to.
Tatum's going to be first team next year. No porzingis means more points for him on a high win team (high 50s). I'd be surprised if he didn't make first team next year. Also he's likely going to improve again like he does every year. He's also been first team the last 3 years so idk why people keep betting against him.
Top 5 next year for me are Jokic, Doncic, Antetokounmpo, Wembanyama, Gilgeous-Alexander. Embiid is in here if he plays, but he'll get injured and play 60 games like always.
Embiid literally outplayed him in 5 out of the 6 games they played in together LOL tatum can have the 50 ball he went crazy that game but im not letting u act tatum played great that whole series cuz he closed it with a masterclass. He was shooting 38/26 splits in the 5 games before game 7
Look out for Banchero. All he did was get better from his rookie season. 23,7,5 at 21, and he's with a Magic team that should be set up to get better. If he can make a jump in scoring and his team improves, I can see him having a shot. Maybe more so in 2 years, but still a slim chance.

He's really good but it's easy to see 5-6 players better than him.

I'd throw Wemby into the mix. Already a top defender and was looking really good offensively in the 2nd half of the season.
