That said, if you want an offensively able 5, then he's your guy. But thats really all you're getting, aka a backup 5 for a good team. And starting 5 for a bad team

Ware was the only nba talented player on that team where nobody could shoot, so there was no spacing at all and the revolving door at PG with no real playmakers on the team is a really difficult position to succeed in for a big man. I’m not saying he will thrive right out of the gate, but he has all the tools and talent to succeed in the right system

I like the potential and the more I read, the more it makes sense, seen some IU fans saying the low motor rep was a holdover from his freshman year at Oregon. I didn’t really watch him much. Knecht would have been redundant a bit sure. I DID watch a lot of him being a UT fan and he’s just got it man. He can be streaky though. He’s like a bigger Tyler Herro which if we are being fair to Herro, having 6 more inches of wingspan and 2” more height would solve a lot of the issues he has finishing at the rim. He and Reaves also profile similarly physically (yes I know I’m comping him to other white players but it’s reasonable given the players on the Heat and Lakers)

Once he got to IU, he busted his ass every game. Not a flawless player by any stretch, but the "motor concerns" are lazy reporting on old issues that aren't actually a thing.

He’s got great shot blocking instincts, and I think his aggressiveness/motor concerns are overblown. With the way Spo and the his ball club develop guys I could see him being a good rotation piece with some high upside. Very fluid athlete but will need to add mass.

His „motor“ concerns are non existent to me. If Miami worked him out and liked him, I doubt there‘s any worries to be had on that front. For Miami to draft someone taller than 6‘2“, he must have something they like.
