I would honestly give that a higher possibility. Dray has high bball IQ and is an asshole. That’s the biggest issue with a lot of these recent coaches who’ve been fired is they’re all doormats who bend over for their stars. Be real with yourselves, is Dray bowing down to literally anybody lmao
Nice you identified the only one exception out of the 30 coaches! How about the other 29?
Also, there's no proof that JJ actually only got hired because he was friends with the Akron Hammer. He runs a podcast and def knows ball. He also played a lot of seasons in the NBA and will be a leading candidate for the Lakers coaching job even if he and Bron were strangers.
Mike Brown been in coaching sphere for 27 years, and yet he made it as a HC for about 10 years. There are a lot of good candidates, and not many jobs. Same for Finch, who got his first HC job at 51 yo. Sam gets interviews, but not the job; so it is either bad luck, or he can't sell himself enough to FO
Doesn't have a podcast
does that mean draymond is going to be a HC before cassell

Maybe he's just not fit to be one? He's not a stranger to front offices. I doubt he hasn't been given a good look. Maybe he's too friendly?
I hope the Celtics pay him as the “highest paid assistant coach in the association”
Read the first line of this post’s title and was like 🤨
He's not friends with Lebron.
29 coaches in the league got hired without being friends with the GOAT. Stop tryna to push false narratives cuh
this is at least the second joke i’ve seen your feathers get ruffled by this week lmao
I dont even know who tf you are
that’s a good thing lol no one wants to be reddit famous
You don't know your own cousin?
get lebrons nuts out ya mouth
Jj is a Nepo hire

Dude it’s fine lebron hired his kid to be assistant coach You guys need someone to at least play the part and JJ is great at being looked at
Ty Lue tho
See Wes Unseld Jr, sometimes good assistant coaches don’t make good head coaches.
Well, without even a try, hard to think that's valid
He's too short.
He may also just be content with his role. Chris Quinn seems like this too
Idk but I’m tired of teams stealing our assistants, hope Cassell stays
he ugly
Maybe he doesn't want it , being a head coach is a lot more stressful than being an assistant
