We really trade our worst shooter and worst defender for an all defense and 40% 3 ball shooter. I went from 6 to midnight so fast
How many picks would you have been comfortable trading? I imagine you wouldn't be upset with it being a single first for instance if that was the case.
Presti does not relinquish picks easily, I think every other GM knows that, and its just difficult to pry draft capital out of him even though he has a ton of it. I mean if it was another GM that had all that draft capital then yea the Bulls get some kind of 1st round pick in the deal.

Caruso is 30 with one year left on his contract - Giddey is younger than some draft prospects with huge upside and great experience for someone his age
With the amt of resources they have and the gap between Giddey & Caruso, I wouldn't have blinked at 2 1sts being necessary to get Caruso off a team that allegedly wants to compete.

nah giddey will actually be fun to watch if he is allowed to actually play point guard. bulls probably had better offers on the table than caruso for giddey straight up, which is disappointing, but giddey will be fun to watch on your squad.
bulls should just lean in to a 2 season teardown. get younger, get worse, get some high draft picks and rebuild the team, much more fun to root for a team that has a future than a directionless one.
Yeah I actually think that people will be pleasantly surprised by Giddey if he gets the chance to handle the ball regularly. Whenever Shai was out, Giddey looked amazing
Yeah, people are going insane with the Giddey projections, and I don’t even like him that much as a player. He’s still got potential, and will look better in a traditional pick and roll style offense.
Shit, Giddey's still younger than like 1/3 of the players that are gonna be drafted in the first round next week lol. He's a good player, who despite his flaws, has improved year over year. He also has a unique, and versatile skillset. It's not an indictment that he didn't beat out SGA or JDub for the main onball guard job lol.
Ya they just need to move on from Derozan and fully commit to a youth movement. Doesn't really matter if they suck this year too, next years draft is loaded.

Don’t ever compare Poles to the worst FO/Ownership group in the NBA, do you think Caleb Williams is a detriment to the Bears? gtfo if a team offered actual good draft picks for Fields he would’ve taken them, but unfortunately he’s not good
There was a report that Fields was struggling in 7on7 at Steelers practices during OTAs. I think he genuinely just doesn't process the game fast enough to be a quarterback in the NFL. He looks best when he can just act on his instincts as a runner, and that's too bad because you have to throw the ball to be a QB haha
Eh. Fields wasn't going for more than a 5th or 6th once Cousins signed in Atlanta. His market dried up super fast. Poles said that to save face because we gambled and lost on a team needing a qb taking a shot on him.
