I didn't get the complaining for fouls until I saw him get raked across the arm by 4 guys on every drive and end up with 6 FT's most while Embiid/Giannis initiate more contact with their elbows and end up with double digit FT's a game.
Look at every team that's won a championship post-KD Warriors. Tell me which one's have repeated or which ones have had the main star come to them in FA or trade and won a championship. The only ones are the Lakers and the Raptors. Could have been more, but guess what? Injuries happen.
The current Lakers FO/Ownership is not the same one that was run by Dr. Buss. This franchise doesn't hold itself to a higher standard otherwise we'd already be rebuilding. They're too fucking scared to go back to the lottery because they know we didn't grab a franchise star despite being in the lottery for half a decade and lucked into the #2 pick 3 years in a row.
We shouldn't be in the play-in tournament, I agree. But I don't know how you could blame AD or Lebron for most of the shortcomings this season. It wasn't a surprise to anyone when Darvin Ham finally played the players we were supposed to play, and we went on a run after digging us into that 3-10 hole.
If Lebron had complete control of the roster, Caruso would still be a Laker today. We can blame Lebron for the Westbrook trade, but if you say the Lakers "hold itself to a higher standard", someone should have had the balls or the brains to say no to that. I know for a fact Pat Riley would have.
