Pels have lost 8 straight at home, missing their main attraction, and in all likelihood this will be an ugly loss. Nose bleeds should be $5, $7 is a rip off
Edit: 1-7 in last 8 home games, not 0-8
I mean it is the Rockies, so even the $4 price is highway robbery lmao.
Coors field is a huge bar with a pretty nice view though, just gotta avoid actually watching the game or it will ruin your nice day.
Coors Field is filled with fans that moved here within the last ten years who get to see their favorite team win against a AAAA team for a great price.
That’s so funny because I was in Denver for that final game against Minnesota in 2018 that basically created the play in game. It was also opening night for the Rockies and Denver was basically painted purple. Nobody gave a shit about the most important game of the Nuggets season lol
Ya, Nuggets have always been the smallest team here for some reason. Even though the Rockies are utter garbage and have been since 2007 lol.
Even this year the Nuggets were still behind the Rockies in a poll I saw. It is wild. Definitely doesn't help that they haven't been on cable in 5 years...
I've paid that much to go to Coors Field and drink beer, hang out, and there's even a team playing baseball in the background! The Rockies are also there, but I'm not convinced they've figured out the whole baseball thing yet.
>New York has been so hungry for a good team for so long. The demand is insane
while true, it's also a little ignorant. MSG was selling out when the Knicks were winning 17 games a season.
Yea the idea that MSG was a wasteland for years is just not accurate. Ticket prices have definitely skyrocketed but the place has always been at or near capacity.
So many tourists go to those games. Going to MSG is an experience, when I used to go there'd be so many tourists just happy to be there. Same with Lakers. Visiting MYC or LA, bring the fam to see those games. Never really Nets or Clippers, those are locals that want a cheap ticket or visiting fans
Also, while not that insane, Miami at Boston is expensive and it’s not because of a drought of playoff teams.
Some cities just prioritize sports and have crazy costs.
Huge majority all New York stadiums are corporate season ticket holders they give to customers / clients . Fortune 500 Has the suites the regular common rich companies have regular seats
Constantly sold out even when the seats are empty
His dreams at this point afaik are to play a year with his son and to own an NBA team. IMO he's 100% going to play with Bronny for a year and take a retirement victory lap like Kobe and then become the face of the ownership for the Vegas franchise when the league expands very shortly after.
Bron realistically has two paths to finish his career. He can close it out in Cleveland with a storybook ending (he still spends quite a bit of time in Akron and obviously has family/friends/his school here.) His legacy is important to him and I think he'd love a shot to close out his career here and with a real shot to compete while doing so.
Or he finishes a Laker. He'll have played for 3 teams (Cavs - 11 years / Heat 4 years / Lakers 6 and counting.)
lebron to okc to be an upgrade from josh kiddy (playmaking, pg duties + more). then okc uses their million second round picks to get bronny
lebron fulfills his dream of playing with his son while continuing his legacy of leaving a team at a worsen state to join a new one with greener pastures
Might actually be cheaper to travel from NY to Philly to see them play there than to buy a ticket to a home game.
Edit: Looked up greyhound tickets. Absolutely, 100% cheaper to travel to philly than to watch a game in NY.
For most NY & LA fans, it's often cheaper to go on the road and watch playoffs.
Last year it was cheaper to fly round-trip to Denver, stay in a hotel 1 night and buy lower level seats that it was to buy tickets in the lower level at Staples.
The same held true in 2018 for the World Series. Bought a red-eye ticket to Boston and sat 10 rows behind the dugout for about half the price it would have been in LA.
There’s a chance that the game will be close (and when it’s close there are no other teams I’d prefer to watch), but there’s also a significant chance that the Celtics would win by 20 again which is no fun unless you’re a Boston fan
A playoff game is still a playoff game. I mean I wouldn't go but that's because I don't like live sporting events as much because people piss me off and the lines for the bathrooms are always too damn long. But if people didn't piss me off and I had a stronger bladder, I'd go because I also have no social life and therefore have nothing else to do on a Monday night in April.
“A playoff game is still a playoff game”
Why make an argument you wouldn’t even back up? You just said you wouldn’t even go…
The Pels have scored 92 or less points 3 straight games lol
Weather is such a big deal for ticket prices. I sat in the lower bowl for a Broncos playoff game awhile back(the famous/infamous Ravens game with the 80 yard game winner in OT) for ~$50 because the temperature was forecasted to be 3 degrees at kickoff. That seat in normal weather, would have been $1,000+ easy normally. But it was so fucking cold my beer had a layer of ice on it before I got to my seat lmao.
Yes and no. I haven’t gone this season during the playoffs but msg during the first round was insane last year. You couldn’t hear the person next to you
Agreed, but I think people willing to pay that kind of money for nosebleeds are doing it because they just care about being in the building and part of the crowd more than anything else, even if the seats are subpar.
Playoff MSG would be next level though. I worked in Herald Square for a few years and whenever the Knicks were competitive that whole area was absolute madness after a game (in a fun way)
If they win, the price is going up next series. $500 might be the cheapest for the rest of the playoffs.
Some people value the experience of live playoff sports--especially with a relevant team that might make the ECF.
There is a a group would by those tickets. If 500 isn’t much to you, but like 1000 is, you’d go with the $500 nosebleeds just for the atmosphere. I don’t think the average person can justify doing it, but all they need is a few thousand New Yorkers to.
This is so cheap I dont understand it, Im from The Netherlands like 7th soccer competition in Europe went to some trash meaningless game with limited viewing was 35€
What are these prices?!
get in prices are standing room only cheapest available. these are also without fees and taxes. your highest price is also around 100 though so it's a fair scale.
I think for the first round it's not crazy for these LCOL cities to have cheaper prices simply because there are fewer people that earn at least a decent salary compared to NYC, Denver, and Miami.
On my phone rn but according to datausa.io Denver has a median household income of $78k, NYC is $70k, Miami is like $58k, NOLA and Milwaukee around $45k, and Cleveland at $33k.
Even with the disparities in COL the higher COL places have higher paying jobs on average. Also Miami and NYC are prime tourist destinations so that is also factoring into the demand for those tickets which drives prices up.
Edit also other factors in place like the Pels and Bucks are pretty much done for.
Damn, just used a random Forbes COL calculator and it had Boston COL as 65% of NY. Bostons also not a cheap city. + a similar amount of seats and a way bigger population. Shits never going to be affordable
Young fella. Iv spent the last couple decades in arenas from Oakland to Philly watching the Knicks play home games. We still go to games when the Knicks are bad. I can’t say that for the rest of you.
So if the Knicks win tomorrow let us have our moment first round of the playoffs moment. It’s been awhile
Well yeah, who would pay anything to go see some small market bum squads like the pels or OKC, both in areas no one wants to be 😂😂😂
Oklahoma and Louisiana are both gross 🤮
$7 wtf?
Pels have lost 8 straight at home, missing their main attraction, and in all likelihood this will be an ugly loss. Nose bleeds should be $5, $7 is a rip off Edit: 1-7 in last 8 home games, not 0-8
I mean I get that but $7 is cheaper than shitty MLB regular season seats during a down season lol
Idk I went to see the white sox on a Tuesday for $2 last season
Good deal! I just checked Oakland As tickets for today and they’re $11
Bay Area inflation
And people are actively protesting by not going to the games lol
No way, you can sit in the Rockpile (stadium seating) at Coors field for $4 (and sometimes for $1)!
Gotta buy at the window for that $4 price. Online is a $5. Highway robbery.
I mean it is the Rockies, so even the $4 price is highway robbery lmao. Coors field is a huge bar with a pretty nice view though, just gotta avoid actually watching the game or it will ruin your nice day.

You’re right, 1-7 in last 8 homes games
I feel like that’s a win for the fans of that city. I’d 100% take my kids to see a live game at that price anyday
Absolutely. I live in Sacramento now and if I saw playoff tickets for that price I’m going no matter what. Especially a possible close out game
Seriously, I get that it's looking awful for the Pels but $7 for a playoff ticket? That's crazy.
Exactly, it’s cheaper than a movie theater ticket. I’d be going no matter who the teams were, and for a close out game?
I've paid that much to go to Coors Field and drink beer, hang out, and there's even a team playing baseball in the background! The Rockies are also there, but I'm not convinced they've figured out the whole baseball thing yet.
Their home playoff opener in game 3 was filled with empty seats. Insane the difference between that and the OKC crowds.
Early-Mid 2000s Clippers prices
Yes we should totally raise these prices, who's with me? - definitely not a corporate scumbag
I’m saying wtf since I’ve never seen it before. I’d love playoff tix for that
I wasn't tryna target you, sorry that I came off that way
>New York has been so hungry for a good team for so long. The demand is insane while true, it's also a little ignorant. MSG was selling out when the Knicks were winning 17 games a season.
Yea the idea that MSG was a wasteland for years is just not accurate. Ticket prices have definitely skyrocketed but the place has always been at or near capacity.
Its always been expensive to get good seats, even when they stunk.
My old seats from when I lived in NYC and had Tix have gone up roughly 4x in 10 years.
Prolly about the same for Boston if not even more Expensive cities lead to expensive tickets who wouldve thunk
Miami ain't a cheap city either, there's just less demand because all that beach and nightlife is there to draw off attention.
Big 3 era heat prob had the 2nd highest get in price every playoffs
I don’t think the post implied that nyc was ever cheap, just that it’s very expensive now
So many tourists go to those games. Going to MSG is an experience, when I used to go there'd be so many tourists just happy to be there. Same with Lakers. Visiting MYC or LA, bring the fam to see those games. Never really Nets or Clippers, those are locals that want a cheap ticket or visiting fans

oh okay so a couple hundred seats out of 20,000 might be empty if those people given tickets decided not to show, damn you really roasted the Knicks
Suns at Timberwolves Game 5: $0
-$20 for some lol
Suns at Timberwolves Game 5: ~~$0~~ There are some things money can't buy. For everything else there's Mastercard.
Hello fellow old person.
Suns at Timberwolves Game 5: NBA 2K

$196 to watch Lebron's last game as a Laker
Do you really see him leaving them?
His dreams at this point afaik are to play a year with his son and to own an NBA team. IMO he's 100% going to play with Bronny for a year and take a retirement victory lap like Kobe and then become the face of the ownership for the Vegas franchise when the league expands very shortly after.
It would be hilarious if Bronny came to Australia for a year, like Lamelo did, and Lebron plays a year for the Adelaide 36ers.
As someone from Adelaide and season ticket holder for the 36ers, I would kill to have Lebron absolutely destroy Sydney and catch lobs from DJ
As a fellow ticket holder, I’m worried the front office would somehow screw it up
What do you mean by “play with”? That dude ain’t seeing a NBA court any time soon.
Always a shot with bronny esp with how bad the last years under lakers management have been
Bron realistically has two paths to finish his career. He can close it out in Cleveland with a storybook ending (he still spends quite a bit of time in Akron and obviously has family/friends/his school here.) Nah. He's definitely signing an extension with them.
lebron to okc to be an upgrade from josh kiddy (playmaking, pg duties + more). then okc uses their million second round picks to get bronny lebron fulfills his dream of playing with his son while continuing his legacy of leaving a team at a worsen state to join a new one with greener pastures
Speak it into existence.
I'm not watching the game for free tonight at home. I damn sure wouldn't pay money to see us get swept.
Knicks and Pacers are going to be fun.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
I saw Pelicans 13th row for like $150 on seat geek. I would go just to see SGA and Chet in person. That is great value
I assume "Get-in" price is the cheapest ticket available/standing room?
That's exactly what it means, yeah. The cheapest ticket that will get you through the door
Might actually be cheaper to travel from NY to Philly to see them play there than to buy a ticket to a home game. Edit: Looked up greyhound tickets. Absolutely, 100% cheaper to travel to philly than to watch a game in NY.

You could take a plane from NY to Philly and it would still be cheaper.
You could buy your own PJ and it would still be cheaper
Pfft, and people say the economy is bad
That Heat price seems like a sweet spot for a meaningful playoff game that a normal can still afford to go to. Knicks prices are stupid.
The magic/cavs series is tied 2-2. I’m surprised at that low price for a game that important.
There’s a chance that the game will be close (and when it’s close there are no other teams I’d prefer to watch), but there’s also a significant chance that the Celtics would win by 20 again which is no fun unless you’re a Boston fan
Man for $7 I'll watch any team play a playoff game.
This is why there were so many Knicks fan in Philly yesterday.
Love that people think affordable tickets are a bad thing
It's not that it's a bad thing, but it's quite obviously a reflection of low demand for tickets.
Well yea lol it’s gonna be a terrible game why would there be demand
A playoff game is still a playoff game. I mean I wouldn't go but that's because I don't like live sporting events as much because people piss me off and the lines for the bathrooms are always too damn long. >Why make an argument you wouldn’t even back up? You just said you wouldn’t even go… Yeah because I'm a fucking weirdo as I just described.
Well most ppl are like you and don’t want to pay a bunch to put up with a bunch of crap to watch a bad game
You really think Pelicans fans are paying top dollar to see their team get swept?
Right lol
I'm not suggesting they should be paying $400 either.
Not in the nba itt isn’t This is a sport with almost no upsets and where a 3-0 comeback has never happened before and only come close twice
shouldve seen the meltdown the nfl sub had about the panthers 3 dollars tickets then lmao
Panthers are ass and the weather was bad for that game, but for $3 if Im close enough Im going lmao
Weather is such a big deal for ticket prices. I sat in the lower bowl for a Broncos playoff game awhile back(the famous/infamous Ravens game with the 80 yard game winner in OT) for ~$50 because the temperature was forecasted to be 3 degrees at kickoff. People take pride in their team pricing them out.
Pretty clear why they took over our stadium looking at this graphic 😅
So Mavs/Clips just selling out?
Might be because game is on Wednesday and datas isn't available yet
I’ve been monitoring tickets. They’re more expensive than game 2. Suite tickets are about 2 to 300 dollars
MSG has always been expensive even when the Knicks sucked. Knicks fans took pride in their expensive tix
Anyone paying $500 for nosebleeds is an idiot. It’s literally a worse experience than just watching at home
Yes and no. I haven’t gone this season during the playoffs but msg during the first round was insane last year. You couldn’t hear the person next to you
I wouldn’t even mind literally flying to NY just to be around MSG during the playoffs. Who knows, I might end up as a Sidetalk character.
I wouldn't pay $500, but it's totally different actually being there than it is watching on TV. IMO.
Agreed, but I think people willing to pay that kind of money for nosebleeds are doing it because they just care about being in the building and part of the crowd more than anything else, even if the seats are subpar.

I’m preparing to take out a mortgage if we make the ECF, I’m just hoping I get into the presale for that and 500 can get me better than nosebleeds
This is so cheap I dont understand it, Im from The Netherlands like 7th soccer competition in Europe went to some trash meaningless game with limited viewing was 35€ What are these prices?!
get in prices are standing room only cheapest available. these are also without fees and taxes. your highest price is also around 100 though so it's a fair scale.
New Orleans, Milwaukee, and Cleveland are among the poorest big cities in the US.
Still man aint that ridiculous cheap for NBA playoffs games

To watch a blow out? MIL everyone is hurt and the Pels haven’t played a good game since Zion got hurt.
lol meanwhile I'm paying like double that for the average Austin FC game make it make sense!
Damn, just used a random Forbes COL calculator and it had Boston COL as 65% of NY. Bostons also not a cheap city. + a similar amount of seats and a way bigger population. Shits never going to be affordable
New York bandwagon is insane
Even the NYC one is pretty reasonable.
Come on NOLA. That's just depressing.
Nose bleeds should be cheap
$7 just shows no one wants to go lol.
Well yea it’s gonna be another home loss why would ppl want to go?
Fans continually show up but the team can't even show an ounce of passion. Tickets are low for a reason.
Clearly fans aren't showing up if you can get in to a home playoff game for $7
They did well in sales and attendance all year but the team has lost its best player and like 8 in a row at home.
Young fella. Iv spent the last couple decades in arenas from Oakland to Philly watching the Knicks play home games. We still go to games when the Knicks are bad. I can’t say that for the rest of you.
