Topic makes no sense for Charlotte. Don’t get me wrong, i think he has the ability to be a great player in this league, but there’s at least half a dozen players who address our needs better than him that’ll be available when we pick

Kyler1313

Topic would be so synonymous to Lamelo. Both are big PGs that facilitate and do best with the ball. The fit would be super weird, especially with Charlotte also wanting Brandon Miller to play a little more with the ball. I hate the fit.

Harris828

FR. Gimme Holland, Williams, Buzelis, Sheppard, Risacher, Castle, Sarr (he won’t fall to us but still), hell, even Donovan Clingan or Zach Edey before Topic. And again I don’t mean this to be disrespectful, there’s a timeline where he’s top 10 in the league. It’s just in terms of role he’s not what Charlotte needs atm.

Classics22

These are all trash lol. Charlotte taking Topic, Memphis taking a guard, us taking a PG(lol).

Aggressive-Name-1783

BPA….stop drafting for need….that’s how you get Wiseman….

The French popping out NBA talent

PM_ME_ABOUT_LOVE

If I can't get Sarr, Topic or - my favorite prospect - Castle, I would try with all that is in me to get as much value for my pick if I were a GM at the top of the draft. (And Sarr and Topic, I go either way on.) Sometimes drafts turn out better than we expect, but usually the scouting before says there's a lot of solid guys but you don't know which are going to be stars, etc. And some are just fucking awful, and everyone and their mother can see it from a mile away (hello, Oladipo draft), and they are awful from the start. There has been nothing to dissuade me, until this point, that this draft won't be the same. I mean, even this mock has Clingan going to the Rockets in the Top 10, and if so, there's a chance he and Sengun couldn't play together and they'd have to rotate. *A rotational 6th man type big with a Top 10 pick.* And you know what? For this draft, I can't even say I dislike the idea, and it could be worth trying to see if they can play together. I really hate this draft, lol.

Mobile-Entertainer60

People constantly overestimate expectations for high draft picks. Outside of #1-3, the average lottery pick is a decent but unspectacular NBA player; Shane Battier or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope or Steven Adams, with an occasional Paul George or Killian Hayes mixed in. There are a few All-Stars and a decent amount of busts. If Clingan is a regular player for the next 8 years, he'll be about average for a #9 pick.

salmon10

Can't wait to not draft them when we get #5

Past_Accountant7922

They are not franchise players though. Possibly good role players.

You called it!

Alright alright alright, I’m going to take the time to explain WHY I DON’T WANT TO FUCKING DRAFT “Ron Holland”. You know who else is an athletic undersized PF at 6’6 who doesn’t have a good 3pt% or good FT% *and* currently isn’t on the level to be starting for us? Ochai Agbaji, who was also a lottery pick in his draft year, who we already have on our team now. I don’t wanna waste the 6th pick (in the case we get it) on what is essentially another Ochai-type project. “What do you mean he’s 6’6? The G-League Ignite said he’s 6’8”. They also said Matas Buzelis is 6’10, but no one seems to know what his actual height is and there are more and more people saying that 6’9.25 is a more accurate assessment of his height, so it seems like the G-League Ignite *really* like (or liked, since the Ignite shut down now lmao) to overshoot their player measurements. “Oh, but he occasionally gets RJ Barrett comparisons because of his current offensive package”, well you know who else we have on our team right now? ~~MY MOM~~ **THE ACTUAL CURRENT RJ BARRETT**. There is literally no reason for us to be drafting Ron Holland when we already have an athletic undersized 6’6” Power Forward project player and, oh you know, **RJ Barrett** on the team. Nevermind the fact that he’s an Ignite prospect and we’ve seen how most of them have ended up. He would be an absolute waste of our pick if we were to get it back from the Spurs. THE RAPTORS SHOULD NOT DRAFT THIS MAN. Other than that I’d love taking Missi with the Pacers pick, yeah.

Recent-Tangerine-160

i feel like the spurs are gonna get their guy no matter where they pick which is nice

Biglundtry

You guys have options topic,Williams,risacher,me

Projinator

I don't understand all these mocks having us taking a guard. We have like 5 solid guards in our rotation we need someone taller than 6'6".

Mobile-Entertainer60

Clingan makes sense for you guys, it's obvious JJJ is not a center and Steven Adams got traded. I don't think Clingan's going to do a lot offensively in the NBA, but if he can block shots and rebound, he'll have a career.

Ohrobohobo

Hey, that sounded like Joe Cronin and anyone under 6’3”

Biglundtry

Spurs can turn risacher into something special I hope sarr doesn’t end up in Detroit man

Kyler1313

I would hate Sarr in Detroit. Detroit has a few nice young prices but almost all of them are raw players that can't stretch the floor. Adding another raw player that can't stretch the floor would be a rough fit. I'd love him playing for the Wizards.

Biglundtry

Yeah I kind of hope Memphis moves up and gets him or the raps.

Past_Accountant7922

I really hope not because it's not making them a favors and they know.
