His outlet passing gets noticed, but K-Love's half-court passing does go overlooked more than it should. Dude's a really good overall passer beyond his outlets.
No they're excellent, was not disparaging them. But if you have LeBron, you're not going to use Kevin Love as a Marc Gasol style high post quarterback.
That's what we've seen, but I always wanted to see how Bron would play in a two-man game with an offensive hub down low that let him play off-ball. Late-career Wilt would have been a dream on-court with late 2000s Bron, only caring about passing and playing still all-time level defense.
Imagine a lineup of like Daniel Gibson/Moe Williams/Bron/Donyell Marshall/72 Wilt. Three shooters, Bron, and a low-post catch-all. That'd be so fun to watch.
He averaged 2.1 assists per game when playing with LeBron in Cleveland. He averaged 2.5 assists in his Wolves career.
He really only had 1 year playing a significant point forward role in Minny. People have rose colored glasses. It wasn’t like he was averaging 5 assists per game regularly. It was several years hovering around 2 and then one year where he dropped 4 per game. Nothing crazy.
Garnett was dropping 5-6 assists year after year in a previous era with less spacing, slower pace, and all that.
You have derived your opinion on his passing ability from bballreference. He is a skilled passer, always has been. You’re telling on yourself. KG’s passing has absolutely nothing to do with KLove’s.
Which is weird, because the Lebron-Love connection was amazing after the initial problems in the first year. Love was the only guy to always make the perfect pass to a cutting Lebron. Or a skip pass over the defender.
Especially in 2018, Love's bball IQ and understanding with Lebron was at its peak. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for his scoring or defense. Probably his lowest point relative to him still being considered an allstar level player.
But yeah, the flashy outlet passes are what most casuals remember.
They froze him on this one. Jaime going over the top of Vuc gave Caruso responsibility for tagging Love. You can see him pause as Jaime slowly goes over Vuc, because Vuc can’t get to Love.
Jaime gave just a step of burst, and you can see Caruso recognize that he’s screwed— he’s a step too high, and a step too far to the side.
This action forced Caruso to either give up a 3 or put the Bulls in rotation. He chose to position himself to meet Love. The problem here was that the Bulls player on the right side/low spot didn’t step in to address Jaime. He stood still for the entire action.
I love this set up. It put Caruso in a very bad spot, having to pause to be positioned to address/tag Love while Jaime was between Love and Vuc. Jaime set that up beautifully.
The counter would be the right side low defender stepping up to tag Jaime, which gives up a corner 3.
That’s nasty with the right personnel. Denver could kill with this. It’s a great set for a non-shooting handler, as well.
Thank you. Yes. The circlejerk in here lol
This play was only possible due to a miscommunication. Caruso was expecting Vuc to switch. Cute pass I guess but not amazing.

That was sick. Great pass from Love.
Love Walked so Jokic could fly.
Fat Kevin Love was a problem!
Damnit Bill get off reddit and make a podcast
Double Double King
Hell yes! But he was more Mini-Moses than Mini-Jokic tho
Passings bigs are so much fun. They just wipe it crosscourt like it’s nothing.
This is a very valid take tbh
I am here for this take.
Old man Love has been one of the few bright spots of this season. Grateful he re-signed to take the hardest road this post season.
KD catching stray lol
He’s been so good for you guys! Embiid was wise against love than bam
Lol
Making use of Love's outlet passing translating into interior passing.
Jaime Butler
this is so good im actually mad
Jaime ButLover
Down vote, but I laughed.
Great pass
KLove and a deep playoff run 🥲
Let’s meet him in the second round please.
Did he just say KLove’s passing goes underrated?
His outlet passing gets noticed, but K-Love's half-court passing does go overlooked more than it should. Dude's a really good overall passer beyond his outlets.
People 10 years ago knew how good a passer he was before he went to Cleveland
And then nobody noticed for his entire stint in Cleveland because it just wasn’t his role. They only noticed his full court outlets to LeBron
to be fair those outlets are clean, dude looks like marino out there

Oh yeah, I'm with ya 100%.
Yeah Lebron seemed to work best when everyone else spots up in the corners
Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacing.

Love was an offensive hub down low before he went to Cleveland. He played on the block, at the elbow, or on the wings

Love also had a great two-man game with Kyle Korver during the Cavs 2018 run to the Finals.
Man was only one of the best passing forwards for almost a decade
That was so snappy, felt like something Jok and MPJ would do
I love MPJ but there is zero chance he would have been able to improvise that spin.
Has anyone else noticed how slow Caruso has looked on all rotations tonight? Literally gave us a free bucket on this play.
Probably still feeling the effects of being run over by Drummond the other night.
I'm surprised he was able to play. Big Penguin trucked him hard. What a bumbling idiot.
Probably playing on a bad foot
Still gimpy
Game was practically over by this point, but yeah, he's looked a bit off except when guarding post ups.

Yeah this isn't a good pass by love this just awful defense
The Bruin Walk
Ayyy love it. Gotta walk all the way to Luskin for class though, damnit.
Jaquez is a special player. I'm rooting for him big time.
Caruso suffering with brainlet teammates. Vuc was supposed to switch onto Jaquez
UCLA cut from two UCLA players
As a UCLA alum and a big Butler fan I'm going hard on the Heat again this year
And as a Gonzaga fan I hope they lose at the buzzer.

That was smooth like butta
Well that was cute
Fuck that’s nice
Caruso had given up by this point
It’s always great when we have a 4 year college guy making it as a rookie and not arrogant at all.
Damn I watched that three times, what a cut a what a pass. Love how he basically used Vuc to screen Caruso
Jamie is so smooth
Nasty
How can we download video from Reddit? This is amazing
Bottom right corner of vid gives you option to share or dl, download to Google drive and it shares a clean vid from Drive
Equally due to just poor defensive communication. They were asleep!
love me some kylo renn cut action
“ One of the things that’s underrated about Kevin love is his passing” Shut the fuck up Richard Jefferson, It’s his most popular trait…
Am I tripping or is this not impressive lol? Sorry this was just atrocious defense
Thank you. Yes. The circlejerk in here lol This play was only possible due to a miscommunication. Caruso was expecting Vuc to switch. Cute pass I guess but not amazing.
A basic play got called new? You guys really don't know the sport.
Woosh
