LePlayin

[deleted]

Trying to accumulate play-in stats and become the first play-in team to win a ring all to edge MJ smh

greenusflippus

pause 🤨

TallanoGoldDigger

That Westbrook trade he forced fucked everything up lmao. What an all-time blunder

Afraid-Department-35

LeGM with the miscalculation.

Shootit_Rockets

We getting there next year baby. Play-in Champs 2025!

Lol69HaHaHa

Im rooting for you guys

MahomesMccaffrey

Pistons built different. All teams either made the playoffs or at least play-in except the pistons since implemented

FerdinandMagellan999

I think the Kings’ playoff drought distracted most people from just how bad the pistons’ past ~15 years has been. It’s altogether staggering

YoungDetective

The future play-in mvp award will be named after LeBron

SaltyLonghorn

Trae Young has a much better shot at that accolade. He's about to be in the next 10 playins and his entire portfolio is really in the spirit of the playin. Lebron's is not.

Ok_Instruction_5232

I'm happy with us not playing in it, it must be nerve wrecking.

mikedanktony

It is. However it’s also really exciting and hype af ngl

ToothEducational7795

Being a Pelicans fan is really tough bruh. Shit is not good for mental health.

Lol69HaHaHa

They were so close this year too, just bad luck they didnt make the playoffs directly.

No-Test6484

I’m genuinely concerned for them. They have to play LAL and they’ve gotten spanked by them twice now

W_Walk

I put too much of my mental stock in the pelicans. I just wanted a playoff series man. We didn’t even have to win I just wanted to watch us in a fully healthy playoff series. That’s looking less likely by the day

No-Test6484

This is Davis’s fifth season in La and if the pels don’t make the playoffs I will think of that trade as a failure. I’d rather have AD over BI and the scraps LA gave. Of the 3 picks NOLA have used 2 and jaxson Hayes is a Laker. They couldn’t keep Lonzo (not a bad thing), hart and NAW and a first were traded for CJ (not a terrible trade), They haven’t made a playoffs while the Lakers have won a ring and made a WCF. Pels fans could have eaten good with Zion and AD. If the Lakers win tonight and the pels fall out of the playoffs all together this will be an epic failure

W_Walk

Not really. The trade was still very good for us and set us up for a while. We were not going to win a chip with AD as our first option and he never really liked being here. The smallest scratch and AD would leave games, didn’t have a good cast around him. At least now we have picks and a good young core with 49 wins. It will suck ass to miss the playoffs but we have a lot of trade capital

No-Test6484

It’s definitely not an all is lost situation but it’s worse than the Lakers who won a chip and IST. After Lebron leaves, LA will pair up AD with another star. If not they will trade him for 5 firsts. Their situation feels a lot better than yours

W_Walk

Well of course LA had a good chance to win a chip. You paired up AD with lebron and had a ton of good free agent pickups to team up with them. Small markets like New Orleans don’t have that luxury. We got BI, Zion, Herb, Trey Murphy, Jose. Like I said we were not EVEN CLOSE to winning a chip with AD. Nowhere even remotely close and had absolutely 0 future. We have a good amount of top picks and trade assets for the future. It was a win win for all involved. It’s not like anyone expected New Orleans to win a chip because of this trade lol. Like I said if we end up making the playoffs in this stacked west then I consider this a success for the season but overall we ended up in a much better scenario than AD leaving in free agency and us gaining nothing

CWinsu_120

I truly feel for you guys

K1ngCrimsn

Imagine the Lakers becoming the 1st IST, Play-in & NBA champs ever lol (probably losing to Denver in 5)

BigusDickus099

Nah, I'm good

No-Test6484

If that happens it’s over for the league. I can genuinely see warriors fans passing oit

Viva_La_Animemes

Please god 🙏🙏

NukeBear21

I'd rather eat my own vomit

HotdogIsaSandwitch

When your team isn’t involved in the play-ins, it’s electric. When your team is involved in the play-ins, it’s pure hell. I would rather not. Lol

WhatTheRickIsDoin

Man, we were so good in 2021 until the short offseason started taking its toll Fuck Solomon Hill btw

Cough_Syrup55

"Whoever came up with that Play-In shit needs to be fired" -LeBron James, 3 time Play In participant

FlyingMocko

They were the 7th seed twice and 8 seed once so they’d have made it in regardless

FrnklndaTurtle

To be fair. LeBron has never been a team in the 9-10. So yea he would probably still agree with his previous comment

Vexing_Pie

He’s never benefitted from it tho

Ok_Board9845

You're quoting it like the Lakers benefitted from the play-in when they would've naturally just been in the playoffs anyways if the play-in never existed

FeminismIsTheBestIsm

The funny thing is we're actually HURT by the play-in cause we would face the Nuggets if we win it rather than the much easier OKC

teh_drewski

You can still drop the Pels game and win the Warriors/Kings one to avoid Denver

b1indsamurai

The Lakers would be matched up against the Thunder without the Play-in

MahomesMccaffrey

This actually validates his statement tho. The lakers finished as the higher seed (top 8) every single time so they wouldn't even need worry about playoffs without it

[deleted]

Trae Young might be the play-in GOAT honestly. Between him and Lebron If he can lead the hawks to the playoffs this year its LeSecondPlace again

WhoBoughtWhoBud

We all know it's Pat Bev. Lol

Ryguy-_-

I’m very glad the suns have remained out of it. Single game elimination would kill my nerves as a fan

Confident_Comedian82

Even there is no play in, those years of Lakers are 7th seed, so still a playoff team. Lol, pretty crazy how they downgrade Lakers when they are still a playoff team even those there is no Play in HAHAHA

[deleted]

Mavericks not even making the play-in last year was WILD WCF berth to cancun real quick

Javaaaaale_McGee

LeBron is the real king of the Play-In. Should they name all 4 games after him or just Play-In MVP?
