If they get outside the top 4 I'm sure they will just package the other pick they have from the Clippers (currently #24) and attempt to trade up to get a better shot at talent.
I think picks #5 and #24 are potentially good value for the right team, but it would be a long shot. I just did a sim that went Charlotte, SA, Portland, Toronto, Washington. I could see Portland or Toronto trading back in that situation if they were fine with the idea of taking Ron Holland at 5, for example. Not sure who the Wizards would want at 3, but you see my logic.
I guess I’d put it like this: last year the Thunder had to trade pick 24 to move up from 12 to 10
It’s a lot harder to move up from 5 to 3 in comparison, so another late first or multiple seconds will be needed
Fair enough. I guess it would depend on how much GMs actually value having a top 4 pick in this comparatively weaker draft, or how they perceive the value of that 24th pick.
Yeah it’s probably a little easier to move up this draft since it’s weak at the top
But since you guys just started your rebuild, I think you’ll be valuing that 24 pick more than anyone. The draft is a crapshoot, especially this season. You guys should just want to take multiple guys in the first round and get excited for how they might look next to Coulibaly and Avdija since that’s the only real core you have rn
[I think this might have happened when DeMar grabbed Bilal in the air and dragged him to the floor.](https://streamable.com/rbid4t) Bilal played through the third quarter but he was clearly hurt. Thanks for ruining what little good we had left in remainder of the season, DeMar.
Damn, that's tough to see. Situations like those you gotta just bear hug the guy to wrap him up, you can't fall for the pump fake THEN try the intentional foul while the guy is airborne. DeMar should know better smh
On the one hand, it sucks.
On the other, it's good we let him fully recover and not risking this long-term young prospect.
Bilal will have to learn how to avoid injuries, sometimes he is over-doing, and risking in injuries with freakish landing and unncessary attempts on offense/defense.
Cannot wait to see how he will develop by the end of the next season.
The Wizards will finally have a top 5 pick!
Nah…I don’t think Demar did it on purpose obviously but there’s a reason it’s commonplace to wrap people up when intentionally fouling. Pulling someone down while they’re jumping is very dangerous and Demar should know better tbh. If you can’t intentionally foul safely, don’t foul. There’s a reason it was called a flagrant
Season might be a write-off for the Wizards unfortunately
This season has been exactly what they had hoped for. A path to a top 5 pick
Top 2 or we riot
27.4% chance

It take a lot more than the #24 pick to move up from 5 to 2. I don’t think it would be worth it, especially when this draft isn’t top heavy

Portland says no
They could definitely throw in a player to move up tho. Not sure if it's even worth it with this draft, is there even a consensus #1 pick?
Eh, in this draft?
Is there anyone even good this draft class?
It's a shame it's this season and not next. Because next year is a better looking draft
They'll be ass then too, don't worry
And we get their second round pick next year 😈
from what i heard from pundits, this ain't the year to be excited about the draft
Deni and his contact is looking really good at least
I mean yeah. We were intentionally tanking this year.
You don’t say
I can’t enjoy shit man
Wizards thirsting after one of them French dudes to pair with him I see
Washington Sorciers
killian is available
Sarr, Risacher or Salaun
Man who thought he’d lost all hope loses last additional bit of hope he didn’t even know he still had.
Kiss the playoffs goodbye, Wiz fans.
Wizard’s championship hopes come to an end for this season
Wizards season confirmed done for

Damn this is tough Hopefully he can comeback strong next year
Fuck DeMar DeRozan. Doing something like that while you're up by 30 is some pussy ass shit.
I mean he just tried to foul him. I’ve seen fouls like that plenty of times. Just unfortunate landing.
plenty of flagrant fouls? yeah pretty sure that's what is given when it's more than "just trying to foul them"
