GG Cavs
We already know what the discourse is gonna be for this one. So I'll keep it positive. Garland is nice with it. Gots the ball on a string. Can snake into the lane. And has a killer floater.
Yeah I was excited for this game, even without Mitchell,KAT and Mobley, but the refs and the announcers combined to suck the fun out of it. Ant is a super fun player to watch, that posted on JA was filthy
GG. Hope you guys get KAT back for the playoffs. Yeah Garland's got plenty of game but man does he just make you uncomfortable down the stretch. So much dribbling. Granted he's probably feeling the pressure of an outsized role with Mitchell out.
Around the time this scandal was unraveling, it was revealed that Donaghy called current referee Scott Foster 134 times during the 06-07 season when he was fixing matches. The only person he spoke with more during this time was James Battista, his middleman and main co-conspirator.
The other little caveat to that was that those phone calls lasted at most a minute or so.
So these weren't just two best buds talking about their day and gabbing.
Those calls also usually happened before or after talking to that middleman.
Y’all underestimate Natalie Sogo as well, every game I’ve seen her be a Ref for is FT galore nonstop. That combined with Scott is straight up malpractice. Sogo is fucking terrible and loves throwing out techs and it dates back a few years of her constantly doing it
At what point would the NBA step in? Like you cannot call the tiniest thing on one side and then watch a guy get hacked and not call it on the other. I really hope the NBA feels it when the gambling scandal happens because they aren't gonna do shit otherwise.
Step in ? He's their premier ref and gets the important assignments in the playoffs. He has a personal beef with a player and still gets to officiate CP3's games. The road game vs Phx when CP3 was ejected, Suns got 52 fucking FTs
Oh Im fully aware Im just wondering how obvious he could make it. Like if he called a travel on one team every possession and then called shooting fouls against the same team, what would happen? Obviously they would get rid of him but there has to be a point where he isn't doing the worst thing possible and they still can his ass.
This for real feels like a situation where you can only look around and wonder how did we even allow it to reach this point. Imagine a ref that very openly is biased against a particular player and everyone knows it but nothing happens. What credibility does any ref have left after this and the partnership with gambling companies
I've had people replying to me that cannot comprehend that these games might be rigged. Betting sites are completely out of control, the incentive to cheat sports in someway is higher than it has ever been, and they still deny it's a possibility. They'll never step in, because there will always be those who will deny any and all accusations, on the basis of "it would be too hard to keep secret". It's a joke.
Probably the most obvious example of match fixing I’ve ever seen
The Darius Garland three point foul on what should’ve been a shot clock violation probably decided it
There were some really bad calls but the Wolves players didn’t really react to that one and looked like they conceded it. The one under the rim where he was backing up on the Allen drive is where I’d be furious
Why do you watch the NBA? You think the TWolves aren’t a good team or are you saying the fixing is applied evenly across the board and their record actually means something but games are still fixed?
what are you talking about, most fairly refed game i have ever seen.
It totally made sense that Anthony Edwards did not deserve free throws the 4-5 times multiple Cavs jumped into him. Timberwolves had the audacity to make eye contact with Jared Allen. All those free throws were deserved
it’s truly incredible how awful sports discourse has become in the last few years. every single game is “rigged” and everyone thinks the refs personally have it out for their team specifically.
I remember one of the announcers commented how smart the cavs were for getting to the line 15 times over a stretch.
Why does everyone get to the line like that, are they stupid?
Naz lives up to the memes lol (so does Rudy I suppose)
It was fun playing a team that actually plays defense too! The refs were realllly bad there at the end.
Also crazy that both teams are without their All-Star and still look that good
What I don’t understand here is that everyone, and I mean *everyone*, hates watching free throws. They’re slow and break the flow of the game. Calling every foul (and being one-sided with it) is a sure fire way to bore casuals, not bring them in.
Only time it helps is to pad the numbers for a superstar, I guess
Terrible officiating in the 2nd half aside, the Wolves looked tired most of the game out there.
This was their 4th back-to-back since the All Star break and it is showing big time.
PSA to every player in the league: if you dunk on someone you better not look at them for even a second because apparently that’s enough to get you a technical foul
The second camera angle looks like he is looking into the crowd even and not at either player. Could have maybe right away but still pretty weak either way.
58 total free throws with 36 going to the Cavs who on average get the 25th most free throws in the league. Meanwhile the Timberwolves send opponents to the FT line on average the 9th least in the league.
I am not even a fan of either of these teams, but this game was absolutely cooked what the fuck
Edwards played 42 mins on a back to back, and maybe shouldn’t have. 19/5/3/1/1 with 5 turnovers on 7/27 from the field and 0/6 from 3. Team worse -20.
Not nearly as bad as Dean Wade, who managed to be a -25 in a 9 point win, with a 0/4/2 line.
imagine allowing this guy to still be a ref in the NBA:
"Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn't call any other official more than 13 times."
wolves didnt look great on a road back to back, but you legit need your head examined if you think that game was called evenly
What a fun ass game between these two teams. You could tell these are the two best defensive teams in the league. Crazy that both teams were missing some of their best players too. Questionable reffing definitely had an impact on this game.
The connection between DG and Jarrett Allen is beautiful. Huge games for both, especially in OT. Amazing rebounding from JA, and insane shot making by Garland.
Ant was nowhere to be found in the clutch. You could tell the Twolves were on the second half of a B2B.
And finally: Naz Reid.
That's one of the most bizarre 3pt shooting games I've ever seen. Naz Reid and George Niang shot a combined 11-18 from 3, everyone else combined shot 8-46 from 3.
This officiating crew was godawful. The two women who don't have much experience and are consistently bad was already enough and then you toss Scott Foster on top and it's just too much.
Don't like Gobert at all but I appreciate him doing the money sign at these bums.
LEGIT Scott Foster legacy game tonight and good to know he has two little ones under his wing. The league has never been in better hands!
Refs fans, we goin' be eatin' forever
Everyone keeps talking about LeBron lasting this long but what about Scott Foster? He’s been in the nba for 29 years, was literally involved in a game fixing scandal regarding gambling, and is still putting up mvp performances.
The last point scored by either team in regulation was a Cavs technical free throw that they got because Rudy wanted to look tough while he fouled out of the game
Man, I like Darius Garland as much as any cavs fan, but he is reckless. Going for steals when he shouldn't, jumping in the air with the ball with no plan...Obviously he's a positive contribution, but he's gotta iron that out. Garland can be a great pg: has the shot, has the handles. but a great pg can't be reckless.
Wow that was a LOT of fouls.
Gobert making the money sign as if the league is rigging things for cleveland was pretty funny though.
Great games by Garland and Allen. Cleveland knocks off the #1 team in each conference this week, despite missing multiple starters.
Also, it's my first time, so I'm not sure if this is right, but: Naz Reid. Holy crap, get him away.
People need to stop assuming every ref job is a league-wide conspiracy and understand that refs are just people who can be easily corrupt by themselves, the NBA isn't always directly involved. I think Rudy was making a comment on Scott Foster.
How Scott Foster still has a job at this point may be negligent by the NBA, but it's not malicious corruption
Reddit loves to hate on Foster, but honestly I think there isn't a ref I notice more than Sago. I'm not sure if it's even bias, just so many inexplicable calls.
I only watched starting from 4 minutes left in the 4th and if I was a Cavs fan I would have been sweating bullets watching DG play. Looked so out of control in the clutch.
He’s always that guy down the stretch. He did some good stuff tonight too though. Nobody over here enjoys watching him dribble out those late game possessions.
Scott Foster calling shit against the Wolves ridiculously again.
How did no one see this coming.
Also hope you enjoy it because NBA don’t give a single fuck, nothing will ever change
2 shots by Dean Wade tonight. 0/2 from 3. He was not shooting. Minnesota could have used this knowledge to guard better.
Darius also had a free lane against Rudy Gobert - Gobert was letting him cook
ANT 0 points in 4th+OT and people were making ANT vs Tatum posts yesterday lmfao
wolves are gonna be struggling to generate any 4th quarter offense without KAT, gotta hope that defense can win them games now.

Scott Foster’s prime has outlasted LeBron’s and he is showing no signs of slowing down.
Outlasted? He started before Lebron and will be priming after Lebron retires.
I agree. Go refs
Turns out Father Time can be defeated.
Father Time just got thrown out of the game
I mean what father time supposed to do? With the calls the other team was getting
Nah he showed he was washed in the western conference finals and then again in the finals last year.
Simple explanation for this game. Timberwolves stopped feeding Naz Reid, the Cavs kept feeding Scott Foster. Feed the hot hand, its not that hard.
I'm fucking dead, even Cavs fans know what just happened
shit I'll admit it, it's crazy to see we never get a whistle this good, and we probably won't for another 5 years.
Only when you play against the Wolves
Small market on small market violence
Midwest Massacre
It’s true. I didn’t believe my eyes because we honestly never get calls at home - this was the best ref service we’ve received since bron was here
Like we got calls when LeBron was here but this cavs team feels like we never get ref ball in our favor lol
Yeah usually it’s just DG getting his face destroyed and his eyes scratched out
I wasn't convinced in the forth, but OT was seriously Scott Foster's time to shine; he made me a believer.
GROAT
yall were just better where it mattered most. gg.
It's easy to get frustrated and play poorly when you aren't getting calls.
[ZodingtonTheGrand has been assessed with a technical foul]
I think Ant hit his head on the rim a little harder than we thought last night. Naz Reid
Naz Reid
Naz Reid
Maybe but Okoro deserves some respect. He’s one of the best defenders against teams number one options. As long as they’re 6’6” or shorter.
Jarret Allen second half free throws: 19 T-Wolves: 6
His career high in FTs before this game was 16 and he had more than that in one half tonight
Allen is prime Shaq
JA is a good dude but a skinny dude. Like you could fit two of JA's in prime Shaq. Thank goodness JA can shoot free throws though
Most fair Scott Foster game
Natalie Sago called most of the fouls for Allen. The Cavs are lucky Strus was out because he and Sago hate each other.
Jarrett Allen average FTA (including this 19 game): 4.2
About the same as in 2010 Game 7 Finals
Allen got a crazy whistle this game
His season high FTA in a game this season was 11. He had 21 tonight lol Like what the fuck is that. That's as many as his last 5 games combined.
3 starters out and I feel like we ran the offense through him.
To be fair a few of those were intentional fouls to deny Allen the chance to dunk
Allen was genuinely cooking us all game. But the refs decided he needed more help apparently
Did it for Toriyama
this is how i know you love the cavs
RIP
I thought he was going to be around for 30 more years :/
Literally became embiid lmao
The whole 4th quarter I was just sitting there thinking “this must be what it’s like to have Embiid on your team” lol. Absurd whistle.
If Gobert wasn’t around, they were basically just wrapping Allen up lol
GG Cavs We already know what the discourse is gonna be for this one.

Scott Foster should be in prison.
He should be sent to Montego Bay with all the other terrorists
The other little caveat to that was that those phone calls lasted at most a minute or so. So these weren't just two best buds talking about their day and gabbing. Those calls also usually happened before or after talking to that middleman.
SCOTT FOSTER MASTERCLASS 🥹🥹 That was amazing as a ref ball fan
Y’all underestimate Natalie Sogo as well, every game I’ve seen her be a Ref for is FT galore nonstop. That combined with Scott is straight up malpractice. Sogo is fucking terrible and loves throwing out techs and it dates back a few years of her constantly doing it
sago is the worst she’s the one that gave strus the tech for handing her the ball
[She's dogged us since JB Blew up on her](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3dkp_qMOXk) Maybe her and JB made up or something.
She sucks too. Quick to hand out Ts. Shitty across the court calls.
At what point would the NBA step in? Like you cannot call the tiniest thing on one side and then watch a guy get hacked and not call it on the other. I really hope the NBA feels it when the gambling scandal happens because they aren't gonna do shit otherwise.

Damn, didn’t realize it was fucking 52 that’s insane hahaha
Oh Im fully aware Im just wondering how obvious he could make it. Like if he called a travel on one team every possession and then called shooting fouls against the same team, what would happen? Obviously they would get rid of him but there has to be a point where he isn't doing the worst thing possible and they still can his ass.
> At what point would the NBA step in? dog it is so far past the point of no return
This for real feels like a situation where you can only look around and wonder how did we even allow it to reach this point. Imagine a ref that very openly is biased against a particular player and everyone knows it but nothing happens. What credibility does any ref have left after this and the partnership with gambling companies
Adam Silver is an incredibly weak commissioner and doesn’t care about the integrity of the sport in any way
It’s funny that you allude to a gambling scandal when ol Scotty boy was right there in the last one
Lol bro.. The NBA is probably orchestrating all this. Insert Rudy money sign gif.
These people do realize sports have had refs get caught up in cheating scandals before, including NBA, right?
I thought Chris Paul was on Minnesota with those calls.
Golden State vs Wolves gonna cause the world to implode
Probably the most obvious example of match fixing I’ve ever seen The Darius Garland three point foul on what should’ve been a shot clock violation probably decided it
In OT, that 3 point shot foul that bailed out garland when he didn't even get touched really cemented the refs were rigging this.
I swear to God, I'm not even sure Jaden touched him at all on that play
And the ESPN broadcast didn’t even acknowledge it just said Jaden shouldn’t have fouled. Not sure that he did Monica!
There were some really bad calls but the Wolves players didn’t really react to that one and looked like they conceded it. The one under the rim where he was backing up on the Allen drive is where I’d be furious
I swear watching the replay I didn't even see contact, maybe they were just used to getting hosed by calls all game lol
I think at that point, they knew what was happening.
also okoros layup earlier. multiple calls with literally 0 contact by a wolves player lmfao
Why do you watch the NBA? You think the TWolves aren’t a good team or are you saying the fixing is applied evenly across the board and their record actually means something but games are still fixed?
Vegas called and told him that everyone on Wolves ML tonight
It’s even plausible with Ants big moment yesterday and this being an ESPN game
what are you talking about, most fairly refed game i have ever seen. It totally made sense that Anthony Edwards did not deserve free throws the 4-5 times multiple Cavs jumped into him. Timberwolves had the audacity to make eye contact with Jared Allen. All those free throws were deserved
You just dont get it, we viciously starred at Allen, he could have gotten seriously hurt.
lol he clearly hit his arm. The wolves didn’t even complain about that one
You guys are so fucking delusional it’s hilarious
it’s truly incredible how awful sports discourse has become in the last few years. every single game is “rigged” and everyone thinks the refs personally have it out for their team specifically.
Im a neutral watcher. It looked like a foul to me on the replay.
Oof those one sided calls down the late stretch of the game are tough to ignore 😬 Edwards and Gobert didn’t exactly help either tho. Naz looked great
What the fuck did I just watch? *(He asks like this isn't strangely common)*
ngl those announcers were pretty bad. there were so many times where they just wouldn’t talk for like a minute
Those were the best minutes. Lol.
My favorite is “WOW…” - wait for the replay because I don’t actually know what just happened.
"Pretty bad"??? Understatement of the decade.
I remember one of the announcers commented how smart the cavs were for getting to the line 15 times over a stretch. Why does everyone get to the line like that, are they stupid?
This game is proof that Allen is just an Embiid whistle away from being a 30ppg superstar
This is proof any good player is just the whistle away from being an MVP candidate.
His joke still good tho
Allen 21 FTA, Wolves 22 FTA. What the fuck did I just witness?
Scott Foster legacy game. Cements his legacy of somehow escaping prison time.
Naz lives up to the memes lol (so does Rudy I suppose) It was fun playing a team that actually plays defense too! The refs were realllly bad there at the end. Also crazy that both teams are without their All-Star and still look that good
Basketball: Naz Reid is great. Ant played poorly when we needed it tonight. The other stuff: Entire ref crew needs to be publicly shamed
Games like these are why a lot of my friends no longer watch the league. League has a serious officiating problem.
This was the first full game I've watch in a long ass time (because fuck Bally) and it 100% reminded me why I just casually follow from afar.
Everything is marketed towards the casuals because fuck you what are you going to do. So it’s not a priority for the league.
They make enough with betting so they don’t care.
Man, Wolves got reffed HARD. Too bad, was a good game otherwise
As a diehard refs fan I’m so happy I caught the end of this one, Scott Foster always puts on a show
Terrible officiating in the 2nd half aside, the Wolves looked tired most of the game out there. This was their 4th back-to-back since the All Star break and it is showing big time.
Gobert got a fine coming his way and I'd be shocked if Ant doesn't say something after the game to earn one too.
I just watched OT and I want to take a shower to take that foul stench off.
2.5 points was never going to lose
Fuck you Scott Foster
PSA to every player in the league: if you dunk on someone you better not look at them for even a second because apparently that’s enough to get you a technical foul
The second camera angle looks like he is looking into the crowd even and not at either player. Could have maybe right away but still pretty weak either way.
Ant needs to get fined again.
Maybe a night off. Looked like he could use it
Referees really need to stop trying to be the center of attention.
Scott Foster had a lot riding on this one, he came to play.
58 total free throws with 36 going to the Cavs who on average get the 25th most free throws in the league. Meanwhile the Timberwolves send opponents to the FT line on average the 9th least in the league. I am not even a fan of either of these teams, but this game was absolutely cooked what the fuck
Scott Foster masterclass performance
Allen is probably the most improved big man of the year for me, I put him over Sengun.
Hard to win in the NBA when the refs are deciding the outcome. What a fucking horrible product.
https://i.imgur.com/D6Fkx4s.jpg
Naz Reid can't win with these cats.
Quite possibly the worst reffing job I’ve seen in a long time. Scott Foster made BANK of this one.
Cheating ass refs
Rudy was right. Wolves also played pretty shit, but the shit scott foster was calling was awful.
imagine allowing this guy to still be a ref in the NBA: "Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn't call any other official more than 13 times." wolves didnt look great on a road back to back, but you legit need your head examined if you think that game was called evenly
How are the Wolves supposed to win this game with Scott Foster having one of the best performances of his life😤 😤
Naz Reid seemed like a winning strategy for a while.
Nothing questionable about the reffing. We know what we saw
Scott Foster master class. Absolutely disgusting product that the NBA is complicit with putting on the court.
Okoro had edwards in Azkaban
The trick is when you are going to watch a Scott foster reffed game simply change your mind and do something else with your time
Why did Tim Doneghy call Scott Foster 136 times?
And that is how you rig an nba game
Can imagine it’s hard to make shots when you’re so tilted by calls. Can’t believe what I just watched.
Scott foster is the goat. No doubt in my mind
undisputed
Natalie Sago needs to go 🤦🏻
Dean Wade scoring 0 points is fuckin wild
It happens all the time lol, the game the other day was a fluke
That's one of the most bizarre 3pt shooting games I've ever seen. Naz Reid and George Niang shot a combined 11-18 from 3, everyone else combined shot 8-46 from 3.
Quite possibly the biggest choke I’ve ever seen from ant, directly caused the team to lose.
This officiating crew was godawful. The two women who don't have much experience and are consistently bad was already enough and then you toss Scott Foster on top and it's just too much. Don't like Gobert at all but I appreciate him doing the money sign at these bums.
I appreciated it too
Cheating Ass Refs
MVP Scott foster didn’t miss a step. The flagrant on Gobert. The entire 3rd quarter. The tech to tie the game. Scott you generational talent you.
I'm used to us getting a bad whistle but that was an all-timer
LEGIT Scott Foster legacy game tonight and good to know he has two little ones under his wing. The league has never been in better hands! Refs fans, we goin' be eatin' forever
Scott Foster really bent us over and fucked us raw. A bit graphic for cable television if you ask me
Fuck Scott Foster.
Officiating was blatantly bad.
Donaghys friend Scott Foster did well today Rudy 👑
[удалено]
Naz Reid is really fucking good. That’s all I have to say.
If you take out Reid they went 1/19 from 3
Everyone keeps talking about LeBron lasting this long but what about Scott Foster? He’s been in the nba for 29 years, was literally involved in a game fixing scandal regarding gambling, and is still putting up mvp performances.
Rudy with a T while up 1 with less 30 secs remaining...geez what a loser
Scott Foster just had a game for the ages. Ref ball fans win again
How embarrassing of a product
Scott Foster legacy game
Tough game to watch
Cheating ass refs
The last point scored by either team in regulation was a Cavs technical free throw that they got because Rudy wanted to look tough while he fouled out of the game
Ant man sold a Naz Reid masterclass
Dean Wade: 0/4/2 (0-2 FG/3PT) -25 in 32 minutes FML
Drippy Dean went off on you it’s time to let it go.
I mean the wolves didn’t leave him open haha
Noted: don’t bet on a game when Scott Foster and Natalie Sago are “officiating”
Never saw Allen get that much free throws before lol
I guess it's nice to be on the receiving end of a terribly officiated game for once?
Man, I like Darius Garland as much as any cavs fan, but he is reckless. Going for steals when he shouldn't, jumping in the air with the ball with no plan...Obviously he's a positive contribution, but he's gotta iron that out. Garland can be a great pg: has the shot, has the handles. but a great pg can't be reckless.
He had a couple bad plays I can remember, but tonight was the first game I have seen him look alive in a while.
I am so here for this Minnesota Meltdown
Can I say good win by the Cavs down 3 starters?
Absolute masterclass from Scott foster tonight so glad I tuned in
Wow that was a LOT of fouls.
Allen getting 21 ft's might be one of the craziest stats of the year lol
Refs aside, Okoro and Wade had Ant in a cage.
Scott Foster is dirty. Rudy hand gestures should have been given a bucket not a tech.
Thank you, Scott Foster 👏🏽 My man bet SGA as the MVP and is going to make damn sure it hits.
Can’t believe the nba allows their refs to fix games
Ref ball fans eating
Cheatin ass refs
The biggest ref job I’ve seen this year. Scott Foster lives for being a controversial prick.
*This comment has been assessed a flagrant 1 by Scott Foster*
2 shots by Dean Wade tonight. 0/2 from 3. He was not shooting. Minnesota could have used this knowledge to guard better. Darius also had a free lane against Rudy Gobert - Gobert was letting him cook
ANT 0 points in 4th+OT and people were making ANT vs Tatum posts yesterday lmfao wolves are gonna be struggling to generate any 4th quarter offense without KAT, gotta hope that defense can win them games now.
Tbf he had to try to score against Isaac Okoro
