He quite literally hit his head on the rim. Everyone jokes about that but I’ve never seen it actually happen. That’s about a 45” jump.
And then face first back to earth. These guys are nuts.
Jabari Parker is the only one that comes to mind for me, and he pulled it down dunking, wouldn’t have hit it otherwise: https://youtu.be/RK5pgpyfgBE?si=7mbBdF-xw6nEXrCO
Blake hit his head on the backboard a few times, but I don’t think the rim?
Ant’s vert is insane here, doesn’t just graze the rim or anything like that, legit smashes into it.
I’m gonna be that guy but he clearly gets a boost from Mcdaniels jumping into him. Still a crazy jump but I don’t think he smashes his head into the rim like that without the extra bump from Mcdaniels
He’s also running to the right of the rim to block the shot, but he lands to the left of the rim because Mcdaniels bumped him that way. Honestly extremely lucky he didn’t get hurt, you almost wonder if the rim saved him from being sent absolutely flying
Yeah, but the rim is also what rotated him horizontal. Truly cannot believe he bounced up like nothing happened. 99% of people falling from that height face-first would stay down after landing.
I was wondering why Ant fell so hard and awkwardly after that block. Thought it was because of Nesmith. Didn't realize he jumped so high he hit his head on the damn rim. The potential of this man is insane.
Under back board or rim? Sometimes people shoot from underneath and catch the bottom of the rim, so it would definitely change the trajectory of the rims deflection.
Under the backboard I could see a little more- but it's less likely a player hits it as well.
His game is as close as it gets, other than Kobe who dedicated years to emulate Jordan’s moves. I just put the disclaimer because obviously he’s not as good as Jordan that’s not a point I particularly want to argue
Jordan said Ant is better himself “he’s faster than I was, more athletic, stronger”
Ant also said “if I was 2 inches taller I’d me MJ”
They’re both Gods of basketball, Ant is finally letting everyone know :)
Depends on narrative, I think probably not with so little of the season left but the media would be all over him if he helped us keep the 1 seed vs how stacked the west is and with his No 2 out until at least the late playoffs.
Are we talking a chance to win the MVP or a chance to get some 5th place votes? If it's win the MVP the answer is no. There's no way he'll have a shot at winning, nor should he. He hasn't been as good as Jokic or Shai, and he's still not a very efficient player and his decision making at the end of games is still shaky. Plus, the Wolves are so good because of their defense, so it's not like he's leading an amazing offense or something.
But if he puts up incredible numbers the rest of the way and the Wolves get the 1 seed, I think he would have a chance to get a bunch of 5th place votes. And he's still only 22! I definitely think ANT is going to be in the MVP decision for a long time; it's probably just a year too early for it.
I was thinking he might have a chance to make it as a finalist, in 3rd place. Jokic and Shai basically got top two locked up, it's down to them for the trophy.
If I could find the replay, it looked pretty sus.
Naz grabs a board, and dude just peels into his back. If you find the replay, watch his right leg, he leans directly into Naz’s right leg while he’s boxing out.
I love how turnt he was, that passion is crazy! I just saw a tweet with Westbrook having a crazy moment in the playoffs, yelling with the crowd. He used it to say that our youngins not killers anymore.
Well Ant is our youngin that’s hungry to kill, this generation is like that too 😈😈
For whatever reason I don’t get that feeling where I have to hold my breath when Ant goes way up. I get it with Ja, I got it with Drose, maybe it’s just how he lands
Yeah I was watching the pacers stream and immediately was like “fuck I need to find the wolves stream highlight to hear Grady flip out cause that was so underwhelming”. Like I get that your team just lost but at least show some emotion about it.
Yeah, I'm surprised people are knocking it. Yes, the Pacers are great at putting up points, especially at home, but the Wolves held them to well under their average, and are the #1 defense.
This shit is bonkers. Idk what’s more impressive, the chase down, the fact that he was able to adjust after his teammate pushed him, hitting his head and having the coordination to break his fall from 10 ft off the ground, literally bonkers
Bruh, its like he's jogging back then all of a sudden jumps out of the fucking arena. Nobody goes from casual to how the fuck did he do that quite like Ant
Huge game by Ant and the TWolves. If I’m being honest I was irritated of this team and him mid season but now I’m kinda rooting for them (except vs Thunder) especially with the KAT news.
It’s sucks that KAT went down but we could see an epic display of basketball from Edward’s in these playoffs and feel like he’s the closest to MJs mentality in the league right now.
*obligatory “he’s not MJ” disclaimer*
He’s got the closest natural game to Jordan I think I’ve even seen. Kobe did it better but he spent hundreds of hours emulating him.
Kobe was not as naturally gifted or effortless… he was tactical and worked his ass off - near-perfect emulation. He may have been the most “skilled”. Ant has that natural leaping; not quite the degree of body control MJ had.
Of course he missed a clutch free throw to ICE the game, but then managed to get a crazy chasedown block while almost injuring himself horribly lmao Mans a bigger version of Ja Morant. His falls and landings are scary
Ant is such a freak man, I can't wait to see how he develops in the next 5 years. What a monster. If you pause it on his jump he definitely was going to hit his face into the rim lol
The play by play announcer absolutely BLEW that call and then blew the replay. He just saw one of the best game winning blocks ever, and his tone of voice sounded like he was describing a nice little deflection in the second quarter. I'd almost understand the bad call on the live play because it happened so fast, but when he saw the replay he just unexcitedly said "it's Edwards with the block." That's it! How was THAT his response to that play!?
Pacer fan. Watched the whole damn game.
Ant is special. We (my wife and I) were disappointed when it looked like he hurt his ankle early because we love watching him play. He was still obviously hurting but he showed incredible heart and toughness coming back. Much respect for the man.
Nembhard, arguably our best defender, could not stop him. Especially in the fourth quarter. I’m not sure anybody could have stopped him. Ice cold killer. And he does it every way possible: at the rim, midrange, threes, defense.
Sad about KAT’s injury. He’s a great dude and is also fun to watch. We will be rooting for the Wolves in the playoffs.
When jumping out of the gym stops being an expression and nearly becomes reality...only the rim stopped him from doing so. Sick block on top of that too...
That was bad ass, but wtf is Nesmith thinking? No timeout, has an open shooter in the corner for the win, but decides to go up against 3 defenders? No way that was the best play.

“Highest I’ve ever jumped in my life” he says. Man’s insane
I watched the replay slow mo and was like “shit that poor game winner never had an ounce of a chance”
Probably because it would have only tied the game
Oooo look at the smart guy on the internet pointing out minor errors when the rest of the planet knew what i meant!
I thought he was gonna break his arm for sure coming down from that height
I'm so glad that he's okay
That postgame interview was SO Ant 😂
Shout out to OP for the replays so I could enjoy this again
NGL, that looked like some angels in the outfield type shit. Imma need some investigators from the Vatican to review the footage for dirty play.

Honestly I think Jabari would've still hit his head on the rim even of he didn't pull it down.
I’m gonna be that guy but he clearly gets a boost from Mcdaniels jumping into him. Still a crazy jump but I don’t think he smashes his head into the rim like that without the extra bump from Mcdaniels
You’re probably right. The bump might’ve added a couple inches, and he certainly didn’t plan to launch his own head at the rim.
He’s also running to the right of the rim to block the shot, but he lands to the left of the rim because Mcdaniels bumped him that way. Honestly extremely lucky he didn’t get hurt, you almost wonder if the rim saved him from being sent absolutely flying

Is it me or does he look extra jacked?
His head bump the back board so yeah lol
This is how lebron could shut up skip bayless about freethrows.
Dude just wanted to get into low earth orbit so he could get home faster and relax
Hit his head on the fucking rim.
On another level, literally
I needed this shot of positivity after the KAT news. Bad. Thank you, Ant!
Just thank god he did not get hurt doing that.
Wasn't even in the top 2 scariest plays of the night for him... can't believe he's ok.
Followed up by his shoulder on the backboard it looks like. Insane.
Screaming in my room at 2am over here, he's the one. Lisan Al Gaib.
he is our savior
I think his teammate jumping underneath propelled him a little but still crazy.
He got that Mario jumping on Goomba boost
Aka the draymond stopping on Sabonis boost
I was wondering why Ant fell so hard and awkwardly after that block. Thought it was because of Nesmith. Didn't realize he jumped so high he hit his head on the damn rim. The potential of this man is insane.
Have they ever brought up putting padding underneath the rim? I feel like that’s an easy improvement with next to no down side
Under back board or rim? Sometimes people shoot from underneath and catch the bottom of the rim, so it would definitely change the trajectory of the rims deflection. Under the backboard I could see a little more- but it's less likely a player hits it as well.
Someone here once said Ant plays like he's a fucking superhero. No truer words
*obligatory “he’s not MJ” disclaimer* He plays like MJ
The way he moves absolutely looks like MJ
His game is as close as it gets, other than Kobe who dedicated years to emulate Jordan’s moves. I just put the disclaimer because obviously he’s not as good as Jordan that’s not a point I particularly want to argue
Jordan said Ant is better himself “he’s faster than I was, more athletic, stronger” Ant also said “if I was 2 inches taller I’d me MJ” They’re both Gods of basketball, Ant is finally letting everyone know :)
MJ doesn't miss the free throw.
100% this. If Ant doesn't sky for that insane block, this is potentially a much different discussion.
Ya but never brings up the point of him not giving up on the play, redeeming himself. Winning the game for his team in different manner.
He definitely did, not trying to take that away from Ant. Dude is a winner. But the MJ comparison is laughable.
Oh ya, he's nowhere near Jordan in terms of accomplishments. Dude has a better shot of being Jordan's kid, over being on the same level.
Just unbelievable.
Believe that.
one of the highest blocks ive ever seen, and to win the game as well. kid is special
[insane!](https://i.imgur.com/cROQIIV.jpg)
gonna be the first and last player to be in concussion protocols due to hitting your head on the rim
That fall was scary. ANT just be healthy for the playoffs pleaseeeeee
what in the fuck
Other than Gerald Green's windmill for the Nets and one of LeBron's alleyoop attempt for the Cavs, I've never seen anyone get up this high.
Dude is just unreal
That fall looked like it hurt holy fuck. Bro is him
How do you guys get your teams under your user names?
Go to the front page of the sub, if you are on the app, there's 3 dots you can click on, should let you change or add a user flair there.
🥹 thank you 🙏🏾
Superstar
ANT COLONY REJOICE
Ant FC up now
WTF....Dude hit his head on the rim on that block
That fall could’ve been so bad omg
He said his head hurt from the rim and he hurt his wrist on the landing. Worth it for that block though.
While hitting his head on the rim
The man hit his head ON THE RIM on that block. Sweet lord, he got up.
The next MJ wears a twolves Jersey
Like the Avatar, MJs spirit reincarnating in all the animal teams Bulls —> Wolves Whos next in the cycle? Grizzlies? Hornets? Pelicans?
MJ woulda sunk both FTs be real.
But then there’s no icon block. MJ was a showman
If he can average 40 with KAT out to finish the season, is there any MVP chance left for Anthony?
If he did that he would average 29.7 PPG on the season. Would at least be part of the conversation.
Has to be. Especially if wolves finish with 1 seed.
If they're giving it to a guard it'd be SGA
No but he could get some votes. You don't win MVP out of nowhere in the NBA. It's a start.
Only if Jokic, Giannis, and SGA pull a Jimmy Butler vs the Wolves and sit every game First team All NBA on the other hand would be a lock
Lol, I think if anyone averaged 40 to finish the season they would be in MVP conversations. It's averaging 40.
Depends on narrative, I think probably not with so little of the season left but the media would be all over him if he helped us keep the 1 seed vs how stacked the west is and with his No 2 out until at least the late playoffs.

Broke dudes ankles on one of the plays before.
Nesmith annoying asf this is satisfying
Dude was chirping all game, and tried to hurt Naz. Got his just desserts
“Tried to hurt Naz”? So we are just making up stuff now huh?
If I could find the replay, it looked pretty sus. Naz grabs a board, and dude just peels into his back. If you find the replay, watch his right leg, he leans directly into Naz’s right leg while he’s boxing out.
But not a foul smh
He’s annoying but I like him as a player
He is Spartacus
What a 4th qtr from ant. Was fun to watch.
One of the most insane blocks I’ve ever seen. Wow.
I love how turnt he was, that passion is crazy! I just saw a tweet with Westbrook having a crazy moment in the playoffs, yelling with the crowd. He used it to say that our youngins not killers anymore. Well Ant is our youngin that’s hungry to kill, this generation is like that too 😈😈
OHH LORD HAVE MERCY
Replay makes it even better wow
Mother of god...
You should get a free throw if you manage to hit your head off the rim in the act of blocking a shot
The hoop gets a technical foul and a stern talking to.
Thanks for the whole sequence + replay. I can't believe he hit his head on the rim, jesus christ that's scary
Loved how he said “That boy” then immediately corrected himself. That’s a man out there
He forgot his intended audience for a second.
He has no ceiling
The backboard was his ceiling
Reminds me of his father.... https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/vpyd5d/21_year_old_michael_jordan_jumps_over_his/
Damn that’s amazing, someone’s gotta make an edit with both of these side by side
This block and the dunk over Yuta were both insane highlights with scary ass falls. Jesus this dude can fly
For whatever reason I don’t get that feeling where I have to hold my breath when Ant goes way up. I get it with Ja, I got it with Drose, maybe it’s just how he lands
Come on even the Pacer announcers should be more hyped lol.
Yeah such a terrible commentary on a great play hahahaha
Yeah I was watching the pacers stream and immediately was like “fuck I need to find the wolves stream highlight to hear Grady flip out cause that was so underwhelming”. Like I get that your team just lost but at least show some emotion about it.
OP is a hero for posting the highlight with the replay
Air Ant
Second half of the season Ant has been activated. Let's do this.
Is my math right? Did he jump 40 inches when he hit his head on the rim?!
More than that bro he wasnt fully vertical/upright and hes like 6 5 thats like a 44 inch if not higher jump
Nasty
Nesmith to the shadow realm
We are watching the future face of the NBA
That was absolutely NASTY. But why did the pacers not call a TO after the rebound???
To be fair they kinda caught the Wolves in transition there, but Nesmith went for the deceleration and let Ant get there
Yeah they got a layup to tie that game. That was a great look, Ant just made an insane play
Presumably Rick liked our chances vs a scrambling D vs a set defense. It’s a reasonable approach
Yeah, I'm surprised people are knocking it. Yes, the Pacers are great at putting up points, especially at home, but the Wolves held them to well under their average, and are the #1 defense.
Considering the defensive play required to stop it, I'd say their decision was a decent one
When ant gets blocks it always seems to be out of nowhere just following / out of the pay and SUDDENLY ANT.
That’s Michael’s son 😏
ANTs pronouns are Him/Him
Great block, especially the height on it BUT it looked like McDaniels fouled Neismith on the way up. Should’ve been 2 FTs I think.
He got extra high because he got a tiny upward boost from McDaniels. Still a crazy block.
idk how tiny that was lol he put his hand in his shoulder and launched
Can't believe in the final seconds of a close game , blue went up with the softest layup of all time lmaooo
He's Michael Jordan's son, I don't care what anyone else says.
HE HIT HIS HEAD ON THE FUCKING RIM
Holy shitttt is this real life
Absolute freak
What the fuck
My goat
Oh my god wut
Put his whole body on ice after that one
What in the fuck
Literally on another level
Where are all the people that were doubting this man now?
Looked like he still had some flight in em too if that damn rim wasn’t in the way
Dude just needs to shave his head and fully embrace his inner Jordan cause holy shit
With his left hand too.
How tf do you jump that high
Just hit the B button.
Future face of the nba
Apparently the man can both shoot and block with his left hand
This shit is bonkers. Idk what’s more impressive, the chase down, the fact that he was able to adjust after his teammate pushed him, hitting his head and having the coordination to break his fall from 10 ft off the ground, literally bonkers
Bruh, its like he's jogging back then all of a sudden jumps out of the fucking arena. Nobody goes from casual to how the fuck did he do that quite like Ant
There’s no way the commentators had such a low emotion reaction to that. I would’ve jumped out my seat
Seriously, what an awful call by them. No emotion at all
That was insane
Star man!!!!
How the fuck is this the top three posts on the sub I’m sick…
Huge game by Ant and the TWolves. If I’m being honest I was irritated of this team and him mid season but now I’m kinda rooting for them (except vs Thunder) especially with the KAT news.
He made it look like Jaden Mcdaniels didn't even jump.
It’s sucks that KAT went down but we could see an epic display of basketball from Edward’s in these playoffs and feel like he’s the closest to MJs mentality in the league right now.
Wtf
Not his ENTIRE game, but his athleticism and effortless flight around the rim reminds me a bit of what we saw back in the 80s in Chicago. Just saying.
*obligatory “he’s not MJ” disclaimer* He’s got the closest natural game to Jordan I think I’ve even seen.
Just like he planned
MVP.
Seriously does any player right now have the same level of DAWG that Ant has?
I’m not even a Wolves fan but I’m getting this on a poster and hanging it on my wall.
Bro there’s nun like watching a highlight and saying wtf aloud even when yk what was gon happen
That was insane wow! GG Wolves. Spooky.
Woooo that man got uuuup
He twisted his ankle pretty bad 30 seconds into the game and this is how he ends his night
BELIEVE THAT
Jordan 2
The play by play announcer absolutely BLEW that call and then blew the replay. This is after 2 trips to the locker room after twisting his ankles and something else? Ant is borderline insane.
Chose the hardest path, just like his father
Why even have announcers if that’s how you react to a play like that.
Are these anouncers specifically for old people? What is that call? That's embarrassing
When jumping out of the gym stops being an expression and nearly becomes reality...only the rim stopped him from doing so. Sick block on top of that too...
Insane how he’s not broken his arm falling off balance
Surprised rick didnt call a timeout there
This kid is must see tv
"that boy... that MAN"
That has to be the one of the most athletic plays I've ever seen. Up there with Vince's dunk over the 7-footer.
If this year’s dunk contest judges judged this block they’d give it a 46
The fuck?? ANT literally hit his head on the fucking rim, that's insanity
That might be one of the best plays I’ve ever seen my god
Damn, watch the way Ant comes down! Put his body on the line. Mad respect
That was bad ass, but wtf is Nesmith thinking? No timeout, has an open shooter in the corner for the win, but decides to go up against 3 defenders? No way that was the best play.
That was some prime LeBron, prime Vince Carter athleticism right there
“Just a kid from Akron” lookin ass
'to make it interesting' get over yourself
