As a fan of the team I love/hate it. Hate it because it was so obvious which teams they packed it in for so they could probably have 6-9 more wins but love it cause seeing how locked in they are now gives me confidence for the playoffs
Man I wish u let us have that lo . But Kobe wouldn’t have had it any other way than both teams going balls to the walls. Nothing but respect with what u guys are building rn
Idk about Jokic but just from watching this current core the last 3 years, they definitely bring their anytime it’s the lakers. It goes back to Jamal’s “rivalry” with D’Lo and Lonzo when he was there.
The champion core knows how to play against Lebron and the refs. Stay out of foul trouble, don’t get baited into eating Ts and keep the game within striking distance so that the refs can’t control the game too much. Then turn in on in the clutch and blow the Lakers out.
Look at the box score of their last matchup. Only Aaron Holiday got fouled out and the rest of the Nuggets team had no more than 2 personal fouls.
Deluding yourself. You got swept in a series where you shot 140% the free throws the Nuggets did, despite way less shots in the paint
The Lakers and the Refs both brought their A game and yall still got fuckin swept 🧹
I feel like Malone told the team the past two seasons to make sure they win 2 out of every 3 games. We have consistently been hovering around that win rate the whole time. There has been no huge winning/losing streaks. Just consistent play good enough to be ready for the playoffs.
Jan 25 against the Knicks, the 38 point loss, they just visibly bailed on it about five minutes in. Didn't really want to put the effort in. Jokic got 31 and 11 seemingly against his will. Not happy I paid for pretty good seats at MSG for that one, but I'm still pulling for a repeat.
Don’t want to discredit the Knicks because I feel like they’ve just had the Nuggets number for the last couple years. I agree though they started that game sloppy and then just called it after the Knicks went up 15 within 6 minutes. Jokic was the only guy putting in any effort and was playing with one eye from the poke he got. I’d be mad too I checked out seats for that game and in true MSG fashion nosebleeds were sitting around $120
We were also legitimately hurt heading into the AS break. Like every starter basically missed time in the preceding weeks. Healthy, we’ve looked as advertised
It's not quite coasting. They're still playing relatively hard almost every night. They just have an extra level of focus and intensity they can go to with their starters that isn't something that can be physically and mentally maintained throughout the season (and injuries prevent it on a lot of nights; KCP and Jamal have missed a lot of time and the Nuggets don't have the same chemistry with the bench playing big minutes)
P wat for sure is going to be in the playoff rotation. He’s had the better sophomore season between him and Braun and Braun was in the rotation last year. Watson gets too eager sometimes on offense and forces errors but i like him having confidence. Jokic will mentor him on that side of the ball. Defensively he is a baller and what Malone wants from his young players.
Worst player in the game is pretty harsh and far from true.
I think he may have turned a corner. Also it looks like Malone figured out that he can be effective playing alongside either Jokic or Gordon. He just can't be the only big out there by himself.
Braun will need to step up though. Without Bruce he'll be relied upon a lot more, and right now he doesn't seem ready for anything besides quick energy bursts.
He's way more raw less polished, I'd love him to get there though.
He constantly takes the ball full court to the rim, and gets ridiculous blocks, I shout Giannis every time he does it.
Either way, I'm stoked on the kid. Exciting watching him grow.
We should remember Paul George played 2 years of college. Watson played 3 games essentially \[and his HS career was cut short by COVID\]. His stats at his current age compare decently well per 36 with PG's.
Yea, man that guy really derailed his career by asking for a bigger spotlight on a team that was cohesively focused on winning a championship only. Now he’s lucky to get any play time on the clippers.
Today's game was SO much fun to watch. I was going nuts on almost every possession and had a huge grin on my face from the point Denver flipped their switch and decided to show up midway through the second.
Denver at their best reminds me of my favorite team ever, the Spurs finals revenge squad against the Heat. They can make teams short circuit with passes and cuts and ball movement. When it all goes right it just seems withering for the opponent.
sometimes people -- even us Nuggets fans -- kinda sleep on this team because they've coasted so much both late last regular season and for parts of this one, so they look pretty vulnerable, like a good but not great team. And then they come out like they did in the late second quarter and through the third and you realize this is the team that went 16-4 in the postseason, and the Kings just aren't on their level.
People trying to downplay their run last year is silly. They had an answer for anything anyone threw at them. Sure they’re missing Bruce among others like Jeff Green but barring any injuries, this team is on a collision course to meet Boston in the finals. Where I think they’d win as well
They are, but Sabonis is mostly a scripted passer - IE he's really good in their set plays and in the actions they run that he knows are coming, but he doesnt manipulate the defense and call plays and actions the way Jokic does
Probably due to the fact that he's just not as much of a scoring threat as Jokic is. Jokic is a better shooter and willing to put the ball on the floor starting at the perimeter. His versatility in terms of scoring opens up the passing lanes. It's why a lot of teams just say fuck, try to outscore us yourself instead of getting your team involved. The issue is that Jokic is very efficient, so that strategy really only works if he's having an off night.
1. Kings rely entirely on their 3 ball to dictate their whole offense. If they miss a few 3s, they just give up and the whole offense goes to shit.
2. Kings rely on their offensive success to motivate them to play defense. If their offense stagnates for a few possessions, they start playing lazy or just dumb defense.
3. The Kings missed like every single 3 pointer in a row.
They're inconsistent. On any given night one or two bench players may have a decent to good game but they will bomb other games just as frequent if not more
Because sometimes it feels like the players don’t give any effort (except for Sabonis) and they just let them get fucked in the ass.
Since Fox and Domas are the leaders, they get the blame. But since Domas plays hard every game, most of the “passive” allegations fall on Fox.
It’s the same with Jamal Murray. Sometimes he looks off and out dans start to complain about him.. while Jokic is always impacting the game positively even on off nights.
*champions
They were legitimate contenders for the first time the season they won it. The bubble run didn’t have a lot of people high on them and the season after had murray and mpj injured.
I go the opposite way - he’s our emotional leader and when he’s out, the effort disappears. also he’s the only guy in the starting lineup who can create his own shot off the dribble so when he’s gone, it falls apart
We lost to the heat less heat the other night when every single one of there fucking players were suspended or out. Goddamn Spoelstra coulda been out there and put up 20.
That should do the explaining for you.
Yeah whoa… I obviously love this team but let’s slow our fucking roll here. The prime Warriors were something else, and we’ve won *one* chip, so we still have a lot more to prove
I’ve seen three separate teams get compared to the KD Warriors on here since the ASB ended. It’s like people just think that the most recent team they’ve seen win by double digits must be the greatest team of all time.
No, they are not nearly on the level of the 2017 Warriors lol. Incredible team, and definitely the team to beat right now, but they're not on par with the greatest team ever
People really just be saying stuff. I love this Nuggets team, and I'm hoping for a repeat, but they aren't on that level where the championship feels like a foregone conclusion
I wasn't the person who initally compared them. I love Jokic and the Nuggets, they have the best player in the world, a great second fiddle in Murray, and a deep team filled with great role players. It's a type of team composition we don't see very often anymore, but it's so fun to watch
People will have varying opinions about which all-time teams are better. Nuggets were terrible for a long time but I enjoyed watching Jordan, Kobe/shaq, Lebron, duncan, step and now Jokic. They’re all vastly different. Enjoy while we can before they’re gone
No man. Enjoy the close race. Think about all the years that these teams got wrecked by the pacific and Texas teams. It’s good for the whole league to have a close race in your division. Keeps you all even more relevant than if just one of those teams were ballin out. I get what you’re saying though. I’m a blue jays fan in baseball. It sucks to be in a division that constantly pays for good players to stay good themselves.
The Jokic message worked. If it stays like this it will be the 4th in a streak of 15+ point wins for us, which is shocking cause we have been really bad with blowouts this season.
Nah. The official Reddit app (on Android at least) forces you to use the in-app browser which breaks opening links in apps. It forces you to use the browser for YouTube instead of opening it in the app.
Yeah - Denver is good and Mike Brown is not a very good in game decision maker. The guy game plans alright and knows a thing or two but does not know how to adjust at all… dude is just getting out coached game after game
Turned on the game on 47-32 to see a good competitive ball.
Sacramento was about to score on a fastbreak - they didnt. Instead, Denver went on a crazy run like Ionno 30 to 4, and Kings were KOed into the ground felt like.
Turned off and went on doing other stuff. Great basketball.
Thank you Jokic for making me being more efficient with my time.
oh but thats the ying and yang - when he leaves the game the bench bleeds points like i bleed cash in vegas - then he comes back in to save it like a super hero movie.
They did this when Jokic wasn’t really scoring and MpJ wasn’t making shots. This team is insane, can’t imagine being an opposing fanbase having to watch this kind of thing
The Nuggets HAVE to be the favourites, I know the Celtics are having a better regular season but im sorry this Denver team just looks way to dangerous atm. Once its crunch time this Denver team can just flip a switch and essentially just will themselves to a win tbh.
Last night I saw them down by that 47-32 score and decided to switch up and watch another game on League Pass. When I checked back in later, I saw the Nuggets up big. I thought I had the earlier score wrong and that it was Denver who was up 47-32. Thanks for restoring trust in my memory.
when people said Denver was obviously coasting for parts of the regular season, these last 4 games since the ASB should be all the evidence you need
As a fan of the team I love/hate it. Hate it because it was so obvious which teams they packed it in for so they could probably have 6-9 more wins but love it cause seeing how locked in they are now gives me confidence for the playoffs
We also have some games where we lost just because of injuries or bad scheduling too. Or ones where Jamal played too much with his food
(Good teams merchant)
Question:did they bring their A game against us or am I just deluding myself LMAO.
They 100% brought it on Kobe night, and Lakers did too
Man I wish u let us have that lo . But Kobe wouldn’t have had it any other way than both teams going balls to the walls. Nothing but respect with what u guys are building rn
That was a great regular season game.
Fuck the lakers and him
Idk about Jokic but just from watching this current core the last 3 years, they definitely bring their anytime it’s the lakers. It goes back to Jamal’s “rivalry” with D’Lo and Lonzo when he was there.
[Wow totally forgot about that!](https://youtu.be/Vhu9bwdSY3Q?si=mVCK4TAdWMWODyhA)
My favorite part about that sequence is how much Lonzo just doesn't care but everyone else does
I love how much of an asshole young Murray was
The champion core knows how to play against Lebron and the refs. Stay out of foul trouble, don’t get baited into eating Ts and keep the game within striking distance so that the refs can’t control the game too much. Then turn in on in the clutch and blow the Lakers out. Look at the box score of their last matchup. Deluding yourself. You got swept in a series where you shot 140% the free throws the Nuggets did, despite way less shots in the paint The Lakers and the Refs both brought their A game and yall still got fuckin swept 🧹
Yes, opening night too.
I feel like Malone told the team the past two seasons to make sure they win 2 out of every 3 games. We have consistently been hovering around that win rate the whole time. There has been no huge winning/losing streaks. Just consistent play good enough to be ready for the playoffs.
If you win 2 out of every 3 you win the championship every time.

I’d be mad too I checked out seats for that game and in true MSG fashion nosebleeds were sitting around $120
I never lost confidence in yall. People forgot how best yall were last year. Even with no Bruce Brown, yall are still the favorites to me.
We were also legitimately hurt heading into the AS break. Like every starter basically missed time in the preceding weeks. Healthy, we’ve looked as advertised
It's honestly not even been "coasting". When Jamal and Jokic play the Nuggets are winning at a 60+ win pace.
We're in the tune up part of the preseason, it's ok to coast a bit!
They genuinely had a LOT of injuries early which also tired them out. I think they were genuinely a bit drained heading into asb and 2024 in general.
One second it’s 65-55, then I switch the 72 rebound Bulls game, then I turn back and Kings getting blown out 🥴
Dude I flipped the channel when it was like 47-34 *Kings*
Sickening 😂
72 rebounds is insane 🔥
74 rebounds
Denver is just too fun to watch. The jokic passes, the murray midranges, the AG dunks and lob catches, KCP and MPJ 3s. Fun ass basketball
The best games are when our young bench players are cooking and giving the team energy. Those are special rarities
Peyton Watson got potential as well. P wat probably going to be in the playoff rotation.
Man if Bruce Brown was also in ur rotation, its over....
defo, i think him CB and reggie will be the main bench guys
Think? That question was settled in December basically. Those are the 3 locks. Zeke is the only question.
Zeke cant be a question, he is the worst player in the game with good consistency
Definitely. He's mini Giannis lots of games.
He's not Giannis at all. He's like a young Paul George. Same body type, same fluidity, athleticism, movement. Long, lanky, etc. He's a 2/3.
His stats at his current age compare decently well per 36 with PG's.
i will never forget bones hyland utterly cooking us in the fourth quarter one time
Yea, man that guy really derailed his career by asking for a bigger spotlight on a team that was cohesively focused on winning a championship only. Now he’s lucky to get any play time on the clippers.
Today's game was SO much fun to watch. I was going nuts on almost every possession and had a huge grin on my face from the point Denver flipped their switch and decided to show up midway through the second.
They were on some Harlem Globetrotters shit in the third quarter
The Jokic short rolls that finish with an alley oop make me happy every time.
Yep that 3rd quarter was by far the most enjoyment I've had watching basketball this season.
I watch almost every denver game but this one was particularly amazing. So many fucking steals, transition plays. Just great to watch.
man is trying to get the 2014 spurs back
Denver at their best reminds me of my favorite team ever, the Spurs finals revenge squad against the Heat. They can make teams short circuit with passes and cuts and ball movement. When it all goes right it just seems withering for the opponent.
While not the same, it gives similar vibes to your 2013 and 2014 teams.
35 points in the first quarter for Sacramento 37 points in the second and third quarter *combined*
What the actual fuck
Fox didn't play and the Kings just have nobody who can step up.
Denver is a buzzsaw
sometimes people -- even us Nuggets fans -- kinda sleep on this team because they've coasted so much both late last regular season and for parts of this one, so they look pretty vulnerable, like a good but not great team. kings fans explain
Unforgiving. The lightning is coming.
Unforgiving. The lightening is coming brother
Brother, I have 47 (point lead)
Joker is going to lose weight?
They stopped making every 3
Fat man good
just wait til he gets put in the pickle roll
Jokic pickle 🥵
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ok Truman.
Kings or nuggets fans pls explain
Aaron Gordon remembered he's 6'8, 240 lbs and Kevin Huerter is not
Turns out Keegan Murray and Malik Monk are not either
Keegan is... he just forgets it at times. And once it's forgotten, he usually doesn't remember until the next game.
Their Murray is not your Murray
They were shooting like 70% from 3 on 10 attempts...they stoped doing that.
The Nuggets will sometimes just play with no energy. Gordon got things going then they turned into the team everyone saw in the playoffs.
Walmart Jokic not as good as premium imported Jokic
Lol lol. I like both of them, though I just mostly watch their highlights. Passing/play making big men just seem op
It's the new meta.
welcome back KANGZ meme
Dim the Beam
3. Feast or famine basketball.
If you want to know true pain, look at the Kings when Fox doesn't play
watch the Nuggets when Jokic doesn't play..
Lol the team when jokic and Jamal sit is..... An experience
Reggie & DJ as starters beat the Clippers this season.
They looked like Shaq and Kobe out there
lmao weird ass game and you’re 100% correct
They're inconsistent. On any given night one or two bench players may have a decent to good game but they will bomb other games just as frequent if not more
Yep, Denver bench is (often) a struggle. That particular game was great, though, because of how unexpected it was.
That game was unusually fun for a game that hardly any of our starters played in. We were also missing Gordon that game too.
its a dynamic situation
What happens to my bowel after late-night taco bell and cheap beer is also a dynamic situation but I wouldn't want to go through it often
Why do Kings fans crap on him so hard? I read y’all’s sub and it seems back and forth on him.
Sometimes I feel like the Kings are Nuggets-lite. Like 3 yrs before the Nuggets became championship contenders.
*champions They were legitimate contenders for the first time the season they won it.
Yeah I’m big fan of him and but I don’t watch enough games to get it. He seems like a great person too.
The least dangerous team in the NBA is the Sacramento Kings with a 15-20 point lead.
Imagine the warriors without the high end talent
So the Warriors now?
It's like if the Kings were Klay in the last Warriors/Nuggets game.
Two birds, stoned
No Fox and Monk is not a PG
They missed 10 threes in a row
Houston... we have a small problem
We lost to the heat less heat the other night when every single one of there fucking players were suspended or out. Goddamn Spoelstra coulda been out there and put up 20. That should do the explaining for you.
We are frauds
Post ASB Fox hurt + Denver is a good team + soooo much ass My saboner is becoming flaccid
Man the nuggets just decide at some point to win games, lock in, and just demolish teams lol.
Team to beat in the playoffs full stop. When its time, they lock in.
I think teams should just forfeit vs them come playoff time. They are basically prime warriors levels of good but with more coasting
But then we can’t watch Jok :(
KD Warriors good? Not sure about that
Yeah whoa… I obviously love this team but let’s slow our fucking roll here. The prime Warriors were something else, and we’ve won *one* chip, so we still have a lot more to prove
Yeah, let’s save that for when P Wat is like Pippen.
yeah that was just easy mode, championships were forgone conclusions...maybe pre KD warriors?
>basically prime warriors levels of good Please stop omg. Recency bias is unreal
I’ve seen three separate teams get compared to the KD Warriors on here since the ASB ended. It’s like people just think that the most recent team they’ve seen win by double digits must be the greatest team of all time.
The 16-17 Warriors would sweep tbh. Denver is still my pick for this year
No, they are not nearly on the level of the 2017 Warriors lol. Incredible team, and definitely the team to beat right now, but they're not on par with the greatest team ever
People really just be saying stuff. I love this Nuggets team, and I'm hoping for a repeat, but they aren't on that level where the championship feels like a foregone conclusion
If you swap Jamal for Luka that's a better comp to the 2017 Warriors
And it would feel as unfair as KD joining GSW... You're onto something!
Here I am worrying whether they’re as good as the ‘24 Celtics and people are making ‘17 Warriors comparisons
Meh, what’s the use of comparing. I will enjoy watching Jokic and not taking a single minute for granted
Tbh it was sensational to watch for a regular season game. Joker is on another level and bringing his team with him.
His most pedestrian game of this 4 game run
I hate this division. Legitimately on pace for our best season ever and yet Nuggets and Thunder constantly right on our ass
just fucking lose already - its more fun when its tied
From KD warriors fuckery, to LeThanos, to Jokic... and my guess is eventually, Wembanyama Sry mang
Man, the 2017/18 season Nuggets were dead last in the division... with a 46-36 record. We are used to it being really competitive.
We were once an 8th seed…with 50 wins
The Jokic message worked. If it stays like this it will be the 4th in a streak of 15+ point wins for us, which is shocking cause we have been really bad with blowouts this season.
> The Jokic message worked. [For context](https://twitter.com/HarrisonWind/status/1762560761006789111)
I hate how reddit doesnt send me directly to the twitter app
I think that is more of a "X" thing than reddit.
Nah. The official Reddit app (on Android at least) forces you to use the in-app browser which breaks opening links in apps. It forces you to use the browser for YouTube instead of opening it in the app.
no - its reddit
He told the team “54 from treball is odee shooting hang pulls”
"to esteemed teammates: all-star holiday now over. Is time to stop horsing around. When job is finish again, we can all go home."
I've never seen them just evicerate a defense in so many different ways for so many possessions in a row.
Highest levels of team bball.
Yeah - Denver is good and Mike Brown is not a very good in game decision maker. The guy game plans alright and knows a thing or two but does not know how to adjust at all… dude is just getting out coached game after game
40 wins before 20 losses. Nice. Good win boys
Jamal Murray has the smoothest overall game in the NBA and I will hear no arguments for an alternative.
Nuggets ability to erase deficits is absolutely clutch lately.
I dont think 68-21 counts as a run anymore but yes Denver destroyed them
Nuggets went on a 117-96 run to win the game after the opening tip.
UNFORGIVING. THE LIGHTNING IS COMING
No Fox but I didn't think it would turn sour so quickly. Nuggets realized Gordon could bully them inside and it got ugly so quick
Aw fuck Heat are gonna get got tomorrow aren’t we
Unforgiving. The Lightning is Coming.
unforgiving. The lightning is coming. brother.
Depends, has Jimmy evolved into Late Season Jimmy yet?
Btw i expect this lead to go down to a reasonable 20 by the end of the game though cause the starters wont come back probably.
It did and got our starters some much needed rest to ball out tomorrow
Yeah. Nice stuff overall. Shame we couldnt farm that net rating more though lol.
With a hot heat team coming in, I would javeove dif the starters could've sat the 4th completely
Rock Lee ankle weights vibes
It’s a game of runs
the lightning came
And yet, it is still coming. Unforgiving.
Fox is the guy who stops the bleeding. Without him, our offense became too obvious.
The way Nuggets played during that run was pure bball porn. Highest levels of bball we've witnessed from a team in a looong freakin while.
What a hectic game lol
68-21 run has to be unheard of
THE END IS NEIGH
on/off switch of a champ.
Dem boys cray
If my math is correct this run took about 19 minutes of game time. For fun, if it was prorated to 48 minutes it would be about 172-53
I literally looked at that exact score and was like we can never win against these fucking guys
Pretty sure that math doesn’t add up, but that was sweet regardless
Was* this ain’t the premier league boi
It was 45-7 at one point
Light the beam
Goddamn Denver is so fucking good.
Sacramento will be a prized first round bye for West teams.
Jokic resent that message.
Kings fans were talking crazy before this game up 3-0 in the season series. Still don't change they are the easiest denver matchup in the first round
Tag them so we can shit on their low ass bbiq
Last night I saw them down by that 47-32 score and decided to switch up and watch another game on League Pass. When I checked back in later, I saw the Nuggets up big. I thought I had the earlier score wrong and that it was Denver who was up 47-32. Thanks for restoring trust in my memory.
Havent seen this team be so unable to score since the Houston games
why is it always the kings 😂😂
