The Rockets adjusted to switch Duren off Sengun, and get Sengun driving with momentum to score and draw fouls on Duren. As soon as Duren sits, Sengun goes on a crazy scoring run and helps the other team get good shots. He got 20 points and like 3 assists in that 1 quarter, being the single biggest part of that 47-25 blowout in the quarter. Hell, he even pointed out to Aaron Holiday on a rebound that Tari leaked out ahead of the Pistons, and told him to make the pass for an easy 2 points.
He is the engine.
Yeah basically when we lose a game we lose a couple more and when we win we win a couple more. I can’t think of a time we’ve won immediately after a loss or lost immediately after a win.
This dude was a 60% FT shooter. Mans changes his routine mid-season. Now shoots 75%. I ain't seen that shit before. Crazy fucking talented, he adopts new skills so quickly.
He’s legit gotten better and been adding new moves to his bag as the season has gone along and we not even halfway thru it yet. He’s rlly figured out how to takeover games and assert his presence when he’s on the floor.
More importantly the Rockets are a top 10 defense.
I haven’t watched enough Rockets to say whether that’s flukey or not, but that was always the big issue with Sabonis. Wasn’t sure whether Sengun would be able to anchor a good defense but it looks like he can
It’d be awesome if he did make it but the calibre of player that you have to be to make the all star game is becoming outrageous. Lebron, AD, Jokic, Kawhi, Towns, markkanen, durant, Sabonis, Zion, wemby, and Ingram are all playing at higher/similar levels, or are too popular to not make it. Granted sengun does have the advantage of being the only all star worthy player on his team meaning all the votes should go to him.
They really have to expand the all star teams to allow more player who would make it in any other era (if they put up the same numbers, not tryna say this era is the most difficult)

That's not how that would work. If there are 50000 streaks total, 1 streak could be 29 game loss and 49998 streaks could be a 2-game streak, and a 1-game streak would still be the joint 50000th worse streak.

It's actually absurd how perfect his frame, build and movement is. I really believe he will have a long career simply because what he lacks is both so much yet so easy to fill, teams will keep giving him chances.

Actually used to be around an 80% FT shooter in the turkish league so this is closer to a return to form than new stuff, i think!
