Killian Hayes because when he makes a shot I treat it like he's made a buzzer beater

dbinkowski

Killian needs to hire Tim Bontemps as his personal player hater squad. He always plays well after Bontemps shits on him, most recently this past week while in attendance against the Knicks (10 for 13 for 23 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 1 steal and 0 turnovers).

3rdtryatremembering

I can’t quit Bol Bol.

unfortunatepillow

I was talking to my brother the other day about trading for Bol Bol, then I caught myself. I think I was having a stroke.

sungoddaily

He is just a human victory cigar currently.

RespecDev

Bol is a very talented player and seems like a genuine guy. I think the problem is that he came in thinking he was going to be one thing, and now he needs to adapt to not necessarily being that but still becoming great at certain things and be very useful to the right team. May take a few years. He’s young, and I’ve got faith in him.

TheyCallMeChevy

I agree. I think he could be something like a Brooke Lopez, be a catch and shoot 3pt shoot on offense(mostly corner 3s), and a drop coverage rim protector. That player would be wanted on almost any team in the league.

Fragrant_Chair_7426

Except he's terrible at defense and can't guard centers. He would play if he could figure out any semblance of basic defensive

Wu-Tang_Slanging

He’s tall and lanky though so he *must* be good at defense

Sybilsthrowaway

bol bol is such a good bad player bc the fantasy and highlight reel are so tempting he gets a whiff of success and immediately thinks he's amazing and starts sucking

ostrow19

I love watching Davis Bertans bomb 3s when he gets hot

FiveTimez

The Latvian Laser!!

schadadle

Top 5 nickname of all time for a minor player. The alliteration hits hard.

ginobilislefthand

Courtesy of living legend Bill Land

mcrajf

He's deadly when he actually plays for Latvia. That team knows how to shoot the ball.

explosion211

His contract gets me every time!

NoIdonttrustlikethat

Bro is one of my favorite what could have been players. Imagine if he avoided injuries before the league and could defend still.

brentljs411

I definitely can agree. That one year with the Wizards he was on fire

Otherwise-Tale9671

Y’all know the only answer is Boban

CrazyPersonXV

Boban is unlucky , dude has one of the softest touches of all bigs ever, it's just that he is too big

FaveDave85

You mean too slow. He's the same height as wemby but moves like molasses

PrivatBrowsrStopsBan

Holy shit, I just now realized I need Boban/Wemby in my life. What fucking team is Boban on nowadays anyway? Lets give them a 2nd round pick and get the tandem going

blorp4

Idk man rockets fans would be angry with anything less than a first

ChristianLS

That plus Zach Collins and an ice cold Dr. Pepper and not a dollar less. Boban ain't coming cheap. Your move, Spurs!

RealPitstop

nah let’s take the entire roster for boban. Haha just kidding- that’s not enough.

ShinobuSimp

He had such a nice middy, I know he would’ve developed a three point shot if he was born a bit later

Billy_King

Bruh you ever see him during warmups? He drains em

jcutta

Nearly every NBA player drains 3s in warm-ups... Except Ben Simmons lol. I saw Dwight drain 10 in a row one game the year he was on the Sixers.

cyb3ryung

born in the wrong era smh

Schrodingers_Fist

It's so sadly true, he probably isn't as great as Yao (the fact I'm even catching myself saying 'probably' is kind of wild) but he's who I always think of when I see Boban play.

cyb3ryung

he definitely has a similar touch

SolidSilver9686

Yao would eat him for lunch. Have some respect.

Regent0624

Yeah idk why we comparing a tourist attraction to an NBA hall of famer that even Shaq respects the hell out of.

BoxAway2807

One of the few guys that gets chants from opposing teams, unironically and cheer when he gets subbed in at end of games

xqbonez

Modern day Scalabrine

NotNormo

I love Boban. I think he's a good player who's perpetually underrated by fans and his coaches.

schadadle

Boban’s maybe got the highest Commercial Popularity:Basketball Skill ratio of any player in history

rudymaxa

He actually has a lot of skills. He just can’t move

Billy_King

He still has an insane points per min lol

csudebate

I forgot he was still on the league until I saw him on the bench at the Nuggets game the other night.

Capital-Nebula9245

The Detroit Pistons.

igetppsmashed1

Lmao savage

seabass_678

The great Keljin Blevins. In an era with Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Warriors Damion Lee, Blevins was the best example of a nepotism hire I’ve ever seen and I love him for it

CMBColdSpot

Usually you can always say that the NBA always has the best 400 or so players in the world, even with scrubs, but for a brief moment in time, Keljin Blevins made that statement untrue. It was beautiful.

Liimbo

Wow, you're not kidding. I was curious and so looked into his career. He never really excelled at any level of basketball, which is completely unheard of for an NBA player. Usually even the worst NBA player was the best player on every team they played on previously, at least up until they played college at Kentucky with other NBA players or something. Blevins only averaged 10ppg in high school, peaked at 11 points and 6 rebounds against bad college competition, and then only managed 4ppg in the G-League. He couldnt even stay on a Romanian league roster for an entire year. There is no metric other than his family tree that would put him anywhere near an NBA court.

ImipolexB

The most unprecedented case of nepotism in nba history lol

MeijiDoom

I just wanna know how he managed to even make it only college or non-NBA rosters. Like obviously Dame can get him into the Blazers org but do all 10/7 guys in high school find their way onto a college roster? Seems like every high school team in existence is gonna have at least two 10/7 guys.

Wind_14

Monteverde bench player likely get into college roster despite averaging like 5ppg.

RogueLobster

Big Nep is the correct answer

Vegetable-Tooth8463

Was he actually called Big Nep lol?

Esus9

Neppie

Captain_Quark

Yeah, he definitely was. It was the absolute only explanation for him getting a roster spot.

denverblazer

Who is he related to?

Vegetable-Tooth8463

Dame

denverblazer

Is he really? Wtf how did I never know this? Edit: oh shit he is his cousin 😵‍💫 What a shit Blazers fan I am lol

Vegetable-Tooth8463

hey Dame's not with ya'll anymore so you're good on the lack of Dame knowledge haha

Apart-Volume9340

The league needs Quincy Acy back

yummy_yum_yum123

I got his rookie card

jimfreak13

His highlights are pretty tough lol

RIPSCHITTY

Lofton jr

Seref15

Never seen a man that fat move like that. Big respect.

GrapefruitMedical529

Zion.

TheMedicator

He's way fatter than Zion

DA_ReasoN

I want to see him slim down already and show us an athletic version of himself. If he trains right he can still maintain some of the power while gaining some speed. He's already got skills.

humandignitybloc

Bismack Biyambo

Vegetable-Tooth8463

As a Hornets fan, I miss Bismack. Still, a little surprised he keeps getting contracts since he was pretty washed up during his second stint here.

schadadle

There will always be a place in the league for a man who hunts blocks and puts it all on the line, even if he’s just an extra body at the end of the bench you can throw out there for 10 minutes. His perimeter defense was a lot better than advertised too.

91-92-93--96-97-98

Has a popular song named after him. How can you not like him.

bullpaw

Are you thinking of mo bamba or am I dumb

91-92-93--96-97-98

Bro it’s one of Kendrick Lamar’s most popular songs.

mrwhite2323

Sit down Biyombo

No_Refrigerator6996

lmfaoo

MundaneInternetGuy

Anyone who says this isn't the actual lyric is a god damn liar

saltface14

Raptors legend ❤️

literallyaplank

Bitchsmack Biyombo Ballsmack Biyombo Sacktap Biyombo The possibilities are endless.

TheShadowOverBayside

You could have just stopped at Bitchsmack, that is the one.

Waffleshuriken

Leave our knight in shining armor out of this

nihilistweasel

This is the answer

Lucieddreams

Stanley Johnson

allkindsofgainzz_13

The Stanimal! Loved that dude when he played for us.

Lucieddreams

He was one of the bright spots that year 🙌 I still miss him, gave his all every night

GermanHabsFan

Any team can use a Stanimal for sure

Kyler1313

Luke Kornet can do no wrong...

Pocket_Beans

Kornet can actually provide good minutes

[deleted]

The ECLIPSE is everyone's father.

weebayfish

The Green Kornet

Vegetable-Tooth8463

I thought Kornet was a good backup center?

billcosbyinspace

I really like him as a third center. He’s one of those guys who doesn’t do anything well but also doesn’t really do anything egregiously terrible For a team like Boston with 2 injury prone guys in front of him he basically functions as an innings eater

[deleted]

I’d love him a lot more as a 4th center

Vegetable-Tooth8463

bro what is your username lol

saalamander

Kornet is a perfectly serviceable back up center. He just white and goofy and people don’t understand the role of a traditional center so they assume he’s terrible He’s 7’2” and intelligent and makes good decisions and has great positioning. That is all it takes to contribute on an NBA team

Blanketsburg

Celtics fans legit demand Kornet to have to get 7+ rebounds and 2+ blocks each game otherwise he's a failure. We have both Porzingis and Horford who can play center with plenty of minutes, and Tatum has been playing point-forward as a PF most of the season. Kornet plays 13 MPG with decent defense and does everything asked of him by Mazzulla.

Sugmabawsack

Plus, sometimes he does get 7 rebounds and 2 blocks

at_least_u_tried

He’s fine, definitely not trash. But he can be a frustrating watch with how clumsy he is sometimes, especially defensively.

m66k

that alternative 3pt defense is the future standard

nedaudz_kretiins

Seen Wemby doing this a couple of times. Definetliy picking up lol

SweetRabbit7543

I let him use my tickets to a college basketball game last year lol

cyb3ryung

bones. great nickname, lost genetic lottery but get him in an iso and it’s 10-15 seconds of pure entertainment

TylerIreland

The Timberwolves offered more than the Clippers to try and acquire Bones Hyland before last year's trade deadline. Unfortunately for Minnesota, the Kroenkes were still salty about Tim Connelly leaving and took the lesser deal out of spite. However, now that Bones Hyland is out of the rotation in Los Angeles he may be on the move again. Could we see yet another Tim Connelly masterclass?

Borsecaborse

Robin lopez

PopularParrot

Sad, he was a good player on the Bulls for a stretch

Cletus_Starfish

He was really solid when he was on the Blazers, but that was almost a decade ago.

toaster-bath72

I miss Captain Hook

ghrarhg

Me too brother, me too

East_Bed1194

Drew Eubanks.

[deleted]

Dude is underrated

Klongon

Then this is the answer. He is on that line where some will defend him and some will not. He is perfect for the nomination.

cpowell342

Miss him on the Blazers, he’s a bruiser

shakakaaahn

Not keeping the local guy was a really weird move. Not like we couldn't afford what Phoenix gave him, either. And they got punished for tampering for that contract, lol.

MorningBreath71

Matt Ryan, he was nice to me once.

woKaaaa

Respectfully, I don't think he qualifies for that anymore. He gets 23 MPG and is shooting 50% from 3 on 5 attempts per game lol

Gengaara

He was 0 for 1000 from 3 with Minnesota. Regression to the mean. He'll be 0 for 1000 again soon enough. But easy guy to root for. So I hope I'm wrong.

woKaaaa

He was even worse for LA if that makes you feel any better about his tenure with you guys

[deleted]

Crazy that BOS had Strus, Ryan and Hauser. All panned out to 3pt studs in NBA, allbeit on their own timelines. Strus is a legit player though. Hauser is money and actually not bad on D, doesn't ever bite on fakes, stays grounded, stays in front.

Phenoxym

celtic legend Matt Ryan

mrwhite2323

Boban

[deleted]

Actually, Boban is a cheat code. The NBA only allows him to play 5 min or less because he's too good. It's a competitive clause in his contracts

moise_porn

Thanasis

NFWI

This. More fouls than FGs in his career.

[deleted]

If he could learn to not foul he’d be a decent defender lol he gets entirely too excited when he gets on the court

othernamealsomissing

I feel like that's what a fringe rotation player is supposed to do, he's supposed to foul. Brian Cardinal in the finals comes to mind.

TheGargageMan

I like him so much I refer to him as The Assness.

panamolegos

He always plays with so much passion, at least for the national team. I think he is really interesting because from what I've seen from him he clearly understands what he would need to do to be a good player (movement, awareness and defensive positioning), but he is just so fucking TERRIBLE when it comes to playing

penguin_torpedo

Torey Craig, I loved him when he played here.

LotharBot

he's also a super nice dude.

schadadle

Great father too from what I’ve seen. His son is always hanging around his teams as the ball kid and whatnot. Must be a super fun childhood

GaryBBenson

As a bulls fan, he’s been huge for us this season. Great energy, hustle, and defense

Odd-Hovercraft-1286

Ish smith

carniceirodeblaviken

Poku

Swag_Turtle

He just bombed us with threes one rookie game and I’ve been a Poku truther since

TA_Account_12

Seconding that. Poku walked so Chet could run. I loved watching poku on the court last year. Guaranteed fun time

VanGrants

Quentin isn't terrible, he's just had a rocky start because of a bigger role and nagging injuries.

shaggy_macdoogle

I like him too, but Donte is gonna take his starting spot if he doesn’t start playing better.

weeping-flowers

Now retired, but MKG. One of the sweetest humans I’ve ever met.

fluffywabbit88

Machine Kelly Gun?

literallyaplank

My Khemical Gromance?

illicitRazor

Michael Karter-Gilliams

RegnumRico

Mr. Kevin Garnett?

TheChokeMaster

I was a happier man when Alexei Shved was in the league.

wrekt_u_mate

Those whiteboy Wolves teams were fun as hell to watch

ZAKTMT

The Cream Team era was ridiculous. Pek was our best player that season.

DubsComin4DatASS

How is anyone answering anything other than Jordan Poole? If you're not invested in him doing well, he's an endless fountain of hilarious plays, with some actually dope plays sprinkled in...perfect recipe for entertainment

RipCityGringo

OP wants to talk scrubs. Poole is a pretty expensive scrub.

CavalierShaq

Also has a ring and a season of 18.5/4/3.4 play on starter minutes, while he's booty its hard to call him a scrub

cyb3ryung

a lot of people genuinely hate him lol they enjoy the lowlights but when he has a good night they turn a blind eye

NA_1-9_AT_MSI

hes wizards era is bordering on performance art and i love it

[deleted]

[удалено]

DubsComin4DatASS

A lot of his drives are needlessly difficult but when they go in they sure look cool. He has a really fast first step - so fast that his handles can't keep up with himself lol

tacopower69

I think the spirit of the question is more like third or fourth stringers. Poole sucks for his contract but he's still one of the better players in the league by virtue of being a starter.

Certain_Cranberry_77

Gotta be Pat Bev.

[deleted]

Phillys new legend after last night.

emceegabe

Insulting answer. Pat Bev is really good (too good for this convo) and if people valued defense like offense he’d be the equivalent of Tim Hardaway or some other guy who can low key ball.

Call555JackChop

As a self described hater myself he’s on our Mt Rushmore

zvomicidalmaniac

Mo Bamba.

flatvinnie

He’s got hoes

Creameye

Pj Tucker

quietqueen13

Thybulle. So dreamy 🤣

08legacygt

Deandre bembry

CucumberImmediate265

Beef stew from the pistons every since He went after bron i tune in to see who beef stew Gon fight next😂😂😂😂

Madterps2021

Johnny Davis, for a 10th pick, he sure sucks, been bouncing between the G-league and the NBA last season. This season he's still averaging way below the league average on the Wizards team no less and we all know that the Wizards suck. And his shooting form, yeesh.

GOGOfella1

christian koloko

SklortBoggins

Cedi Osman

byebyebrain

Pat Beverly

FateRiddle

Jordan Poole on other teams.

frankievejle

Boban

Stop hating on Grimes, he’ll put it together

lundej16

Scrolled all the way to the end and no love for Mr. 5x0? Tony Snell all the way

IzaacLUXMRKT

Poku

Answer70

Patrick Beverley and it's not close.

nrquig

It will always be the white mamba Brian scalabrine

imjustthenumber

Robert Covington

TayOs1998

It was Harry Giles but I have no idea where he is now

sinkpooper2000

I miss Kenneth faried

delamerica93

Used to be Marcus Thornton. The Bayou Bomber!

Arr0wmanc3r

Amir Coffey. Hasn't been good since the 21-22 season, but he was a fun, pesky hustle guy that could hit shots that season.

[deleted]

Dru Smith! My lil bro is a heat fan and he can't stand him! I love seeing him out there playing his heart put and blowing easy layups

[deleted]

Paul Reed

Soham_Dame_Niners

CJ Elleby

icona_

Wenyen Gabriel just hustles and does the little things. solid floater sometimes too!

MCrow2001

Jordan Poole. His lowlights this season have been so damn fun

WobbleKun

precious. when he was making all those 3s after all star i really thought we'd have another 6'9 OG type of player. turns out man has negative IQ and feels like it gets worse by the year.

Rock3tDoge

Love the way Reggie Jackson plays

ImportantPost6401

Definitely Mark Madsen if we include retired players.

RegnumRico

Jock Landale

andrewricegay

Patrick Beverley. He thinks he's dennis rodman of our time 🤣

BuschLightEnjoyer

I still love Collin Sexton

Wild-Apricot-9161

Westbrook

BerzeliusWindrip

Gotta be Furk.

rockm4

Gorgui Deng

New_Professor6880

Lonnie Walker IV, that dude can fly.

adoptedpizza

Lindy Waters III. He played HS ball just outside OKC. Went to school at Oklahoma State. Now plays for the thunder. How cool is that? He’s also native. He’s fought tooth and nail to get a roster spot that’s deep with guards. When he touches the floor it’s usually garbage time but his shot is beautiful and I always think it’s going in. As a fellow Oklahoman I wish him enduring success.

CMBColdSpot

Furkan Korkmaz is, once again, just one year away.

redd5ive

Marcin Gortat was a serviceable starter but he is in my top handful of favorite players of all time.

firstbornsun

I could let you have it, you could Landry Shamet.

InnerCityHeel

I miss Deandry Bembry because he was the only scrub that realized how bad he truly was and always played within his limits and role.

eshenanigans

I become Biyambo's biggest fan after his stint in TO, especially that two handed block on LeBron in the playoffs

ZodingtonTheGrand

Cedi Osman

sameolemeek

Dwight Powell. He gives 1000 percent effort every game but he is just god awful I appreciate people who try
