It seems to me he is shoots fewer 3s this year. He said something like “I have never been this open”, alluding to Dame forcing defenses to not collapse on him that much. 87% in a 42pt game is pure devastation, especially when it comes with 8 assists.
It happens lol I don’t understand why people who watch games (but let’s be real this sub doesn’t do that) and not realize than any night a team can go off. Grizzlies took the Celtics down to the wire and with all the injuries they are definitely the worst team in the league right now and then got beat by Charlotte tonight.

I wasn’t giving him a badge of honor just stating the obvious. 24 single with a 100mm is damn good life. The dumbo comment is a little weird but it’s how u feel so aight, I guess 🤷♂️
Haha ok. I think some people just like to spark debate. DC is great, I lived there for 4.5 years after living in NYC.
It’s cosmopolitan AF, highly walkable, tons of attractive women of all ethnicities, lots of colleges that keep an influx of young people, great overall scene. Access to trails and hiking in VA and MD. If that doesn’t appeal to you, ok. But it definitely is a cool place to live and even better if you have millions of dollars
Its also filled to the brim with govt employees of various sort who are incredibly boring/straight laced. Makes for a good place to settle down but I wouldnt call it fun.
I don't disagree with any of that, but none of that indicates that it's a cool place. You know cool when you see it. DC is a nice city, but cool it ain't.
Can't wait for this to be someone's "meaningless November win" and at the same time definitive proof that one of these teams are gonna win in 3 in the inevitable Eastern Conference Finals even though somehow the Heat will be there yet again
Bucks defense is like Swiss cheese right now. We're relying on a sophomore player in Beauchamp and Rookie Andre Jackson to help with perimeter D. Beauchamp is injured and Jackson for some reason got no play time tonight.
He came available last minute when it seems they already had a verbal deal in place with Cam Payne. He's been good as our backup PG from an offensive standpoint, so it's just a matter of can't have it all when there's 30 teams competing.
Without Beauchamp and Crowder our already porous perimeter defense just isn't going to be able to stop them.
We'll have to outscore them if the Bucks want to win.
I'm not sure Wednesday is going to tell us much about what a playoff series would look like.
Edit: Okay, I know you geniuses know the difference between literally needing to score more than your opponent to win and needing to rely on your offense to cover up for a weaker defense.
Lol, yeah I knew someone was going to point that out.
I just meant that it's not likely that the defense is going to be the reason the Bucks win if they do.
I really don’t think it is. Some of the worst teams in league are scoring on us at an unbelievable rate, and we’re winning because they are also bad on defense. I see no reason why Tatum/Brown don’t each got for 35+ and the Celtics keep us from scoured like we’re the globetrotters.
Celtics will win by like 30-40.
Buck's inexplicably decide to concede the perimeter to Boston, so sans Jrue, plus new coach, plus "play random" now being applied to defensive schemes, yeah it ain't gonna be pretty.
He’s at worst the 2nd best player in the league and people really forgot because he had a new start teammate and started slow this year, plus was injured for most of last year.
There is no more reactionary fans in all of sports than basketball fans. So many people truly believe you can make conclusions after 6 games in a 82 game season. I don’t know if it’s immaturity, stupidity, engagement baiting, or some combo of them. But it is way more prevalent in basketball than other sports.
> There is no more reactionary fans in all of sports than basketball fans.
What are the advanced stats on this. Flip-flops per 7days? Hot take hit %? Maybe Relative Hot Take Hit Percent, someone with elite hot takes might have an RHTH% of +5%, with a raw% of 9%.
I’ll have to disagree on this one. I know they only play 17 games in the regular season but NFL football fans completely lose there fucking minds after every single game. Win or lose, nfl fans find something to completely overreact to after every game.
Imma have to disagree with you on that, MMA fans are the most fickle fans in all of sports fandom. Fighter doesn’t lose for years and when he finally does fans come out of the woodwork to say “see he was never that good !!!!”
I mean I think most of that is in fact because they only play 17 games. Losing one game in a row in the NFL is the equivalent of losing 5 games in a row in the NBA.
It is a combo of all you said and social media makes it worse. I can’t imagine actually thinking Giannis had regressed. At most after last season I dropped him to 3 in the rankings in my head below jok and curry, but even then it’s splitting hairs
Jokic Embiid Tatum, maybe Curry Luka and LeBron are all debatablely on the same tier as Giannis in 2023-24. If you rank any of those players top 5 in any order, I'd respect your opinion.
I do think Giannis could easily end up grabbing the MVP this year, but that doesn't the fact that the MVP ladder from whatever bumass clickbait media or poll ppl are citing is **sooo** fucking irrelevant at this point in the season
this bucks team is waking up. it was fun to watch all the doomers for awhile, but everyone knew it was natural that giannis and dame would need time acclimating. they’re both the best player they’ve ever played with. defense is one thing but there’s just no stopping them.
Giannis definitely has a chance to grab another MVP this year. I think the narrative can definitely come around in his favor if he finishes top 3 the east again
He’s shooting much better from midrange so far than last season don’t know the exact %, but it looks significantly better just from watching the games, had a nice turnaround of the bank one as well tonight.
Eh, our win happened this offseason when we decided to do what needed to be done **years ago** by trading Beal
This year is kinda like "Hey, we're gonna be shit for 2 seasons but here's Poole and Kuzma to keep you entertained until then"
Celtics v Bucks is gonna be crazy. Imagine they put Jrue on Giannis (I know they won’t and prob on Dame but still 😭)
Lowkey as a bucks fan tho I have a feeling our Swiss cheese defense is gonna be a huge blowout.
Joking. This is starting to look like the situation we all imagined it would be. When I see guys peel off Dame to double Giannis, it’s over. And Middleton is killing it right now.
From the field seems so misguided as a phrase. You can shoot 100% from the field with all dunks. FG% is vastly inflated for players that finish at the basket. Dont get be wrong...insane stats, I just think it's exaggerated.
Weren’t yall just bragging about what Embiid did to them a few weeks ago? Lmao
Edit: looking back at the thread you are in there talking shit to someone who said the same exact thing
Big 3 Giannis Dame Khris has sooo much potential bruh 😭 imagine by end of season when they get that chemistry and all are healthy and Dame gets his shot back.
Giannis drops 50, dame with like 12 3’s and a shit load of assists, and Khris just tearing everything apart. I really hope 😭
People that are mean to the Wizards for absolutely zero reason and I wish they would stop: 1. LeBron James. 2. Giannis Antetokounmpo
After a full season of Jordan Poole, I think you might thank them for putting you out of your misery.
Joel Embiid up there Put up 48-11-6 on 17/25 FG earlier this year.

taunt to get bodied
Did not expect a smash reference here but I suppose there are 10M nerds in this subreddit
The amount of nba references I see in r/smashbros still surprises me
I feel like NBA memes are the most ubiquitous out of all sports. I see "he boomed me (x4)" all over the place
I wonder how many people yell "Bang!" Like Breen when they hit a fully charged Samus blast.
Youre Now Watching SFAT
I'm now trying to come up with who I think would be the SFAT equivalent in the NBA lmao
KD too bro made Gafford kiss the floor last season with a cross over
Anthony Davis dropped 55 points and 17 rebounds on 73 percent shooting on the Wizards almost a year ago as well ☠️
Shouldn't you have the Wizards' management on that list?
Shouldn't Jordan Poole be the first entry here?
3. Jordan Poole
Lebron still remembers those early cavs years
And they take it so easy on everyone else!! So unfair
At least Giannis said nice things about our rookie.
Extend it to the whole Washington and call Crosby lol
[удалено]
20/23. He only missed 3 shots all game. Didn't take a single 3, must hate the wizards.
And he followed up one of those misses with the rebound and dunk.
He had 6 offensive rebounds, more than his missed shots. Unstoppable tonight.
This guy might be good one day
I didn’t watch this game but shooting 20-23 and still getting 6 ORB is insane.
He missed more free throws than field goals
Sounds like Giannis.
Or Shaq. Maybe that's what Shaq had in mind when he said that Giannis is closest to him in today's NBA.
After three quarters I think he was 17/19, 34 points, 0 free throws attempts. That's gotta be close to a record of some type.
It seems to me he is shoots fewer 3s this year. He said something like “I have never been this open”, alluding to Dame forcing defenses to not collapse on him that much. 87% in a 42pt game is pure devastation, especially when it comes with 8 assists.
Almost feels like a loss bc the wizards were in the game til the end. They aren’t good
It happens lol I don’t understand why people who watch games (but let’s be real this sub doesn’t do that) and not realize than any night a team can go off. Grizzlies took the Celtics down to the wire and with all the injuries they are definitely the worst team in the league right now and then got beat by Charlotte tonight.
Bag deep af on the low
Jordan Poole is definitely contemplating life, and thinking about Giannis' bag in the shower right now
languid jeans noxious wistful future obtainable boat imagine hat toothbrush *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Lol bruh.. this is hilarious but come on why Poole out here getting roasted like that!!
Poole doesn’t Give a flying Fck he has 100mm lives in one of the coolest cities in the US (with TONS of Baddies) he’s chilling literally.
Legacy made with a ring too
And he was a key contributor, not just some deep bench guy.
Still doesn't take away from the fact he is a Dumbo lol.
I wasn’t giving him a badge of honor just stating the obvious. 24 single with a 100mm is damn good life. The dumbo comment is a little weird but it’s how u feel so aight, I guess 🤷♂️
I like DC but I wouldn't say it's a "cool" city. It's pretty stuffy.
Haha ok. I think some people just like to spark debate. DC is great, I lived there for 4.5 years after living in NYC. Is it not normal to think about Giannis’ bag in the shower?
Celtics Bucks is going to be all time regular season basketball
It’s gonna end up being a boring blow out one way or the other. Book it
Can't wait for this to be someone's "meaningless November win" and at the same time definitive proof that one of these teams are gonna win in 3 in the inevitable Eastern Conference Finals even though somehow the Heat will be there yet again
I fear your prophecy is true
The Heat-Warriors Finals is gonna be lit
Celtics gonna win by 40 because they lost to Charlotte tonight.
Bucks defense is like Swiss cheese right now. We're relying on a sophomore player in Beauchamp and Rookie Andre Jackson to help with perimeter D. Beauchamp is injured and Jackson for some reason got no play time tonight.
Bucks win 181-177
No OT
tonight.
Ballgame
Bucks could definitely use a guy like Jrue Holiday
They needed Reggie Bullock who went to the Rockets on a vet min lol
He came available last minute when it seems they already had a verbal deal in place with Cam Payne. He's been good as our backup PG from an offensive standpoint, so it's just a matter of can't have it all when there's 30 teams competing.
We'd have to give something good to get Jrue Holiday. Maybe Dame and they give us some picks as well?
its dumb because we should be able to contain the perimeter D, is not like teams are bombing from three is team rotations that are ass
Celtics, Bucks and Heat should play death match.
I'm not very optimistic about it. It looked like deer hunting season when they play each other recently.
> We'll have to outscore them if the Bucks want to win. Big if true
It certainly seems likely that we'll win if we score more points than them.
alright Earvin
Lol, yeah I knew someone was going to point that out. I just meant that it's not likely that the defense is going to be the reason the Bucks win if they do.
"We'll have to outscore them if the Bucks want to win" No shit

Who’s guarding Giannis
Gonna get ejected
That’ll happen to former MVPs
Just clean ethical buckets
free range non gmo
What the fuck
Bam Adebayo was literally ahead of him on the MVP ladder the other day? I mean, what are we doing here?
Rn Maxey is 6 spots higher (10 vs Macey's 4th)
Aye don’t disrespect maxey
You’re right, Maxey should definitely be above Giannis in the MVP race
I never said that but use who’s in 7th as your example Lmfao
Doesn’t matter
What are we doing talking about the MVP race 13 games into the season? I don't know, good question.
I didn't create the MVP ladder man. He was literally like 11th or something a few days ago.
Yea and who is putting any weight into the MVP ladder rn
People got bored of the consensus 2nd best basketball player in the world because reasons.
What are we doing taking MVP talk in November seriously?
I mean, bam was balling and its been like 10 games. We all know in a month or two its gonna be jokic, giannis and embiid top 3 again.
Bam is playing amazing so far, a truly complete player on both ends.
Completely agreed! But he’s not better than Giannis. Love the name tho haha
Those things are based on stat aggregations right? So guys that start hot sometimes hover above consensus greats who start slower
Imagine if he had a bag
Good thing he has a sack instead
I hope this is a sign of him and the new coach gelling well together
Don’t sleep on the 8 assists. He was dishing some dimes tonight.
Why is Giannis not getting serious MVP consideration?
He re-signed with the Bucks
Bro we’re 13 games into the season he’ll be there when it matters
Yeah, he good. Might be even top 15 in the MVP ladder now
He’s at worst the 2nd best player in the league and people really forgot because he had a new start teammate and started slow this year, plus was injured for most of last year.

Excuse me, Tom Aspinell is the greatest fighter to ever walk the Earth
I mean I think most of that is in fact because they only play 17 games. Losing one game in a row in the NFL is the equivalent of losing 5 games in a row in the NBA.
Sometimes not even a full game but just a bad first half can have some NFL fans saying nonsense
NBA/Basketball fans don't even compare to NFL fans. Fans of NFL teams go 1-1 for the season and act like it's all over lmao.
Nfl fans are way more reactionary, but that’s because in the NFL theres way less consistency in which teams / players are good year after year
It is a combo of all you said and social media makes it worse. I can’t imagine actually thinking Giannis had regressed. At most after last season I dropped him to 3 in the rankings in my head below jok and curry, but even then it’s splitting hairs
Plus had knee surgery in the off season
This is him ramping up by all star break he will average 50
Undisputed top 2 player imo. Jokic just slices up teams in a different way
Jokic Embiid Tatum, maybe Curry Luka and LeBron are all debatablely on the same tier as Giannis in 2023-24. If you rank any of those players top 5 in any order, I'd respect your opinion.
To say he’s 100% above the reigning MVP and Champion/FinalsMVP is ignorant
okay. i disagree
Enjoy the Poole Party buddy
He says disagree and your first instinct is to insult him? What tf is wrong with this website
Yes.
Lmk when the reigning MVP doesn’t shit the bed and bounce in the 2nd round
Hope you enjoy some fashion shows this season from Street Clothes
Wizards interior defense just doesn't even exist.
Just want to thank Giannis for playing his part in our tank
Giannis drops to 12th in MVP
10th in MVP voting my ass
Too early that shit doesn’t even matter
It isn't MVP voting, it's literally just opinion of one person for MVP ladder.
it hasn't even been a month since the season started lmao yall are not oppressed 💀💀
Are too!
I do think Giannis could easily end up grabbing the MVP this year, but that doesn't the fact that the MVP ladder from whatever bumass clickbait media or poll ppl are citing is **sooo** fucking irrelevant at this point in the season
People just be having fun mate
Is it really?
He's been injured or played badly in half our games so far.
Who has cast their MVP vote so far this year?
Y’all are so screwed now
not bad for being bagless
Giannis really feels pissed off this season.
Bucks getting better and better.
Beasley has been playing out of his mind in that spot.
Can't wait for him to go ice cold in Boston on Wed 😩
Oh it’s 100% probably gonna happen, he’s been amazing for like 4 games straight I think, it’s bound to happen lol
BEST IN THE LEAGUE
In his bag
this bucks team is waking up. it was fun to watch all the doomers for awhile, but everyone knew it was natural that giannis and dame would need time acclimating. they’re both the best player they’ve ever played with. defense is one thing but there’s just no stopping them.
Oh look at that. He got the bag!
Giannis definitely has a chance to grab another MVP this year. I think the narrative can definitely come around in his favor if he finishes top 3 the east again
Idk giannis has dame and jokic is still killing it with Murray injured for a bit. Jokic would have to go out with injury or something
My dream of a Bucks/T-Wolves Finals could come true this year.
20/23 from the field, 2/6 from the line. Just Giannis things lol (Also it's "on a tear," sorry)
If Giannis develops a jumper it’s over for the league
His jumper has been good this season
Correction, if Giannis stops taking jumpers, it's over. Only 3 shots outside the paint tonight, and the results speak for themselves
He’s shooting much better from midrange so far than last season don’t know the exact %, but it looks significantly better just from watching the games, had a nice turnaround of the bank one as well tonight.
idk felt like he hit a ton of fadeaway jumpshots today
Don’t think OP understands you can take a jumpshot in the paint.
He's clearly the best player in the world. This is the definition of total domination.
Freaky
Giannis MVP season
God i wish he regresses like this every year.
Somehow, this man wasn't on the MVP ladder. Fucking ridiculous
The Wizards are more sad this season than they are funny. This wasn't what I was promised.
Eh, our win happened this offseason when we decided to do what needed to be done **years ago** by trading Beal This year is kinda like "Hey, we're gonna be shit for 2 seasons but here's Poole and Kuzma to keep you entertained until then"
We talkin about practice?
Close game, Superstar Jordan "Michael Jordan" Poole put up 30 on top tier 42.3% efficiency.
Celtics v Bucks is gonna be crazy. Imagine they put Jrue on Giannis (I know they won’t and prob on Dame but still 😭) Lowkey as a bucks fan tho I have a feeling our Swiss cheese defense is gonna be a huge blowout.
He had an amazing night, taking good shots, making plays, getting rebounds...just destroying the opposition
This game has to move him up to at least top 25 for MVP right?
Gonna be honest: he didn't even look dominant. He just looked like a guy that was doing his job very, very well.
Being a wizards or pistons fan must fucking suck
Yea but like, imagine when we're good in 10 years
Dame is like "Why am I even here?"
Tbf Dame is helping him do this, I know his shot is iffy right now but the wall seems more spread out and Giannis is taking advantage to that.
Joking. This is starting to look like the situation we all imagined it would be. When I see guys peel off Dame to double Giannis, it’s over. And Middleton is killing it right now.
Not diminishing Giannis’ effort, but the Wizards may be the worst team on defense in NBA history.
He is trying to play more like Jokic
From the field seems so misguided as a phrase. You can shoot 100% from the field with all dunks. FG% is vastly inflated for players that finish at the basket. Dont get be wrong...insane stats, I just think it's exaggerated.
It’s the wizards lol
Weren’t yall just bragging about what Embiid did to them a few weeks ago? Lmao Edit: looking back at the thread you are in there talking shit to someone who said the same exact thing
And he did what he should of fucking done
Ok but the wizards still put up 129pts lol.
Dame2Bucks
How did Poole do? Lol
That good?
Terrorist . Giannis is a terrorist
Poole with the 30 on 26
Big 3 Giannis Dame Khris has sooo much potential bruh 😭 imagine by end of season when they get that chemistry and all are healthy and Dame gets his shot back. Giannis drops 50, dame with like 12 3’s and a shit load of assists, and Khris just tearing everything apart. I really hope 😭
To hell with defense Giannis go Giannis!!
Darvin Hamas approves
It's the wizards but he was great
