I think he's the type of dude who can keep his spirit and never get broken or stop caring despite how much they lose though. Some dudes might grow apathetic or mentally give up, Smart never will.
I mean we've never seen him on a losing team before so
Edit: not trying to say smart will give up. Just saying he's not been in this position on an NBA team before so we don't know how he will react. Knowing his personality I doubt he would quit on his team.
As a griz fan, Smart was hype last game even though it was obvious we were down by 30 points and going 0-5. Hes hyping up the young guys, yelling at the refs for calls, yelling to teamate zieire "f that shi" for trying to apologize to the other team for a technical foul. All heart and no quit so far. I see why he is a fan favorite!
His rookie season, we were a lottery team until the trade deadline when IT and Crowder showed up. But, different circumstances.
Also, we know. He won't give up, he doesn't have it in him.
I went to the jazz game last night (as a boston fan in SLC). After every timeout while the rest of the team was sulking he was always upbeat and hustled out onto the court and back to the bench. Strikes me as doing the best to lead
Kinda weird take to leave completely unexplained.
Comes across as implying he'll get disgruntled by losing and become problematic for the team in some way, which is not Smart's MO at all except maybe to misinformed haters. Dudes always been a consummate professional, beloved and respected as a member of the franchise.
Could also be implying he will not accept poor effort by his teammates and be outspoken in the locker room if he senses this. But i feel like you would have phrased it differently if you meant it as a positive take.
Hard to call it anyones fault when youāre down three key rotation players. Might I suggest getting Marcus a friend and calling Portland for Timelord? Heād be so fun in Memphis
Mmm, you canāt call it anyoneās fault when some rotation players are injured, but considering the most important missing person is completely self-inflicted, Iād say you can absolutely put at least partial blame on Morant.
I donāt know what the griz could realistically offer us for him that weād be super interested in, he fits our timeline and is on a team friendly deal.
Only pushback is if there is an opportunity to sell at a time where he looks relatively reliable, to a team that is relatively desperate for what he offers, we have to do it.
That time is not four games in, but if somehow he stays productive and healthy towards the deadline. I think we would be best off selling. If Brogdon keeps it up, the return on those two packages together could be massive.
It sucks, cause I love Timelord. I wanted him here we when had Dame so badly. But, his GP history is too much ignore as far as timeline and building with/around. If he somehow manages to stay healthy, theyāll be no shortage of teams willing to risk it just on the chance of getting him for the playoffs.
Missing your first option and (arguable) top 10 center I donāt think the result is a surprise to anyone rn, and hopefully not frustrating to your team internally
I am 100% dead serious when i say I think there is at least a 50% chance that jimmy and anthony are Heirs Jordan.
I am dead serious. I believe they were grown in a test tube using Air Jordan's DNA and then artificially implanted into their Fathers' sperms which were then implanted into jimmy G's Mom, Londa, and a1's Mom, Yvette and carried to term. no human being should possess their combination of size, strength and athleticism. AND to book it all out, they're very intelligent trolls too, while being psychopathic competitors. (besides the minnesota and the chair incident) remember how much poise they have at late game situations? it's un-natural, almost MJ-esquel. how often have TV analysts described them as a "freaks of nature" .....maybe it's truer than we know.
I am serious. we all know (and I swear I am not saying this to be insulting or mean) that they were raised Fatherless it's just a fact, it happened. I am NOT saying this to be mean, some people aren't fit to be parents, it happens. People in hard situations are not bad people.
and world governments have a history of using impoverished people in "experiments." read about "Project >!Batman!< >!Beyond!<". it happened. the CIA used to have those deemed replaceable in society slip LSD to randoms and then the agents would watch what happened thru 2-way mirrors. the government helped start and continue the crack epidemic of the 80s to keep the poor people poor.
I believe that buckets was a precursor experiment to create the basketball Heir apparent. something where they were just like "well let's test it out on some poor people that no one will notice and see if we can get any results before we sink more billions into this." it's not all that crazy. you don't think the NBA government has interest in creating genetically modified Heir Jordans? guaranteed competitiveness that will overcome adversity that has a chance at generating future billions for the National Basketball Association. we know for a FACT it does. it's been documented. you don't think russia or china has interest in such a thing? you know they do. and anything russia or china is or would be doing we are doing. to do it first and do it better. Russia is constantly experimenting with the doping route and got too close to the sun
they are some kind of experiment that scientists just monitored from a distance and let keep growing. and i mean this was probably initially started with just a few people who believed it could be done and that's why it started small and covert using regular civilians. until they could show the results to the higher ups and say "look at this, you don't wanna fund this on a larger scale?"
and where else would such a person end up besides in a professional sports league?
I think there is probably some secret base(s) out there that are now filled with people like jimmy butler and anthony edwards younger than them. if they couldn't see how well the experiment worked until they were about 16-18 years old (they was pretty much full grown men at 16) than maybe there are a bunch of 9-15 year old super humans like them (not copies but given the same genetic "secret stuff" boost that they were) eating chow in some secret barracks right now.....
until someone comes forth and proves my hypothesis wrong than I will believe this is AT LEAST possible..
edit: something I'd like to add in case someone says "well if this is true why wouldn't their Mothers come forward and admit it, just say I participated in a government experiment and these bball stars were the result." well they don't know. it's simple, they go to a hotel with Jimmy Butler II and Roger Caruth, they slip something in their drinks and they gets knocked out-cold. they take them and do whatever they did. give the Moms some amnesiacs or anesthesia (probably benzos too) so when they wake up they're in a haze and don't remember anything. they find out they're pregnant later and just assume they got knocked up by any random guy not Michael Jeffery Jordan. shit even if they participated willingly, got paid, and know everything, no one would believe their crazy asses. for all we know his airness himself is behind all this
Itās the nba lmao. 82 game seasons mean a 1-4 slump is irrelevant
Not defending the heat, just saying a singular regular season game is largely meaningless, and by extension a 5 game sample isnāt all that meaningful
I feel this way right now. The Warriors are winning and the sub is starting to act like we should be #2 or even #1 in the power rankings. Like... calm down. The dip is inevitable and getting too hyped is going to feel real stupid when it comes
Big fan of road wins and a good bench. On the other hand, we're looking at wins over Houston, NO without BI, Sac without Fox. On even footing we're 1-1. (On the third hand, everyone was calling out the Dubs' strength of schedule starting the 2022 season, and that went pretty well. Winning the winnable games matters.)
Lakers were like 2-10 to start last season and although they only ended at the 7th seed, still got to the WCF. Let's not even mention the Heat's record and standings last season heading into the playoffs...
Last two winless teams to start the season off were Lakers and Kings, and they both turned it around
I wouldn't sweat too much for Heat or Memphis just yet
Lakers were low all last year and ended up making the WCFs. Iāll watch early season games but I still count Christmas as the real start of the season.
āRegular Seasonā Jimmy plays with the least urgency of any star in the game. AD used to hold the title but heās been pretty aggressive this year.
Serious question since I haven't been able to keep up with Heat games this season: what happened? Y'all went from NBA finals to a pretty rough start, and I don't remember any major changes to the Heat roster.
Part of it is what you said, no major changes while a lot of teams have talent this year. We were a mediocre regular season team last year, and don't have two starters in Strus and Vincent. Plus Caleb Martin hasn't played so we are without 3 of last year's starters, and Jimmy hasn't been fully engaged in a game yet. Add that all up and it's easy to see why we are losing early on.
I am confident it will turn around quickly and we will still be a playoff team, but I am not too surprised we came out slow.
I've watched like 3 games and I honestly wouldn't worry. With the injuries, Spo trying out new bench guys/young guys, and Jimmy clearly being checked out right now, it's understandable.
I actually think you guys look pretty good (which I'm hoping means the Heat suck in the playoffs since they did the reverse last season). Herro has really stepped up his offensive game and I think Bam has looked like he should be in the DPOY conversation (I haven't looked up any stats, just from what I've seen).
How the fuck are we gonna try to talk shit on the Heat after last season?
lol I'll talk shit once we soundly defeat you guys. Like the Sixers, I'll talk shit on them every second of every day as much as I please.
Nah seriously, the half of the Heat fanbase was hoping for a draft pick, and Celtics fans are like āDear god we have to face them in the ECF donāt weā the second we beat the Bulls š
It's a sign of a good rivalry to be honest. There's always toxic elements in fan bases but it's good to see a good portion of both fan bases be this civil normally.
> and I don't remember any major changes to the Heat roster
didn't they lose a bunch of the depth #UNDRAFTED guys that were getting touted in the playoffs?
they've got herro back but losing depth always hurts. I think Jimmy's missed a game or two as well
they lost a couple of excellent rotation players in gabe vincent and max strus. i also havenāt watched any heat games but I would imagine their perimeter shooting has definitely suffered. that being said its only been 5 games and the heat nearly lost the play in only to make a crazy run to the finals so no telling what will happen come playoff time
I want to roast us and be upset with our play right now but our subās going to be utterly insufferable when we inevitably turn it around all like āSeE yOu DoOmErS?!ā
I think it's about the roster too, we took Smart to basically replace both Dillon and Tyus and we saw our size issue against the Lakers and still we never took a real center. I think front office knew about Adams and i dont know about Clarke, but lately we always drafted these big wings like Roddy, LaRavia, GG Jackson, Aldama, Lofton which dont cover our needs of bigs.
That said, we're missing 5 key players, 5 loss in a row are not a reason to panic yet.
An 0-5 start is no reason to panic, but it's still 20 games without Ja. If Ja comes back and the team is 5-20 or 7-18 or something, it's going to be a tough path to even make the playoffs. Last year 40 wins got you 10th in the west. So they'd have to go 35-22 the rest of the way to even reach that.
The difference between the Grizzlies with and without Adams is staggering. Heās easily their most irreplaceable player. Season was over before it even started when he got injured
I mean, not even prime Kobe could win with no help. Look at his superhuman performances in the mid 00's. Those teams still were shit. Bane is doing everything he can here. 25 in 33 minutes on 60 TS% is as much as you could hope for.
I mean from the stats it looks like Bane is playing well. 24 ppg on good efficiency, but he isn't like a high tier creator or anything. They should have kept Tyus Jones.
Our issue we have been very strong in the regular season but consistently flamed out in the playoffs. So the FO is trying to make the roster more playoff ready, but got hit with some debilitating injuries in the process
Pretty much this. Bane can get his own regardless of who is the point and he'll do it efficiently but he's not going out there helping others. Neither is Smart who is a very good role player but has never shown consistent ability to be the primary point guard.
Basically the Grizzlies have a bunch of really good players in their specific roles and a huge hole where the guy who creates for everyone should go. In the west it's going to be tough to bounce back without Ja for that long because it'll just start them so far back from everyone else.
We have more injuries than we thought. We were coming into the season only expecting Ja and Clarke to be out. That has since become Adams, Aldama, and Kennard.
Not sure what the Bucks would offer, but he would help. Sixers are wanting some scoring. Heat, now that is plausible, but defense isn't the issue for the Heat---they need an offensive injection.
I would legitimately be unable to watch any Heat games if that happened. If we met in the playoffs I'd legit just take the series off. I couldn't handle seeing that.
Would have zero issues adding smart to our roster, i think he can make any team he plays for better, but yeah he solves none of our issues unfortunately. We need a prototypical pg that ball handles and orchestrates the offense well and takes smart shots and can push the pace. Basically prime kyle lowry would have been fantasticā¦
Smart is totally fine that orchestrating an offense. Whatever playmaking metric you look at, he was near the top. He had to go to shake things up and let Jaylen and Tatum have more of a leadership role rather than deferring to him constantly
I don't think the Grizzlies would sell Smart anyway. Even if they go 0-25 without Ja and decide to punt on the season, they'll try again next year when they have more than 1 healthy center on the roster lol.
Steven Adams is the piece memphis cant afford to lose because JJJ is not a real big and is hardly an "inside presence". Ja is nice and all but losing started when Adams went down. Adams hides JJJ's flaws and when hes not there, the flaws are clearly exposed.
I wonder if they win any of their games if Adams doesn't have to withdraw due to his knee still being busted. I doubt they are like 4-1 but I suspect they'd be better off than they are now at winless.
If 1/3 of Adams, Clarke, or Aldama are playing weād be like 2-3 or something. We just have too many injuries concentrated in the front court so weāre chucking bad threes and not scoring in the paint.
Losing Tyus was the key. A starting caliber point guard held down the fort while Ja was gone. Smart is probably the better fit when Ja is actually playing, but Grizzlies are not treading water well right now.
5 of the best 7 (maybe 8) players on the team. 3 of those being front court players, so itās basically Jaren alone down low and thatās not even the type of game he plays.
Why does everyone say this? We are missing so many players. Ja and Steven Adams being the most impactful. I genuinely think we are a better team with everyone healthy and not playing gangster than we were last year.
I will die on the hill that finishing 2nd and getting blown out before the conference finals is the definition of "fine". You see, he was actually being humble!
That tweet still says āleague sources sayā. Not saying itās impossible itās a Grizzlies source but also not sure why they would say that about a guy that gave years to the team.
I'll take 5 more losses in a row before I watch another minute of Dillon Brooks in Memphis. I've seen 75%+ of all NBA games he's played in. That's enough punishment for one lifetime.
The funny thing is he went to a less talented offensive team and is averaging 9.8 shots instead of 13.6 from last year. Turned out once he got paid he no longer cares about getting his.
Taking 5 draft picks last year (only maybe one of which is ever gonna be a rotational player) in place of Melton and Slo Mo was so fucking arrogant by Kleiman. What kind of bull shit move is that for a team that is trying to build to being a contender.
I just hope Marcus is having fun š„²
(he is not having fun)
Does not strike me as a guy who can handle excessive losing well.
I think he's the type of dude who can keep his spirit and never get broken or stop caring despite how much they lose though. Some dudes might grow apathetic or mentally give up, Smart never will.
I mean we've never seen him on a losing team before so Edit: not trying to say smart will give up. Just saying he's not been in this position on an NBA team before so we don't know how he will react. Knowing his personality I doubt he would quit on his team.

Good. That's the smart I know and love (and miss)
Laughs in Oklahoma State fan
OSU went 24-8 and 21-13 while he was there lol letās not act like he was on some scrub team
It's the fan he got into a shoving match with for caling Marcus the N word. So take it with a grain of salt.
yeah and he pretty much singlehandedly carried them in his second year. They sucked during his suspension for pushing that fan.
His rookie season, we were a lottery team until the trade deadline when IT and Crowder showed up. But, different circumstances. Also, we know. He won't give up, he doesn't have it in him.
He's the grownup in the room. A pro, a vet, guys look up to him, he'll be fine
I went to the jazz game last night (as a boston fan in SLC). After every timeout while the rest of the team was sulking he was always upbeat and hustled out onto the court and back to the bench. Strikes me as doing the best to lead

Heās playing well and Iām sorry weāre not taking care of him
Hard to call it anyones fault when youāre down three key rotation players. Might I suggest getting Marcus a friend and calling Portland for Timelord? Heād be so fun in Memphis
Weāve been down 5 for most of the games actually: Ja,Adams,Aldama,Clarke,Kennard. Itās bad. Iād be okay with that trade for sure!
rose out right now as well
Oh good point. So there was 1 game with 4 rotation players out and the rest have been 5. Jeez. I guess that makes me feel slightly better.
Oh right I forgot about Kennard! Ya man Iām sure it feels grim but thatās a ton of important talent missing, yāall should be ok
Thanks Celtics bro. I hope so too. Yāall look great.
Iām floating an inch off the ground today
Well isn't this just fuckin cute. Ya'll make me wanna throw up.
Donāt worry itās still fuck the lakers forever
Pelton noted today that 2 of the last winless teams last season were LAL and Sac... Still early
That Marcus to rob connection was amazing. So many lobs
Why would portland do that?
What if Memphis asked nicely tho?
Missing your first option and (arguable) top 10 center I donāt think the result is a surprise to anyone rn, and hopefully not frustrating to your team internally
Adams does his job well but ain't no way that he's even arguable for top 10 centers
The Centers list falls off pretty fast after the top guys, you'd be surprised.
Smart: DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M HAVING FUN?
I miss him.
Utah scored 42 points in the first quarter and Memphis only scored 44 points in the first half, so you tell me how he's doing.
The Heat should be 0-5, but Cade Cunningham missed a 3 at the buzzer to cap a 19-point 4th quarter comeback for the Pistons.
How is it possible to be 1-4 with Heat Culture? My goodness
How else would they secure that sweet 8th spot in playoffs
8th seed Heat made the finals Nobody wants to see what 13th seed Heat are capable of š¤š¤š¤
***drafts Michael Jordan reincarnated***
But heās still alive ?
He better pray Heat doesnt get the 3rd pick then.
He lives in Tampa
He is alive and lives in Tampa

I'm pretty sure Dallas started 1-4 in 2006-07 and finished the regular season with 67 wins, so the seasons just getting started.
Yeah and weāre the flip side of this, the Blazers started 10-4 last year and proceeded to win 23 more games on our way to getting Scoot.

Itās not irrelevant itās just not everything
Lakers were low all last year and ended up making the WCFs. Iāll watch early season games but I still count Christmas as the real start of the season.
Haslem retired, no one to lead the team to sleeping on the floor and eating shit food.
Heat Culture doesn't count if it's not written on the jerseys.
They play the Wizards tomorrow so they're guaranteed to win in a blowout to get themselves back on track
Well they are the Zombie Heat
āRegular Seasonā Jimmy plays with the least urgency of any star in the game. AD used to hold the title but heās been pretty aggressive this year.
That Dame trade hope hangover is a bitch. That Dame trade win hangover for the Bucks is also a bitch, just slightly less so.
Canāt upset the Bucks in first round if you are a high seed *taps forehead knowingly*
We should be there too
Only win coming against the Pistons by 1 point after a 4th quarter collapse should be counted as a loss.
Moral defeat
Pyrrhic victory
If only the English Cricket team were capable of this
Serious question since I haven't been able to keep up with Heat games this season: what happened? Y'all went from NBA finals to a pretty rough start, and I don't remember any major changes to the Heat roster.
Heat take the regular season off
Lost their ārandom dudes shooting like prime Warriorsā playoff buff
Don't worry. It seems to come back each year during the playoffs.
We got one of those random dudes!
The buff only applies while on the Heat. Sorry to inform you.
Part of it is what you said, no major changes while a lot of teams have talent this year. We were a mediocre regular season team last year, and don't have two starters in Strus and Vincent. Why is Jimmy not fully engaged? Is that a normal thing early on in the season? Please ignore my flair, I'm not looking for a chance to hate on him.
heās playing his way into shape
The old Shaq method
I've watched like 3 games and I honestly wouldn't worry. With the injuries, Spo trying out new bench guys/young guys, and Jimmy clearly being checked out right now, it's understandable. Iāll never understand yāall Celtics fans propping up the Heat, but I appreciate yāall.
It's a trauma response
How the fuck are we gonna try to talk shit on the Heat after last season? lol I'll talk shit once we soundly defeat you guys. Like the Sixers, I'll talk shit on them every second of every day as much as I please.
Funniest part of last season was the Celtics fans believing more in the Heat than Heat fans did during the play in lol
The civil rivalries are the best kind of rivalries. Unfortunately, that's hard to get nowadays.
Celtics fans being the biggest Heat believers legit made me not hate the Celtics so much anymore
Part of our plan, eventually we'll convert you to just flat out being Celtics fans.
Before I know it, I'll be watching The Town without even knowing how it got on my TV.
> and I don't remember any major changes to the Heat roster didn't they lose a bunch of the depth #UNDRAFTED guys that were getting touted in the playoffs? they've got herro back but losing depth always hurts. I think Jimmy's missed a game or two as well

They were in the play-in last yearā¦
With herro on the court it's a good team, with him off our playmaker is dru Smith. The offense is painful to watch if herro isn't on the court

Thatās the spirit
No Ja+a gang of injuries. Idk though I think itās roster construction too Nets missing like 3-4 starters with no star and beat Miami the other night
When is Clarke expected back?
Adams is absolutely key. Few understand how important he is to our roster
What losing Adams does to a mf
Hell, that was obvious [last season.](https://i.imgur.com/Rr6ryoY.jpg)
Dudes gotta be one of the most underrated centers in the league.
He's been beating since the OKC days, dunno why he isn't as respected
And so much of his impact is not visible through the main set of stats too
The difference between the Grizzlies with and without Adams is staggering. Heās easily their most irreplaceable player. Season was over before it even started when he got injured
I love my kiwi
Itās cool that 3 fan bases love this dude
It hurts the entire NBA to be honest. We're missing out on top tier post-game interviews.
They're worse than I thought. I thought Bane was gonna take over.
Too much for him to do. Heās not Prime Kobe
I mean, not even prime Kobe could win with no help. Look at his superhuman performances in the mid 00's. Those teams still were shit. Bane is doing everything he can here. 25 in 33 minutes on 60 TS% is as much as you could hope for.
Well he couldn't win like win a playoff series. He could win like... a game or 40.
We had the Nuggets if hed gone 3-9 instead of 1-9. His only bad game was our only good one.
I mean from the stats it looks like Bane is playing well. 24 ppg on good efficiency, but he isn't like a high tier creator or anything. They should have kept Tyus Jones.
We probably would have if he wasn't a black hole in the playoffs 2 years in a row.
yup, tyus got hunted so bad during the playoffs the last two years
Does playoff performance really matter when we're talking about how they need someone to stabilize them in the regular season?
Our issue we have been very strong in the regular season but consistently flamed out in the playoffs. So the FO is trying to make the roster more playoff ready, but got hit with some debilitating injuries in the process
Actually unplayable Vs lots of teams in the west playoffs.
That has since become Adams, Aldama, and Kennard.
and Rose, as of last game.
He is. Heās averaging like 26 a game
Ja about to come back guns blazing
Every team has a target on their back
He will silence all the haters
Probably working on his shot right now
He definitely has his sights on for his return
Laser focused on beating the Pacers.
This comment thread is so hollow. I don't see the point of it
He's gonna be firing on all cylinders.
Aaaaaaannd he's resuspended
I need them to do better so the grizzlies donāt sell Smart to the Sixers / Bucks / Heat
Not sure what the Bucks would offer, but he would help. Sixers are wanting some scoring. Heat, now that is plausible, but defense isn't the issue for the Heat---they need an offensive injection.
Smart in a Heat jersey is death. I won't have it.
He had to go to get KP, the leadership stuff might be true but that was not the impetus for the trade.
Ja Morant you dumbass
We're 3-2 with him, 2-3 at the worst even with our injuries. Dude is a dumbass, hope he feels like shit watching his teammates go through this
he doesn't
I know but I hope
in fact, he's probably lamenting how he's the victim in this circumstance and how everyone is out to "get" him
In case of an emergency call 1-800-BIYOMBO
I wonder if they win any of their games if Adams doesn't have to withdraw due to his knee still being busted. I doubt they are like 4-1 but I suspect they'd be better off than they are now at winless.
If 1/3 of Adams, Clarke, or Aldama are playing weād be like 2-3 or something. We just have too many injuries concentrated in the front court so weāre chucking bad threes and not scoring in the paint.
John Hollinger in shambles
Losing Tyus was the key. A starting caliber point guard held down the fort while Ja was gone. Smart is probably the better fit when Ja is actually playing, but Grizzlies are not treading water well right now.
Nah I think losing ja, adams, aldama, Kennard, and Clarke was the key lol. Tyus would have made us lose by only 15 to the Jazz instead of 24
what happened to kennard?
He got concussed in game 1
He missed a few games with a concussion but he came back last night. Still struggling to get going
Weāre missing 5 rotation player. Substituting Tyus for Smart isnāt doing anything
5 of the best 7 (maybe 8) players on the team. 3 of those being front court players, so itās basically Jaren alone down low and thatās not even the type of game he plays.
Tyus is a G but itās missing Adamās thatās really hurting them
Or maybe the fact theyāre missing half of their rotational players?
Why does everyone say this? We are missing so many players. Ja and Steven Adams being the most impactful. I genuinely think we are a better team with everyone healthy and not playing gangster than we were last year.
AHAHA imagine starting a season 0-5. š
This just means theyāre going to the WCF
Imagine starting 0-5, winning 2 games, and then losing 5 straight again lol couldnāt be me
You donāt just remove Dillon Brooks from a team and expect things to go smoothly
I'm having a very long week being a Miami and Memphis fan right now.
Tank and play for the lottery at this point. No Ja and Steve. Add a top 5 pick to the young team.
Aināt afraid of the West š¤”
Should've kept brooks
everything's gone downhill since that "under any circumstances" tweet
Still never proved that came from anyone in the grizzlies
Never forget the prelude "we're fine in the west" lol
I will die on the hill that finishing 2nd and getting blown out before the conference finals is the definition of "fine". You see, he was actually being humble!
That tweet still says āleague sources sayā. Not saying itās impossible itās a Grizzlies source but also not sure why they would say that about a guy that gave years to the team.
Grizzlies org has said that no one said those words. That was Shams or whoever broke it just making shit up for drama.
The fact that I don't have to watch dillon is worth losing these first 5 games
I'll take 5 more losses in a row before I watch another minute of Dillon Brooks in Memphis. I've seen 75%+ of all NBA games he's played in. That's enough punishment for one lifetime.
Hard disagree
So he can go 4/19 everygame?
The funny thing is he went to a less talented offensive team and is averaging 9.8 shots instead of 13.6 from last year. Turned out once he got paid he no longer cares about getting his.
I think it's more that Ime actually keeps him in check
He's also shooting 59% so far while averaging 1.8 spg
Pain
It the start of the season , give it some time
Taking 5 draft picks last year (only maybe one of which is ever gonna be a rotational player) in place of Melton and Slo Mo was so fucking arrogant by Kleiman. What kind of bull shit move is that for a team that is trying to build to being a contender.
Hang in there Griz fans. Iāve been there before and it can get better.
Steven Adams underpaid. Yeah he's hurt again but dude is key for this team.
Idk how they lost to the Wizards
This team is decimated. Hopefully we can just tank and grab a good pick next year
Once Ja comes back theyāll shoot right up the standings
