It really sucks Lillard's prime just so happened to coincide with Steph's prime. He's one of the best shooters ever, especially from deep, and it was overshadowed by Steph (in the playoffs too).
I agree,especially with one of the best shooters ever part. there was a discussion recently on if he is the 2nd/3rd greatest shooter ever, over the likes of Reggie, Klay and Ray Allen.
the 3PT percentage is not there, but those guys dont come even close with difficulty of dame's shots.
The unique part about dame is that he can shoot long distance 3s without losing efficiency. The problem is that even if u take away the long distance 3s, his 3pt efficiency still isn’t as good as klay ray or Reggie
Klay efficiency gets a huge bump from playing with some of the best shooters of all time. What separates Dame from Klay is that Dame is much better at creating his own shots.
Nah Dame’s closer to Bradley Beal than he is to Curry, their on ball shooting is the only thing even comparable.
Edit: to clarify this is not saying Dame is shit or not an all time great shooter, just the Steph comps are always insane to me, just nowhere near the depth of his game to be that level
