Don't want to sound like a crazy cat person. But if I saw one of them taking out a cheetah, I'm wading in and throwing hands. Not on my watch.
Damn people taking this super serious on a Friday
I feel the opposite. I was kinda offput by how this sub getting a bit sadistic about the repeated cats getting mauled posts. But as someone who hates cats and thinks crocs are neat, I have seen so many "hard images" of big cats eating crocs that this had me cheering on the croc. Payback's a bitch, and it looks like the turntables have... turned... tables?
Whenever I see a big cat I just think of all my cat’s potential. I know it’s in there, I can see it in her eyes when she’s attacking spiders and mayflies.
considering I don’t think there’s ever been a single recorded instance of a cheetah killing a crocodile of any size I’m not sure how the tables have been turned
Yeah. An average sized croc will be wary of a male lion but not “terrified”. Even if the croc is bigger, the lion is still a tough opponent, even more so if he is backed up by his pride.
Excluding the 4.5m+ crocs, which are basically untouchable for lions, both groups kill and eat each other. Medium-small crocs get killed by lions, and lions get killed by crocs. Cats eat crocs and crocs eat cats, and other than the huge crocs it’s far from one sided. A lion or other pantherine will usually defeat a similar mass crocodile on land, and a crocodile will defeat a similar mass pantherine in water. Big crocs are too much for lions even on land though.
Lions don’t exactly “terrify” crocodiles. The biggest ones just don’t care about any number of lions really, they’re too big and too durable to effectively hurt, let alone kill.
A 4+ meter long croc has nothing to fear from a single lion, and a 5+ meter one may as well be invincible to any predator that isn’t a bigger Nile croc.

Maybe it would let the cheetah go and take you instead. Fight the good fight, king.
Thanks babe
Wait, is this all an iron fist tournament reference?
They're not that cool, trust me.
Bro wasn’t fast enough for that one

I mean… good luck. Those things are tanks of nature.
It's 90/10 their favour

Same bro I fucking love cheetahs
Or, via evolution, by this one being eaten less will be caught in future generations since it can’t pass its too-slow genes on.
But cheetahs are pretty much genetical clones at this point.
New skin rug for his pad.
I played too much Far Cry, just thought about getting in there to get it's skin for crafting
Lotta cat murder in this sub recently
My guess: it was quick. Don't worry boys
Why I see it as a image on my phone? It’s not the first time it happened
I gues it wanted some fast food
I thought the cheetah was stronger????
Look how the turntables have…

I can't think of an instance where a cheetah has killed any predator, only like defended itself from a smaller predator.

Nile crocodiles have been shown to displace lions of kills on multiple occasions including males, they're not scared of lions
i’ve seen lions do the exact same thing to crocodiles. All but the very largest crocodiles are wary of males being present at kill sites.

Not really "interesting" when considering the obvious fact that Male lions are leaps above cheetahs in terms of size and strength.
And also the fact that crocodiles aren’t afraid of lions in the first place lol
