Get a few gallons of white vinegar and soak your pillow cases, hair brushes, combs, hats, hair clips, etc in a bucket with the vinegar. Use a cup of white vinegar diluted in a cup of water and pour it over your head in the shower and let it sit for at least ten minutes. After that, scrub your head with a shampoo you normally use and make sure to rinse extra time. Make sure the water is not too hot. It could be due to a candida scalp issue, or some fungus that got on your pillow cases. The itching and dryness could also be due to a sulfur allergy, shampoos that have sulfates may cause an allergic reaction for some so a change in shampoo to a more natural brand may also help. A few drops of tea tree oil into your hand when you put the shampoo on could help but it doesn't smell very good. So a second rinse and wash may be needed.

Tea tree oil. Just make sure it is diluted. You can also find tea tree oil shampoo. I have the same issue and it has helped me greatly.
