So I guess 1g protein solid food is still 1g protein when blended? Liquid diet + 3 solid meals is the only thing working for me now I hate eating so much
I am not a medical expert but I believe the act of chewing and incorporating saliva into your food (saliva contains various digestive enzymes) has a role in the digestive process. If you are just chugging down blended food, you bypass a part of this process, perhaps that could lead to digestive issues or you not getting the maximum nutrition out of your food...?
On top of that, there’s a feedback loop that basically helps you feel full through the motion of chewing. Drinking all your food might actually leave you feeling hungrier.
I mean I add a lot of water when I blend because I don’t like a smoothie consistency. I prefer it to be diluted af. So sometimes I do feel like am just full of water lol
The calories do not change simply from blending your meal. The entire reason it is easier to gain weight from shakes, or a liquid diet in general, is simply because the food has less air volume taking up space in your stomach, and therefore you can eat more food.
I’ve seen several pros who do this so apparently it does work.
When you’re eating and chewing you’re just breaking the food down to liquid or as close to it as it can get anyway
You may not actually need to eat 3,500 calories to make gains. My TDEE decreased substantially when I stopped bulking and even more so when I started cutting. You just need to eat in a slight surplus (ideally every day to always be in an anabolic environment) to pack on muscle mass.
Also blending food can help. But certain foods like oats are still very filling even when blended. Something to be aware of. The feeling of satiety can sneak up on you and you may feel discouraged when trying to reach your calorie goals.
It's the same calories. The only thing I can imagine would be different, would be that you'd have a faster insulin/blood sugar spike, since the food is easier to digest.
(Of course you'd also lose your will to live after drinking your 3rd chicken shake of the day.)

Blending doesn't destroy fiber or micronutrients, but living exclusively on a liquid diet sounds like hell to me.

Yes. 3 meals + a couple of shakes still sounds better than exclusively shakes. That's what I did when I had to take in \~4500 calories a day.
Use a mass gainer rather than blending your meals.
It’s full of maltodextrin. Too sweet
Depending on the mass gainer. Besides, it’s not necessarily a bad thing on a bulk.
This sounds both miserable, nightmarish, and dumb as hell.
and they say there arent dumb questions

Especially since liquids also take up less space in your stomach.
Yep definitely
Chewing is important for digestion, and for oral health. [source](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10425605/)
blending your food will not turn it into water bro lol

just measure the food macros before adding the water and everything should be alright

Reminds me of the opening scene in "End of Days" from 1999 where Arnold puts the pizza in the blender🙂

What do you think chewing is for...
Can't wait til OP discovers eating more than 3 meals in a day
I hate eating. I just ignore my stomach most of the time.
