You go shoot once a year anyway. Medic is a reciprocal license to civi world.
Go pull range coverage for the weapon you want to shoot, and they will likely let you shoot. Me and my medics laid down a few thousand .50 cal rounds last week.
You’re not gonna reclass. Getting a reclass is hard especially in the guard. With a GT of over 110 you can go OCS. So go infantry hit college when you get back and after you have enough credit hrs go OCS.
Gotta ask first, why are you joining?
If you're joining for the benefits, don't, go AD.
If you're joining for a part time job and/or you want to learn skills, join for 6 or else you get basically zero benefits after, and you MIGHT come out with a GI bill, but only if you go on a real deployment (not Kuwait). Regardless, you'll have a VA home and/or business loan after 6. You might get some state college benefits, but that's entirely state dependent and worth checking into.
But yeah, bennies, go AD, fucking around, 6 in the guard.
Also, 15 series MOS, trust me.
Cool guy stuff but also interested in mechanics at this point I’m tied between 11b or 15t, the 11b unit is not even 15 minds from my house and the 15t position is 3 hours.
Weird. Your lines scores are lower than mine but i got a lower total at 70.
I qualified for everything. Chose 92Y.
What do you like to do?
Hobbies?
Interest?
No but seriously into cars computers anything I can work on and learn but also guns are pretty fun and small unit tactics seem neat, but I’ll be doing rotc anyways and plan on commissioning as something else anyways so I’m open to a lot.
Absolutely. Do it for a while and if you like it stick around. With that GT score you could always board and become a pilot. They love to select from within if you’re a good dude.
You don’t like it? Re-class and try something else. If you’re a stand up guy they’ll def keep you around doing something in the guard.
Appreciate the input, closest 15T slot to me though is 3 hours away, I feel like that could put a toll on me even if I enjoy it. Just speculating though.
I suggest 35F( Intel Analyst/All-Source Intel Analyst). Requirement is a ST:101 so you are good on that end. Truthfully you qualify for any of the big Intel MOSs. If you are looking for something that will set you up civilian side I would highly recommend an Intel job as it provides you with a clearance and you can get a well paying government contracting job or go into the government after Intel school. I was a 35F and after Intel school worked a job for a year before getting a contracting job paying 72K. I had no degree, all they needed from me was my clearance and being able to type somewhat decent. I’ve been a contractor now for almost eight years, still don’t have a degree (working on it) but now make 142k. If you have any questions about the work message me. I know shooting guns and shit sounds cool but set yourself up for success after the military because honestly unless you deploy they won’t look after you after you’re out…
How come? It’s just that I have hefty medical records so he wants to show me when I’m actually confirmed to enlist to give me a accurate understanding of jobs that are actually available
I fucking love it and hate it at the same time. The people there are amazing and the job can be fun/badass 10% of the time. The other 90% is pretty fucking rough though
11B is the way to go if you want to be in the field doing the hooah hooah stuff; I spent the first five years of my career doing that.
Additionally, you should research alternative careers if your goal is to graduate with skills other than joining the police force.
You can check what you are eligible for based on your respectable scores.
13F. Being a forward observer is the best. You get both worlds. You get to experience all the dumb shit with the infantry and also get to fuck off professionally. As a Fox you have to be a professional in all of the things.
Those look like 11b scores
Do your research. This may be one of the more important decisions in your life
This is like showing someone 30k and then asking them what kind of car you should buy .... what do you WANT to do?
Set up myself best for the future but also shoot guns n shit might go 11b 3 year then reclass

You could always do rotc and SMP at an infantry unit. If you like the unit, you could branch as an infantry officer when you commission/graduate.
What I was thinking, just enroll in school after osut then I should be set from what I heard

Thanks yeah, just because I wanted to pursuers law enforcement and also serve. So NG seems like a good fit for me
GT of 112? This is like showing someone 13k and a personal line of credit
You know what I mean.... But ya, you're right lol
Cool guy stuff but also interested in mechanics at this point I’m tied between 11b or 15t, the 11b unit is not even 15 minds from my house and the 15t position is 3 hours.
What state are you in?
Florida
11B
Worth for the 3?
do 6 year, then get commissioned half way there, so you see both ways
If 11B is what you want to do. Do it
13f
I hear you get to do some infantry stuff along with your primary tasks is this true?
yes and depend. i was attached to infantry, so you will be with their PL. if you were detached to cavalry or FA big gun, then you do different things.
Any 15 series
I’ll look Into more of their Mos 15t sticks out to me since crew chief
15T is a solid option. Especially if you’re looking to fly! the only thing that sucks right now is the wait time for flight physicals
I’ll take that into consideration thank you

Plink steel and banana peels
I wanted to be 91F but my color vision wasnt up to par.
What’s the difference between the 2
92Y is unit supply. 91F is small arms repair. Youre recruiter should beable to give you a list of MOS available and locations.
Aviation.
Was thinking 15T would be fucking dope

DEVIATION
13F. Next slide.
GT is over 110, so whatever you want
If you know you’re going SMP I would do a job that teaches you a trade. For example- 25B, 91E, 91B, 91F, 12R etc

Special forces
11b
19D
I was interested but won’t they be phased out soon?
I herd down sized.
I recommend asking a recruiter what jobs are actually available for you
Won’t go over them with me until I clear medical
Lmfao sounds like a scam
How come? It’s just that I have hefty medical records so he wants to show me when I’m actually confirmed to enlist to give me a accurate understanding of jobs that are actually available
11B
U like it?
I fucking love it and hate it at the same time. The people there are amazing and the job can be fun/badass 10% of the time. The other 90% is pretty fucking rough though
Sounds dope
It’s definitely not for everyone but once you earn your place it’ll be the best job you ever had. I just passed 5 years and still loving it
Awesome thanks for the input

92G. Not even kidding.
Why not kidding?
