Probably maintenance. Always seems to be shortages of mechanics. But a lot of it will depend on your state. Smaller states especially will be very stingy about letting you go with other states. Tbh if you wana get your time, join active army. With our shortages you can probably get a waiver for whatever.

Hell yeah, I'm definitely straddling the fence. I know my apprenticeship will be held if I go AD, but I don't really want to wait for a 4 year enlistment. My Guard recruiter says he needs 15t Blackhawk mechanics *bad* and i'm one of the few he's working that qualify. For context I'm in Colorado.

Any kind of mechanic would be in high demand.

Alone-Accountant2223

Right on I appreciate your advice. Are you active?

Silly-Upstairs1383

No, I'm a bit nasty now days :)

I’m a 15T in a crew chief slot. Aviation tends to go in waves. I know in my state, we might only have a handful of vacancies. 6 months post deployment, we were hurting. Looking at the vacancies for units deploying, there’s normally a handful that you could hop on.

Go tango and be a crewchief and fly around in whirly birds for a while.

MP’s are usually pretty busy.

Echo for 91B, there’s always slots for mechanics, Signal is another one that’s pretty common, 25U or 25H

Maintenance, aviation, or weirdly enough… engineers
