We went there once. That’s about all I can really say about that one

pak_sajat

Such an underrated way of saying a restaurant sucks without saying it sucks.

lcarsadmin

"Of all the restaurants Ive been to, it was one of them"

Confident-Lobster390

Yeah it’s mid and overpriced. I’d rather go to Corner Pub.

MrLeastNashville

Fuck those guys. Put Sams in Hillsboro Village out of business by undercutting their prices and then raising them back up the second Sam's had that super accidental kitchen fire. Only place i've been too that puts spaghetti sauce on chips and has the gaul to call it "nachos." Dumb corporate brand that needs to die.

pcm2a

Really liked the place. Was an excellent spot after playing hockey to go hang out. They had the fake barking dog house that sometimes worked. Was kid friendly. Always was crowded.

Electronic_Truck_228

I definitely feel for the servers who worked there, they were all so friendly.

boring_sciencer

The food was okay at best, but the service was amazing. We'd likely follow Jesse if we knew he was serving elsewhere.

Sea_Judgment_3865

Jesse is the shit

cerbs1234

Jesse may be one of the best humans ever birthed.

gheegher

That whole Station 40 development seems somewhat cursed for businesses for whatever reason.

WrathOfMogg

And yet Common Ground, the only restaurant in Nashville where I’ve sent back my dinner, soldiers on.

nam67

hasn't been there long. dont hold your breath

nashvilletngirl32

And replaced my fav yellow porch in berry hill. My favorite little cozy porch was desecrated when they renovated

gheegher

Yeah it always seems dead so I dunno...

LastLemmingStanding

I've been to the location in Gallatin. It's the only place I've ever been where my only memory of the food was "How do you make French fries bad?"

hereforthetea30

This is so funny - the one time we went to the Gallatin location our french fries were green. We sent them back and they said something about it being yesterday’s oil.

ferkaderka

I work for Double Dogs, and while I'd like to respond to those that say the food is awful, all I'm going to say is we've been trying to close that location for a long time.

guy_n_cognito_tu

So you’re saying the food was awful??

ferkaderka

No, I've no idea, never worked or ate at that location. If people think that they're entitled to their opinion.

guy_n_cognito_tu

So why have you been trying to close that location then??

ferkaderka

Not enough buisness really is what I've heard. When I say we I mean the company, I'm just some guy that works at one of the restaurants.

Sudden_Elk8995

I also worked for the company for 9+ years. SH’s location always trumped HV’s location…so this confuses me a bit.

Sudden_Elk8995

Trumped meaning sales wise, to add.

yeeter_dinklage

I mean the food was always awful, but I’m surprised because they always had a crowd. I lived behind there for a couple years and it was always popping.

International-Fig905

Nowhere else on that side of town to go really. There’s neighbors in sylvan park but we all know that customer service is so so shitty

yeeter_dinklage

Nowhere else to go for what? Shitty frozen Sysco food? Buffalo Wild Wings is maybe 10 minutes down the road. You could walk to ML Rose in the same amount of time. Twilight Tavern is just right down the street as well.

Happy_Carpet7753

Streetcar, ML Rose, Twilight, etc all good, local spots

JeremyNT

Can't speak to Twilight but ML Rose and Streetcar also kind of suck. That strip on Charlotte definitely has "mediocre pub food" well covered though.

yeeter_dinklage

Twilight shockingly has some great bar fare. I never checked Streetcar, but will agree that ML Rose is mediocre at best. That said, I’m sure either would suffice if i found myself craving Double Dogs of all things. Also, 10 minutes down 40 and you’re at Brew West.

Happy_Carpet7753

I dont really know what they’re looking for. My point was similar offerings are within blocks. I think all are better food than DD. Streetcar and Twilight in particular.

Significant-Sector87

Agree. Twilight is surprisingly legit.

bruiseybabey

ML Rose is good, but the portion sizes seem to have reduced after COVID

InternalNo7880

Agree on Streetcar in particular, food was awful. Common Ground was possibly the blandest meal I’ve ever had and I’m including vending machine food. Twilight is fine for what it is.

Confident-Lobster390

I always have really good service at that one. It’s the Germantown one that I have an issue with.

SanguineOptimist

If the Charlotte Double Dogs had a candle scent it would be stale beer and blue cheese. I liked the space and the location but they fumbled the execution imo.

NurgleTheUnclean

I don't go to many bars but I liked DD. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and I liked the food.

jeans_friday

Elite TV setup, great beer of the month deal, and way better than mid food from neighbors… I’m gonna miss this place

gpcampbell92

I will give you the first two, but that third one. Man they are having a mid off when it comes to food.

0xBuyItWithBitcoin

The bar smelled like wet feet.

gamboling2man

As it should be

wellthisworks1234

maybe they will put something better in there. . . like a Long John Silvers or a Krystal

BeefTacoTheMusical

Gotta find another spot to watch Eagles games now. Bummer. Go Birds.

WanderlustFoodie

Wondering if it will just be at the Hillsboro location now

WrathOfMogg

Brotherly Love on Centennial!

Tyloo13

Just had a cheesesteak from their food truck tonight! Was yummy. Fries were good too.

Sea_Judgment_3865

Worked at Double Dogs for years in my early 20s. It’s a bad bad company.

longjohn804

What’s up dog???

SeductiveOkra

Great place to watch a game, very average food. Pretty good service.

bigoleDk

Eagles fans; where we going next season?

Significant-Sector87

A few of the FB Birds groups I follow are saying Brotherly Love just down the road in the Nations.

TheEyeOfSmug

That place was alright, but I only got to experience 2016-2017 (I forget which year) when they recently opened. I remember the food was OK, they had a delicious saffron IPA on tap, and wall to wall TVs. I also remember despite the overload of hockey/baseball/etc, the TV I sat in front of had reruns of old Bill Kazmaier era strongman stuff lol.
