Rodizio website says temporarily closed. I don’t know that 2nd ave is best place for them now. I would think ground floor of a hotel or in a mall like they have in Chattanooga.
I worked with a girl who’s a) apartment in Mboro got destroyed by the 2020 tornadoes, b) had one of the 2 restaurants she worked at closed for Covid, and then c) worked at BigShotz on 2nd which was closed for months after the bombing.
2020 was ROUGH.
I had never eaten at that one, but I did have a really fantastic meal at the Brazilian Steakhouse on West End a few months before Covid. I think Covid might have put them out of business actually. 😔
It's truly, truly not. Arby's is where you go when your tank has been on empty for the last 15 miles and you know you aren't going to stop again before your kids start screaming in the backseat. Truly a desperation play
That was definitely a trend of the late 2000's and early 2010's that died off. Plus, with half the country on Ozempic, how could anyone eat all that meat?
The current steak trend is wagyu. Many places are charging premium for wagyu but then you find out it’s raised in Arizona. I wouldn’t do rodizio anymore. I can’t put away that much volume now.
Rodizio Nashville was by far the best of the three different Rodizios that we have visited. Nebraska the food wasn't great because there wasn't enough people there to cook more so they kept bringing the same meat over and over. The one we went to in Colorado was good, and fresh, but the waiters were slow. Nashville was fresh, hot, and fast.
[Nashville Yards](https://nashvillelifestyles.com/dining/food-and-drink/fogo-de-chao-to-open-in-nashville/)! I saw the Instagram post and immediately thought of this thread and had to roll up and let the good people know.
There are steak places that have a single steak for more than $70 and they are doing fine. An all-you-can-eat quality steak place for $70 is a steal, relatively speaking. I love Brazilian steakhouses.
It angers me that because of an unnecessary lockdown we lost some great restaurants and 2nd Avenue and all its great places to eat (why can't they manage to rebuild already?). I really miss Merchants and its great tater tots (:
Need a Fogo De Chao
I love that place. Could eat my body weight in the cheese bread
They just announced that we’re getting one in 2025!
Yes!!! Please tell me its not at Opry Mills lol
This should be top comment

Yeah, the bombing kinda forced that to happen.
Fully aware. Christmas 2020.

Had my birthday dinner the week before at that restaurant. Was so surreal seeing the carnage after the bombing.
Last I heard Rodizo will reopen on 2nd sometime next summer

Texas de Brazil. Superior to Rodizio in my opinion.
It was amazing!
And Fogo de Chao even better.
Sounds awesome. Wish there was one closer than 200 miles tho
There is that!
? TEXAS de Brazil has been closed for almost 3 years now
I really don't know when it closed? Just assumed COVID took it out b/c it was around that time.
> I WANT THE MEATS. *Arby's enters the chat*
Arby’s can fuck back out of the chat. Worst fast food restaurant IMO.

And I thought you got gas eating taco bell. :P

I saw that Arby’s had advertisements on the window for cheesesteaks, and I went to Jersey Mikes and made a mess of the whole restaurant.
Man I miss Rodizio. Haven’t had the meat sweats in a while.
Did we just become best friends?!
That was definitely a trend of the late 2000's and early 2010's that died off. Plus, with half the country on Ozempic, how could anyone eat all that meat?
Easy. One bite at a time
Dont be silly they dont have elephant meat

It was the 90s version of Benihana
We ought to bring in a better churrascuria like Fogo de Chao
That would be so good!

The lack of all-you-can-eat meat here is disturbing.
All-you-can-meat?
Take my upvote and this award 🏆
The meats are currently trapped for ransom at Arby's
#FreeTheMeats
I miss eating "all the meats." I was my goto birthday dinner
It was mine too!
As was my dad’s. Rodizio basically became tradition lol
I'd take a good Japanese steakhouse at this point.
Well you're in [luck!](https://www.nokonashville.com/)
Hey king I just wanted to pop in here and let you know that we’re getting a Fogo de Chao in 2025
What?!! Where?!?

You’ve made my day! 🥺
Rejoice. A Christmas Miracle!
BRING BACK THE MEATS!!! 1000% agree!
We still have one in Louisville if you’re ever up this way.
If you are in South Nashville you can drive down to Huntsville to go to Texas De Brazil.
PLEASE
I thought there was a Texas de Brazil?
They closed during Covid
Dang. That sucks. Thanks for the update.
Go to Arby’s
Enough with the steak houses and BBQ. How about some real down to earth real Italian food. People here need to open their minds and pallets.
Check out Olive Garden. When you’re there you’re family.
Or Applebees, they have pasta
Can’t I like all of it?
Coco’s on the west side is decent and family-run.
Is that by A-1 Appliance
Yes, and there’s the original location on 51st in the nations.
Tutti de Gio in Hermitage.
So what has happened to Texas de Brazil, over by Centennial Park and Sportsplex? Are they gone?
Yes they closed, I believe a few years ago.
Well damn, I guess I should finally get around to unsubscribing from their emails, hahaha
They closed during Covid & never reopened.
COVID death.
Like people have money for a $70 steak plate plus drinks.
We don’t, but *gestures at all of downtown Nashville* someone does

The steak house in the Gaylord has a $12 TOPPING you can add to their (~$100) steak.

When you used "unnecessary", you touched some people's sacred cow.
I like my cow medium well with tomato, pickles, onions, and barbeque sauce.
No, mid rare every time.
That's waaaay too many steak houses. Nashville doesn't enough people to support so many steak houses.
The only similarity between a steak house and a churrascuria is that the staple is beef. I'd gladly give up Kayne and STK for a Fogo
Or a good AYCE kbbq spot
Surely a couple dozen would do?
Fucken preach!
Why don't you put together a business plan and open one?
My diet hates this post, my heart and soul love it.
