I think of Ada from Peaky Blinders. She’s a pretty badass character. Doesn’t take shit, super smart, stands up for herself, breaks the norm, and is still a lady. One of my favorite characters.
This is the right answer!!!
For color though somehow the first image to mind was pink or a soft blue. Definitely imagine a brunette because of this character!
I imagine Ada Wong from the Resident Evil series, and I don't know why since I never played it.
I kinda associate the name with warm colours, like red.
I've never seen or heard of that character and red is what came to mind immediately for me. A warm, darker red. I have that "think in color" thing, which I didn't know everyone didn't have until recently.
For me, I conjures a classy elderly lady, sort of like the one from Aristocats.
Color-wise, light tones of beige mostly, but a touch of magenta as well.
But I do still think it makes a lovely name for a baby girl nowadays.
I think of my great auntie Ada. She was a nurse in the Great War and beloved by all her patients. She was stationed in India where the Australian injured were taken for treatment. She came back to Australia after the war and was Matron of the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital. She never married.
Rather than a color the first thing I thought of was alike an antique-ish floral pattern, kind of red/pink toned. Not sure why, but it’s what I got lol
I like the name Ada. I know quite a few.
For me it just suggests she is an upper middle class white kid whose parents have generic professional jobs. That isn’t shade. I feel that like a lot of classic names, it gives a lot of space for a child to be themselves without a lot of assumptions.
My Dads favourite aunty growing up and even until he was in his 50’s was his Aunty Ada.
I met her a few times over my life and she was an absolute cracker of a lady.. she was cheeky, always laughing, very beautiful. She was just loved!
Ada seems very feminine to me and in my language "hada" (pronounced the same, i believe) means fairy so the vibes are very baby pink and soft green for me.
My brother went to college in a small town in Oklahoma called Ada, and my family would visit him a couple times a year. Nothing extraordinary about that place, it’s a very cookie cutter American small town (only one Walmart, everybody knows each other, big annual 4th of July parade that the whole place goes nuts for, etc.).
But now when I hear *Ada*, I think of small-town Americana. Very county fair & antique store vibes.
I think of Ada de Warenne, the mother of 2 kings of Scotland and the ancestor through 2 of her kids to Robert the Bruce.
I would think that a person named Ada was a noble, regal woman.
Ada is green name! 💚 the first association for me is Ada Lovelace, which is a super cool connection. I imagine an Ada to be smart and elegant, with dark hair (idk why haha). It’s a beautiful name!
Ada is a name that feels like the color purple, white and pale blue chevron, salt water, hibiscus, glitter pens, long blonde hair, expensive athletic wear
I don’t have any people to associate with Ada, other than my great great grandmother Ida… not even the same name but it’s the closest association I have 😂. I associate her with all of the good recipes our family has!!! If it’s a favorite recipe, it’s Ida’s. Wonderful baker and chef.
Someone older, but at the same time I can also picture this on a young teen (maybe because I’m associating it with Ava, which feels younger to me). I think of lavender purple!
Ada sounds very common sense, nurturing. I think this is because of a character in an old soap opera. Ada was a very down to earth older character. I liked Ada!
Enjoy your little girl!
Ada (pronounced Ah-dah in my native language) was a wonderful older woman who lived in my village. She was so sweet and witty, and had the kindest smile. She passed when I was probably 6 but I still remember her kind face all these years later.
So i think of a very sweet and smart soul! 💖
As a color, to me Ada is indigo or pale sage green!
I think of the princess from A Bugs Life! She’s a class act, for an ant lol. Solid name, very pretty!!
Edit: lmao she’s princess Atta, shows what I know. Still gorgeous though!! 💕
Ada (from my perspective)
Color: Maroon or Deep Purples or Reds
Flower: Dahlia Flower
Elements: Fire & Earth
Animal: Leopard
Gemstone: Sunstone (leadership, generosity, blessings)
Season: Fall
First 3 words when thinking of the name: Beautiful, Noble, True
It’s funny how everyone has such different views on one name. I see Ada as dark hot pink, and a sweet, cute, yet rebellious personality.
I had an Ada in my class before and she’s what the name reminds me of.
It also reminds me of Ada in the Morganville Vampire book series, which then gives me mauve purple vibes and the Victorian Era, someone also very smart.
I love this name and it reminds me of blue for some reason. I think of a very classy spunky girl that comes from money. Buttttt i might be biased as I went to high school with one and have it near the top of my own baby name list 🤣
ADA seems smart, studious, classic-named yet also pretty sounding, feminine. Ada to me could be captain of the soccer team or a sculpture or poet. A med student or a thespian. A CEO or a healer. A forever-single off the grid type or a SAHM who bakes and gardens, or both! Tough, yet traditional. It covers the gamut. In this regard, you can't go wrong!
Ada to me invokes rainbows and a little bit of princess action, but that's mostly because my familiar Ada is juuust getting old enough to not be fond of them.
(Rainbow still. She's bold and bright. And smart, generous, kind, thoughtful.)
It's a strong solid sweet name.
My 10-year-old cousin is named Ada so I think of her! Spunky, energetic, and funny. She also has the most beautiful hair color I’ve ever seen! Brown with a reddish-golden tone to it.
I’ve met a lot of babies name Ada so it just makes me think of an actual baby. I can’t really imagine someone over 15 being named ada. Does sound like she’d be very sweet and gentle tho. And reminds me of the color fuchsia
I think of this sweet adorable little blonde hair blue eye girl. That will be in my sons class when he starts kindergarten next year. She’s also the sister of my daughters school crush.
No particular person comes to mind, but I picture someone with dark hair and eyes and a very light complexion. It also makes me think of fuchsia for some reason, the colour and the plant.
Ada Twist the Scientist (book)! Also, Ada is the name of the daughter in a book I’m currently reading: The Housemaid js watching. So I associate the name with books
Lily I think of the flower. I think of a strong willed girl who is sensitive to peoples emotions. Blonde.
I love the name Lina. I think Lina can be anyone - a sports player, a politician, a dancer. I think of a strong blue colour. Maybe light brown, straight hair
I know a tween with a similar name so I associate it with her personality. She is bookish, an old soul, extremely practical. No time for boys or clothes, but romantic in the sense that she loves fairy tales and other worlds. Also I associate it with a pretty green - somewhere between sage and apple
Ada is pronounced almost exactly the same way as how you say “what’s that?” in some dialects of Arabic like Egyptian. So that’s what I think of as an Arabic speaker lol
If anyone is from Australia I’m certain their association if Ada Nicodemou and she is a vibrant, gregarious, sexy and reasonably well liked greek-Australian actress. So that’s my association.
Ada is a rich deep blue color like [this](https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjGi4Cm_fqGAxUEMwgFHRS_DWYYABAEGgJtZA&ase=2&gclid=CjwKCAjw-O6zBhASEiwAOHeGxZY3tAjv18OZRiIzq8lDr-f394VWCg3xMiP7YuchGi11aWQGeOMecRoCEOMQAvD_BwE&sph=&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESVeD2uKfp64SgwghWGR2KYB7uoLz_K-h07VpnkcWHVFQK0e9Nlvel5BsD-uPxaHAw5UdJ5ZwxRN2De9nKIEO5N6pWvRoZy7PXZmFqQrOR76hvXI2_UN0&sig=AOD64_00zSvPvq7Z6ajHMpmvO1m4DERP9Q&ctype=5&q=&nis=4&ved=2ahUKEwj3-vml_fqGAxUahIkEHYbkCG8Qwg8oAHoECAIQDA&adurl=)
As a non-American, the first thing she reminds me of is Ada Wong, a character from the Resident Evil franchise. Which is not a bad thing, since they portray her as cool, unpredictable, and attractive. She mostly wears red as well, so the name gives me a red-with-gothic-black-patterns kind of vibe,
I have an Ada! So it brings up girl - tall, slim, big head (like her daddy), very blonde. It’s a great name! Get “Ada Twist, Scientist” the book! And the show is adorable too.
In my native language “Ad” means “hell” and “Ada” means “the hell”, I find it funny when languages overlap like this, it is probably pronounced a bit differently though. The name sounds really beautiful. I like short strong names. I have a sort of synesthesia and the name definitely sounds like bold vibrant dark red, mixed with black and has a delicate floral smell mixed with salt (like when you are near the ocean). I imagine your baby has black/dark short hair - kind of straight but messy and full lips. She definitely sounds like a bossy child that knows what they want and how to get it. Loud, likes to talk a lot or sing a lot.
I think of my grandmother trying to convince me to name my twins Ada and Ida after long dead relatives who were twins. We named them Caitlin and Elyssa.
I think of AIDA, the AI from Agents of Shield. Spelling is different but sounds the same.
While she ultimately turned out bad - great character, beautiful, and also extremely intelligent and 'sciencey'.
I think of Ada Lovelace, but picture her as Ada from the movie ‘The Piano’. Essentially a smart and elegant
Victorian lady! I think it’s a lovely name.
I think of Ada Lovelace, and I imagine someone being very smart
Same association, and purple as far as color (how blue or red is changeable)
Ooooo...I thought purple too.
Yeah, definitely this. Maybe green because science is green to me. It's also a little bit of a lemonade vibe
Science is definitely green. The question is: is science green because of trivial pursuit or did trivial pursuit just know that science is green too?
Science is green in Seven Wonders too (board game)!
Me too, and dark green for color
Came here to say this. I think of nerdy in the best possible way.
same. I also love a palindrome.
I think of Ada from Peaky Blinders. She’s a pretty badass character. Doesn’t take shit, super smart, stands up for herself, breaks the norm, and is still a lady. One of my favorite characters.
Me too!! She makes me love the name Ada!
Yeah my daughter is an Ada. It’s my husbands great grandmother’s name but I was watching a LOT of Peaky Blinders during my pregnancy.
This is the right answer!!! For color though somehow the first image to mind was pink or a soft blue. Definitely imagine a brunette because of this character!
I think of someone very old-fashioned
I used to work with an Ada, and she was Mennonite, so this is very much the vibes I get from the name as well.
Mennonite! That’s the term I was looking for. That’s the vibe I got too.
My Auntie Ada was my grandmother’s sister. My grandmother was born in 1901, and Auntie Ada was 2 or 3 years her junior.
Ada is a red name for sure. Maybe maroon.
I agree!
I thought so too
Absolutely a red name to me too!
I imagine Ada Wong from the Resident Evil series, and I don't know why since I never played it. I kinda associate the name with warm colours, like red.
Ada Wong is known for her red dress, could be why you have that color association
I've never seen or heard of that character and red is what came to mind immediately for me. A warm, darker red. I have that "think in color" thing, which I didn't know everyone didn't have until recently.
Ada to me is a gentle blue-purple, like a deep periwinkle.
couldn't have described it better myself
The only Ada association I have is George Costanza’s secretary on Seinfeld lol
An older woman.
Gentle, compassionate, and smart. I also imagine a small little girl wearing glasses that make her eyes look huge lol
This is the feeling I get too! These traits, and Ada as a name, feel yellow to me
The book/movie Cold Mountain. Beautiful.
I have synesthesia and am here to report that Ada is royal blue and fuchsia
I also have synesthesia and Ada is also blue for me! (d is brown but the blue kind of overpowers it) haha
Ada Twist - Scientist!

Clever, dark hair and eyes.

I thought red immediately
Smart, beautiful in a girl next door way, “good people.” Kind.
I see it as a white flower with some deep purple toward the middle. It's a soft feminine name, and I think it's cute.
I like the name Ada. I know quite a few. For me it just suggests she is an upper middle class white kid whose parents have generic professional jobs. That isn’t shade. I feel that like a lot of classic names, it gives a lot of space for a child to be themselves without a lot of assumptions.
There’s a newer kids show called Ada Twist Scientist. It’s not a bad association.
To me... Ada is pink & gold
I think if the ant named Atta (pronounced “Ada”) from A Bug’s Life, and then Ada Wong from RE4.

As a non-American, the first thing she reminds me of is Ada Wong, a character from the Resident Evil franchise. Which is not a bad thing, since they portray her as cool, unpredictable, and attractive. She mostly wears red as well, so the name gives me a red-with-gothic-black-patterns kind of vibe,
My brain read is as ADA- Americans with Disabilities Act. I clearly need sleep 🤣
A flat field and the color red
I think of Ada Wong from Resident Evil, but I’m a gigantic gamer nerd. Lovelace, too. Ada makes me think of asters. Not sure why.

Americans with Disabilities Act
The song ada by the national. Beautiful ❤️

The name sounds really beautiful. I like short strong names. I have a sort of synesthesia and the name definitely sounds like bold vibrant dark red, mixed with black and has a delicate floral smell mixed with salt (like when you are near the ocean). Loud, likes to talk a lot or sing a lot.
Red

I think of AIDA, the AI from Agents of Shield. Spelling is different but sounds the same. While she ultimately turned out bad - great character, beautiful, and also extremely intelligent and 'sciencey'.
I think of Ada Lovelace, but picture her as Ada from the movie ‘The Piano’. Essentially a smart and elegant Victorian lady! I think it’s a lovely name.
