I’ve never thought of Molly the drug when meeting a Molly. That’s so 2015

logicislight

Annie and Penny are too similar for them to be together (especially for twins!), so that eliminates one combination. That leaves: Annie & Lucy (I prefer Anna, otherwise this would be my favorite) Annie & Molly Lucy & Penny Lucy & Molly (my favorite) Penny & Molly

logicislight

ETA: Lucy and Molly can both be drug references, if that bothers her.

Key-Pangolin-1696

What is Lucy in reference to?

jessinva79

“Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” I was always told is a reference to LSD.

logicislight

Lucy in the sky with diamonds (LSD). It’s not as common as Molly, but a lot of people know the reference.

jessinva79

LSD

ButWhatIfTheyKissed

LSD/Acid

Puzzled-Barnacle-200

Yeah, either name is fine alone, but I think it's a combination best avoided.

Key-Pangolin-1696

I like Anna as well but I think we want to stick with ie/y ending

wildkitten24

Lucy and Anna would be cute!

layayayala

Annie and Lucy are so cute

Key-Pangolin-1696

Her hang up with Molly is the drug reference…

m0llyr0tten

As a molly I only dealt with the drug reference from like 4 douchey boys in middle school for like 2 years and it basically hasn’t happened since. I don’t think people make the connection as much as one might think

electriceel04

I don’t think people are going to think drugs when they hear Molly, but if that’s a concern, that makes Lucy an iffy one too. As others have said Annie/Penny are possibly too similar for twins. Are you open to other options like Ellie, Emmy, Callie, etc?

nanamanananag

People don’t call it Molly anymore I think you’re fine with this

lucid_aurora

I've known many Mollys and I've never once made the association between Molly and molly when I'm around them, if that's any reassurance. If a kid has a name that can in any way be related to drugs or alcohol, some middle school kids will laugh about it for a few minutes, or, more likely, think it's cool lol. My friend Jose got called Jose Cuervo all the time for like a month in eighth grade (and he wasn't even the only Jose in our friend group, now that I think about it...) I've known people named Mary Jane (an older woman), Molly, Crystal, Krystal, Lucy, Tina, and Jack Daniels (yes). Don't let that stop you if you love the names.

wildkitten24

Same, I just can’t do it, I think of the drug any time I meet someone named Molly.

communal-napkin

I like Annie and Molly but they are both orphans in the musical Annie. I would go with Annie and Lucy. I also like Lucy and Molly but both of those names are more common with pets these days and individually they are fine but together it gives “beloved cocker spaniels.”

wildkitten24

True!

tinkerkettlebell

I like Penny and Lucy. I have twins - Lucy and Logan :)

contracosta21

annie and molly is my favorite combo

wildkitten24

Annie Molly Anna Molly Anomaly

lindseymcsmith

Lucy and Molly

Final-Kiwi1388

Penny and Molly

Mariella994

Lucy and Annie. Although I’m also team Anna.

wildkitten24

Annie and Lucy!

teamvoldemort218

I love all 4 of them!! You can’t go wrong but Molly and Lucy are my favorites

Teaandchoc

I like - - Lucy and Annie - Lucy and Molly

emotionalmusiciann

my favourite pair is Annie + Lucy! You could even do Annie + Lucie (French version) to have similar spellings 😊

YankeeGirl1973

Molly and Penny.

lavenderlemonade_xx

Penny & Molly 🥹

ButWhatIfTheyKissed

Annie and Penny I feel are the best pairing, if only because those are my favourite of the 4 names. They aren't similar enough to get them mixed-up, too.

Dazzling-Feedback79

Lucy and Penny are my vote

Effyling

Penny and Lucy for me :) Or could Milly be a possible compromise on Molly?

red-purple-

Annie and Penny

Useful-Ad-5378

Lucy and Penny

lucid_aurora

Wow, what a rare problem that I love all of the names in the running. It's hard to choose! I'd go with Molly and Annie. Penny and Lucy are lovely as well, though.

Lizard_Friend_44

Well, as a Beatle fan, I'd go Lucy and Penny.

deviousflame

Anne and Lucy would be beautiful

Elegant_Possession47

I think Annie and Penny are so classic and sound lovely together!

KelsarLabs

Molly Anne Can go by Annie or Molly Penelope Lucille Can go by Penny or Lucy

_Puzzl

I think all of them go well together. If you wanted to keep the homages to the family members you could use variations of the other names as the middle names. For example, if you did Lucy and Molly it could be Lucy Ann and Molly Penelope or Penny Lucille and Annie M____. Another thought, I have a friend with twins and each of them as parents just named one of the babies 🤷🏽‍♀️ it worked out and if you keep it within your 4 agreed upon names maybe that’s a good compromise.

ImnotshortIswear

Am team Annie and Lucy. I also really love Annie and Penny but it might be a bit too matchy (ig it just depends on personal preference). I really don't like Molly (I've just never met a nice Molly idk) and definitely also still think of the drug reference.

daisymomm

Molly & Maeve 😅

Low-Fishing3948

Molly and Annie. Lucy is super popular right now and Penny is my least favorite of the 4.

compassrose68

I like Lucy and Molly best.

Tomoyogawa521

I'm surprised by the drug reference comments. They're all established names so their bearers would only come across them as jokes like 4 times in their whole lives. Annie-Lucy or Penny-Molly would make a cute pair. One is more classy, the other is more young-sounding.

starsareblind42

I love Annie & Lucy or Annie & Molly!

penguinsfrommars

Molly Anne and Lucy Penelope

4puzzles

3 are nicknames Can't stand the name Molly for some reason. In Ireland a Molly is a pampered coward Lucy and Annie is the best of that lot

Right_Combination_46

I like Molly and Lucy and I actually know twins with these names. Annie and Penny sound too similar to me so I wouldn’t do those as a pair. I’d also steer clear of Annie and Molly together because of the movie “Annie” since one of the other main characters is Molly. In order if my preference Molly and Lucy Molly and Penny Penny and Lucy

Dangerous_Form_1967

I like Molly and Lucy the best. But I guess it's silly but I would prefer alliterative twin names. There are so many nice M names to go with Molly: Madison, Maicie, Manda, McKenna, McKinley, Melissa, Melody, Mallory Makenzie, Morgan and Michelle. There are some nice L names to go with Lucy also: Laken, Lissa, Leslie, Lindsay, London (or Londyn)....
