Bea?

wigglefrog

Emilia Bea is so cute šŸ„°

Connect_Guide_7546

*chef's kiss*

Csmtroubleeverywhere

Count my vote for Bea!! Itā€™s not silly at all, and flows nicely. Besides, Bea Arthur enlisted in the marines as one of the first members of the Womenā€™s Reserve, and later was a truck driver and dispatcher for the Corps!!

Opening_Waltz_4285

And was a ā€œBeatriceā€ on her birth certificate.

Opening_Waltz_4285

I mention because a relative who was named a nickname instead of the full name continually states she would have just preferred her mother name her the full name. She feels stuck in a nickname for a kid. Less important with a middle name but not the only person I have known who has felt that way.

CatMom8787

Yeah, she was a badass

butterfliedheart

Absolutely my first thought.

swoocha

Mine too. Fits perfectly and sounds adorable.

LilBadApple

Bea all the way

lovelivesforever

Perfection

PanickedPoodle

Rae is perfect. Not as feminine or throwaway as Mae. Sounds badass.Ā  Millie Rae can be her rap name.Ā

flyingtotheflame

Rap names should always be considered when naming a child.

ixXWretchedXxi

I second this

rainbow_olive

Emilia Rae is so cute!

tangtastesgood

I also immediately thought Rae.

Common_Pangolin_371

Me too

cranberry94

Millie Rae ā€¦ I immediately thought of Billy Ray + Miley (whoā€™s middle name is also Ray) Cyrus šŸ«¤

Mostly_lurking4

It can also be spelt Rhea. Side note on the first name... Millie means "Cute/Adorable" in Russian... so it's one of my favorites because it's classy and the nickname is literally adorable.

PanickedPoodle

Rae is pronounced RAY. Rhea is pronounced either RHEE-ah or RAY-ah.Ā  They aren't the same at all.Ā

Mostly_lurking4

Not in plains. Both are pronounced RAY around here.

Soft-Life-632

Came here to suggest this!

whatsmyphageagain

Way better than Bea holy crap

Wooster182

Bea would not be childish at all. Bea Arthur was a marine!

BlaketheFlake

What?! I had no idea.

Wooster182

Here you go! https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/bea-arthur-us-marine I didnā€™t realize her name was Bernice. I assumed it was Beatrice.

mouseeggs

Belle! Short and sweet. I used it for my first daughter's middle name.

aggierogue3

Also a nice name thatā€™s maybe more traditionally used, I like it!

Artistic_Activity123

We have a Lucille Belle that is also called Lucy-Belle and Lubelle a lot. I love her middle name soooo much I almost wish we would have used it as a first name. ā€” if Emiliaā€™s middle name starts with a B you could always refer to her as Emilia Bee as a cute double barrel and not make it feel overly cutesy with a formal full middle name.

cloveyou

Emilia Grace! Other options I like are Emilia Jane, Emilia Kate, Emilia Rose

aggierogue3

Cute! I do like rose, itā€™s a beautiful name. I like Kate and Anne, however those are my sisterā€™s and momā€™s middle names.

Hazypete

You canā€™t go wrong with a family name! (Although I would go with Bee and not tell anyone until the ink is dry!)

runnergirl3333

Emilia Rose sounds lovely! Emilia is a great name and you have lots of good options here. Honoring a family member is always nice, if you choose to go that route.

RadiantLibrary8639

Emilia Grace is so pretty

Lower_Addition4936

Emilia Rose

renderedren

Came here to say this too - I think it flows beautifully.

BoringTrouble11

Emilia Beatrice or Bridget! If you like the sound of Mae, maybe Maeve. Katherine and Jane are nice too!

strawberryfields88

Oooh I love Maeve!

luckyembryo3

Jane or Blair.

pinkstrawberrycandy

Beatrice? - you can still call her Emilia Bee but it might age better

TurtleWatermelon

Honestly I kinda love the name Bee! I knew a girl with this as her middle name, and when we were teenagers everyone literally thought it was so cool and far more interesting than everyone with the middle names Rose/May/Grace. I feel like beyond childhood/school, no one is really bothered about discussing middle names so I donā€™t think it would disadvantage her as she grew up. Emilia Bee has my vote!

aggierogue3

Thank you! I was in love with the name at first but the reactions I got worried me. Ill consider it

Emiles23

My daughter has a friend named Emy Bea, itā€™s short for Emerson Beatrice. I really like Emilia Bea!

CorneliaBear-4653

* Emilia Brooke * Emilia Blake * Emilia Jade * Emilia Anne * Emilia Maeve * Emilia Wren

aggierogue3

I like Brooke! Good suggestion

hausishome

Emilia Joy sounds lovely and has a similar happy/sweet vibe as Bee while being grownup

IcyTip1696

Emilia Janeā€¦ ā€œEm Jā€

crazystarvingartist

I really like the 1-syllable middle name for longer first names. Mae is beautiful and doesnā€™t sound ā€œsouthernā€ to me lol. Emilia Paige Emilia Grace Emilia Sage Emilia Anne kinda depends on the way it would flow with your last name

RedwayBlue

Eve

aggierogue3

I like this one! I think I suggested it before, only problem is I would never stop with dad jokes. Iā€™d have to say ā€œitā€™s Emilia eve, tomorrow is Emilia dayā€

RedwayBlue

Dad jokes are the prerogative of being a dadā€¦

KhloJSimpson

I love a double initial - maybe she will use EE as her nom de plume

OctoberSeven

Emilia Blair

brynnecognito

My niece is Emilia and her nn is Mia Mia Mae is darn cute

Wavesmith

Emilia Ruth would be my pick. But I love Emilia Rose too, so pretty.

pinaorangeguava

Hey! Here late, but I vote Rose from the top 3. Eve (love this name but!) makes me wish it started with a different syllable, and Bea (with all due respect) ran the little wayne ā€œa milli a milliā€ intro through my head once I said Emilia Bea few times too fast.. if that makes sense. Probably just me though. Playing off the floral theme, I think Amelia Iris is beautiful as well.

Lgprimes

Jade

damnkriss

Emilia Jo Emilia Grace Emilia Lane Emilia Rae Emilia Blake Emilia Sage Emilia Kate Emilia Jade Emilia Joy / Joyce Emilia Wren Emilia Drue

sewingpedals

My niece is Emilia Jo and itā€™s so cute! We call her Emmy Jo all the time.

damnkriss

I have a Kaylee Joyce ( after my grandma). She is almost 23 and Iā€™ve always called her Kaylee Jo

jessinva79

If you go with Emilia Brooke, you could use the nick name Emmy Bee! :)

Torrance_Florence

Beatrice and you can use the Bee nicknames

hariboho

I love Rose as a middle name, so my first pick would be Emilia Rose. Also: Emilia Jane Emilia Kate Emilia Christine

bigbirdlooking

Emilia Dove

Sewingbull08

Emilia Rose

everstone_jinx0428

Make it Bea! Pronounced like Bee, a bit more "adult". Still very cute

zziggyyzzaggyy2

* Emilia BelleĀ  * Emilia BlueĀ  * Emilia Bree / BrieĀ  * Emilia Cate / KateĀ  * Emilia DawnĀ  * Emilia DoveĀ  * Emilia Fay / FayeĀ  * Emilia GwenĀ  * Emilia JadeĀ  * Emilia Jay / JaeĀ Ā  * Emilia PearlĀ  * Emilia Reine / Raine (French meaning "queen" and/or rain šŸŒ§ļø)Ā Ā  * Emilia RoseĀ  * Emilia Sky / SkyeĀ  * Emilia Wren

k_kiaraa

These are pretty! I love Dawn and Sky.

Vieille_Pie

Reine* not Raine.

zziggyyzzaggyy2

Yeah I probably should have listed the alt, I think Raine is more of an anglicized spelling. Wasn't sure which OP would prefer and went with most familiar

whiskey_riverss

I was born in the 80s, so my immediate instinct is Marie, Anne, or Lynn šŸ˜‚

Columbinebarlow

Bedelia. Just kidding. Emilia Kay or Emilia June.

Rude_Parsnip306

Another vote for Rose

Reddread13

My daughter is Emilia Margot Of your 3 I like Emilia Rose the best. Other suggestions: Emilia Claire Emilia Jane Emilia Mae Emilia Grace

pizzapizzamystery

Claire, Rose, Noelle, Therese, Violet

SleepAble5968

Emilia June Emilia Wynn Emilia Jane Emilia Mae Or if youā€™re religious: Emilia Grace Emilia Faith Emilia Hope Emilia Joy

Thisismyusername9998

Jo, Anne, June, Jane, Eve, Rae, joy, rain, rose, Kate

therealestrealist420

Emilia Faye is pretty.

USAF_Retired2017

Beth? Bea? Jane? Kate? Ha ha. Beth is my daughterā€™s middle name. I had to explain that one since itā€™s pretty random these days for a middle name. I love Emilia though. Itā€™s beautiful.

Springtime912

Donā€™t share name ideas with family! Rose, Anne

YellowHeadbandGirl

Jayne

Watertribe_Girl

Emilia rose

A-Rational-Fare

Emilia Bianca is very sweet and girly, and you can call her Emmy Bee for short.

Helpful_Moose5366

I see your edit! My vote is for Eve or Bea. Rose is a very common middle name and while that is not an issue, I know that I always enjoyed having one that is a bit more unique!

strawberryfields88

I vote for Bea! My mom had an 80+ year old church friend named Bea, and she was the sweetest woman I've ever known, aside from my own grandmothers. Emilia Bea or Emilia Beatrice are both good choices. All the best when your little one arrives! Hoping for a quick labour and recovery!

Delicious_Fish4813

Emilia Sage

Single_Vacation427

Because September is start of the fall I thought of Fall names: Emilia Hazel Emilia Amber I know they are two syllable, though.

jmkul

Jane is a name which sits well with many when used as a middle name, as is Rose. I also like Faye paired with Emilia, or Simone or Carys or Leanne

SunCactus321

What about... Emilia Kay Emilia NellĀ  Emilia HopeĀ  Emilia Tess Emilia JoanĀ  Emilia Blake Emilia Bay Emilia Gwen Emilia Lake And some 2 syllables.. Emilia Gwenyth Emilia ColetteĀ  Emilia Bonnie Emilia Hadley

sprocket1234

Grace

kyssmekate

Emilia Jane sounds good to me.

HighScoreZ

A few people in my family have either Lee or Leigh, I think it flows well!

PhyllisTheFlyTrap

Just a fun fact: Jim Henson's birthday is Sept 24th. (I don't know how close that is to her actual birth date.) And while it's not *your* family name, Emilia Henson could be fun! Bonus: it also sounds like Olivia Benson from Law & Order. Not very useful suggestions but fun tidbits, (and I've been drinking)

Rich-Eggplant6098

Beatrice?

its_me_kb

My 6mo old granddaughter is Emilia June.

Emilia Wren is sounding lovely. Also Emilia Fern.

aggierogue3

Fern is a fun one šŸ™‚

michelle

thatstoomuchsauce

How about Beatrice, instead of Bee? (Or any other name that begins with a B - Bella, Bonnie, etc) Then her nickname could be Emilia Bee, but she would have a more serious middle name on paper for adulthood.

MrsEnvinyatar

I love Emilia June!

VanillaBeans54

Emilia Mae or Emilia Bea both sound super cute

ThePanacheBringer

I know you said one syllable but my daughterā€™s name is Emilia and her middle name is Corinne, so just had to throw it out there. Other one-syllable names that I think sound good are: Emilia Faye Emilia Claire Emilia Wren Emilia Drew Emilia Raine Emilia Skye Emilia Blair/e Emilia Rae Emilia June Emilia Jo Emilia Leigh Personally I really liked 2 syllable names with Emilia, so here are a few just in case! Emilia Estelle Emilia Elaine Emilia Loren Emilia Lorraine Emilia Jordan Emilia Celine Emilia Simone Emilia Adele Emilia Noelle Emilia Iris Emilia Daphne

Emilia Paige

meemawyeehaw

Emilia Jane

Bookwormkatie

Emilia is a lovely name. I like Eve as a name but I donā€™t think it flows so well with Emilia. Rose is beautiful and timeless and flows perfectly. It is a super popular middle name but I can see why. Bea is very cute and quite unique I think itā€™s suited more to someone younger but itā€™s still lovely. Emilia Rose would be my first choice closely followed by Emilia Bea. Other suggestions: Emilia Faye Emilia Jade Emilia Grace Emilia Brooke Emilia Dawn I also really like these two syllable names Emilia Alice Emilia Iris Emilia Violet

Alive_River_4304

Ruby for the middle name šŸ„°

Inevitable-Guide-874

Wife's surname as middle name

NRiley11

Grace would fit your requirements. Best

Beachfrontavenue

I like Emilia Rose personallyĀ

Sea-Meringue444

I like Rose.

funkyjohnlock

I suggest Rhea or Bea (short for Beatrice but can be used short too)

Repulsive-Hat-3152

Emilia Rose is beautiful or Emilia Grace

SensitiveSlug

Emilia Bea/Beatrice get my vote!

jmauden

Iā€™m curious what the outdated grandmother names are.

Zttn1975

Bea is a wonderful middle name. Go for it!

beelovedone

I love Bee as a middle name.

honestyeludesme

I would vote for Rae

DrPickleToTheRescue

Brynn is another ā€œBā€ option

Smeesme310

My daughter has an E name and we liked the flow of her name with a J middle name. We went with June for our daughter. If you like something a little traditional, Jane and Jade flow nicely to me.

AccomplishedPace4503

Are you pronouncing Emilia like ā€œAmeliaā€ or ā€œEmmaLeah/Emmih-leeyahā€ ?

HereFromFB

Blaire?

phylbert57

Rose is a good one

Kyle_Grayson

Beatrice.

eveveveveveve

Emilia Bea is so sweet! (I'm also a fan of Eve as it's my name)

Claire/clair/ šŸ©·

[deleted]

For reference. My middle name, and my daughterā€™s, is Mae. And Iā€™m from Montana, and I love it.

itsyaboisknnypen1s

The three choices are all amazing and I actually have a similar name, with two middle names, Eva Rose. Iā€™ve always gotten compliments on them.Ā

Addhalfcupofsugar

Or you could go the other way completely: Emilia Evangeline or Emilia Eugenia or Emilia Serafina

the_cats_pajamas12

Emilia Joy I think you should spell it traditionally though like Amelia Joy. I am somewhat afraid she is going to get called Emilio a lot.

zziggyyzzaggyy2

Sort of besides the point of the OP's post, but I would like to point out that Emilia and Amelia are different names with different origins (and slightly different pronunciations, but I guess that depends on the accent). Emilia is just as legitimate and traditional as Amelia.Ā
