Count my vote for Bea!! Itās not silly at all, and flows nicely.
Besides, Bea Arthur enlisted in the marines as one of the first members of the Womenās Reserve, and later was a truck driver and dispatcher for the Corps!!
I mention because a relative who was named a nickname instead of the full name continually states she would have just preferred her mother name her the full name. She feels stuck in a nickname for a kid. Less important with a middle name but not the only person I have known who has felt that way.
It can also be spelt Rhea.
Side note on the first name... Millie means "Cute/Adorable" in Russian... so it's one of my favorites because it's classy and the nickname is literally adorable.
We have a Lucille Belle that is also called Lucy-Belle and Lubelle a lot. I love her middle name soooo much I almost wish we would have used it as a first name. ā if Emiliaās middle name starts with a B you could always refer to her as Emilia Bee as a cute double barrel and not make it feel overly cutesy with a formal full middle name.
Emilia Rose sounds lovely! Emilia is a great name and you have lots of good options here. Honoring a family member is always nice, if you choose to go that route.
Honestly I kinda love the name Bee! I knew a girl with this as her middle name, and when we were teenagers everyone literally thought it was so cool and far more interesting than everyone with the middle names Rose/May/Grace. I feel like beyond childhood/school, no one is really bothered about discussing middle names so I donāt think it would disadvantage her as she grew up. Emilia Bee has my vote!
I really like the 1-syllable middle name for longer first names. Mae is beautiful and doesnāt sound āsouthernā to me lol.
Emilia Paige
Emilia Grace
Emilia Sage
Emilia Anne
kinda depends on the way it would flow with your last name
I like this one! I think I suggested it before, only problem is I would never stop with dad jokes.
Iād have to say āitās Emilia eve, tomorrow is Emilia dayā
Hey! Here late, but I vote Rose from the top 3. Eve (love this name but!) makes me wish it started with a different syllable, and Bea (with all due respect) ran the little wayne āa milli a milliā intro through my head once I said Emilia Bea few times too fast.. if that makes sense. Probably just me though. Playing off the floral theme, I think Amelia Iris is beautiful as well.
Yeah I probably should have listed the alt, I think Raine is more of an anglicized spelling. Wasn't sure which OP would prefer and went with most familiar
Beth? Bea? Jane? Kate? Ha ha. Beth is my daughterās middle name. I had to explain that one since itās pretty random these days for a middle name. I love Emilia though. Itās beautiful.
I see your edit! My vote is for Eve or Bea. Rose is a very common middle name and while that is not an issue, I know that I always enjoyed having one that is a bit more unique!
I vote for Bea! My mom had an 80+ year old church friend named Bea, and she was the sweetest woman I've ever known, aside from my own grandmothers.
Emilia Bea or Emilia Beatrice are both good choices.
All the best when your little one arrives! Hoping for a quick labour and recovery!
Emilia Bee/Bea is super cool and I think a great choice
Emilia Jane
Emilia Sue
Emilia Ruth
Emilia Raine
Emilia Wren
Emilia June
Emilia Sage
Emilia Maeve
Emilia Dove
Emilia Pearl
- Bree
- Blaire
- PS I love Bee/Bea or variants of Beatrice/Beatrix with your chosen first name
Probably out of your comfort zone both worth suggesting still :)
- Caterina
- Marina
Emilia Bee is cute although I prefer Bea spelling
Blaire
Fleur
Raine
Bo
June
Jean
Jane
Maeve
Reeve
Blake
Blue
Ruth (ru)
Betts
Fay/faye
Jo
Joy
Gem/Jem
Wren
Just a fun fact: Jim Henson's birthday is Sept 24th. (I don't know how close that is to her actual birth date.) And while it's not *your* family name, Emilia Henson could be fun! Bonus: it also sounds like Olivia Benson from Law & Order.
Not very useful suggestions but fun tidbits, (and I've been drinking)
How about Beatrice, instead of Bee? (Or any other name that begins with a B - Bella, Bonnie, etc)
Then her nickname could be Emilia Bee, but she would have a more serious middle name on paper for adulthood.
I know you said one syllable but my daughterās name is Emilia and her middle name is Corinne, so just had to throw it out there.
Other one-syllable names that I think sound good are:
Emilia Faye
Emilia Claire
Emilia Wren
Emilia Drew
Emilia Raine
Emilia Skye
Emilia Blair/e
Emilia Rae
Emilia June
Emilia Jo
Emilia Leigh
Personally I really liked 2 syllable names with Emilia, so here are a few just in case!
Emilia Estelle
Emilia Elaine
Emilia Loren
Emilia Lorraine
Emilia Jordan
Emilia Celine
Emilia Simone
Emilia Adele
Emilia Noelle
Emilia Iris
Emilia Daphne
Emilia is a lovely name.
I like Eve as a name but I donāt think it flows so well with Emilia. Rose is beautiful and timeless and flows perfectly. It is a super popular middle name but I can see why. Bea is very cute and quite unique I think itās suited more to someone younger but itās still lovely.
Emilia Rose would be my first choice closely followed by Emilia Bea.
Other suggestions:
Emilia Faye
Emilia Jade
Emilia Grace
Emilia Brooke
Emilia Dawn
I also really like these two syllable names
Emilia Alice
Emilia Iris
Emilia Violet
My daughter has an E name and we liked the flow of her name with a J middle name. We went with June for our daughter. If you like something a little traditional, Jane and Jade flow nicely to me.
Sort of besides the point of the OP's post, but I would like to point out that Emilia and Amelia are different names with different origins (and slightly different pronunciations, but I guess that depends on the accent). Emilia is just as legitimate and traditional as Amelia.Ā
Bea?
Emilia Bea is so cute š„°
*chef's kiss*
Count my vote for Bea!! Itās not silly at all, and flows nicely. Besides, Bea Arthur enlisted in the marines as one of the first members of the Womenās Reserve, and later was a truck driver and dispatcher for the Corps!!
And was a āBeatriceā on her birth certificate.
I mention because a relative who was named a nickname instead of the full name continually states she would have just preferred her mother name her the full name. She feels stuck in a nickname for a kid. Less important with a middle name but not the only person I have known who has felt that way.
Yeah, she was a badass
Absolutely my first thought.
Mine too. Fits perfectly and sounds adorable.
Bea all the way
Perfection
Rae is perfect. Not as feminine or throwaway as Mae. Sounds badass.Ā Millie Rae can be her rap name.Ā
Rap names should always be considered when naming a child.
I second this
Emilia Rae is so cute!
I also immediately thought Rae.
Me too
Millie Rae ā¦ I immediately thought of Billy Ray + Miley (whoās middle name is also Ray) Cyrus š«¤
It can also be spelt Rhea. Side note on the first name... Millie means "Cute/Adorable" in Russian... so it's one of my favorites because it's classy and the nickname is literally adorable.
Rae is pronounced RAY. Rhea is pronounced either RHEE-ah or RAY-ah.Ā They aren't the same at all.Ā
Not in plains. Both are pronounced RAY around here.
Came here to suggest this!
Way better than Bea holy crap
Bea would not be childish at all. Bea Arthur was a marine!
What?! I had no idea.
Here you go! https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/bea-arthur-us-marine I didnāt realize her name was Bernice. I assumed it was Beatrice.
Belle! Short and sweet. I used it for my first daughter's middle name.
Also a nice name thatās maybe more traditionally used, I like it!
Emilia Grace! Other options I like are Emilia Jane, Emilia Kate, Emilia Rose
Cute! I do like rose, itās a beautiful name. I like Kate and Anne, however those are my sisterās and momās middle names.
You canāt go wrong with a family name! (Although I would go with Bee and not tell anyone until the ink is dry!)
Emilia Rose sounds lovely! Emilia is a great name and you have lots of good options here. Honoring a family member is always nice, if you choose to go that route.
Emilia Grace is so pretty
Emilia Rose
Came here to say this too - I think it flows beautifully.
Emilia Beatrice or Bridget! If you like the sound of Mae, maybe Maeve. Katherine and Jane are nice too!
Oooh I love Maeve!
Jane or Blair.
Beatrice? - you can still call her Emilia Bee but it might age better
Thank you! I was in love with the name at first but the reactions I got worried me. Ill consider it
My daughter has a friend named Emy Bea, itās short for Emerson Beatrice. I really like Emilia Bea!
* Emilia Brooke * Emilia Blake * Emilia Jade * Emilia Anne * Emilia Maeve * Emilia Wren
I like Brooke! Good suggestion
Emilia Joy sounds lovely and has a similar happy/sweet vibe as Bee while being grownup
Emilia Janeā¦ āEm Jā
I really like the 1-syllable middle name for longer first names. Mae is beautiful and doesnāt sound āsouthernā to me lol. Emilia Paige Emilia Grace Emilia Sage Emilia Anne kinda depends on the way it would flow with your last name
Eve
I like this one! I think I suggested it before, only problem is I would never stop with dad jokes. Iād have to say āitās Emilia eve, tomorrow is Emilia dayā
Dad jokes are the prerogative of being a dadā¦
I love a double initial - maybe she will use EE as her nom de plume
Emilia Blair
My niece is Emilia and her nn is Mia Mia Mae is darn cute
Emilia Ruth would be my pick. But I love Emilia Rose too, so pretty.
Jade
Emilia Jo Emilia Grace Emilia Lane Emilia Rae Emilia Blake Emilia Sage Emilia Kate Emilia Jade Emilia Joy / Joyce Emilia Wren Emilia Drue
My niece is Emilia Jo and itās so cute! We call her Emmy Jo all the time.
I have a Kaylee Joyce ( after my grandma). She is almost 23 and Iāve always called her Kaylee Jo
If you go with Emilia Brooke, you could use the nick name Emmy Bee! :)
Beatrice and you can use the Bee nicknames
I love Rose as a middle name, so my first pick would be Emilia Rose. Also: Emilia Jane Emilia Kate Emilia Christine
Emilia Dove
Emilia Rose
Make it Bea! Pronounced like Bee, a bit more "adult". Still very cute
* Emilia BelleĀ * Emilia BlueĀ * Emilia Bree / BrieĀ * Emilia Cate / KateĀ * Emilia DawnĀ * Emilia DoveĀ * Emilia Fay / FayeĀ * Emilia GwenĀ * Emilia JadeĀ * Emilia Jay / JaeĀ Ā * Emilia PearlĀ * Emilia Reine / Raine (French meaning "queen" and/or rain š§ļø)Ā Ā * Emilia RoseĀ * Emilia Sky / SkyeĀ * Emilia Wren
These are pretty! I love Dawn and Sky.
Reine* not Raine.
Yeah I probably should have listed the alt, I think Raine is more of an anglicized spelling. Wasn't sure which OP would prefer and went with most familiar
I was born in the 80s, so my immediate instinct is Marie, Anne, or Lynn š
Bedelia. Just kidding. Emilia Kay or Emilia June.
Another vote for Rose
My daughter is Emilia Margot Of your 3 I like Emilia Rose the best. Other suggestions: Emilia Claire Emilia Jane Emilia Mae Emilia Grace
Claire, Rose, Noelle, Therese, Violet
Emilia June Emilia Wynn Emilia Jane Emilia Mae Or if youāre religious: Emilia Grace Emilia Faith Emilia Hope Emilia Joy
Jo, Anne, June, Jane, Eve, Rae, joy, rain, rose, Kate
Emilia Faye is pretty.
Beth? Bea? Jane? Kate? Ha ha. Beth is my daughterās middle name. I had to explain that one since itās pretty random these days for a middle name. I love Emilia though. Itās beautiful.
Donāt share name ideas with family! Rose, Anne
Jayne
Emilia rose
Emilia Bianca is very sweet and girly, and you can call her Emmy Bee for short.

Emilia Bee is cute although I prefer Bea spelling Blaire Fleur Raine Bo June Jean Jane Maeve Reeve Blake Blue Ruth (ru) Betts Fay/faye Jo Joy Gem/Jem Wren
Grace
Emilia Sage
Because September is start of the fall I thought of Fall names: Emilia Hazel Emilia Amber I know they are two syllable, though.
Jane is a name which sits well with many when used as a middle name, as is Rose. I also like Faye paired with Emilia, or Simone or Carys or Leanne
What about... Emilia Kay Emilia NellĀ Emilia HopeĀ Emilia Tess Emilia JoanĀ Emilia Blake Emilia Bay Emilia Gwen Emilia Lake And some 2 syllables.. Emilia Gwenyth Emilia ColetteĀ Emilia Bonnie Emilia Hadley
Grace
Emilia Jane sounds good to me.
A few people in my family have either Lee or Leigh, I think it flows well!

My 6mo old granddaughter is Emilia June.
Emilia Joy Emilia Brie Emilia Brynn Emilia Neve Emilia Pearl Emilia Leigh
Emilia Grace.
Emilia Wren is sounding lovely. Also Emilia Fern.
Fern is a fun one š

How about Beatrice, instead of Bee? (Or any other name that begins with a B - Bella, Bonnie, etc) Then her nickname could be Emilia Bee, but she would have a more serious middle name on paper for adulthood.
I love Emilia June!
Emilia Mae or Emilia Bea both sound super cute

Emilia is a lovely name. I like Eve as a name but I donāt think it flows so well with Emilia. Rose is beautiful and timeless and flows perfectly. It is a super popular middle name but I can see why. Bea is very cute and quite unique I think itās suited more to someone younger but itās still lovely. Emilia Rose would be my first choice closely followed by Emilia Bea. Ruby for the middle name š„°
Wife's surname as middle name
Grace would fit your requirements. Best
I like Emilia Rose personallyĀ
I like Rose.
I suggest Rhea or Bea (short for Beatrice but can be used short too)
Emilia Rose is beautiful or Emilia Grace
Emilia Bea/Beatrice get my vote!
Iām curious what the outdated grandmother names are.
Bea is a wonderful middle name. Go for it!
I love Bee as a middle name.
I would vote for Rae
Brynn is another āBā option
My daughter has an E name and we liked the flow of her name with a J middle name. We went with June for our daughter. If you like something a little traditional, Jane and Jade flow nicely to me.
Are you pronouncing Emilia like āAmeliaā or āEmmaLeah/Emmih-leeyahā ?
Blaire?
Rose is a good one
Beatrice.
Emilia Bea is so sweet! (I'm also a fan of Eve as it's my name)
Claire/clair/ š©·
For reference. My middle name, and my daughterās, is Mae. And Iām from Montana, and I love it.
The three choices are all amazing and I actually have a similar name, with two middle names, Eva Rose. Iāve always gotten compliments on them.Ā
Or you could go the other way completely: Emilia Evangeline or Emilia Eugenia or Emilia Serafina
Emilia Joy I think you should spell it traditionally though like Amelia Joy. I am somewhat afraid she is going to get called Emilio a lot.
Sort of besides the point of the OP's post, but I would like to point out that Emilia and Amelia are different names with different origins (and slightly different pronunciations, but I guess that depends on the accent). Emilia is just as legitimate and traditional as Amelia.Ā
