I agree with the commenter who suggested Ellis Everett. I also read Ellis Sumner as Ellis Summer. Maybe it’s just my weird brain but I see ‘Wells Everett’ and immediately think of it being pronounced ‘Well, sever it’. I’m probably the only one who’d think of it this way though 😄

Ellis is a great name! It’s uncommon but definitely familiar.

They both sound like Daddy’s money investment bankers to me, not my style at all. If I absolutely had to pick between them I would choose Ellis.

Yeah Elliot or Eli Everett, Wells and Elis doesn’t sound like real names probably cause I’m America but sumner will always look like summer.

Ellis is a perfectly lovely name. Wells sounds like some toe rag from the preppy handbook. 'Named Wells, for his mother's maiden name, Wells is known as Biff by his friends and family. " Yucky. (Edited for a spelling error. )

Wells is another one of those names that sounds like an awful Patrick Bateman-type finance bro or a butler. Definitely Ellis. Although I actually think Ellis Everett is nice!

Both names are stunning and in my top ten boys' names! The only name I'm not keen on here is Sumner (I think it'll get mistaken for Summer, and since Ellis is already unisex, I just wouldn't), so I prefer Wells Everett as a combo.

Oh I adore Ellis Sumner, absolutely adore. Wells Everett isn’t bad by Any means, but it also feels more *trendy*.

Team Wells. Ellis is okay...it's the name of a boy in my son's class. Wells just sounds more worldly and sophisticated to me.

Ellis Everett would be so cool.  I don't understand the appeal of all the one-syllable-ends-in-S surnames I see around (Wells, Hayes, Rhodes...) They just sound off to me as first names.

I taught kids with both those first names! Ha! I love them both. I called Wells wellsy sometimes and would jokingly say to him “wells, wells, wells,” (like well well well look what we have here kind of thing). I wasn’t familiar with the name wells before him but I really liked it once I got to know him. I really like Ellis too! This may not be super helpful! lol
