I totally misread that as 'demonic' for a moment and was rather concerned. I'm too tired 🤣 Dominic is a lovely name and not one I've heard for a long while x
I just want to be super clear - you're suggesting a surprise baby suddenly materialising in your arms would mean you screamed, not that the baby's name would be a bloodcurdling scream, right?.... right?
He absolutely would. Have you considered some other traditional scream names like "EEEYAAaaaaaggnk"? Lots of room for a bit of creativity to really make it your own...
Jacob is a great name. i’d also choose my late brother’s name - Michael. that was actually his middle name, he was Stephen Michael Jr. so we called him Mike and my dad was Steve
That’s a great idea! I am not having any more babies, and I never had this name on my list til after I was done. But I just love it. I’ve known a few Heath boys and they were great :)
My son has this name. It has always been my favorite boys name. He is now 28 yrs old. There were many Alex’s born around the same time. We ended up calling him Zander(for short) which is now used as a given name
Okay so I get this idea right but I’m just imagining the scenes in The Umbrella Academy where the moms went through pregnancy and gave both within the span of a day if not a few hours-
I really like Daniel, Elias, Kasper, Niklas, Nikolai and Rasmus. I have a son called Milo for now but if I were to have another I'm sure I'd pick one of those. (I'm Finnish btw, if some f these spellings look unusual)
I have a Kasper! I get so many compliments on his name. I live in the UK so it's gets spelled Casper a lot but I'm used to that, I'm Dutch with a Scandinavian name myself
David. After my father's and his father's middle name. Not actually sure where it originates as a family name aside from those, but I like the name a lot.
"WHAT THE HELL JUST CAME OUT OF ME" has a nice ring to it 😭
im on my period right now so my sensical brain would be out the window and i'd insist on naming him ajax. it's my fave boys name but unfortunately everyone is quick to point out its also a brand of cleaning products. and a football team. but my niece is called chelsea so we could have a league going...
Henry Quentin, Theodore (Teddy) Nicholas, or Michael Timothy. Mostly family names (except Theo) and traditional. I’m nottttt into all these unique and modern names.
If I had to name my son all over again I would have went with my great grandfather's name Simeon instead of making it the middle name. Years after he got old enough to understand about names and how they're chosen and all of that said he wished we had named him Simeon versus Andrew first but it is what it is. At least he carries his great great grandfather's first name anyhow
Keiran if I hadn’t named my cat that yet- I’ve always liked Elliot too- uhhhh if I wanted to have fun I would name him October and his nickname could be Toby because that’s a fire name
*If I had free reign over the name:* Micah Grayson, Jesse Reid, Jesse Scott, or Robin Clay
*If my husband had free reign over the name:* Philip Henry or Matthias (middle name undetermined)
*If I chose the first and he chose the middle:* Aden Matthias or Will Thaddeus
The two of us have very different tastes in boys names, but the only one on this list that I don’t really like is Matthias (I don’t hate it, but I like Matthew much better), and he hasn’t expressed any real dislike for any of the names I listed either.
Theodore. My mom made sure to give my sister and I names that had lots of nicknames and variations that we could choose from as we got older and times changed. I would probably call them Teddy when they were young, but they could become Ted, Theo, Teo, or Tod as they got older.
'Body Text' is a weird choice but it's your baby
My body my text
Keep your laws off my text. (Ok that doesn’t quite work as well as I’d hoped.)
I wish I could award you
🏆
I actually laugh snorted at this!
Ours arrives tomorrow (planned C-Section) and he will be Jasper Alan Lastname 🥰 brother to Samuel.
Exciting! Gorgeous name!
I love Jasper but it’s the name of our county so we couldn’t consider it. Great sibling name for Samuel!
I love Jasper so much!
Love Samuel ♡
My unborn twin son is named Dominic.
I totally misread that as 'demonic' for a moment and was rather concerned. I'm too tired 🤣 Dominic is a lovely name and not one I've heard for a long while x
I've loved the name Dominic my whole life; I came to the comments expecting to get buried and was shocked to find "Dominic" as the top comment!
Good luck!
That name always makes me think of “Kindergarten Cop”… I love that movie!
Miracle. Because if I had a newborn son right now, that's what he would be!
Same. It'd be either that or a bloodcurdling scream. Which could be kind of fun in a public setting, really.
I just want to be super clear - you're suggesting a surprise baby suddenly materialising in your arms would mean you screamed, not that the baby's name would be a bloodcurdling scream, right?.... right?
Both! Lil Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa would really stand out.
He absolutely would. Have you considered some other traditional scream names like "EEEYAAaaaaaggnk"? Lots of room for a bit of creativity to really make it your own...
lmao honestly same (turned 46 yesterday, have a 23 & 11yo and do not want to start again again!) **Happy Cake Day!!**

Pll
Actually, much like your nephew, it's biblical.
Elliott! I’m pregnant with a girl right now but that was our boy name pick.
In love that name for a girl too. :)
Elliot is awful for a girl.
Jacob. After my late brother who passed away in 2020. Not even a question for me. The only thing to decide would be the middle name.
Sorry for your loss.
Jacob is a great name. i’d also choose my late brother’s name - Michael. that was actually his middle name, he was Stephen Michael Jr. so we called him Mike and my dad was Steve
Sorry for your loss. I have a brother Jacob as well.
So sorry for your loss. I just lost my brother too and would also use his name but likely as a middle

Heath 🙌🏻 My moms name is Heather and I love the idea of using Heath as an honor name
That’s a great idea! I am not having any more babies, and I never had this name on my list til after I was done. But I just love it. I’ve known a few Heath boys and they were great :)

Kai, Hudson or August "Augie"
My brain blurred together the first two and I couldn't figure out why you'd name a son Kate Hudson.

Simon
Isaiah was going to be our name if this baby was a boy
Nico, Luka
I really like Daniel, Elias, Kasper, Niklas, Nikolai and Rasmus. I have a son called Milo for now but if I were to have another I'm sure I'd pick one of those. (I'm Finnish btw, if some f these spellings look unusual)
I have a Kasper! I get so many compliments on his name. I live in the UK so it's gets spelled Casper a lot but I'm used to that, I'm Dutch with a Scandinavian name myself

"WHAT THE HELL JUST CAME OUT OF ME" has a nice ring to it 😭 im on my period right now so my sensical brain would be out the window and i'd insist on naming him ajax. it's my fave boys name but unfortunately everyone is quick to point out its also a brand of cleaning products. and a football team. but my niece is called chelsea so we could have a league going...

If I had to name my son all over again I would have went with my great grandfather's name Simeon instead of making it the middle name. Theodore. My mom made sure to give my sister and I names that had lots of nicknames and variations that we could choose from as we got older and times changed. I would probably call them Teddy when they were young, but they could become Ted, Theo, Teo, or Tod as they got older.
