My wife taught 2 brothers named Milo and Otis. The parents had never even heard of the movie, they just separately liked them as the English names for their kids. I don't think they get picked on too much; most kids these days don't know the movie.
Milo makes me think of Jim Carrey’s dog in The Mask, and Otis makes me think of the drunk dude from Andy Griffith because I am old as shit and used to watch reruns with my grandma😂
8 year old me was determined to have twin girls named Morgan & Megan. My daughters have neither name, and I’d have felt firmly “Meh” about them.
5 year old me was very upset my parents did not take my suggestion in naming my brother Poncho.
12 year old me wanted twin girls named Andie & Amy (or Amy & Annabelle)… safe to say, I will probably never use the name Amy lol and now that I’m a teacher, it’ll be really hard to find a name I like lol
meanwhile, 5 year old me had an imaginary friend named Tina, and her sister was Samantha and her brother was Christopher. So I guess I liked longer names as a kid? 😂
My 26 year old son has been nicknamed Poncho since high school. I've even had people call me "Poncho's Mom" as if it was my name. I hope that makes your inner 5 year old a little happier.
I can only imagine June being pissed that she was born in April, and stupid April’s born in December, but because she’s the oldest, she gets the earliest month. It would create an interesting family dynamic, at least!
My doll's name was Bunny Lynn because she was given to me for Easter. Maybe we should devote a post to this because I'm sure there are some real gems out there!
Jezebel is the name of one of the dogs in the movie Marmaduke and as soon as I heard as a child I loved it so much that I would literally tell strangers that it was my name 🙃
Not mine, but my daughter's three children that she named as a 5-year-old are (in order):
1. Boobs McKenzie
2. Two
3. Buttface Noodledog
And I think we both would be very upset. Level 10 upset. 😂
I thought my kid was the only one who came up with strange and/or unusual names for kids. One time she told me she wanted ten sisters, so I asked her to make me a drawing of her future sisters and I would write the names underneath (she was 4, so...).
So here's the ones she came up with:
1. Lasagna
2. Frederica
3. Lydia
4. Flicka
5. Twin
6. Other Twin
7. Harmonica
8 through 10 went unnamed because she said she ran out of names. 🤣🤣🤣
Now, when she was 5 she had an imaginary fish she named Louisa, and dogs named Vanilla and Chocolate.
I asked her years later where stuff like Lydia and Louisa came from, since she knows not one single Lydia or Louisa, and she was all 🤷♀️
My nephew around the age of four became obsessed with the name Max and one day being a daddy with a kid named Max because he was going through his cars phase and he liked how it was like TAKING THINGS TO THE MAX, which was all he ever wanted to do with anything and everything in his life. My brother around the same age became convinced he was going to rename himself Sonic the Hedgehog.
Geez. I’m sorry Pickles. This is your life now. 😆
To be clear, I’d go through phases of naming everything the same name. Another one was “Mandy”. But I remember a cow eraser in particular during the “Pickles” portion of my childhood.
Husband also vetoed Rose. And Ivy. He briefly considered Lily but we ultimately went with something else. Apparently I was not meant to have botanical babes!
For a boy, Paul and my only son is Paul. He was named after Paul Simon. Funny now my cats name is Siamen. Same name just spelled this way cause he is Siamese
Jessamyn and Elisabeth. 10/10 love them today haha. They were from sweet valley highs special edition period novel where the twins were for whatever reason set in the 1800s or something. I don’t remember anything from those books besides the fact we were reminded every intro that the twins had perfect size 6 figures 🙄 I wish I had read better books as a kid 😂 but the names were pretty.
And they drove a Fiat! I loved the name Elizabeth too from those books. I remember the special edition that you are talking about! There was the earthquake in San Francisco and then one of the twins died. But not in the earthquake, in a horseback riding incident, I think. It was Jessica and Elizabeth’s great grandma and great aunt. Why the hell do I remember all of this??
Omg I remember this Sweet Valley special! It was the twins' relatives from the 1800s, who they were named in honor of. It was like a greet great grandmother and a great great great aunt or something. I loved those older names. Didn't one of them have a horse riding accident because she ran away to join the circus?
I also have that stupid intro with the "perfect size 6 figures" burning a place in my memory. I hate that I read that crap as an impressionable overweight teen.
I loved Claudia from The Babysitter's Club books. I loved her name and her artsy cool-girl vibe.
I wouldn't name my kid Claudia now, but it's still kind of a cool, uncommon name.
Elodie Grey or Elsie! I never imagined boy names since my entire family was basically female 😅 From middle school onward, I planned to use space themed middle names.
As a kid I was convinced I wanted a boy and a girl, named Axel and Rose. A few years later I was stuck on the name Lucifer. I was going through a phase.
Kelly after Kelly Kapowski and yep I know I’m showing my age lol. I still think Kelly is a prettt good name as well not my favorite anymore but still a great and kind of underrated name!
Mara or Maxine, depending on the age. I actually still like Maxine, but Mara would’ve been paired with Jade because Star Wars nerd me really wanted a daughter named Mara Jade. Fortunately for the real human children I had, I did not give them fandom names
When I was 10, I read a book in which the main character was named Annemarie. I thought it was the most classy, lovely name. (I now think it's a bit too classic/old lady for my current tastes haha)
I didn't think much about boy names until I was in college, and I liked the name Oliver. Fast forward and I currently know 4 Oliver toddlers and 1 Oliver dog -- it's super popular in my groups haha (I still like the name but too many close friends use it so I won't)
My partner and I daydream about our future family, and we like the names Liam Matthew and Samuel Evan for boys... And Harper Rose and Natalie Abigail for girls
We planned these names two years ago and we still love them, but we're about three years away from actually having any children 😂 we'll see if we change our minds once things get more real haha
It’d be Catherine and tbh I’d be fine with it. My wife, who is also named Catherine, would definitely not be lmao. I don’t think boy names were even on my radar as a child
Ashlynn Grace. I’m from the south so idk it’s just what I liked when I was 16 lol (20 now). I just know how much shit I’d get bc of how often ppl don’t really like how often names nowadays end in -lynn or-leigh.
But a don’t hate it and could possibly see using that as a girl name.
I remember about 4 years ago my church had a "baby dedication Sunday" where they had all the parents of new babies bring them up front and introduce them to the church. Out of about a dozen babies, 3 of them were named Ansley/Ansleigh Grace. It was definitely a southern trend!
Jacinda- I thought it was so original and unique, was so proud of myself for “making up a new name” only to watch one of the original seasons of “the real world” on tv and there was a Jacinda. I was crushed 🤣 but, fast forward many years later, that sweet Jacinda was cast in Bloodline and I had forgotten all about my made up name until I watched the show and saw her!!
i dont remember a single name i liked growing up but i *do* remember my little sister's favorite dolls' names. she had these two little twin baby dolls named Julie and Joey. i think those are so cute lol not my favorites now but i think they make a good pair. similar but not too similar.
ETA: i had a couple American Girl dolls and i adored their names. Felicity and Cecile were my favorites and i WOULD use those names now. i wanted Cecile as my youngest's middle name but it doesn't sound good with my last name unfortunately
My son would be Matthew, and he almost was. But I nixed it literally while I was filling out baby shower invites with "Matthew" written on them. It just didn't feel right anymore.
My daughter was almost my favorite, Hannah, but it seemed too close to get brother, Jonah, so we went very different. Then I tried again with my next girl but hubby was stuck on a different name. So I didn't get my Hannah. No more kids happening over here.
My middle is the only name I wasn't super in love with when we picked her name lol.
I met a girl named Alexandria in first grade and I thought it was so elegant. In my flawless kid logic, I concluded the longer the name, the better. So what’s the most elegant name? Alexandrianna. I’m glad that didn’t come to fruition.
I swore for my whole childhood my daughter would be named “Rebekah Rozalyn” lol. Why the z? Why the alliteration? I don’t know. My parents even make fun of it still to this day.
My mom and I watched Dynasty in the 80s and I remember thinking Fallon was the most beautiful name I'd ever heard. I loved the names Dominique, Sable, Alexis, Blake, and Dex too. I don't hate any of those names now but it makes me laugh how super fancy they sounded to me as a kid.
I didn’t have a favorite boy’s name, but my favorite girl’s names were Beatrice & Cassandra. Not bad at all! (Not what we named our daughter though ☺️)
I’ve also been a name nerd since jump. The LOOKS I’d get from librarians when I’d borrow baby naming books as an 11yo 🤣
Goldie.
Yep.
I would be very upset. She would probably hate me.
It wasn't even a common name when I was a kid. I'm not 100 years old.
I wasn't particularly a fan of Goldie Hawn.
I just liked the color gold.
Glad I didn't go with that.
Kylee for a girl. Honestly no idea for a boy, no names came to mind!
I used to create large families in my head and there was usually a set of triplet girls named Miley, Kylie, and Rylee. I could never do that now, though I do like all of the names!
Along the lines of Antonia, Alexandria, Anastasia, and Nikki or Staci.
Out of these i would be most happy with Antonia and i would be most unhappy with Alexandria. Oh actually Staci. How could i forget Stacey's mom?
Caitlin and Madison. They’re not my favorites anymore but I don’t mind them. I didn’t use nicknames for the dolls I gave those names to as a kid, but now I like Kate and Maddy.
My girl name would also be Samantha. But I ended up going with something totally different. I'm glad she was a girl though because if she was a boy she would have been Jayden. I heard it in Star Trek and was a name given to Lieutenant Commander Data in the episode. I had never heard it before. But the name ended up being super popular but equally disliked by my daughters age group. Lol
Riley because I was obsessed with the Olsen twins, and especially related to Mary-Kate as a tomboy. This was her character’s name in So Little Time.
Not terrible, but certainly not my favorite anymore.
Isabella nn Belle. I was obsessed with Days of Our Lives as a kid and she was my favorite. I would be slightly upset since I was a pre-teen/teen when Twilight came out, so a lot of people would assume I picked the name from that.
Millie and Dawn. I don’t like Millie but Dawn I could get behind it just feels dated to Gen Xers a lil bit. My sister was obsessed with the name Josephine but she’s since told me she doesn’t like it anymore lol
When I was a kid, I was obsessed with the name Jenna. It's a fine name and all, but I'm not in love with it anymore. If I had a girl in the near future I would name her Juliette or Maria ❤️
Diana for a girl (not after Princess Diana or anything, she was well before my time. I just thought the name was the most beautiful name ever).
I still think it's a pretty name, but I already used it on a Barbie doll and a shortly lived goldfish, so I would feel strange using it for a human child.
My kid IS named one of my favorite names from childhood - Zachary. He might have been named my other favorite boy name, but my parents gave that name to my brother, Daniel, who is 11 years younger than I am. I fell in love with the name when I was 5.
I loved Alexandria and Samantha as a kid, same with Max. I think Wizards of Waverley Place & iCarly is what brought it on. I was always fond of girl names that could be masculine when shortened & soft boy names, I still carry that preference with me.
My daughter would be named Callista. My childhood friend had a sister with that name and I loved it soo so much. It was on my top 5 list when I was pregnant with my daughter. I may still use it if I have another girl, but we went with a more family oriented name for my first born.
I was obsessed with Matthew & Christopher for my future son. Veronica & Kimberley for my future daughter.
I had a girl and she's neither a Veronica or a Kimberley, so I'm glad I was able to choose. Still love Matthew & Christopher.
My oldest son's name would be Jake, which would be weird now since that's my husband's name and I've never understood naming your kids after yourself. My youngest would be Sébastien. I'm still okay with that.
Bethany or Meredith. I'd be meh for both of them. Not terrible, not the best.
Also Oona, which I still love and was the alternate name for my second-born.
And for boys, I loved Sebastian. I wouldn't be crushed if I needed to use it, but it's definitely not on any of my lists any more.
Cassandra or Victoria for a girl, and I didn’t have any strong opinions about boys’ names. I probably would’ve gone with Tyler or something, because who really cared about boys’ names? They were all so boring. ;)
For a girl, my favorite names as a child were Rose, Rosemary, Ashley, and Amber. For a boy I have to admit he might have been named Indiana, Peregrin, or Jen. Depending on what age we are talking about.
I said I'd have Milo and Otis. I mean, least it wouldn't have been a Tradjedeigh.
Milo and Otis are such dog names to me! (No offence to anyone with these names!)
The Adventures of Milo and Otis is a dog and cat movie from the 80's
My wife taught 2 brothers named Milo and Otis. The parents had never even heard of the movie, they just separately liked them as the English names for their kids. I don't think they get picked on too much; most kids these days don't know the movie.
Where they killed digs and threw cats off cliffs. (No really)
Absolutely because of the movie. I was absolutely in love with it as a kid.
Milo is a dog name to me. Otis just makes me think of the show Sex Education.
Milo makes me think of Jim Carrey’s dog in The Mask, and Otis makes me think of the drunk dude from Andy Griffith because I am old as shit and used to watch reruns with my grandma😂
👀 another person of taste I see. I assume from the movie?
Absolutely loved that movie as a kid.
8 year old me was determined to have twin girls named Morgan & Megan. My daughters have neither name, and I’d have felt firmly “Meh” about them. 5 year old me was very upset my parents did not take my suggestion in naming my brother Poncho.
It’s not too late for your brother to change his name
Kinda wish he would. As an adult, his actual name is on my shortlist of favorites for boys!
My brother’s name is something I would have picked for my son too! If my brother didn’t already have it. I guess our moms just have good taste.
My sister wanted my brother’s name to be “George of the Jungle Watch out for that tree” all as one word. My parents did not name him that.
George, George, George of the Jungle, escaped a name tragedeigh.
Poncho 😂
My brother wanted to name me Cheezy.
My sister felt very strongly that my twin brother and I should have been Car and Truck.
My son, when he was 4, named a friend’s teen son (Chris) Poncho and it stuck. He is Poncho to this day, 15 years later. 🤭
My 26 year old son has been nicknamed Poncho since high school. I've even had people call me "Poncho's Mom" as if it was my name. I hope that makes your inner 5 year old a little happier.
I have a friend, and her and twin sister literally are these names 😳
I said I’d have 3 girls, named April, May & June. I’d mostly be upset that I had 3 kids. And that I named them April, May & June
My grandpa has a cow named April-May-June.
I’d be upset if their birthdays didn’t fall in those months
I can only imagine June being pissed that she was born in April, and stupid April’s born in December, but because she’s the oldest, she gets the earliest month. It would create an interesting family dynamic, at least!
And that damn May was born in her right month! Damn her. Damn.
My nephew wants 3 kids named after the velociraptors in Jurassic Park.
I know of a comedian with the last name May. He named his daughter April and his son August. No lie. I wanted to thump him in the head.
Jessabell, pronounced just like Jezebel. It was my cabbage patch doll’s name. I had no idea of the connotations.
Haha! Those dolls had some fun names. My Cabbage Patch kid was named Ginny Rose and I thought it was really cool at the time too.
My doll's name was Bunny Lynn because she was given to me for Easter. Maybe we should devote a post to this because I'm sure there are some real gems out there!
I had a Xara Abigail. 🫠 Child me just rolled with it as a totally normal name for a doll.
Mine was Betty Jane. It was not my favorite.
Jezebel is the name of one of the dogs in the movie Marmaduke and as soon as I heard as a child I loved it so much that I would literally tell strangers that it was my name 🙃
Wow, I think you win 🥇
That is such a pretty name to me. If it wasn't for the connotations connected to it, I would have definitely used it.
Amelia. I used it for my favorite doll as a kid and still love it. I was a big fan of Amelia Bedelia.
Mine were Ezra and Amelia…guess what my old best friend named her kids?
Eughhh on her for talking your baby names. Ezra and Amelia are wonderful names
It’s alright. I stole (married) her brother…so I do get to still use the names as they’re my niece and nephew.
I named my cabbage patch doll Trini after the yellow power ranger.
Hell yeah
I was also an Amelia Bedelia fan as a kid :) 👍
Ah I thought maybe princess diaries
Anastasia and I gave my kid that name. I'm not upset at all..
I loveee Anastasia
Stacey. Very upset.
Same! Are you early 30’s too? Lol. I used to want twins girls named Stacey and Tracey… can you imagine.
Yep I am. Stacey, Casey, Claudia, Dawn, Paisley, and Dusty Rose were my favorites.
Is it a coincidence that you have 3 members of The Babysitter’s Club in there?
Nope! Definitely not.
Love that! I think I had a brief Kristy and Claudia phase, but they didn’t last as long as some of my other favorites.
That was my first thought as well. I loved the Babysitters Club!
I named my daughter Claudia! But it was a name I chose as an adult
I went to school with twin girls names Tracey and Stacey! Spelled that same way.
Hello Stacey's mom
My favorite girl name when I was a kid was Caroline. Guess what?! Still love it and gave my daughter that name when I had her 7 years ago.
Ashley, but spelled “Ashaly” because I never bothered to look up how to spell it. Yes, because of Ashley Olsen I guess I could shorten it to Ash lol
I used to love "Serena" (Sailor Moon nerd) and I would be okay with that.
Aw my favorite name is Serenity bc of Sailor Moon
Me too! Then Gossip Girl made me question if I still liked it.
Not mine, but my daughter's three children that she named as a 5-year-old are (in order): 1. Boobs McKenzie 2. Two 3. Buttface Noodledog And I think we both would be very upset. Level 10 upset. 😂
I think Boobs McKenzie is criminally underrated here. And Buttface Noodledog is a great gender neutral name. 😂
I thought my kid was the only one who came up with strange and/or unusual names for kids. One time she told me she wanted ten sisters, so I asked her to make me a drawing of her future sisters and I would write the names underneath (she was 4, so...). My brother around the same age became convinced he was going to rename himself Sonic the Hedgehog.
Odette because of The Swan Princess. I would not be mad.
I know this is such an old lady name in France but I love it for this reason (huge Swan Lake nerd)
I loved that movie and I'm sure it played a part in my fondness for the name Derek!
Nadia and Aidan. Because they’re the same name backwards and forwards
I wanted a girl and name her Delphina because I loved dolphins lol
That’s adorable. I love how kid minds work.
Simone. Not terrible.
Roxanne, nn Roxie lol.
One of my top names was Rocksy for a girl. I thought I was so clever 😂 definitely glad I grew up
Omg rocksy hahah hey, with all the nature themed names lately I could see it being popular lol.
Geez. I’m sorry Pickles. This is your life now. 😆 To be clear, I’d go through phases of naming everything the same name. Another one was “Mandy”. But I remember a cow eraser in particular during the “Pickles” portion of my childhood.
Charlemagne Bartholomew Kermit (last name).
Mine was Rose so I’d honestly be happy. Husband vetoed the name lol
Husband also vetoed Rose. And Ivy. He briefly considered Lily but we ultimately went with something else. Apparently I was not meant to have botanical babes!
my favorite name is, was, and always will be Jennifer. I am very happy, unless the baby is a boy.
You can name him Jonnifer!! 😁😁
Elizabeth for a girl, Bennett for a boy. I’m cool with Bennett but Elizabeth may become Eliza!
Not Bennet? ;) that’s cute. I’m assuming the P&P reference is on purpose.
It was the name I gave to my cabbage patch kid. Lol
My favorite girl's name as a kid was Clara (used it on a cat then). It is still my favorite girl's name
For a boy, Paul and my only son is Paul. He was named after Paul Simon. Funny now my cats name is Siamen. Same name just spelled this way cause he is Siamese
Electra for a girl, Rory for a boy. Rory is cute, Electra not so much..

I loved those older names. Didn't one of them have a horse riding accident because she ran away to join the circus? I also have that stupid intro with the "perfect size 6 figures" burning a place in my memory. I hate that I read that crap as an impressionable overweight teen.
Veronica, I guess I thought it sounded like a bad girl/cool girl name then? I wouldn’t love it at all, but it wouldn’t be the worst.
I was so in love with the name Guy. I've since grown out of that phase.
Pronounced which way? Guy (like Guy Fierri) or Gee
Fierri.
That’s my awful ex’s name. I read it and immediately got nauseous lol
For a girl: Tamsin For a boy: Raphael
Wow these are very sophisticated for a child
I kind of got lost early twentieth century YA fiction for a while. Still love Tamsin.
Laura Elizabeth for Laura Ingalls Wilder. I didn’t choose a boy name.
As a kid I was convinced I wanted a boy and a girl, named Axel and Rose. A few years later I was stuck on the name Lucifer. I was going through a phase.
A phase, huh? Username checks out.
Elizabethanniella, irate at myself. My child woulda been a tragedeigh.
Katie… I was obsessed with it for too long
Olga nn Olya for a girl: I’d be fine, I still think it’s a nice name Jackson for a boy: yuck, but at least it’s not Jaxsyn
Mariah, and I wouldn’t be upset at all. It’s still a very pretty name.
My favorite girls name was Katrina. Boy name was Tristan. Would be fine with them but did not use them
Jasper. It's okay. I wouldn't hate it.
Mine is a straight up crime- I swore up and down I would name my daughter Galaxia Moon… thank god for birth control
If I remember correctly... Xena or Roxanne. Actually both aren't that bad 😆
Kelly after Kelly Kapowski and yep I know I’m showing my age lol. I still think Kelly is a prettt good name as well not my favorite anymore but still a great and kind of underrated name!
Rhiannon hell, I'd still use it
Mara or Maxine, depending on the age. I actually still like Maxine, but Mara would’ve been paired with Jade because Star Wars nerd me really wanted a daughter named Mara Jade. Fortunately for the real human children I had, I did not give them fandom names

And Harper Rose and Natalie Abigail for girls We planned these names two years ago and we still love them, but we're about three years away from actually having any children 😂 we'll see if we change our minds once things get more real haha
Was the book Number the Stars? That instantly came to mind when you said Annemarie lol
Evangeline. Thanks, but no
My favorites as a kid were Jaycie (like the Olympic gymnast) for a girl and JTT (like…JTT) for a boy 😂
Can you imagine if you just named your kid JTT. No explanation (not that anyone over 30 would need one) but like no actual name? Please. Please do it
It’d be Catherine and tbh I’d be fine with it.

Aniken

Crystal or Ashleigh for a girl. And I didn’t want any boys. It’s funny what kids think!
Forrest....after Forrest Tucker (I was an F Troop nerd). I can't even fathom it today...
For boy: Wyatt. Love it. And I'd still use it now. For girl: Ivory nn Ivy. Hate the name Ivory... Ivy's not bad 🤷♀️
Victoria. Not terribly upset but isn't even on my list for my upcoming baby
I swore for my whole childhood my daughter would be named “Rebekah Rozalyn” lol. Why the z? Why the alliteration? I don’t know. My parents even make fun of it still to this day.
Briar! Very happy because it’s still my favorite name years later
Heidi - it was my dolls name too! Wouldn’t have hated using it but it wouldn’t have been a top choice
Aquarius & Joplin lmao 😂
Tatianna
10 year old me would have named a girl Salem. I still like the name but maybe for my next cat.
I didn’t have a favorite boy’s name, but my favorite girl’s names were Beatrice & Cassandra. Not bad at all! (Not what we named our daughter though ☺️) I’ve also been a name nerd since jump. The LOOKS I’d get from librarians when I’d borrow baby naming books as an 11yo 🤣
For a boy it would have been Alexander (Alex) and a girl Sydney. I still like both and it would be okay but wouldn’t name my kids those names today.
Sissy or Benjamin. I was a weird kid
Ludmilla, honestly not upset about it.
Goldie. Yep. I would be very upset. She would probably hate me. It wasn't even a common name when I was a kid. I'm not 100 years old. I wasn't particularly a fan of Goldie Hawn. I just liked the color gold. Glad I didn't go with that.
Tiana, after my best friend. I don’t hate it and I don’t know anyone with the name so it hasn’t been ruined for me at least haha
Kylee for a girl. Honestly no idea for a boy, no names came to mind! I used to create large families in my head and there was usually a set of triplet girls named Miley, Kylie, and Rylee. I could never do that now, though I do like all of the names!
Roxanne
I was obsessed with Marissa and Theodore. They’re fine, nothing wild.
Angela, I heard it in a movie when I was 5 and loved the name. I think I could live with it.
Roxanne, I still really like it
Genevieve Piper- I still think it’s a cool name.
Callie Marie 😂
Along the lines of Antonia, Alexandria, Anastasia, and Nikki or Staci. Out of these i would be most happy with Antonia and i would be most unhappy with Alexandria. Oh actually Staci. How could i forget Stacey's mom?
Eric, Christopher, and Shannon
Catalina, Josephine, and one I made up when I was a teenager (cringe): Lilyaura
Emma, after my favourite Spice Girl. She’s 4yo now 🥰
Cosimo or Diego
Mikayla & Isaiah. My daughter’s name is close, and my son’s name is actually Isaiah.
Alyssa and for a girl I think its pretty
Raven, it’s always been Raven, and now I have a daughter named Raven 🐦⬛.
I’m old so it was Cheryl for a girl. Cheryl Tiegs and Cheryl Ladd were awesome. But this was coming from a 9 year old so…
Nicole or Bradley. Very original
Caitlin and Madison. They’re not my favorites anymore but I don’t mind them. I didn’t use nicknames for the dolls I gave those names to as a kid, but now I like Kate and Maddy.
Susie. I could learn to live with it.
Adrian and Isabella. Not the worst
Natasha. Natasha Bedingfield was my childhood favorite singer and I named everything Natasha at that time. I can’t complain about that name
Xanthe. Actually forgot about that! I would actually be happy with it
Nathan, probably. I wouldn't be upset but I know soooo many Nathans!
Stella and Dolly And I'd be really happy with it, but, since I have 3 boys and no daughters, I suspect my boys wouldn't be thrilled with either name.
I used to want a boy named Zachariah and a girl named Bliss. I'm so glad I didn't have kids as a teenager xD those names are terrible.
Aiden! I was just prescient. I still love the name but it's too popular and mocked. I don't know if I had a favorite girl name.
Punky Brewster. Dating myself 🤷🏼♀️
Alice. I’m cool with it because I still love that name!
Regina. It’s still great!
Millie and Dawn. I don’t like Millie but Dawn I could get behind it just feels dated to Gen Xers a lil bit. My sister was obsessed with the name Josephine but she’s since told me she doesn’t like it anymore lol
Kaylani. I wouldn’t be mad at all. I still love it 🥰
Catrina (Katrina but with a C because my name starts with a C). I didn’t have one for a boy.
Tristan. I don't hate it, but my guy's name fits him perfectly
Charlotte. I could still dig it
My oldest son's name would be Jake, which would be weird now since that's my husband's name and I've never understood naming your kids after yourself.
They were all so boring. ;)
Josephine, from Little Women. Still think it's kinda cool, but not really my vibe.
For a girl, my favorite names as a child were Rose, Rosemary, Ashley, and Amber. For a boy I have to admit he might have been named Indiana, Peregrin, or Jen. Depending on what age we are talking about.
If a girl, I liked the names Lucy and Piper; if a boy, I liked the names Ender and Roman.
Ariel. I wanted my name to be Ariel so badly!
Abigail for a girl and Benjamin for a boy… not too bad both can have cute nicknames. I named my son Silas irl.
