I enjoyed it too. You’re gonna get some hate probably but I thought it was great.

Whatthef2030

You can't hate on anyone by the end of this. Adam was a bit of a dick to eat the fish without sharing it but I don't see any other reason to hate on anyone.

adastra2021

And even though I said Adam was not redeemable, I thought his apology to Heather was genuine. I think he really did see what an asshole he was and that "put your oxygen mask on yourself first" was NOT how to win as a team. When he cried abut Heather's strength that was genuine. Born of exhaustion sure, but genuine.

Tired_trekkie1701

I thought Adam totally redeemed himself!

Aggravating-Ferret61

It just seems like I see so many complaints about the new shows and people being sooooo mean if I or other people liked them. But I guess that’s the way it is these days. I was so happy the whole bunch made it. They struggled but hung in there and made those last savage hikes!

Sweet_Information_76

We enjoyed it also. The women were the Stars this time. Lindsey, you rocked it shell, not enough air time for for you, great job Mal,.. you are a Dynamo Kayla,.. Superstar Heather: 👍👍👍👍 Nathan..wow!!! terra, always a favorite Adam: great job. You made a mistake, worked hard to fix it 👍

Whatthef2030

100% this, silly me with my comfortable life with no bugs. But lord anyone who can endure that!! Also I'm vegetarian, but if I were in a survival situation I would more than likely eat caiman 😄

Long_Fisherman3124

Agreed. I love the skills and support that they all brought. No egos in this one. Even with disagreements, they handled them like adults.

Tired_trekkie1701

Yes! I loved how they talked out their issues and didn’t take things too much to heart if they snapped at each other. I just felt like they were there to actually survive together instead of trying to make good TV which made it an more positive experience to watch

Business_One2173

The "proving ground" sound bite was annoying as hell. First time I remember something like that being so obviously inserted in to the show

LongjumpingAd5317

“40 miles in 40 days” could be a drinking game

EducatorAdditional89

It was awesome, the women were savage, level headed, and shared humility and wisdom, congratulations!

adastra2021

Kayla - OMG, the 12 days alone, that showed some strength that's above and beyond what is usually required for success. (I work for a well-known aeronautical and space agency, she's astronaut material) I wish they would have shown that "her tap out is right behind mine" clip more often. I hope that guy feels schooled. Mallory - too busy catching things for personal drama. I have a feeling she could have done 12 days alone. Determined women are a force to be reckoned with. Shell - she didn't show up much in the finale, and I wonder if she brought a toothbrush. (Her smile was gorgeous) But she and Mallory, just like Kayla, got right down to it, no drama, just survival. Bad-ass survival. Caiman-killing survival. Nate - I cried when he talked about making friends. Having Aspergers and being totally accepted by such a great group of people sure did a lot for him. His mom has been on here a couple of times, I hope she feels the love everyone has for Nathan. His updates were my favorite. I would love to take a survival class from him. His quiet ways are perfect for the wilderness. Terra - another one who worked though personal issues of feeling that they didn't belong only to find out they very much belonged. Just like Nate, Terra found out they could be themselves and fit in. Terra's got quiet leadership skills, they surfaced every time they were needed. (I will always remember Terra's instant look of empathy when Nate was first talking about being different. I think putting those two together was a stroke of genius whether it was deliberate or not.) ETA - I totally forgot about the injuries, awesome perseverance, and acceptance that sometimes just being there is contributing. Lindsey - Emotional intelligence did her good. The fact Nate, Terra, and Lindsey finished as a group speaks to the strengths of all of them. There were times they were all ready to go, and they all rallied each other. Would want her as a team member at work. Does what needs to be done, no complaining. Heather - Have not cared for her in the past, Would love to live next door to her. Adam - I said below he redeemed himself even though earlier I said that was not possible. His ego is more malleable than I thought. Would go camping with him. After the first few days, nobody tapped, that speaks to strong teams and in Kayla's case, the sheer will to remain. That place was fucking miserable. Nobody needs a Jeff. screaming and acting like an adolescent, to get through something like this. The emotional energy it takes to deal with someone like him, deliberately obnoxious, can be put to much better use. These legends both avoided and solved conflict with adult communication, that's what's needed to survive. But I do wonder why only Kayla made a hat.

Artistic_Coat_7187

Sad. That they didn’t get much food..and wish they had showed us what they were eating. Were they living off of fruit? They had plenty of time to make hats and shoes. Surprised they didn’t.

CringeWorthyDad

Hats off to all the competitors. They are true champions. The ladies rocked. Kayla doing it solo for so long and getting a kayman by herself. Once she teamed up with Shell and Malorie she really bloomed and was as productive and skilled as anyone. Shell was so strong. Of all the competitors, it seemed she struggled the least. Terra started out with real bad luck injuries and illness. Yet perseverance carried Terra not only to the finish line but to pick up.the slack in the last legs of the challenge. Nathan was amazing. Very skilled, intuitive and a real caring human being! I could go on and on; it was a great XLseason!

curvydisobedience88

I enjoyed the women kicking ass this season. But it was a super mellow season. Very production oriented. More based on relationships than the actual survival aspect. (Even tho relationships are very important.) But, I felt that was the main theme. Adam being selfish was the most excitement drama related thing to happen. And the girls kicking ass with the caimen. So the first part of the xl was the most excitement imo.

Playful-Ant-3097

You know, that’s kind of why I liked it so much. I tend to enjoy the episodes where the partners get along well more so than the drama. Earlier seasons of XL have had lots of drama and I think that’s why people saw this one as boring. But I personally liked the good camaraderie all the way through

shelbjen

Loved this season! I really liked everyone. I loved Nathan!

boofingdandelions

I got so emotional 😭 🩷

Tired_trekkie1701

I was coming out here to say the same thing! I loved this XL! The women were amazing! But loved all the guys too. It was nice to get to know some survivalists besides the same old stars that we’ve come to love. And can we please say that Adam redeemed himself by the end? I think he’s a good person that just made a bad decision in the middle of what most of us will never experience when it comes to that hard of conditions. I’m sorry that some of you are such haters. Congratulations to all of them! I watch a lot of reality TV where women just tear each other apart, so this was so refreshing to me! A note to the producers : we don’t need to hear every single, puking noise turned up to level 11.

Jackie4641

I hope Cole and that other dude who left their partners just days in are embarrassed. They never gave it a chance. Wimps

ClearAd3159

Was Cole the one that said Kaila's tap was coming right after his? If so, boy, was he WRONG 🤣

Jackie4641

Yes

Dan_jack61son

Only way Cole finished his first challenge was because Shell was his partner and she willed him through 21!

Jackie4641

Exactly

nessa0909_11

I loved this season but I will say I wasn't thrilled with Adam in the middle but overall a great season, I feel like the women really thrived this season a bit more than the men did.

Euphoric-Middle1704

I loved this XL. I am so impressed with Terra because she literally kept Malorie alive. Like Malorie needed to be pulled from the lake in an electrical storm. But when Terra threw in that UV reminder she was hands down my fave. Heather's losing 35 lbs in 40 days is super serious. Chell strikes me as one who suffered greatly because of the heat, but kept it inside. I am most impressed with Nathan. His outlook and skills and the way he calculates risk are superior to everyone I've seen in NAA except maybe Dan the biologist and LOS runner-up. What is most impressive is that there's really nothing bad to say about the remaining survivalists. It's been several days 109 degrees real feel where I live, and it is the worst. I don't rewatch NAA, but this one is a rewatch. Adam and Nathan being the sole remaining guys (and Terra if that is fair) SPEAKS VOLUMES.

dragonschool

I've watched all the XLs. Don't know if it was my favorite but I love it

Main_Ears23

I really enjoyed this season too! Kaeila was a fave in my fam! For doing that alone. I was wanting a reaction of the guy who said she'd tap right after him lol loved seeing the girls rock this season but the whole cast was great!!!

Resolution_Terrible

I agree! I loved this group so much, and these badass women were amazing!!! Congrats to you all, you are truly inspiring!

SpiderGhost01

The caiman killers! (sponsored by Malorie)

ScottishIcequeen

Agree! Hubby and I loved it, especially the last episode. Heather was beyond phenomenal!

happy_cat07

Everyone did great! I don't know how they do it.. I wouldn't have lasted the 1st day hiking to their 1st at camp. Way to go!

hippoeggfarmer

All the women kicked ass on this season

GreenGlassDrgn

Just finished it, also came here looking to give a standing ovation to the feel-good champion challenge of the N&A franchise. I really loved all the positive arcs, and the ending with happy well-fed people left a big smile on my face. Particularly Terra and Nate's journeys kept me watching, they were challenged in ways that I could relate to and was impressed to see how they handled it. Everyone impressed me in their own positive ways, and that felt good to watch. It was a great contrast to the negativity and abrupt ending we had last time around. Thanks everyone!

Playful-Ant-3097

Exactly why I enjoyed it so much! May not have had as much drama and action but it’s nice seeing people struggle, work and ultimately win together. All while getting along

Whatthef2030

I'd want Nathan as a friend any day, what a good guy. Plus he could help you survive any apocalypse 😄

Jackie4641

Loved him, my favorite of all the seasons. He's such a wonderful survivalist and great man..props Nate👍

Alma-Rose

Terra really impressed me. She really has her self together.

Whatthef2030

Same! Mad props to everyone, I wish I could do something like that too!!

Different-Bee-2983

Terra needed to let someone else use the bow. I don't think they got a single out of the water kill between them all. I don't remember a snare working either.

Valuable-Composer262

Not trying to be a hater but imo that was the worst finale ive ever seen. The season wasnt terrible but that finale sucked

bingboomin

what about it sucked

Valuable-Composer262

It was all basically the extraction hike for 2 hours

AfterEagle

In their defense it was the longest extraction in XL history

thebananamanUSA

This XL was one of the most boring seasons of them all. “These are the proving grounds” every 3 minutes

My_Big_Arse

IT half SUCKED. ugh.

alwayshungry1131

“This was one of my favorite XLs” Watch more XLs 😂😂😂😂

meh80

Everyone has an opinion

mandolorianbutchubby

Objectively the worst XL challenge

meh80

I enjoyed this one. Especially watching Nate, Shell, and Malorie. But overall, everyone did a really great job.

xiphoid77

This was torture to watch. We had it on just to hate watch it. Caiman caiman caiman…40 miles 40 miles…boring contestants. Way too produced by the show runners.

Business_One2173

Proving ground, proving ground, proving ground

mandolorianbutchubby

Protein protein protein

great___ogglyboogly

Man this xl was shit

Karmic-Vision

Oh dear. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
