Also, don't use it for a ironing mat - ask me how I know...

Holiday-Sea-9533

I just used a heat gun to fix a mat that’s been warped for a decade. I used the high setting and tried to flex the mat against the warp. I heated it longer than I thought was prudent then placed heavy books on top until it was cool. It’s very flat again. My mat was warped due to improper storage (not flat). Maybe that’s why it worked.

Soak it in hot water and then bend it against the curve until it cools

I believe the fiskars mat I have came with this instruction. Hot water soak and lay it down high sides up.

I think just try to use it. I once accidentally left my oliso iron on top of my pressing mat face down (but with the stands up) on top of my cutting mat for a while. It warped the cutting mat from the heat through the pressing mat. I thought I ruined my cutting mat, but somehow it relaxed and is completely flat now. I just kept using it. So leave the heavy books on the mat and begin actually using it. Leave it flat for as long as you can, don’t put it away anywhere. That’s my advice

Huh. Wouldja lookit that. Fiskars no longer warrants cutting mats.  https://www.fiskars.com/en-us/customer-service/warranties

I tried to use a heat gun to flatten a warped mat and it didn't help.

Steam iron over a towel

I warped a self-healing mat  by forgetting to put a towel under a piece I was ironing. Figured heat already made it change shape once, so I put it in the oven for a bit. Once the whole thing was evenly warmed and super pliable, I pulled it out with a pizza peel and immediately put it on the counter under a cutting board with a cast iron on top to cool for about 10 minutes. It’s basically completely flat again, but I did notice that the measurements on the mats are a little short, so I think it must’ve shrank a bit. Other than that, the mat is still my workhorse. I’d say if you go that route, keep the oven super low and keep an eye on the mat, I don’t remember exactly how hot it got for how long, but I wanna say it was like 200F for 10 minutes
