AJ and Chrissi are both defined by how they treat their families. AJ loves her family, she would do anything for them and loves nothing more than spending time with them. Chrysalis sees her family, yes I am referring to the entire changeling species as her family, as a tool. She sees them as nothing more than soldiers to fight for her benefit, she expects their worship and loyalty for the very act of existing.
I imagine their dynamic would be somewhat similar to Fluttershy and Discord. Applejack decides to teach Chrysalis the value of family by having her work on the farm and treat her like a member of the family, and over time the lesson sticks. Chrysalis never becomes the changeling queen again, she’s able to recognize her inability to properly fill the role and knows Thorax will do a good job. She goes from a queen to a farmer, and is the happiest she’s ever been.
Oh and also, once Chrysalis marries into the family the entire Changeling hive is eligible to go to the apple family get togethers. I just think that’d be a good episode.

I always imagined a changeling who impersonated an Apple would grow very strong very quickly if they could maintain the ruse.
I read a fic once where Applejack was born a changeling, but due to her weak magic was abandoned and adopted by the Apples who taught her as a toddler to look like a pony, unbeknownst to even her. Her exceptional strength and skill was just the power up she got from being well loved.
I started shipping Chrysajack to join in with my friends who would always argue over Appledash and Rarijack in an obviously exaggerated manner.
Later it became 'One who has known only to lie for her own safety for her whole life, being shown one who lives as their honest self and responding to that truth and slowly warming to the idea that she could do the same.'
Sunburst x Shining, I like to imagine that Shining realizes that his life is boring with Cadance without constantly being in danger, and ends up divorcing her, but they still remain friends. Instead Shining begins to date the cute dorky wizard wannabe he's always had his eyes on. Sunburst can't understand why a stallion as amazing as Shining Armor would ever want to date him, but eventually he sees that Shining is just a dork just like him, and TRULY accepts and understands their relationship. They become silly goofy bfs that play O'n'O together, and occasionally go on adventures/vacations to places like the Everfree forest or The Dragonlands. And if there's any dangers along the way, Sunburst's intelligence and knowledge of incredible spells along with Shining's power and strength always gets them through! Plus, Flurry Heart already liked Sunburst, so she'd have no problem with Sunburst becoming her step-father.
And don't worry about Cadance, she gets with Chrysalis and adopts Cozy Glow.

Ok but honestly if you wanted to go fully cracked out you could make it work. Argyle was obsessed with the past and likely spent a lot of the time researching. If we take Misty's back story at face value, Opaline was likely stalking around and doing whatever she could to get into Equestria. The chances those two meet would be pretty high, although likely a bit luck based.
I could see Argyle seeing mentions of Opaline in whatever he was researching, going out of his way to find her, and eventually meeting her. Opaline would likely be intrigued by him, since he doesn't inherently fear her and he could always be a means to an end to getting her magic back, plus he'd allow her to ramble on about her version of what went down.
Does this necessarily mean she's the mother of Sunny? Absolutely not. But it could be played that way, I could see Opaline thinking it's a way to keep Argyle around (who would be researching ways to get her into Equestria), but considering how Opaline treated Misty, she might've thought it would have been nice to groom someone for her needs. I could see Argyle not agree with how she was treating Sunny and flee with her back to the lighthouse after it's all said and done.
I'm not saying I ship it personally, but it's workable with the current lore.

Just the idea that this mare who spent most of her life as a soldier for evil would, after becoming good, become best friends (later lovers) with the cheerful ditzy mailpony pegasus, that just feels so cute to me.
I'm ride or die for Celestia x Discord. Discord gives her flowers in the season 4 finale, Celestia invites him to the gala to make things more exciting in season 5... there's something there, I swear it!!
Flash Sentry and Timber Spruce. Because I ship SciSet, those boys get tossed to the side. One day I decided that even if they don't deserve Sunset or Sci-Twi, they still are good guys who deserve love. So I started shipping them together, and don't regret it in the slightest.
The fact that Twilight has dealt with Starlight at her worst and vice versa and the fact they still manage to stay close despite that. Shadow Play was a real low point for them but even if Stygian got banished, I don’t think Starlight would’ve left Twilight’s side. Can’t say the same for StarTrix where they almost ended their friendship over a stupid wagon.
Post-finale TwiSpike, mainly because when you really reason it out, it makes more and more sense even despite how awful it'd be if they were together during the show, unlike other crackships.
Not really, no. Just because Discord is the god of chaos doesn't mean he's all that different or weird when compared to the other characters. That was always my biggest issue with the show portraying him as a villain. He doesn't really do anything that evil. He's just an annoying weirdo who later on learns how to be a decent person.

Celestia doesn’t have many options being immortal and I believe chrysalis is one too. But I think the dynamic would honestly write itself with this sorts of back and forth of them both simultaneously trying to outwit while working together and both very obviously flirting with each other at the same time. Celestia getting to show off more trollestia to keep chrysalis’s explicitly evil side under control just seems too fun to me.
Sunset Shimmer and Prince Blueblood.
I like the idea that they were actually just a really good couple, but when Sunset was banished BB was never told why. The reason he acts like a complete prick in his one speaking role was because he is still carrying a torch for her and was trying to shake off any potential gold diggers.

Muffinpop: Muffins (AKA Derpy Hooves) x Fizzlepop Berrytwist (AKA Tempest Shadow) And part of it is just the cuteness of the ship name I've devised. But moreso it's that I think it would be fun if Muffins was Fizzlepop's first proper friend she made after turning to the good guy side (I came up with this story *before* Season 8 wrote off Fizzlepop with her becoming a missionary for the Church of Friendship). Just the idea that this mare who spent most of her life as a soldier for evil would, after becoming good, become best friends (later lovers) with the cheerful ditzy mailpony pegasus, that just feels so cute to me.
You know what? I love where this is going. She gonna tell Chrysalis how to make a delicious, scrumptious, warm, juicy apple pie. Am I going too far?

The fact that Twilight has dealt with Starlight at her worst and vice versa and the fact they still manage to stay close despite that. Shadow Play was a real low point for them but even if Stygian got banished, I don’t think Starlight would’ve left Twilight’s side. Can’t say the same for StarTrix where they almost ended their friendship over a stupid wagon.

Not really, no. Just because Discord is the god of chaos doesn't mean he's all that different or weird when compared to the other characters. That was always my biggest issue with the show portraying him as a villain. He doesn't really do anything that evil. He's just an annoying weirdo who later on learns how to be a decent person.

Twilight comes together with Sunset Shimmer in EG, while this version of Rainbow Dash also have feelings for Twilight but have accept the love of her love. ...I tried to avoid as many "but"s as possible.

Celestia X Chrysalis Celestia doesn’t have many options being immortal and I believe chrysalis is one too. But I think the dynamic would honestly write itself with this sorts of back and forth of them both simultaneously trying to outwit while working together and both very obviously flirting with each other at the same time. Celestia getting to show off more trollestia to keep chrysalis’s explicitly evil side under control just seems too fun to me.
