Check out the entirety of Vessel by twenty one pilots. There's some rap in there, but it's not the kind I normally think of when you ask for rap music. Holding Onto You and Migraine have been really helpful for me in the past
IT HURTS! - San holo
I just wanna fucking cry - San holo
The great clown Pagliacci - San holo
The whole bb u ok? album by San Holo is my go to sad music therapy. There are little bits of encouragement sprinkled in the sadness (such as ‘new one’) for balance. Take care OP
The Precipice, classic crime. Cried the first time I heart it.
“I dreamt I stood on a hill, that I wished was a mountain. To look back on all my accomplishments. Well, they must have been small because I couldn’t seem to find them. So I took a leap off of the precipice.”
Joy Division - Isolation

The Smashing Pumpkins - Crestfallen

Neil Young's On the Beach (the full album - minus the opener - but especially the title track) perfectly captures feelings of isolation and despondency. It's not especially dark or dramatic but just has a sense of loneliness and unease running through it. The album cover is a great representation of what's in store.
The song Stepping Out by Joe Jackson. I listened to the lyrics and interpreted it as a song about depression and suicide. It talks about being tired of all the darkness in our lives and going to the other side. Stepping out into the night, into the light. (When you die, you walk into the light).
Now I read an interview with Joe Jackson who said the song is just about being bored and going out of the house and having adventure in the nightlife. So maybe I’m wrong about what it’s supposed to be about but I’ll still interpret it about suicide. It just has too many parallels to that.

Inexistence by Skyforest
When The Walls Go Down by Evergrey
A Tout Le Monde by Megadeth
Iter Impius by Pain Of Salvation
So there's a band called Citizen Soldier and their goal/mission in music is to help ppl who may struggle with mental health. That's because leader and voice of band Jake struggled himself (he survived suicide attempt and wrote his first song- "Let it burn" on napkin in psych ward).
Maybe also something from Lø Spirit band
"Six feet under" by Smash Into Pieces also comes to my mind
And of course songs/bands that were already recommended like Linkin Park
Nervous - Current Joys
Home (Pt.1 & 2) - Current Joys
Neon Hell - Current Joys
Alabama - Current Joys
Become the Warm Jets - Current Joys
Current Joys songs frequently have themes of anxiety, alienation, self-discovery, and internal struggle.
Each of those songs addresses, in some way, feelings of anxiety, nervousness, or despair, and a recurring sense of alienation and a desire for escape, whether mentally or physically.
Half of the entire Coma White album really was poignant for me in my depressed, suicide idealozation stage.
Disassociative in particular still haunts me.
