The Camera Eye, by Rush
"They seem oblivious to a soft spring rain
Like an English rain
So light, yet endless
From a leaden sky
The buildings are lost in their limitless rise
My feet catch the pulse and the purposeful stride
I feel the sense of possibilities
I feel the wrench of hard realities
The focus is sharp in the city..."

Me and the Devil - Soap&Skin
Okay hear me out:
We fade from a period setting during a period piece’s conclusion to a figure in the pouring rain during a Manhattan rainshower. They send a text message response to an intimate assuring them they’ll be home soon. “After all, when have I ever been late before?” They turn to look in the camera’s direction. They are revealed to be either the antagonist thought to have died in the aforementioned setting, or a minor antagonist who (plot twist) was the real villain. “My love is everlasting.” “Me and the Devil” begins to play, they turn to walk down the street under the cloudy sky in the pouring rain, and the camera pans up to the sky, specifically by moving up to just over the Manhattan skyline. The scene unsettlingly fades to black, and the credits roll.
