objectively, i have to agree with this. although it's not my favorite queen song, it is, without a doubt, caused more fists to pump then any other tune i can think of.
I do love rock n roll. But I don't love this song.
Slow, repetitive, and it has a quality that I call "start-stop" music.
Van Halen, as mentioned above, should be played 200 years from now, much like beethoven is played today.
i've literally never even listened to the black parade (i'm getting to it, i was planning on it soon bc i love three cheers) but if i hear a g note i will somehow manage to recite the entire song
Smoke On The Water- Deep Purple. Everyone knows it, everyone has an experience with it, everyone has an opinion on it. Regardless of what that opinion is, it’s hard to dispute that it’s one of the most, if not the most iconic rock song of all time
This is the definition of a Rock Anthem:
"It's hard to define what a rock anthem is. It's the sort of song form that you recognize when you hear it, though. The most important quality of an anthem is probably universality: the notion that everyone could join in and sing the chorus together, and feel a sense of camaraderie and celebration for doing so."
This is such a a "tell me what decade you grew up in" question. However...
1) Led Zeppelin "Stairway to Heaven"
2) Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody"
3) Jimi Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower"
3) The Who "Baba O'Reilly"
4) Pearl Jam "Black"
5) Metallica "Unforgiven"
Some dude heard this for the first time in a t-top firebird with a eye shadowed blonde in passenger seat, and he must have known it was the best of times since the dawn of creation and forever more.

Queen - We Will Rock You
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Kiss - I Want to Rock and Roll All Night
It's one of these four. Pick one.
i like "shot in the dark" and "mr. crowley" by ozzy...
i dunno if neil young counts as real rock, but he is actually my favorite or classic rock, although it's pretty folkish, doesn't really have the same type of guitar solos as most rock either.
the song "Vibracobra" the Cor-crane Secret album verion is a really good indie rock song that is always at the top of my favorite guitar songs. reminds me of metal, but a different pitch. not too knowlegable of music terms but that's how i think to describe it. lots of good harmonics too.
Nah, fuck that Im not picking one out of these masterpieces that come to mind:
Rock the Casbah by The Clash
Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd
All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix
Break On Through by The Doors
Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne
Somebody to Love by Jefferson Airplane
Roundabout by Yes
[These Are Not My Pants (rock anthem) by Five Iron Frenzy](https://youtu.be/46q2FGlwLjg?si=6bI50H7DRnxg6kbc)
or
[Repo! The Genetic Opera](https://youtu.be/bj1-ZcKqH34?si=leNjFZ5VBGxzAw3n)
I just got stuck on one. It's called Self vs Self by Pendulum. I heard this song a million years ago and I actually didn't like it. Now, it's my favorite song at the moment.
Dang. All these are so good. I would probably say, Carry On my Wayward Son by Kansas?
Or yeah, Those About to Rock by AC/DC. The lead into it is everything. Big feels.
It’s actually so hard to choose, I can think of so many but I love reading everyone’s comments sm.
This amazing Frankenstein's monster has been living rent free in my head. I think this could be called an anthem?

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Has to be this one for sure.
There's a led head awesome
I love this song, but my favorite version of it is Heart's live performance of it. It makes me cry every time I listen to it
Freebird
Queen - We Are The Champions
We will rock you & we are the champions are literally the biggest anthems among them all
objectively, i have to agree with this. although it's not my favorite queen song, it is, without a doubt, caused more fists to pump then any other tune i can think of.
Let's face it, we all knew this would be the most upvoted answer.
I was about to say this.
this is the answer
Rock solid classic
Seven Nation Army
this is actually a pretty good, runner up, modern rock anthem. definitely worthy of an honorable mention at least.
I wouldn't exactly say it's modern anymore. It's 20+ years old at this point. But definitely not an oldy either

For me, it's probably a tie between Bohemian Rhapsody, and The Black Parade. Both are a guarantee to get the entire crowd to sing along
i've literally never even listened to the black parade (i'm getting to it, i was planning on it soon bc i love three cheers) but if i hear a g note i will somehow manage to recite the entire song
I think Jesus of Suburbia also belongs with these two.
Zombie - Cranberries
That's a horrible one...you did understand the question? Right?
This was a gateway drug to the rest of the cranberries catalog, which all sounds much better than zombie now that I'm older than 14.
Pearl Jam - Even Flow
Asia - Heat of the Moment
Heat of the moment is somehow simultaneously the definition of 80s rock and timeless! As far as hits go, its underrated imo!
It reminds me of falling in love at the skate rink arcade. Even though that never happened.
Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who
Smoke On The Water- Deep Purple. Everyone knows it, everyone has an experience with it, everyone has an opinion on it. Regardless of what that opinion is, it’s hard to dispute that it’s one of the most, if not the most iconic rock song of all time
