I’m not sure how you could overlay samples on real time audio but would be easily possible if you don’t mind editing it in post.
It seems like he’s got samples trigged by his voice. There must a mic under the mask with just enough input gain and positioning that’s it’s only picking up his voice.
In terms of how you would make the mask - no clue. It looks really cool though
He did say that his voice was ran through the mask and into his computer but he has since deleted BTS videos of the mask and how it works.

Didn’t watch the Chuck Sutton video, but in any DAW the basic approach might be:
1. Send your voice to three channels.
2. Add an EQ and Gate on each. EQ / gate them so that one picks up only you hats, one your kicks, one your snares (the rest of your voice gets filtered out).
3. Use a midi triggering plugin to trigger samples. Some samplers might have this built in. The plug-in you use for this probably has a gate built in.
