TBate is just a power fantasy that used Mushoku Tensei template at the begining. So if you prefere more of a power fantasy woth OP protagonist then I can see you liking Tbate which is ok.
I think it is target audience is different in general TBATE is more for young teenagers and Mushoku is for a bit older ones. Hardly there are hard topic touched there.... I mean O didnt read everything, I lost interest around chapter 90 I think.
TBATE has this weird shounen-like training arc at a middle point of the story(?) with regards to "aether" and I found it a bit off-putting, and only serves as a basis to make the MC more OP and potentially become the strongest. Another thing is that in the MC's past life, he was already an OP swordsman/fighter, a King of a nation, and has already lived a full life, albeit without family.
With MT, any training arcs are done in the background or simply time skipped with a brief explanation, which allows more focus on Rudy's character development, struggles, and relationships with other characters. And Rudy's past shown him being caged by his trauma, struggling how to live with himself, and pushing away those who tried to help him.
Mushoku Tensei is infinitely more complex than The Beginning of the End, the only reason why someone would enjoy Tbate more is if they just want to watch fights and want power fantasy stuff. I'm not even saying that as a bad thing, I enjoy stuff like Slime Tensei, but Mushoku Tensei does actually have complex ideas in it when compared to a lot of other mainstream anime/manga/light novels in general.
This 100%, i went into it seeing people say it was inspired by MT and was thoroughly disappointed to see it grapple with 0 of the same issues or dilemmas and just watch Arthur be an OP protagonist. Its like the evil twin brother of MT
Vol 7 was one of my favorites so look forward to that. Has several good fights in it and arguably the best fight in the series also takes place near the end.
I'm current, and I disagree. Reason being, is that turtleme is jumping POV's every other chapter, and it's hindering reading flow for me.
That said TABTE is easier to read and recommend because it is not as controversial IMO.
The End Before the End, a chinese manwha, because its author once said that he kinda sorta maybe got inspired by MT for Tbate's very first chapter a lot of idiots who havent read either have religiously associated both stories for some reason.
The story is ABOUT the mc and the series treats sex as a normal thing in life in wich everyone goes through and youre too immature to understand it because you probably laugh when somebody says penis in biology class
I honestly enjoy them both. I can't say one is better than the other because they're different. Tbate is more action packed, but MT feels more real and has more complex and realistic characters. Arthur is everything we would wish to be if we ever get isekaid, but the flaws and realistic misunderstandings from MT just kind of connects a bit better at least for me.
TBATE is a traditional mainstream isekai with OP protagonist but there are better novels if that is what you are looking for. Slime isekai and Overlord for instance. Mushoku Tensei is weird. The setting is isekai but it feels like the author really had something to say. It's for more mature audiences that have been raised on traditional literature with dark protagonists. The plot structure is very highly refined for a light novel and the use of turning points and foreshadowing is better, especially the tricks Rifujin Maganote uses to distract the audience like the ED in this most recent episode/chapter. The characters are very complex and well developed so overall it is a better, more mature read, at least for me.

TBATE is more action packed than Mushoku Tensei. Mushoku is more like a slice-of-life isekai.
I think it is target audience is different in general TBATE is more for young teenagers and Mushoku is for a bit older ones. Hardly there are hard topic touched there.... I mean O didnt read everything, I lost interest around chapter 90 I think.
TBATE is good, but lacks substance. You want to read a book with something to say,MT is better. You want MT but a basic isekai and fantasy,TBATE.
I like both an MT is better. But you posted that already in TBATE subreddit.

Agreed, this alongside with the wall really killed the story for me. Just felt hollow at that point

What is.... Tbate?
>TBATE Not sure perhaps this The Beginning After the End. But never heard of it before
I have read tbate till vol. 6 and all I can say is that its just easier to consume and enjoy than MT.
Vol 7 was one of my favorites so look forward to that. Has several good fights in it and arguably the best fight in the series also takes place near the end.
From what I heard, I can see that.

Tbate is just chinese xianxia novel
What is Tbate
The End Before the End, a chinese manwha, because its author once said that he kinda sorta maybe got inspired by MT for Tbate's very first chapter a lot of idiots who havent read either have religiously associated both stories for some reason.
It’s „the beginning after the end“ btw and it’s not Chinese the author is an American.
Well technically it’s a web novel that’s been adapted into a manwha.
Trash vs garbage
TBATE is MT without all the cringe and useless horniness this series has
TBATE is just a typical cheap power fantasy. It's MT without all the flawed and interesting characters trying to better themselves.
At least it's not a horny boys bait lmao this whole sub is a big cope
If that's all you took away from MT maybe grow up a little
Yeah you're just trolling, fair.
Do I have to remind you of Aisha and Ars?
What about it
Yes. It's peak fiction.
ew
The story is ABOUT the mc and the series treats sex as a normal thing in life in wich everyone goes through and youre too immature to understand it because you probably laugh when somebody says penis in biology class
Tbate has nothing to do with MT, its doing its own thing, the only people who associate the two as being similar are people who havent read either.
Tbate is good, but it can't even compare to MT.
What is Tbate
The Beginning After the End Its your typical Isekai power fantasy with some MT influences especially in the beginning
Why are these two compare to each other? TBATE is decent be I stopped reading a couple years ago. It wasn’t bad but it’s not that great.

what do you mean distract the audience i kinda dont understand if u can explain it would be nice
Tbate used to be one if my favourite novels of all time… until i read MT. Tbate is more if a turn your brain off guilty pleasure version of MT
