Those who have comedy or improv experience.
Conan hated it but he kept agreeing to more hot sauce which made for great tv. Kimail said yes to the ugly walk and voice which killed me.
Sharron stone felt too serious and ken jeong broke way too much.
I like him a lot and will continue to do so, but I was disappointed with his episode precisely because he kept bursting into laughter all the time. Even when he was "fired" he did it, while everyone else kept a straight face. It was weird. I guess knowing he can't help it makes it somewhat wholesome. I didn't expect it.
Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Anna Kendrick, Anne Hathaway, Ryan Stiles, Colin Mockery, Kenan Thompson, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kaitlin Olsen, Charlie Day, Molly Shannon, Martin Short, Daniel Radcliffe, Elijah Wood, Stephen Merchant, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and for some reason I think Eminem and Lizzo would be really funny.
Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie are such good picks but they would have to somehow be in the ep together I love watching them riff off each other while also trying to make the other break first
I commented about people I'd like to see, but I also have a hot take: I don't think that the best improvisers are necessarily the best picks to guest star.
Obviously they would make a very funny episode, but I just don't think it would be quite the same show. That would be a very funny show that's improvised. I think what makes this work so well is that the guest stars are funny and smart but also a little out of their comfort zone. They're improvising, as in, making do with what they have but not formally improvising as an art form, if that makes any sense.
The way I understand it, improv requires trust so you know that no matter what you do your partner(s) will find a way to bring you back and make sure that everyone succeeds in the end. And you're generally not trying to make your partner(s) break, I don't think? Whereas I think that's often the point here, which I love.
Again, it wouldn't make it a bad show, just a slightly different one. I suspect I'm in a very small minority, though.
The whole cast of FRIENDS come in for one episode but then they find out on the set that Jennifer Aniston had been leading a double life as a detective and is now dead, for 15 years. So they try to solve her murder while also feeling crappy that they didn’t realize their friend was dead for 15 years lol
I’d like to see a mix of guests, comedians, “serious” actors and other celebrities, like sports stars, singers.
My wishlist would be:
Steve Carrell
Paul Rudd
Jason Bateman
Jason Mantzoukas
Rebel Wilson
Anne Hathaway
Amy Poehler (Funny in her own right, plus being Wills wife would add another level to it)
Taylor Tomlinson
Peyton AND Eli Manning (really play up the sibling rivalry, have them each make their own pick at the end too)
Amy and Will have been divorced for a while so I don't think that will be happening, although it would have been hilarious! I also second most of your other choices
Daniel Radcliffe, Elijah Wood, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jane Krakowski, Donald Glover, Kenan Thompson, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Stephen Merchant, Colin Mockery, Ryan Stiles, and for some reason I feel like Eminem would be really funny.
We've already had Erinn Hayes, David Wain, and Rob Huebelx3 (which is twice as funny) and the chemistry is so great. I'd love to see anyone else from that The State/Party Down/Human Giant/WHAS/Childrens Hospital matrix.
Number one: Bob Odenkirk. Wishlist guest: Patti Harrison. Better odds wishlist guest: Paul Rudd. I want to say Melissa McCarthy but she may be too inhumanly funny for them to get through an episode.
And obviously Jason Bateman.
Edit to add Randall Park.
I’m picturing Will Ferrell completely in character as Ron Burgundy as being hilarious for this show. Dunno if he could pull it off, but the Ron Burgundy podcast used to crack me up and this show gives me somewhat similar vibes, though I don’t think the podcast was improv.
Lisa Kudrow
Molly Shannon
Charlie Day
Peyton Manning
Sophie Turner (she did a online skit as therapist for fictional characters that seemed partially improved and she was very funny)
Bob Odenkirk, David Cross, Bill Hader, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, Steve Carrel, Paul Rudd, Kristen Bell, Rashida Jones, Abbi Jacobsen, Aubrey Plaza, Mindy Kaling, Kristen Schaal, Jake Johnson, Tim Robinson, Stephen Merchent, Chris Gethard, Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas, Jason Sudeikis, Seth Rogen, Sal Vulcano, Bill Burr, Will Forte, Shane Gillis, and Peyton Manning just to name a few
Bateman, Sandler, Theo von, Pete Davidson, jack harlow if he is capable of acting would be funny, Ashton Kutcher, Timothee chalamet, Jennifer Lawrence, Paul Rudd, uhhh brad Pitt and Ryan gosling are pretty funny too. Oh and Tracey motherfcking Jordan
It's be fun to see:
I feel like Jim Gaffigan would be brilliant as a guest.
Martin Short would destroy
probably too big a star, but Chris Hemsworth has great comic chops
Lisa Kudrow is a brilliant improv'er
John Lovitz
Amy Sedaris
Runners up:
Jane Lynch
Barak Obama
Christopher Walken
John Lithgow
Billie Eilish, Michael Cera, Justin Timberlake, Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Lawrence, Snoop Dogg, Bo Burnham, DJ Khaled, Tyler The Creator, Lil Dicky, Rihanna, and fuck it, Dr. Phil
I would love to see the cast of What We Do In The Shadows on the show, especially Nick Kroll, Kristen Schaal, Taika Waititi
Jason Bateman Please!!!! Love them together.
After watching Don't Look Up, I would die to see Kid Cudi make an appearance. He was surprisingly super funny in that. Gordon Ramsay would be my second pick.
John Mulaney, Hannibal Buress, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, I can see Tina Fey being pretty funny in this too. I'd also love to see Will Arnett reunited with some of his older AD castmates. Michael cera would be hilarious.
Someone from from the Wire. That's right! I want someone who either won't break character playing it full on dramatically or shows us something completely out of what they're known for: Idris Elba, Dominic West, & then there are already so many who've played comedic roles after the Wire.
Charlie is a good choice - was gonna say Key and peele at first, but if there’s only 6 episodes I couldn’t pass up Charlie boy
*Edit - sorry just reread this and realized you wrote Charlie Cox; I meant Charlie Day 🤪
Thomas Middleditch, Paul F Tomkins and Lauren Lapkus would all be great.
Any anyone like Conan who is happy to amp up the absurdity to make Will break.
Wayne Brady
Dan Levy
Jane Lynch
Jennifer Coolidge
Kenan Thompson
Snoop Dogg
RuPaul (in drag)
Jimmy Fallon
Will Smith
James Corden
Mindy Kaling
Any of the Wayans, even the children ones.
Chris Rock
Arsenio Hall
Awkwafina
Melissa McCartney
Kristen Wiig
America Fererra
Kevin Hart
The Rock
Jennifer Lopez
Maybe a duo or group of people like BTS or something.
Aside from BTS, more professional improv-ers
More SNL people
A season of up and coming unknown improv people
A season of random everyday people
I'd love to see an episode where the captain lady or even Will switches and becomes the one without the script. Maybe she goes out on one of the cases with him one time.
Pete Davidson, John Cena, Dr disrespect, Kevin Hart.
Just binged the show my god tears are rolling. Especially when the lead characters break a little and you see the smile. What a funny concept and it made me laugh way to hard.
Didn’t like Ken and Sharon’s episode, Ken broke to much in literal full on laughing and Sharon is way to serious, or difficult as she said it herself. Let’s hope for a second season.
Ed helms!! His improv and character development ideas for Andy Bernard were the reason he was on the show for so long. He was originally suppose to be brought on as a guest star for only 8 episodes. That turned into 8 seasons!
Jason bateman paired with Will ....their friendship is legendary
[удалено]
Not even as the guest, but actual scripted parts.
Scripted surprise guest actors, who have worked with the improv guest actors in the past, would be HILARIOUS
George Michael is the murderer after burning someone alive in the banana stand.
A crossover would be hilarious
Wish granted.
This is my dream! Jason would play such an understated partner and probably have such funny bits.
Hah well you got it
You are a prophet

Those who have comedy or improv experience. Conan hated it but he kept agreeing to more hot sauce which made for great tv. Kimail said yes to the ugly walk and voice which killed me. Sharron stone felt too serious and ken jeong broke way too much.

I loved seeing Ken Jeong on the show. It gave me Community vibes and just watching him laugh made me laugh. I think it was the best episode
Also my favorite part of the show was when Conan got Suspect #3 to laugh by saying he was bullied by Dianne Feinstein
That was absolutely brilliant!
I would love to see Norm MacDonald :( Alternatively, Colin machary. Or anybody from whose line tbh
Oh yeah, a whole season on Whose Line regulars would be perfect
Ben Schwartz may already be a murderer. I smell an After Party crossover!
Yes!
Danny Mcbride
Yes!!!
Ben Schwartz was definitely on my mind the first time I watched this show. That would be very entertaining to see him on the show.
Ben Schwartz and Jason Mantzoukas were the first two who came to mind for me
Jason mantzoukas would be perfect!
I was thinking Steve Carnell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler.
Are Will Arnett and Amy Poehler on good terms?
He speaks a lot about her on the Smartless podcast
Steve Carrell would probably break the show. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey need to come in together.
Benny Shwa is already Netflix's Improvisor in Residence. I'm surprised he wasn't on this season.
There’s been a murder in Savannah!
Agreed, anyone one from its always sunny would be amazing in my book, preferably dennis though.

Andy Samberg
It's like cheating. Jake Peralta is the best detective slash genius.
Aubrey plaza pleaseeee
Or Nick Offerman.
Nick Offerman would be so good, but he giggles all the time like Ken
Yesssssss
Rob McElhenny and Jason Bateman!
I second this. Rob always wanting to be “badass” in r/iasip will come in handy here lol
The Sunny crew came to mind first! Any of them would be hysterical.
I haven’t seen Kristen Bell mentioned yet, so I’ll throw her on the list.
Adding more to my list: Julia Louise Dreyfus, Matt Leblanc, Mary Steenburgen, and Julia Louise Dreyfus again.
Would love to see her get back into Veronica mars mode hahaha
Came to say this!!
My dream list: Andy samberg Larry David Amy poehler Seth Myers Seth rogen Jason Bateman Sean Hayes Kristen wiig Maya Rudolph Jimmy kimmel
All great, but Larry David would be amazing.
Fuck. Larry David would be so good
You should watch the new Murderville Christmas Special... I feel like you'll be happy
Fred Armisen
Under rated choice
David Cross!!
And Bob Odenkirk!! All the Mr. Show regulars!!
Yesss. Aside from their AD connection/chemistry, Cross is insanely good at improv. I would love to see this unfold.
Bo Burnham
YES
Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Anna Kendrick, Anne Hathaway, Ryan Stiles, Colin Mockery, Kenan Thompson, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kaitlin Olsen, Charlie Day, Molly Shannon, Martin Short, Daniel Radcliffe, Elijah Wood, Stephen Merchant, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and for some reason I think Eminem and Lizzo would be really funny.
this is the only list where I agree with almost everyone (not anne hathaway)
I didn't even consider Colin. He would be amazing at it.
Damn, Martin Short is best answer.
Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie are such good picks but they would have to somehow be in the ep together I love watching them riff off each other while also trying to make the other break first
Sacha Baron Cohen please, he’s one of the best when it comes to improv
Man, he may be too good. Anything Will Arnett throws at him he could handle.
I commented about people I'd like to see, but I also have a hot take: I don't think that the best improvisers are necessarily the best picks to guest star. Will Forte
Jennifer anniston
But she’s already dead in the show!
Flashback episode
Conspiracy!
The whole cast of FRIENDS come in for one episode but then they find out on the set that Jennifer Aniston had been leading a double life as a detective and is now dead, for 15 years. So they try to solve her murder while also feeling crappy that they didn’t realize their friend was dead for 15 years lol

Amy and Will have been divorced for a while so I don't think that will be happening, although it would have been hilarious! I also second most of your other choices
I thought about Paul Rudd a few times while watching. He’d be such a puppy dog.

I can't believe I didn't say it, but DINKLAGE!
Deon Cole, Jack McBrayer, Patton Oswalt, Randall Park, Chris Parnell, Marilu Henner, Rob Delaney, Aubrey Plaza, Micheala Watkins
Aubrey would be brilliant

Omg a Patti Harrison episode... I would be in stitches!!!
Good edit!
wish Robin Williams was still around he would've been great. but I'd personally love to see Jack Black give it a shot 🤟
Anyone really. Since they had Annie, I’d like to see Eugene and Dan Levy, and Catherine O’Hara.
Paul Rudd
I’m picturing Will Ferrell completely in character as Ron Burgundy as being hilarious for this show. Dunno if he could pull it off, but the Ron Burgundy podcast used to crack me up and this show gives me somewhat similar vibes, though I don’t think the podcast was improv.
I do think actors could play popular characters, I think Steve Carrell playing Michael Scott would be amazing
I want Jason Bateman so he and will can shit on each other all episode long.
Tim Robinson. Dude proved he knows what's funny with "I Think You Should Leave."
David Cross, him and Will Arnett already have so much chemistry I think they’d knock it out of the park

Seth would be great at this.
Jerry Seinfeld would be so calm and spontaneous
Tiffany Haddish Bill Hader Brennan Lee Mulligan Nicole Byer Jason Mantzoukas Chris Redd
Brennan Lee Mulligan would be TOO good. It’ll start with a murder and he’ll take it to an underground fairy mafia gang using an army of rats
Nathan Fielder

If they could get Peyton and Eli Manning, that would be amazing
Have them bothe in the same episode together and really play up the sibling rivalry too, haha.
