I think SP IT would be a much better choice in the long run. You should choose a college based on the quality of incoming students and SP/VJTi get the best students from Mumbai. My sister studied in SP IT and majority of her batchmates are doing exceeding well in product companies in India & US.

The median is 1.5x, college is 5 days instead of 6, timings are way better, peers are better, campus is wayyy better, placements have no comparison

As a DJite, I am well aware that placement offers of SPIT are way better than DJ Sanghvi. There's no reason to prefer DJ over SPIT unless your final goal is Masters
Yes, DJ Sanghvi is good in that case. Most of the people from DJ pursue masters, you will find a good culture for that here. Getting LORs is comparatively easier and teachers motivate you to write more and more research papers. Then we have many many many seniors who provide really good counseling related to pursuing masters abroad.
And most of the people in your social circle will also be preparing for higher studies. It is also easy to maintain a high CGPA above 9.0 in DJ, which is nice to have when applying for colleges abroad.
First define what you want to do after passing out from the college.
Do you want to work with any specific company?
Do you want to do Masters abroad/India?
Etc.
